Bangkong Kahoy Valley Nature Retreat and Field Study Center - Nature reserve in Calauan, Philippines
Best place to enjoy nature. Though the place is located uphill so the road is very steep. Better if your vehicle is 4WD or with a high ground clearance. But to my surprise, some MIO motorcyle can climb up the road with no problem. The place is very peaceful, with a small cafe, zip line, camping ground, CR and shower, sink and an honesty store. Mobile signal is quite weak but that OK since relaxing is more important than social media.
This is a rocky road going up from the village, so best to have a higher profile vehicle, or take a Grab or taxi. Very breathtaking views- saw a Philippine Eagle up there. It is right between Mts. Banahaw and Cristobal. If they have any Lambanog, BUY IT. Best quality, and one flavor is Sampinit, the local wild raspberry. Time well spent.
sulit ang pagod napaka ganda✅✅🌏salamat sa kalikasan😇#bangkongkahoy
The place is so green, its a wow. Its a relaxing place for those who love nature and like camping. The place is between Mt. Banahaw and Mt. San Cristobal.Plus:+ nice crew+ fresh air+ relaxing ambience+ good food+ camping+ enough parking space+ clean public toilet+ garden+ view deck+ honesty storeMinus- no phone signal.- no WIFI accessible for guest.- hard to reach because of narrow roads and some unpaved part of the road.- no facilities for wheelchair.
A place to relax... zzzzzZz
This is a serene and peaceful site. To the youth who like to camp:Please do not litter, specially plastics. Put them in your pocket. Please do not bring big speakers. Not everyone likes your music. If you cook or build campfire, please extinguish the fire completely. Smoke pollution is air pollution is pollution. Smoke defeats the fresh are we breathe.Keep your laughter down. Its nice to be with friends but please be respectful of others, specially when it gets dark.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Great escape spot from the city🛵💨⛰⛺️
I love the place I been there twice with my friends Delicious Pizza and Pancit the price of the food is cheap very good ambiance.
Excellent views, Great people, great accomodation, Priceless andBreathetaking experience

Its really great for natures lover
Cold place
Best place for a bike destination with good restaurant for good foods after a gruelling uphill climb.
The perfect place of solace.
Home
Worth the trip.
One of the best hidden gems to go to if you love to go under the radar and connect to nature.
Great place to unwind!
We had an amazing time staying in this magnificent place in Dolores, Quezon! A perfect place if you want to be with nature! Youll love its weather for sure! If you also love camping, look no more baby!👍 Their drinking water is promising! Friendly staffs too! Generous sa foods servings.♥️
Great place to relax and finding a peace of mind
Its super nice here. I got here by luck and liked to stay 1 night. You have different bungalows and a camping side for the budget travelers.Dont expect high level bungalows. They are simple but have everything you need. Also its more about the integration into the nature and tourism and nature beside each other. The organic farming follows the same idea. The people running the restaurant and farm are really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm hearted to every visitor.I still love it here, the farm is surrounded by beautiful nature and you have a few outdoor activities. If the people are inviting you to play frisbee, be careful, its a real sport not only throwing a frisbee around. I loved it.Please come and visit the beautiful place and support their ideas in farming and tourism.
Its a beautiful place in the lap of nature with pure oxygen and cold breeze. Green grounds available for trekking and camping is good enough to lift your spirits. However, the people managing the food and room service need to be a bit more helpful and kind.
Great view
Bangkong Kahoy is a hidden unspoiled natures beauty with pristine landscapes for nature lovers. As you walk with nature, you will find beauty everywhere and you can feel the mystic powers sorrounding the area. The staff are all friendly and the food was excellent.
Super enjoy the beautiful view and cool climate.
We enjoy the view, food and camping site specially at night.
Recommended for a quick weekend getaway. Food was great and Sir Dion is so welcoming. They even have camping grounds. At night, you can rome around the forest area to see the tree with fireflies. Definitely going back to pitch tent.
The most beautiful and relaxed place weve been to during our holiday in the Philippines! Dion (the ownerand his brothers were amazing people and very accommodating. The staff? No words could ever explain how beautiful these people are! Unbelievably hospitable and kind. Oh! and they played frisbee so well!! We enjoyed the pick up game with them too. The food are ALL organic and theyre their own produce. Buffet brekky, lunch and dinner (yum yum!with morning and arvo snacks included. You will never go hungry! I highly recommend the TARO NUGGETS and MUSHROOM TEMPURA... They are glorious!! Better than any kind of meat, I tell you. Dont forget to check out their activities too (horse back riding, zipline, frisbee pick up game, etc). We enjoyed the hike to Tres Picos in Mt. Banahaw and enjoyed the cleanest water in the Philippines (if not in the world!). Be prepared for the challenge of the climb though so do wear a suitable pair of hiking shoes. Runners will do and leave your expensive, stylish sneakers behind. We will never forget our stay here. We will definitely come back in the future!
