Phet Kasem Rd, Khuekkhak, Takua Pa District, Phang-nga 82220, Thailand, Phangnga
Year-round open-air tourist marketplace hosting vendors of local handicrafts & street foods.
Just a place to visit Bang Niang near Khao Lak Thailand to see fake brand label clothes and electronic goods . Street food and bars to visit in the afternoon on Mondays , Thursdays and Saturdays .
Lively night market with nice Shops! Do not forget to Visitenkarte Mr. Chay Bar for some nice cocktails after shopping!
This markets is made for foreigners which is ideal if its your first time in Thailand. Theres not a lot of unique shops here which sucks but the food here was goooood and also 60baht mojitos, who can complain about that.
T-shirts, trinkets and street food. Be prepared to barter hard. Amazon is often cheaper 😀
3/5 for the market , as everyone says usual T shirts and the like. But stop off at the food stalls ,the Pad Thai guy prepares and cooks it all in front of you and is possibly the best street food in kao lak. A must.
The night market has a few good food stalls at either end, but most of the middle stalls are the exact same mix of tourist tat as the next.
A night market that is a little too touristy for my taste. You can buy a lot of thing. Not all of them are quite original but there are a few shops that sell more unique things. You can get food and drinks. The price is reasonable. With the taxi service it is very easy to get back to your hotel.
Starts from 16:00 till late. You will need good shoes which you dont mind Messing up. Good street food. Friendly people a lovely evening out
After having visited some of the night markets in Phuket previously (Naka & ChillvaI was looking forward to going to this market but honestly I was really disappointed. Lots of tourist stalls selling very similar things and sadly we didnt stay very long. If buying fake bb guns and knock-off t-shirts is your thing youll love it. We didnt stay for food as there was so much of it already cooked and out on display (for who knows how long), that we gave up and went back to the main street for some food instead.Hopefully when the tourists flood back to Khao Lak the market will improve....
Not a lot to get excited about, not all stores open and really only for the non informed tourist.
We really enjoyed ourselves here. Lots of stalls and finish off the evening at one of the many dining establishments. Definitely go on Saturday - really great atmosphere.
Ive been to a lot of night markets and this one is pretty poor. Limited food variety, overpriced, and not that pretty. The only redeeming feature is that the locals are friendly to tourists. Do yourself a favour and head to one of the Thai eateries on the main road instead.
A nice market with some place to sit and get drinks and wonderfull food to a good price. But thats pretty much it for me. I learned that the people having market places in all thailand do NOT have a sense of supply, demand and market shares. Because they all sell the same stuff. And i mean exactly the same.If you read this as a market seller in thailand. Trust me, 1: sell something that only you sell in the market. Not the same hats, t-shirts and tree elephants as everybody else. 2: do NOT push a tourist to come in, "have a look" and buy. Most cultures you will just scare away being uncomfortable.
Good market for clothes, food and souvenirs. A lot of choice, reasonable prices. Great atmosphere.
Really enjoyed spending time here , also worth checking out the road to the left for food and drinksJust a word of warning though - my daughter got a portion of fries and fried shrimp off one of the street food stores on the market - she was ill a few hours afterwards -We did however eat from the “pad Thai” man on the corner and that was nice - difference being this was freshly cooked
Didnt even take photo. Just another tourist trap but its better than nothing to do right here in Khao Lak. I think one of the main attractions here must be the friends insects and the airsoft gun.
A lot of fun in the middle of nowhere 😍❤️ the staff is very friendly, lovely and helpful. The view is just perfect. There are shuttles to the city center few times a day. Perfect place for families and romantic as well for couples 😍 the breakfasts are surprising. highly recommended 🌺
Really good market. We came from Patong and needed extra clothes and bits and they had everything here at good prices. Food was good too.
Great market - getting back on its feet after covid. Nearly all stores open already, I only counted 2 closed. Great market for street food, cheap drinks and lots of tourist shopping
FANTASTIC place to go in the evening for everything you need. There is a bar near the back where you can get l8ve music and a great cocktail called Mr Chay Bar, its a must go!! The owner is very funny and so accommodating!! 5 star place!!
Typical street food catered to western tastes. With a price to match. So much better food elsewhere do a bit of research. But that said if you want to pick up a souvenir then this is the place to do it
Visited 3 times during our stay, only open Monday, Weds and Friday from 3pm. As with markets, there are some bargains but only if haggle fiercely, otherwise some items are sold cheaper in shops or malls in Phuket.
Not Affordable prices. Too expensive. For example i bought some seeds 50 baht in here, but i founded same seeds in fresh market 15 baht although i was requesting to bargain. they have inflated the prices
This is the place for shopping and eating. The food is excellent and cheap. Can buy cold beer out of ice bucket at end of markets. Good bargains in market stores.
