Ginger chicken, beef curry & coconut soup are featured at this casual spot serving Thai standards.
Dont waste your time with this place. Ordered online and never got my food.. Called for an update no answer. This is not the first time this happens. So many other Thai restaurants to choose from pick somewhere else
I attempted to order delivery online my card was charged and everything went through and I never heard a thing from the resturaunt, so I called no answer that was yesterday. I still have not received my refund 😕 or a response or answer from a manger or employee once !! Do not order online horrible service ! At this point I was literally robbed of 26$ dollars !!! I have been calling for the past 2 days ! This is so unprofessional I had to come on here to maybe get the resturaunts attention. Where is your manager? I want my money back !!!!!!! Immediately!
Update your hours. Sitting here at9 pm. Place is locked up. Wish I didnt waste my time driving over here. Thanks a lot.
Tried this restaurant was not happy with the food..will not be going back.
Very good, fresh and tasty food as well felt comfortable
Always fresh and yummy. Love the veg options
This place is delicious I just ordered the steamed vegetable Gayosa and the fried rice with tofu and veggies. Thank you guys you are awesome!
Good food and good prices. For the moment just for to go.
Satay - Small portion. Flavor was good. No char on the chicken like it was made in a pan. In comparison to other less expensive places it get 2 stars.Order was short. I ordered 2, they sent 1, which they corrected imediately. On response to their error, they get 5 stars.Chow mein - very bad. Noodles were mushy over cooked and no flavor. The veggies were a mix of Broccoili carrots celery and bockchoy. Some were over cooked and some were raw. That was very strange. After a few bites I put it in the waste bin. This gets 1 star.Thai tea - good. Decent size and flavor was good. It gets 3 stars. Good but not memorable.
I dont appreciate them upcharging. Adding to a sales tax and rounding is not how you charge people. Even though covid puts us at hard times its unfair to charge others more.
BUCKLE UP! I ordered pad thai for delivery. Got it in a reasonable amount of time. Unpacked the food, ready to dive in, and...something doesnt look right. If you look at the pic, there in the middle of that potential goodness is a metal twist tie. Hiding among the noodles. So, I called to let them know I need another one. And, Ill drive it back there. The gentleman on the phone said, "No problem, Ill give you another one and your money back." Exactly what they should do. And heres where things go bad really fast.Im getting ready to go back and I get a call. From that guy. He asks if Im coming in. Yes, of course, but since I had it delivered, I have to get ready. OK.Then, after about seven minutes, while Im on the way, I get another call. He asks where Im at. Not far, I say. Then he asks if I want my money back or for them to replace the food. Hmmm, didnt you just tell me what you were going to do? By the time we get nowhere on the phone, Im there and tell him well finish this discussion in person.Bottom line: he insists he never said hed take care of the bill and the food. He gets whipped up, which gets me whipped up. I walk out of there with no food and he offers me $10! Not even close to what I had spent. To top it off, while were in the middle of a real, live pandemic, this guy has NO GLOVES on! And hes making and serving food! What the hell?SKIP THIS PLACE! Stay away. Plenty of great Thai places in the area that dont have a rude, ignorant proprietor who doesnt understand how to take care of a customer when HE screws up; or even how to run a safe kitchen.Note 1: It looks like this place is listed on other review sites under a different name.Note 2: I dont think its in him, but if I see a "Sorry we didnt live up to your expectations, what can we do" response, Im going to lose it.
Very small bowl for 9$ really i pay $9and50cents i get i big bowl and a side of white rice at tasty food Bangkok Thai Cuisine is a rip off will never go there again but i have to admit it its pretty good
The owner if very friendly and appreciative of the take our order. The food was just okay, nothing special.
Delicious family owned Thai Restaurant! Love their Pad se-ew and curries. Whenever Im in town I stop here. Excellent service and hospitality.
I love the coconut soup.# 11 Tom-Yum without TOFUAlways fresh ingredients. Made to perfection. I feel like they really care that my food is high quality. Visiting this restaurant is my little slice of Thai family cooking.
The food was great, the environment was nice, and the staff there are nice and great.
I like to come to this Thai place mostly because its usually slow and mostly get takeout orders so my boyfriend and I usually get our privacy and favorite birth every time. Tonight we came here for Valentines because we wanted a great meal and a nice dining experience. The service is always amazing. The ladies that serve here are so sweet and helpful if you dont know what to order. We had a plentiful and tasty meal with the best service ever. Id rather come here than any fancy restaurant because the food is very good quality and the experience is even better.
Absolutely wonderful taste and great food! Pad see ew is to die for ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Nice food and clean place. Very comfortable.
Definitely the best Thai food Ive had
Like this place, good fresh entrees that are reasonably priced. Recommended!!!
Although the place is modest looking, it is very clean and the food is soooo good. The price is really affordable too. Good prices on their beers too. The service was good and our server was so sweet. I will definitely be coming back.
Ordered Pad Thai got gooey brown noodles with what looked like a frozen vegetable medley mixed it.
Went around 1 p.m. today for lunch. Ordered the red curry chicken lunch special, lady didnt look too happy about that. It came with a salad which was good with the peanut sauce. I heard a microwave go off twice and after the second time my food was brought out. Lets me know my food was not made fresh at all. Could definitely tell by the way the chicken tasted. There was only a couple dining there when I arrived so that shouldve been a sign for me. Its Friday, close to downtown, its lunchtime, should be busy if the food and service is at least good here. But it wasnt. All in all, I paid $10.97. Wouldnt recommend or be returning.
