The most fresh sushi Ive had,rice wasnt hard like most places,I was very pleased with how clean the place was!

Sceptical when saw how quiet it was but really good food!!

When I travel from CT to Durban this is the only place I get my sushi from- The quality and service is outstanding . Their sushi and other meals is always a hit at my parties . So keep up the excellent quality. Sudhir you have an excellent place and it shows alo in your staff.

We have had their food a few times. They are very mindful of us being vegetarian, thus we ask them to customize our orders. They take pride in doing their work. I am a satisfied customer, thus we usually like their wholesome food.

It was fairly quiet when we visited due to the time of day which allowed us to really get a feel for how the restaurant really operates. Apart from the waiters playing "soccer" with what seemed to be a peach in the kitchen in full view of patrons, the food was really good and the sushi even better. Will most probably come back for more with friends as it is decently priced and well prepared.

This was our first expereince here and we enjoyed the really fresh, great tasting sushi! Service was prompt and friendly too. Overall a great experience and we will order again in future. The only small suggestion is to drop the half price sushi marketing - everyone knows the half price advertised is just the going price you will find everywhere.

Oh wow! The sushi here is just incredible! We didnt have to wait long for our food to arrive. Service was great. The menu book was a delight, super easy to choose and decide what you want - each different sushi had a picture to accompany it (so if youre a newbie out there and havent got all the different sushi names down yet, this makes it so simple!)

It was a case of my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Ordered the seafood platter for 2 and over did it...Bamboo Sushi Lounge has a wonderful selection of fish on their main menu. Their portions are large, good for when youre really hungry. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Very good sushi with a good selection of Slanghoek wine to pair with.The ratios are generous. The flavour of the Mayo the best Ive had so far with the Calamari being crispy and no excess oil.

The restaurant itself was small and the seating arrangements unusual but the sushi is pretty good. The food was prepared very quickly and was good.

Food was okay. Nothing like nuris in Cape Town. Their half price offering really sounds attractive ( pay half price everyday, but so is their portion size (very small indeed).

Their portion sizes are a little small on the 1/2 price promotion but its good sushi over all

I am very surprised by bamboo sushi lounge. It does not look like much from the outside but inside you will find a delicious sushi restaurant. My friends and I had their all you can eat buffet which was great. We ate ourselves sick full of sushi. We also got spring rolls, tempura crab stick and dessert, all included in the buffet. This is by no means a cheap excursion as the buffet is expensive at R250 per person however it was really great. They have a fantastic selection of freshly made sushi on the menu and on the conveyer belt. They also have a selection of wok dishes which I personally did not have so I cannot say much about. I did however see other patrons order these items and they looked wonderful.All in all we had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The service was great too! It was expensive though and so I cannot give 5 stars as I have had sushi buffets at lower prices.

Honestly Im only rating this place a 3 star is because I love tuna sashimi, so I ordered it and its sad to say that it really wasnt fresh. Other than that, Id still recommend eating there, the place is clean and tidy, very Japanese esc, and the salmon sushi is tasty. Enjoy!

Great place. Intimate vibe. They have a great ladies night special on Thursdays for R175 per person including a bottle of wine for a group of 4. All you can eat sushi. Must do when in Umhlanga /La Lucia

Lovely, clean and good quality ingredients make this an ideal restaurant to get your sushi fix on. Half price sushi most days and R250 gets you "all you can eat" from the roundabout. The staff are friendly and the sushi is perfectly acceptable. I have had better but for the price point it dosnt disappoint. Would like to see low sodium soy sauce on the tables though and not only the usual high sodium. Expect to pay around +-R150pp for a good amount of susi (after the 50% off regular priceexcluding drinks. In my opinion its best to opt out of the "all you can eat" option and just select from the menu. I can eat alot of sushi in a sitting and the sushi i selected from the menu was more than enough and still came to a good R100 less than the buffet option. All and all it was a lovely experience and i will be coming back. Well done to the staff for making our evening enjoyable.

An assuming storefront off the road led us into a charming little restaurant. While the service was friendly and efficient, the food was a mixed bag.. we had the calamari to start and while it was delicious and crispy, the portion felt just a shy too small for the price.For the main course, I had the chilli bean chicken while my friend tried their sweet and sour prawn stir fry.. his prawns were cooked perfectly with a great sauce, but my chicken was a little overdone... the sauce was pleasant, but nothing exciting.Dessert was disappointing, as the deep fried ice cream lacked the crispy texture one would expect from a deep fry. It was a sad way to end a meal.I have no doubt their sushi is great as the conveyor we sat next too looked amazing... but as for the food we tried, the best way to sum it up would he satisfactory.Hopefully the sushi will be a better experience.

Amazing atmosphere, the sushi is very good, and you can see whoever prepares it knows exactly what they doing, they do have a turn table sushi bar as well. The prices are a bit more expensive than most places but you are definitely getting what you pay for.
