Nice spot for a day out for history lovers. Youll find awesome vintage paintings and antiques and the castle like structure is something you get to only at few places. The garden could be maintained more efficiently. Ticket price is a bit high and they wont allow to take photos or videos unless you pay a 300/- additional.
Loved the greenery the most here. Some really pretty flowers too. The creepers make the palace look so pretty. Steps inside are very steep to climb. The photo put on some walls seem out of place. There are some monochromatic paintings which were my favourite
Bangalore palace is nice place to visit while you at Bangalore. Its not that much big like other palace in Rajasthan. It will tool max of 45min of your time to cover whole palace starting to end. 240rs p.p of ticket with free audio guide. Neat clean and nice place with outside garden.
On first look I was totally astound by the beauty of this palace. It had really long queue and was crowded. When we entered inside i kinda didn’t feel like i was inside the same building. It’s interior were all hidden behind lots of photo frames which made it look like a junkyard. Another reason for making me feel like that was there were no written description given for any of the frames, only audio devices were handed out but we didn’t get any due to it’s shortage. Not knowing the history of Bengaluru palace even after being there and having to pay high price on tickets for being foreigner made the whole experience not so good.
The palace is beautiful and worth visiting for. The ticket cost was 230 per person. They dont allow photography within the palace. There is only one place outside the palace where you are allowed to click pic that too with your phone camera only. Dslr and other cameras are not allowed.Once you enter the palace they will provide free audio guide. A mobile phone along with earphones are provided, which has recordings with the historical detail of each spot in palace in 7-8 different languages.

There is a audio guide available(mobile phone and a earphone suppliedwhich can be played at marked spots to understand the significance of that spot. The palace has many beautiful and vivid locations for capturing. There is a garden outside the palace through which you can roam around and click pictures. Overall the ticket price is really high it can be reduced a bit otherwise its a beautiful place to spend a day.
A place of history, magnificence, splendour, ambiance. Its well connected with road, there is parking facility available. Tickets for entry. One can see vintage paintings, antiques, relieve the history. The moment of time just stops over there. A beautiful garden adds up to the vibes. The insides are just as awesome. I love to visit this place and recommend everyone to pay a visit at least once.
Nice place to visit with family. People who has interest in history will have a good time here. The place is well maintained and there is enough parking space. The price of ticket is 240 per person and free for kids below 10 years of age. The ticket price is little expensive for the views which we get inside. It might take hardly 30-45 min to see the entire palace. Photography is restricted inside the palace, but that doesnt stop people from taking pictures and there is no strict way to control it also. There is a small garden outside the palace where people can sit and relax.
Ticket seemed very costly. Palace is full of photo frames. Can click good pictures at the exit of palace. Beautiful green garden with flowers is present. Ambience is very good and neatly maintained.
Timings: 10 am to 5.30 pmEntry fee: 230/- for Indians,460/- for foreigner .Dress code: Nil .Photography is allowed , But fee is high. This palace is famous for its architecture and you can enter the palace only buying tickets 🎫.
The ticket price is ₹250 for Indian national. You can get audio device guide for free after entry from counter, which is available in many languages. Palace looks good from outside but inside there are pictures and paintings only and some stuff which is also not that old. You can visit this with your friends on weekends, when its moderately crowded. And if you want click pictures which is by the way not allowed inside premise.
Place is good, not a very huge palace tho. but the management and maintenance workers are very rude. They know very well how to loot people. They also charge comparatively huge amount than any other palace would have charged for something more better.
