Rude workers, gave me food I was allergic to after specifying it on my take out and they still fought with me and told me I was wrong

The teen who took our order was condescending and rude. Received the same attitude from an older woman upon pick up, food was mediocre and bland. Save your money or eat elsewhere.

Love the delivery service, very fast and good rate, make sure to tip the nice Asian boy.

Was a pretty poor experience here, told to grab a menu (which btw was dirtyand sit wherever, no not there um ok u said go sit down, asked what they had to drink, you order food first, so i do polietly, food was mostly ok, ss pork was to crunchy/dry, i accidently dropped my fork, couldnt get a new one because wait staff stayed in kitchen whole time, so i got up and hollered 🙈 im done.

Very poor service from the beginning, server clearly could care less and was under no pressure as we were the only ones there at first.Started out having to yell out hello then she just waved us in and wandered off . Basically just dropped paper menus on table. My order was wrong and she argued with me saying it was my mistake and when I politely pointed out on the menu that I was right she shrugged and said I dont know talk to my boss.I ended up switching out my chicken chowmein for the pork chow mein with my brother in law beside me as I dont eat chicken. We asked for the bill and waited over 10 minutes then just went up to desk to pay where she walked over when she saw us. Food was okay. Wont be back...

Beef & Tomato Fried Rice was always one of my favourite Chinese dishes to have however what I got was very disappointing. The fried rice was more like steamed rice and as for the overall taste - well, Im very glad to have been able to cover it up with plenty soy sauce. ☹️

Order Pho on DoorDash from Pho Asian Cuisine. Unfortunately they missed many ingredients, and the effort just wasn’t there.

Honestly I probably wont be back. The food had basically no flavor. The worst part though, was the sweet and sour sauce I asked for on the side instead of on the pork. I got one tiny plastic cup for each combination (and both lids looked absolutely destroyed so they werent on properly), one was only half full and the other only a quarter full. And both of them looked disgusting so we didnt even use them. It almost looked like someone spat in them and there was other food fragments in both. Even if they looked normal, there sure wouldnt have been enough to cover all of the pork. Really disappointing because this restaurant used to be good. I saw some recent bad reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, because it hadnt been bad before. This definitely ruined it for me. Do yourself a favor and take the drive to the Driftwood instead!!

My partner and I went for the "new & improved " buffet. The service was terrible, there were only 6 patrons in the restaurant upon arrival. They didnt keep the food stocked properly and 2 of the dishes tasted off and over cooked. Upon leaving our bill came to over $50. Turns out they jacked their price from $16 to $24.99 with no signage indicating such.Horrible service, horrible food and atrocious price.

We ordered takeout on a whim and were pleasantly surprised as everything was great! We had a guest with a nut allergy; they accomdated us and so far, our guest is doing just fine lol! Definitely a good way to feed a small group in a pinch. Will be calling again. 👍😁

Im not sure what happened but I did give this place a 5 Star rating before but I have to edit this. We had some really great food at this place but something has gone wrong here. The last 2 delivery orders were mixed up and the food was sub par. We decided to go into the empty restaurant on this past Monday for lunch and that will be the last time for us. Horrible service along with terrible tasteless food. We were the only people in there and still couldnt get decent service. Were done.

Four of us went for supper here last night, every dish we ordered was very tasty, not greasy . I would recommend the Bamboo Inn ! We will be back !

Take out. Their ginger beef is crispy but also in sauce. Wow. Id say this alone is worth going again. Im wishing I ordered veggies too. Well done.

We have not eaten here before. Very good food . Very clean restaurant , bathrooms clean , comfortable atmosphere. Only thing is I wish they played Asian music.

I ordered the lemon chicken and Shanghai thick noodle for delivery. Quality of food was excellent, portions were very generous and service was amazing. Thank you Bamboo Inn.

Ordered my food delivered , gave the guy a tip and paid extra for delivery . Received my dinner and the soups we paid over 30.00 for tipped over in the bag and spilt out in the bag . What a waste of money . Next time I’ll pick it up .