Best market in Khao Lak. Mostly clothing and souvenirs, but has a decent food section at the end. I had the best mango with sticky rice Ive ever tried in Thailand!
Worth a visit. Not a huge market. But as per usual be prepared for bartering as post covid the stallholders prices are bigger than Boris Johnstons Pinocchio nose. 🙄There is food there but not lots of stalls.
Its a large market, mainly clothes and holiday souvenirs. There are many food stalls and mohito stalls (60 bahts for a mohito!)The main downside is that all the stalls sell the same clothes and souvenirs
A nice albeit tourist oriented market. Youll find a lot of cheap clothes, knock-offs and plastic toys here but also some local craft. The food is perhaps the highlight of the market with a wide variety of foods to chose from. The market doesnt open until late afternoon. The occasional shower can be waited out with a cold drink. Expect a lot of haggling. At the time of this review the market is still recovering from the pandemic and perhaps 1/3 of the stalls are still closed but it is still a good sized market.
Good market with all the usual souvineirs and clothes at reasonable prices.Good cheap food
Very quiet due to lack of tourist. The pancake is not too bad. Also if buying souvenirs, do remember to negotiate the price. They tend to quote high.
Small market with the typical clothes, shoes, souvenirs and food stalls. They seem to be selling the old stuff which has been available since years. The new styles that have been recently produced are available in the Phuket Patong area. Nonetheless an ok choice if one wants to escape from the daily routine and hotel buffet.
There arent anything much. A few shops open, It might because of Covid. However, there are bars and some souvenir shops that you may interested.
This is a great marketplace whit good food, good people and good stuff.
A very fun market with a lot of souvenir shops, although they generally have the same options. Its fun to walk around and the fruit smoothies are delicious at a good price.
Theres such a buzz here though a lot of the stalls sell the same products. The food is great here with some bars providing free WiFi. If you need a taxi to get back to your hotel, there are plenty. 300 Baht gets you back to the Marriott.
Plenty of souvenirs shop, I love here. All foods are similar in each shop. I was looking for local food which is hot an spicy dish but not found. By the way, this nice market where you should visit once.
Tourist oriented market. All food stalls sell the same food: food on skewers (shrimps, chicken, pork and potatoes). Thais dont eat at these food stalls they go to one in the left "street" with isaan food, here you can get tasty authentic food.
Great night markets in Bang Niang new Khao Lak. Just remember to take umbrellas as it can pour rain at the drop of a hat! Great restaurants and bars nearby also
Loads of shops, best place to get a variety of goods much cheaper than the local shops. Go in the late afternoon early evening when its cooler. Food is left open to all the flies, so beware if eating at the market.
Large market with plenty of food and clothes as well as accessories. Some of the stands overpriced compared to other markets, but definitely worth a visit. If you have time to have a look around you will also find the very good and still very cheap places.
We really enjoyed this market. It was quite busy around the food area but the other side lanes had plenty of room to look around. The food we bought was delicious and we even found a seat to enjoy our meal. Usually we say ho hum another market but this one was a great surprise. Of course we found something to bring home from the shops. We also found the best roasted chicken and noodles shops. Both delicious thank you :)
Shopping, food and ( bugsif thats wt u like haha, souvenirs, and lots of stuff to buy! , seafood and Thai food and sweets as well.Be aware of over priced items bargain the price. Many bars as well , good place for an evening walk .
Big local market with good street food section, well worth a visit while you are here
Product on par with any Thai street market, no real bargains but friendly non pushy stall holders very little made locally except a few soap carvers and bracelets. As always dont buy from the first place you see something get a feel for the pricing, haggle but remember its only a $ from your holiday budget and probably means a lot more to them. 60bht mohito and fried insects could both make or spoil your holidays.
Very large market in Khao Lak town good food stalls and local artifacts well worth a visit
Cool market with a lot of variation, I would mostly recommend going to the food part.It can be very hot and very damp here so just beware!Food and drinks are cheap and there is a large selection of different things to eat.
Nice mixed market (food, clothing, some electronicswith public toilet. Friendly Sellers aho are not pushing you to Buy someting. Worth to take your time during your visit.
What a lively place with food, clothing, holiday gifts etc. This was the cheapest place I found selling mojitos although they were a little light on the alcohol but none the less tasty. 😁Haggling is very important here as the price they tell you first is not the real price. You can find this stuff at these prices elsewhere but the market brings them all together in the same place which is much easier than hunting around for.
Excellent place to visit for food to eat or take away. Clothing stalls trinkets and souvenir stalls. Easily spend 2 or 3 hours here if out browsing. Well worth a visit.
Good markets, a bit cheaper than local stores on the main street. Dont forget to barter - start at least 50% to 60% below their price and you will get a good deal. Great bar at the end of the markets - can be very hot to walk around during the day, suggest you go at night. Have fun😊