From outside it looks great but nothing much to see inside, except thousands of pictures of the kings. This palace is maintained by a private company, things to keep in mind before visiting this1. They charge a whopping 240rs per person for entry2. They don’t accept upi payments3 . You have to pledge your original id proof to get an audio guide ( smartphone with an earphone that explains what you’re looking at )4. Luckily parking is free and so it’s not maintained5. It hardly takes 30 minutes because most part of the palace is sealed from visitors
The palace is a good place to visit, no doubt about that. The entry fee is not reasonable. U pay an entry fee, but you cant take photos inside. Guards come and scold u for taking photos. U can take an audio tour and stand near the spots marked by them and listen to the speciality of photos, decoration and many more things hung in the wall. Audio is available in many languages. It was crowded even at 3 pm. Outside the palace you can take nice photos near the windows and doors. Autos and cabs are available outside the palace. The garden is maintained outside the palace, where you can sit and relax. Monday is a holiday and everyday is open from 10 to 5.30. To get an audio tour, u have to submit one ID card which will be returned after returning the audio device. If the id card is not there, you can pay 2000rs and take a tour and it will be returned later.
One of the most luxurious destination for big fat weddings. Known for its beautiful huge lounge and party area ,which can accommodate more than 6000 or more at one go. Multiple gates are there but normally gate now is being used for the events, situated in vasanth nagar. You take diversion from cantonment railway station for Bangalore palace. Within 2.5 kilometer MG Road metro station makes it a comfortable rode from center of the city. Exterior environment is green and the palace itself tells its majestic story even today.
Lovely place to spend your weekend with family. A lot to learn about history and the royal family. The maintenance of the palace can be much better with the amount they charge and the crowd it attracts.
Palace is closed on Mondays.Went on a Friday morning. Got tickets to enter per person and for mobile camera. There are free mobile devices with earphones that provide detailed audio information about 21 sections of the palace. **Please check they are fully charged when you take them.**A great place to spend time if you enjoy history, architecture and art.Have a good meal first and then head there. For animal lovers: There are a few stuffed elephant parts on display. Beginning with an elephant head at the entrance.
Bangalore palace is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangalore. It is one that is often missed by people like me who think that it is just a palace like any other palace. It is not a place that comes up in the must visit places list suggested by friends. But this is a place worth visiting. The parking is free but entry costs around Rs. 250 per adult and another amount for taking in cameras. At first, I felt that the ticket was at a higher end, but they provided us with an audio guide (in multiple languagesthrough mobile phones. This is a never miss opportunity that all should make use of as it reveals the interesting history behind the various artefacts and articles inside the palace and unveils the history through sound. Do visit here, if you are planning to go around and see places in Bangalore. It was so crowded.
Nice place to visit. On weekends crowd will be more and waiting period will be 40 minutes to one hour. The entry fees will be Rs 240 per person plus for taking photos on mobile phone additionally we need to pay Rs 300. History lovers like this place. Lot of Photographs and painting are there.
This palace brings nostaligic feeling by being in it. Sculptures, pillars, steps their lighting its a filmy thing. It gives a proper mood of visiting a feel good place. Ive been inside around 4 hrs which I didnt felt at all. Best place to visit on weekends.
Small and pretty palace in the middle of Bangalore City. Absolutely worth a half day visit.Entrance fees 240rs/person, free for kids under 10 years.Free audio guide in multiple languages is available inside, with a refundable deposit of Rs.2000 and display of a valid id card, though we werent changed the refundable deposit as there was a lot of crowd the day we visited the palace.Audio guide is super usefull to know the history and description of the various rooms of the palace. Also, there is a mobile photography charge of rs 300, but no one really bothers to check inside whether you have paid this extra charge or not.Free parking and a small cafeteria serving basic tea, etc available within palace grounds. We are allowed to carry outside water and food inside the palace.
This place is wonderful for the one who loves historical stuffs and and things and it was a nice experience. As far as Im concerned the prices were a little bit high. The Price for entry is 250 and to carry our phone we need pay 300 extra. And the good part is there are free audio guides available in lot of language so we can understand the history behind every thing in there.
Beautiful picturesque place. A must visit place for history lovers and people who love ancient paintings. The palace is well maintained and the architecture and design blows your mind. The place is good and we can learn a lot about the history. But more than a palace I felt it to be a small castle as the appearance also says the same. A simple palace that says a lot about the Bangalore history. Also make sure that you carry cash or card with you if you planing to visit the place as they don’t accept UPI payments at the counter.