Stay away. The place is horrible: food tastes disgusting despite being very pricey and the staff is rude. We went there because we had no other choice during Christmas holidays and, oh boy, how we regretted. The server told me to read menu when I asked what had been the difference between two options of pho. We ordered two bowls... The beef in the soup was of very low quality. Not even sure it was beef... The broth was bad, the meatballs... no comments. I left mine untouched cause I was too disgusted. Really bad experience. Having lived in Asia for a long time I can reassure you that even in the cheapest hawker center you would not find such disgusting bowl of pho let alone in a restaurant. Very disappointing.

Ordered green Thai curry received a jelly form of hot and sour soup, the salt content was threw the roof. Very pricy for what is it.

My dinner for 1 was terrible. No flavor the sweet sour pork was so chewy I couldnt eat it . I also had deep fried prawns that were over cooked and chewy. The almond Chicken was ok but they gave me so little gravy for the chicken maybe the size of a quarter. The chowmein was tasteless. Ill never eat there again.

Ordered delivery, it came in a very reasonable time, food was delicious, good portions, 5 out of 5 would order from here again.

This place has changed hands and it is AMAZING! If you are looking for excellent Asian cuisine try here. Yes, they offer western Chinese food but they shine in the more authentic dishes and have the best pho broth Ive had in a long time. It is very quiet. (I imagine because the old experience was rather underwhelmingDont let that fool you. This is a treasure. A diamond in the rough just waiting to be discovered!

Well if you dont mind paying for food you never received in your Skip order this is the restaurant for you! I was missing half of my food order & they refused to give me any sort of a refund on a food bill of $60.00. I order a 4 item combo, only got two items ,of which only one was something I had ordered. Absolute garbage! I will never order from here again due to their total lack of customer service while still pocketing all the money.

My heart was bleeding a bit when I saw the authentic menu: it looks soooo good but because Im pregnant, I knew the spicy food would give me a terrible heartburn (I studied Chinese and lived in China for a year and I would kill for some of the things on this menu). So I went for the more North American Chinese options which are normally not my favorite, and was not disappointed at all!!! Great taste, generous amount and I loved the fact I could order a single person portion while my husband picked up Wendys for himself. Counting the days until I can come back for the real deal!!! You have a fan!

Absolutely delighted by our visit. The food was very authentic and delicious and very generous portions. Peter the owner and chef came out to say hello and ask how our meal was. A kind sweet man with an amazing story. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!!

Ive eaten take-out from here on numerous occasions. Great everything except their deep fry... The one time I ordered their chicken wings and rib bites, I did not like them. Big batter and old oil with no real seasonings or spices in the meats. Best Special Fried Rice on the planet though...

Good service food tastes great and the restaurant is clean. Glad to see they are keeping up with covid restrictions. Alot better then other Chinese food take outs around the valley.

Hands down the best Chinese cuisine in the valley right now. New owners, hot fresh delivery and huge improvement in quality and taste. Kids had traditional North American style Chinese food, 3 items on chow mein and not at all greasy or too wet like many places. Veggies crisp, sauces light and flavourful , the expanded and new menu is full of regional cuisines and Vietnamese dishes. So happy not to have to go into Courtenay anymore!! Please do check them out, and if you pick up over $30, its 10% off.

We drove about an hour to Comox to view the storm at Goose Spit stopping for a quick lunch at the Bamboo Inn. We had heard it was good and were pleased that we did. It was quiet as the weather was terrible and we were seated and served by the owner. Ginger beef was excellent, Chow Fun very good ! We will go back and if this restaurant was in our town we would be regulars. We wish you success in your business Peter, thank you , see you again soon.

New owners. Amazing chop suey, fresh, tasty lots of veggies. No MSG. And they gave us their new Asian Cuisine menu that has Pho, Thai. Looks yummy and a welcome addition to Comox for this. No longer have to go across pond. If you live in Comox, try them out. Can imagine not so easy starting restaurant in these times. Be good for them to focus on getting their new menu out for those of who live here for pickup.

