970 N Phoenix Rd #106, Medford, OR 97504, United States, Medford
Contemporary eatery with a garden patio & wide range of Pan-Asian fare & lunch specials.
My favorite place in town! The food is always amazing, great wine list, and friendly and professional service.
Busy and sophisticated, Bambu takes great care with their food and its presentation. Consistently delicious with a broad food and drink menu.
Very good food, servers were nice
We walked in to the outdoor dining and sat down, then found out the table was reserved. Our server let us stay and moved the reserved spots elsewhere. Beautiful patio. No bad table locations so it was fine and really nice of her to accommodate us.
Very unique restaurant for the valley. Great quality of food, good quantity for the price, and awesome experience. Will be back someday!
Absolutely fabulous food!🍜🥦🥢
Consistently one of the best restaurants in Medford, Ive never been disappointed with a meal here.
Really friendly and attentive staff, food was okay, and outdoor seating was comfortable and well decorated.Had the Dim Sum and Stir Fried Green Beans and it was okay... but it didnt feel like something I couldnt make at home or was presented in such a way to justify the cost. It was still pretty alright but the Asian food is Id just had in Redding recently might have set the bar high for my Medford expectations.
Best food I’ve had in a very long time. The Curry was out of this world..! Everything was absolutely fabulous, especially the service. Can’t wait to bring my husband.Kinda spendy but worth every penny.
I absolutely love this place. Great food good service. Me and my sister have made this restaurant our place to go when we want a sister time.
Just finished dinner at Bambu - very disappointed. The menu has changed, and not for the better. The service was pretty much nonexistent. It took forever to get our food. The quality of the food we recieved was disappointing. We will not return.
Super good! Pad Tai is superb! Everything on the menu is different. Good place to mix it up and try new flavors.
Perfect dinner experience! Very fast service and friendly host + server. Appetizers were the perfect portion size before the main entree. Beer was nice and cold! Thank you I will recommend to friends and family.
Food and service was excellent! This is going to be our date night spot until the end of time. I really love the mahi every time we get it and the crab cakes are outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about this place!
Excellent food and environment! Probably one of the best restaurants in Medford. I personally had the sweet and spicy tofu and also the tofu sate. However, the gave me chicken instead of tofu for the sate. Luckily I saw it before eating, but if you’re a veggie, just maybe double check if you go.Overall, very nice and I love the patio!!
Called in an order for the dim sum. Food was ready quickly. The food, however was very standard fair. $15.95 is pretty outrageous for frozen pot stickers, dumplings and pork bao from the Asian market. None of the sauces were home made either.
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Medford (if not the entire rogue valley). Theyve been in business for almost 15 years and have maintain the same standard of quality sincewhen they first opened. But seriously, I cannot recommend this place enough. Even on a Tuesday night the salmon tasted amazingly fresh, and if you have never been, you must get the tiger rolls and curry basil salmon!
We are there for my birthday, the food is always delish. The appetizers are great and so is their main dishes, the service is excellent. Can’t wait to dine there again.
You may need to wait a bit for your food here, but that gives you time to inhale the exceptional aroma. Anticipation enhances the flavor of whatever you order from their extensive menu.
Went for company Christmas party. The servers were awesome, super kind & punctual with all the courses & drinks. Food was really good, great wine. The tables were set up kind of inefficiently for our large party making it difficult to socialize, but overall it was a pleasant time.
great place, but if you think about going you have to make a re.Thai tea is not that tasty, but I bought a snack combo for $14 and it was good food and plenty. Tasty, Ill be back soon
Halibut was nice. Pad Thai no flavor. Creme brulee was overdone. Fine dining wasnt very fine. Overall the experience was average.
This is a fantastic restaurant.Every dish I have ever had here has been absolutely fantastic. It’s a very well crafted menu and the atmosphere is intimate
The soup was to thick for my liking, but Id definitely go back to try some other food they looked amazing, what I saw coming out of the kitchen. Service was awesome clean very cool vibe ....