It’s a beautiful monument but I must say for the price they charge the upkeep is pretty poor there several places that the paintings and artefacts are damaged due to poor handling by the public and there is no attempt to protect it. The audio guide is great but no hygiene is being maintained as the ear plugs are transferred from one person to the other. The collection is very impressive.
Its a beautiful place. Tickets cost around 250 rs per person if you are Indian and varies for Foreigners. Also there is an additional cost if you want to click pictures and the amount depends on whether you are using your phone or any professional camera, etc. The place is beautiful inside and out as you can see in the pictures. There is a huge garden infront of the palace where you can spend time with family or even have a walk around it. The palace has so much history and a lot of photographs of the people. Also, it has a lot of places as backgrounds to click beautiful pictures of yourself. 😅
Nice place to visit, but the entry fee to this palace is high. 240 plus 300 for mobile camera. But the interesting thing is you cant take videos using mobile, they allow us to take photos. If you take videos, officials come and restrict the use of phone.

A nice visit, but not much to see… many things weren’t accessible, but very fascinating to see. You get to go to the entrance at the end of the tour, with the creepers and garden on the fort. you get an audio guide in the beginning so you can plug in your language and listen along the way while pressing the number on the artefacts that you’re interested in. you have to pay extra to take pictures inside. ₹200 for Indians and ₹400 for foreigners. If you are very curious in Bengaluru History, then it will be good for you.Nice Place to pass your time.
If you are not a good fan of history its not worth it because entry tickets cost Rs 240 and for taking photos you have to pay Rs300 extra which means 540 🥲, Inside you can see some old photographs and structure of the building thats it. If you can pay an extra Rs2000 you will get an audio box So that you can understand with your own language. When you exit you will get a refund for that.Tip - If you dont want to see inside the palace you can spend outside without any charges. Can enjoy the outside palace view and gardens. I visited on Wednesday there is no Q there. For me I felt it was over priced because compared to other palace.
The Palace is modeled like a castle from Europe - the interiors arent as magnificent as the Palace in Mysore or the other palaces in Rajasthan. However, the nice large open space with lots of trees in the middle of the city make it worth a visit.P.s: The Palace has an extended new wing probably to host weddings/events that looks like a metal monstrosity in the otherwise beautiful setup.
Such a lovely place to visit!!! Specially if youre someone keen about history this palace and the stories about the vadiyars ( kingsof this palace are really going to catch your attention! My take on this palace is its definitely worth visiting and one would definitely love the art work there and the interiors are simple and beautiful!!
The rating 3 I gave because of the picture perfect interior and architecture. Otherwise the entry fee is quite high and unnecessary. They also take extra money for mobile camera and other type of camera. You do have a big ground and park to spend a day with family and friends. Inside Bangalore if you want to explore a place then this can be a one time option.
Palace is old and well maintained. The entrance ticket is a bit costly as it is privately owned.Avoid going on Sunday, it will be really crowded. They will provide you with an audio pod with ear phones. This will guide you through the place. You can collect it at the entrance desk.
A little gem of Bangalore, a little collection of crafts was found but many photographs were found each photo hold some good memories in there, I am so impressed with the photographs, and there is nothing much to say entry rate is very high and additional charges are there to take mobile photographs. The palace looks big but a little bit is opened to the public to see and explore. You will get a audio phone to hear the history of this places with many languages supported.
Absolute beauty! Marvelous architecture TBH, built in Tudor Revival Architectural form, this palace is a treat to your eyes! Id highly recommend everyone to buy a camera pass at the entrance as youll regret for not getting one later on
A must visit place for history lovers and people who love ancient paintings. The palace is well maintained and the architecture and design blows your mind. Would suggest people to visit it during weekdays as weekend time its a total rush and you may not be able to peacefully enjoy the tour.