I will give 5 stars thanks to their excellent soicy garlic wonton. Wontons were slithery but the pork was firm. broccoli with spice, excellent touch. A very simple but effective dish. I would leave a photo but I ate the food too fast.

I would say that the food hasnt changed much since the 70s when our family would come and enjoy great food with awesome service! Its one of the better Asian restaurants in the Comox Valley. Clean and nice atmosphere. Definitely go again!

I had 1 item combo with bbq pork fried rice and chicken balls. Hood food friendly service, good size portions.

Horrible food. Sweet and sour pork was soggy with hardly any sauce on it. Lemon chicken was greasy. Chow mein tasted like salt. And they screwed up my order, sent me chicken chop suey, and the chicken was under cooked. They resent beef chop suey which was the only good thing of the order and extra sweet and sour sauce, but required me to give the other back. And complained to me i used skip the dishes to order. All in all bad food, horrible service and it took 45 mins to get my food then another 20 to get my correction. Will NEVER order from here again. So not worth it.

Very clean, great service and very friendly. Buffet is fresh and hot throughout its service. Lots of very tasty dishes, for instance they have fresh plump juicy shrimp, flavorful meat and veggie dishes, the best wonton broth Ive tasted in a while, tasty noodles but use more of a selection. Would like to see more seafood dishes and fresh fruit options in the buffet. Some tasty options for kids and kid friendly. This was my secret place to eat and chill for a decent price. Enjoy!

I honestly feel bad giving this place a 2 star because the food was very good and so was the decor but the service was really bad. It took them LITERALLY 20 mins to take our order and 30 mins to give us our check. I’m not good at math but our total was 56.25 and we gave them a 50 and a 10 and our change would’ve 3.75 but they gave us 1 dollar... we didn’t say anything because it was only a bit of money but as a waiter they should’ve been a bit more precise cause some people might freak out..

The food is very delicious, best service and landlady is very friendly, buffet has lots of selection such as soup, fried rice, noodle, ice-cream etc. I will eat at least two times a week, eat in a comfortable environment and delivery was quickly :)

This used to be a favourite of mine in the spring for the buffet. However I came back in the fall and found the buffet to be $19 + tax. I dont remember what the price was in the spring but thought it to be substantially lower. Anyway I like their buffet but this price for a chinese buffett seems crazy to me.

Excelent! service. It s Always fresh and alwyas on time.Since I move to the valley I always enjoy to visit this place with all my family in particular with my kids whom enjoy to eat the winton soup.They have a variety of desserts 🍨 everyday.They always place the best for you.I love it 😍

The food was delicious. The children of the owner actually teenagers, were out of control missing up Table after table and acting like a bunch of little cartoon characters. Then smothering themselves with some strange smelling cream while we were eating. I would like it there and go back, if that was somehow under control too bad the food was so good! and a!

This is one of our regular spots to order Chinese food from. Never disappoints, always delicious. While it isnt the best I have ever had, it is quite good and we will certainly go back.

Excellent authentic Chinese food! We especially like the mixed meat and tofu hot pot, and the beef and flat rice noodle (chow fun chow mein. Friendly service and nice atmosphere too!

The food was okay. Is very quiet while I was there. I was the only customer in the place. It was about an hour before the buffet. Food was average, portions are decent. The restaurant was very clean and tidy.

Ordered the dinner for six and it was fast, hot and delicious. It was more like a dinner for 10 we had so much food. The staff was courteous and quick to help when I went to pick up the order. Were from the mainland and have tried many authentic Chinese restaurants. I would put this one up against the best of them.

Ordered Take-out got all the way home & they Never gave us Sweet & Sour Sauce for our Chicken Balls. Very dry as was the Chicken Chow Mein & Szechuan Beef was mostly vegetables with little beef. All in all it was disappointing.

Authentic Chinese food and excellent service. The restaurant must have new management and new cooks, so all previous record are irrelevant now. I think the price is really fair and the quantity per dish is very generous. BTW, I should mention there is even karaoke available!
