Band-e-Amir National Park in Kandahar

Band-e-Amir National park is most underrated tourist spot in the whole Asia. I dont know why the media dont show this side of Afghanistan. The lake water is so clean and blue thats looks artificial, Mountains has beautiful sculpture structure and local hospitality knows no limit. Every tourist should visit Afghanistan only for this.

Good Trip

An absolutely phenomenal place to visit. This place is spectacular and has breath taking view like Grand Canary in US. The lake itself is something unbelievable as how clear and cold the water is despite having no source and walls stand still. I always wanted to travel there but couldnt and this time had the chance. But HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A must see when in Bamyan. About 45 drive in good pavement and some dirt road to follow after the entrance gate. Very well kept. The clear water from natural spring is just so clear. Differenr shade of blue catches youe eyes thanks to its purness but also surrounding red mountains and rocks. Band e Amir is held by the giant rock cup if you like. Some men swim in the lake while others get on swan boat to cross the lake. Horse back riding too. Be ready to get wet! Water is just tempting. I dipped my legs with ling skirt as culturally accepted soaked wet but could not resist the beauty. Absolutely breath taking. Lots of food shops around too to enjoy kebabu or just a cup of tea. Summer time is ideal. I went in late August and weather was perfect for me. Band e Amir national Park has entrance fee of 3 usd for non afghan. A must!

Wide area of siting, beautiful view from upper side and much more beautiful and enjoyable when you are in the park with friends and families. Hotels and restaurants around the park are not much of a thing. But you can have great time

Nice place but not good for children and elderly people, you have to bring every single thing for cooking from Bamyan city than you have a good time there, there is nothing available.

In this season Band-e-Amer was attractive and pretty, covered with beautiful snow, it was a little cold.

It’s very beautiful place with very nice weather. The weather is bit cold you need to have worm clothes and try swimming in cold water to refresh you body 😜

WCS supports park staff and works with the local community to promote conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.Ecotourism is expected to decrease local economic dependency on the parks natural resources. Tourists visit Band-e-Amir primarily in the summer months when the weather is warm. A poor local economy and limited outside investment have hampered efforts to attract winter tourism.

One of the best Natural places in Afghanistan.The place should be visited while you are jn Afghanistan, you can driver from Bamyan province.There are cheap rest places near the Band e Amir National park.You can stay during the nights over there.The best woule be to get food or snacks from the city.There are some small souvineir shops which are run by the local people especially women, I would suggest to to buy some gifts for your close ones from there.There are rental boats which you can visit different pars of the lacks.

There are many lakes with a unique blue colour in the summer that is frozen in the winter with many waterfalls plus exceptional mountain sceneries around the lakes.There are a local market, hostels and Kayaking facilities.