Memorable place para saming magasawa. Feeling namin kami si Alden at Maybe💞
Great place to unwind and relax. However, management should IMPLEMENT STRICTER POLICY (ie some guests would prefer the tranquility of silence and sound of nature so please avoid bringing loud speakers -- please please please, if you want to play loud music then just go to a nearby bars or use earphones; please be considerate naman, learn RESPECT - Pakiusap naman po sa ibang guests respeto naman po, hindi po lahat gusto makinig sa momoland sa speakers nyo, nag babakasyon po tayo para mag relax at lumayo sa ingay ng siyudad)And if you want to drink liquors its fine but please also minimize the noise, chillax lang di kelangan magsigawan sa inuman pero kung maiiwasan wag na mag inuman o kaya yung tamang inom lang ng alak)Proper waste disposal (ihiwalay naman po natin yun nabubulok sa di nabubulok - kung di mo magawa sumama ka na lang po sa basurahan)Minimize the use of bonfire, theres designated area for the bonfire, pede naman makipag socialize.Respeto na lang po sa kapwa guest at sa nature.
This place is good to relax escape to city and need silent place only nature and you. also for mountaineer and biker
This place is nice! Ang ganda ng part na to ng bundok, madami pang puno. Mababait pa ang crew. Di ko lang masyado naenjoy kasi umuulan nung pumunta kami dito. 😅
Peaceful retreat to explore and reflect
This place is probably one of the oldest known place to go during summer vacations around Dolores, Quezon area. Traveling, however, to that location is quite difficult since some of the parts are still rough roads. They have entrance fees for visitors. When we visited Bangkong Kahoy, downhill trails are quite inaccessible. The bridge is also closed. Many of their areas need upkeep. Nevertheless, youd definitely feel the fresh air from Mt. Banahaw. Still, we hope that the management would do some improvements on their structures.
Maganda dito. malamig. libre ang kape. tsaka yung berry. may rare na bulaklak at maganda ang tanawin.
Great place to unwind and camp. Stars are amazing here. Fabulous view of mountains as well. Must try their mushroom burger. Hard to go here tbh but worth it.
kung mahilig kayo sa nature ito na yon.maganda ang place tahimik malinis at masarap ang pagkain
Its a serene healing place nestled between two mystical mountains and truly a place to commune with nature.
No need to go as far as Baguio if you want to experience cold breeze. Bangkongkahoy is perfect. For those who wants to commune with nature, and with ones self, this is the place to be.The food is great. The staff are warm, courteous and accommodating.I will definitely come back. I love you Bangkongkahoy.
We had the best time as we relaxed in the area. We had an open cottage with mosquito nets which surprisingly act as protection from both the mosquitoes and the night wind. We had organic vegetables and freshly cooked food (buffet stylefor breakfast, lunch and dinner. The people of Bangkong Kahoy were some of the warmest, jovial people I have met in my travels and being there felt like being welcomed by your own family. Our initial plan of staying overnight turned into a two-night stay.It is a must that you book ahead as they limit the number of guests so as to ensure that peace and quiet is achieved. You can contact them via Facebook or via their website. What to do there:1. Camp and do bonfire in their camping grounds2. Wander around the area and see football fields where horses graze and where you can run as wild and free as you want.3. Walk around the trails and pick guava from the guava trees along the way4. See how mushrooms are grown!5. Eat their delicious Mushroom burger, mushroom hopia (which you can order on handand their minatamis na saba dessert (part of the buffet). Of course, the buffet menu is based on which vegetables are in season or available.6. Help out with their vegetable garden. Cultivate your green thumb and learn the basic ropes of vegetable gardening. Look for Gio, wake up at 6am and help out, we did!7. If you are lucky, you can pick sampinit (wild raspberries)8. Horseback riding is available upon request.9. Bird watching. See the very rare Whiskered Pita in their natural habitat. Ask for Kuya Cris, the pita whisperer and you will surely see these "bigotes".10. Look at (or chase!their free range chicken.11. Mudslide (when you are lucky enough that it is set-up)12. Stargazing and astro-photography :-)13. Have fun with their resident cutie, young boy Nayon who looks so adorable trying to help his parents in the vegetable garden (while making a mess on his clothes).
a great place for relaxation and nature tripping :)
great for discerning
Perfect place to relax and appreciate nature. Must try the wild raspberry picking. 😀
A nice place to stay where you can relax and enjoy nature. The guides are very friendly (clue: look for Felix). Reasonable price for the entrance and lodging. They have vegan options and they grew organic mushrooms! They have raspberries as well.Must try: raspberry lambanog. Their very own concoction of the local coconut wine. Well visit again soon! :)
Love the place and keep going back for more fresh air, mountain views, peace, and quiet. Overnight options for everyone. Great local food. Good vegan options. Nice birds.
Its a great place to find peace. If you like it quiet and you can enjoy time without electronics, this is for you. If you like nature, birds and clean air. This is for you.If you cant live without cable TV, karaoke and bars, dont come here. Theres no list of excursions or events. Just find your peace and enjoy the quiet time. Some of their cottages are open air. One wall and a roof, plus a bathroom.PS. It is located north of Baranggay Kinabuhayan. Make your way to Kinabuhayan and turn left just before you enter the barrio. There will be signs.
please fix location in google maps