Our Family has been eating here for over 20 years. It is the citys best Thai hands down.Tom Ka Soup + Pad See ew + Cashew Nut Chicken + Rice
Consistent quality Thai cuisine, attentive friendly service. Ordered Tom yum kai soup, minty chicken, cashew chicken. Aloy mahk, Kap khun mahk, kap!
Little out of place hole in the wall the food was excellent and way underpriced the seafood fried rice was too much and I could not finish it this is a place I will go to again
The wait staff wasnt very attentive, but the food was good.
Well, I used to go here because the food is delicious and they used to have good portions for a decent price. Prices and quality are the same but when we ordered last our meals were miniscule. Not worth the price. Even stranger, we had to call the restaurant for our delivery order over an hour later, and when we went downstairs our delivery driver was standing in the middle of our courtyard watching something on his phone, and had apparently been there for a while.... get it together.
Pros: Delivery fee was only $1 and arrived exactly when estimated by email. Food was warm upon delivery. Vegetable Rolls were totally unique, deep fried but not greasy with excellent plum sauce. Peanut sauce was great.Cons: Pad Se Eew was totally sub-par, there was no sweet sauce at all, the noodles were too soggy, not nearly enough broccoli. Peanut salad was very disappointing, just an odd combination of vegetables, sliced too thick.Bottom line: would not order from here again.
I ordered the combination plate, red curry tofu, garlic broccoli tofu and veggie soup. My partner ordered the Panang curry. I asked for vegan, the waiter said okay. I am giving this place 1 star because the vegetable soup had a piece of chicken in it and the broth was chicken stock. The menu is very misleading to the vegetarians/vegans. Also, the tofu was not cooked all the way, it was pretty raw. The red curry was bland and tasted exactly the same as the Panang. Will not be coming back to this restaurant.
Best Thai food in the neighborhood. Top three in Long Beach.
We always order from here and its great. Tonight we ordered spicy fried rice which we always get and tonight it was almost like a mix between the fried rice and their basil rice and it was honestly just bad. We feel like we wasted our money. Not going to order from here anymore because it was too much money to justify an incorrect order.
Favorite Thai food in Long Beach! Been coming back here for nearly 20 years. (Woa!)
Real Thai flavors in a simple environment. Staff are Thai and treat you well 😊 Portion sizes are generous and prices are great (Brown rice, Basil Chicken, and bowl of Tom Yum for $14). Check it out if you want some authentic Thai food!
The curry is watery and they charge extra for rice. Not my favorite thai restaurant
When I am sick, there is pretty much 2 things that helps my sore throat and hay fever - beef noodle soup or pho. The beef noodle soup at Bangkok did not disappoint. It is absolutely delicious. The restaurant has that hole in the wall feel that I love in Thai food places, it makes me feel like Im back at my favorite place in Dallas. I love level 5 spicy.
Had to wait for an hour and a half for bad food. Ate here about 4 years ago and thought I would give it another try. Huge mistake. Rude server and awful food. How I this place still in business? Thai Silk. Glad I bought extra toilet paper. This food is garbage.
Ive been a couple of times, trying different things. What Ive noticed about many of the dishes is that they put a lot of sugar in their food, even fried rice and tum yum soup (a spicy, sour soupwere sweet. I would not recommend the egg rolls either; they are mostly dough with a small amount of cabbage and carrot (see picture). The place and service are great with reasonable prices, just wish the food wasnt sweet.
Good clean flavorful food, with good portions at a reasonable price.
It is really good the noodles are the best and the food is amazing I cant explain it i highly recommend this to other people you wont regret eating here.
Excellent food. Been going for years. Garlic rice chicken is my favorite. Pad Thai noodles are great! Very good friendly service!
Fast...faster than I expected ..friendly ..yummy ..everything pretty good...chicken larb salad yummm! Tom yum soup...sour and spicy ...I always order sticky rice and mango for dessert ...u wont go wrong here .The larb salad is not ground chicken but rather pieces of chicken in a spicy lime dressing but still pretty good. All in all I would order again. The fried won ton would be nicer if there were more shrimp or meat inside..but i can live with it. No utensils or napkins included FYI. Be warned ..if u ask for spicy tom yum soup...be prepared.. Its super spicy !!
Prices and quality and lack of grease and diversity in flavor is best I can find in Long Beach, born and raised! Service was clear and concise, guy on the phone helped me order quick knowing what meats matched best with certain dishes. Its rare for me to have a server on the phone assist me well with my indecisiveness . I cant believe how it beats my formerly first favorite thai restaurant! By far!
Unhelpful staff I arrived 20 minutes prior to closing and they did not want to take my order, claiming their kitchen was closed even though their time is posted open till 10.
A diamond in the rough, this place has great food, great service (Nikko), at a great price. I highly recommend this establishment. Try the Thai iced tea.
I have been eating here on and off since 1997, and have never, ever been disappointed. From the peanut sauce to the green curry to the Thai iced tea, I havent found a Thai restaurant yet that compares.
A cockroach ran across my table! I didnt make a big deal of it! Then I found out years later my best friend got severe food poisoning. He recently tried to give them another chance and after He was almost done with His food he found a hair! "NEVER AGAIN!" The food is Amazing but not worth it!
My favorite place to go I absolutely adore this place. My second home. Peanut girl!
I have been going here for over ten years and I do not what happened to them. Now the food takes two hours to make, they keep you waiting for 90 mins+ telling you your food will be ready, when asked, they say "We are too busy" This is the fifth time this has happened in two weeks. Safe to say will not be going there ever again. I guess they have found new customers they dont need the old ones anymore.