Ordered take out. First time eating at this restaurant in the Valley. Ordered thai fried rice with chicken. Large meal, could feed 2. Few veggies. Very, very salty. Extremely salty. Almost too salty to eat.
Well executed dishes from several Asian countries. We had a dim sum plate starter followed by Shanghai spare ribs and sate chicken. All were very tasty.First time Ive been here in 10 years (I dont live in oregon.Ten years is quite an accomplishment for any restaurant. Just as good as I remembered it.
Was delighted to find this spot while in Medford one afternoon. Lunch specials were INCREDIBLE… and the service was super friendly + prompt. Looking forward to taking a more thorough tour of the menu.
My partner and I went here to give it a try. We like Asian food and always look forward to finding new restaurants in town. When we arrived we were made aware the only seating they had at the moment was outside. The patio was nice and surrounded by bamboo and other nice plants. There were space heaters because it was a little chilly. The only problem on the patio was one of the space heaters was ringing super loud and not working correctly. The waitress tried to get it to work but could not. It just so happened to be one we were sitting under. It was unpleasant but we were fine. We ordered a pad Thai and a dim sum plate. The food took a while to get out, about 30 minutes, which wouldn’t have been so bad if the heater wasn’t ringing like it was. They accidentally gave me some tiger rolls which I didn’t realize at first as I had thought it came with the dim sum. I apologized and they said it was fine they would make another. The thing that really irked me about this was another waitress came out and just threw her coworker under the bus! I know mistakes happen but out of all she told me, the only relevant part was that it wasn’t on the bill. People make mistakes, I wasn’t upset. I felt bad for the other worker. The food was okay, a little bit pricy for what was actually ordered. The sauces that came with each dish were overwhelming and didn’t really compliment the food. My partner used the sriracha-like sauce in his pad Thai. The chicken was a little over cooked in the pad Thai and it tasted more like yakisoba.
Lovely atmosphere with the fire heaters on the patio, delicious appetizers and entrées. We had spring rolls, a garlic trio of halibut, salmon and prawns, and a chicken curry, with rice and Thai tea served family style. One of Medfords best!
Incredible! Their green curry was the best I’ve ever had. We were impressed by the food quality and taste. Definitely a new favorite! No wonder they’re so popular.
Very good service, creative sauce-driven cuisine, prices actually pretty reasonable. Very good preparation, and appetizers portions are good. Staff are careful and outdoor area is nice and loaded with heaters.
The service and setting of this restaurant was lovely. The food however was completely lacking. We ordered the coconut soup which was so acidic and lime-y that it was nearly unpalatable. The noodle dish was flat and they didnt ask for a spice level. Overall the food was bland and we probably wont be back which is a real bummer since this seemed like it would have been a cute date night location.
This is an upscale oriental restaurant with a relatively smaller menu. There are enough choices however to sample a good cross section of the available types. It is not just one type of Asian food. They have some Thai, some Vietnamese, and others. The staff is very professional and pleasant and the cooks are skilled and fun to watch. The food is wonderful and presented well and they know how to run the business correctly. Make reservations because it is a popular place and they book up quickly. ENJOY!
Bambu is a favorite spot and never disappoints! The food is delicious with a unique Asian twist and no matter what your palate desires, there is something wonderful for you to experience. The atmosphere is delightful whether you choose eating inside or on their oasis of a patio. Everyone is friendly and the service is excellent! Go by for lunch, dinner, or a special celebration with family or friends. Patty
We have been going to Bambu for years and it is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is wonderful and the service is always great. However I just read that they are currently charging an additional 5% on take out orders. How disappointing! This is not the time to put additional charges on their customers. We are trying to support our restaurants by doing take out, this is not the way to say thank you. Very sad. Something to think about when things go back to normal.
This restaurant is modern Asian fusion. They serve curry and a variety of seafood, beef and chicken dishes. Great ambiance and a smaller space if you like a more intimate setting. Theres a patio with mist for warmer evenings. Great spot to eat a nice dinner.
In few words simply brilliant. The Executive Chef Adam did an amazing job with sous chefs, and crew. They were wall-to-wall busy, the entire staff was coordinated and quick to be attentive to everyone. It was impressive and the food... Oh mouth watering with their obviously well thought out menu, everything was fresh with and scrumptious tasting great. The way the flavors compliment each other it was like they were paired. I cant say thanks enough for the wonderful experience and the tantalizing tasty food. I cant wait to come back.
I wanted to love this place, but sadly I cannot. 5 star atmosphere, 1 star food.... Ive heard such great things and the restaurant is gorgeous but the food was not fresh and not great. Food was just OK... Service was excellent but the food came out so fast that it was obviously not fresh nor made to order... And the taste confirmed. Crab cakes were under cooked and smelled fishy with a touch too much breading... My husband had a sample plate of a few things which were also just OK. The best thing on the plate was the cucumber salad... Again I wanted to love this place.
My husband and I have given this place a chance three times now & tonight they struck out. Definitely not going back again. I ordered take out- was told it would take 20 minutes, I came in after 20 minutes & ended up waiting an additional 20. While waiting I got to observe how operationally inefficient this place is, making the extra 20 minute wait on my food make sense. This place is over hyped & a bit on the snooty side for the atmosphere, customer service & quality of food they have to offer. With their prices you would think they would at least offer organic produce. Nope-just overpriced, conventional & mediocre food here.
Place was awesome. My waiter was knowledgable and happy. I got the salmon special and it was was superb. Perfectly well cooked. Crispy on the outside and soft and savory on the inside. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the gentleman next to me at the bar kept complaining about the food on the menu. "This is too sweet" or "It probably doesnt have enough vinegar". Kinda ruined my meal experience. Next time Ill opt for a table.
This restaurant delivers excellence time and time again. The food is delicious and a good value, the service is amazing and the atmosphere above par. Its a great date night, celebration or quick bite. You cant go wrong here. My particular favorites include the Tiger Rolls, Lemon Grass Soup and whatever the fish special of the night is. Delicious!
Love this place. Make sure to make reservations, as the dining room is small and always busy. I had the salmon special. Flavor and presentation was great. We started with the spring rolls, and loved them. We try to make it here at least once a month.
Elegant and fun environment. Always great tasting food. In all my visits, I think there was only one dish ever ever that I just didnt care for and that was the Garlic Pork that was Chefs Special. I thought it was a bit overcooked and too heavy on the heat! But otherwise I love everything about this place. I especially give kudos to the staff. They are the most polite and professional staff around, hands down!
I’ve always had great experiences here! The patio is gorgeous (even during a thunderstorm), the food is fresh and delicious, there are plenty of vegan/veg options, and the service is outstanding!
Some of the best food Ive ever eaten in my life
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was my sister’s birthday and they let her pick a free dessert which was wonderful
Great restaurant! We got the coconut soup and salmon with red curry, flavors are amazing! Soup was thick and rich, salmon was cooked to perfection, buttery and tender. So impressed. Service was great as well, a wonderful night out all together.
Fresh, good food. Worth the trip. Smelled great walking in, contemporary decoration. The lunch is when I went. loved coconut curry chicken soup, good price. Pad Thai was good. Boyfriend didnt like the garlic chicken, its more like a BBQ. The fried crunch fish was not crunchy. Everything else was excellent and the plates that came to other people looked fabulous. I would def eat there again.
Being a vegan and traveling with carnivores I am aways looking for restaurants that offer good vegan options, not just a salad. This place was perfect and the food was excellent. We didnt know it was popular and would recommend making reservations. We went on a Thursday and arrived at 5:15pm, the place was almost full. Our hostess did arrange a table for us outside. The service was perfect. The menu clearly marks vegan options and we were told to let our server know when choosing vegan. I ate a lovely fresh vegetable tofu stir fry and it was delicious. My carnivore friends also had delicious meals. I will return if in Medford again.Visited July 2017
Ive been here twice and the service and food have been great. The patio is peaceful and relaxing and good for having a business meeting. Overall its a great place to eat in Medford. You forget about how trashy the city of Medford is with meth zombies scurrying around likes rats trying steal a bike or a baby walker to get their next fix.
