A 5-minute walk from the nearest beach, this relaxed hotel is 3 km from Bijilo Forest Park, and 7 km from the Kachikally Crocodile Pool & Museum.Warm rooms include rattan and wood furnishings, and flat-screen TVs; some provide free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms feature sitting areas. Apartments add living rooms and kitchens.A breakfast buffet is complimentary. Other amenities include an international restaurant, an open-air bar next to an outdoor pool, and regular cultural entertainment performances.
Good value for the money, the employees are all very friendly and welcomingThe breakfast choices are limited but goodThe wifi sometimes comes and goes but overall good speedOne recommendation: Bring Euros to pay because if you pay in their currency they will charge you the hotel exchange rate which is well above regular exchange rates
This place is so nice. Close to the beach, restaurants and clubs but still quiet, very good staff, wifi, hot water, pool, food. I had perfect time there during my one week stay
Bamboo garden hotel is definately my favorite hotel in the Gambia. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortabel. And the shower is nice. Breakfast is included and taste good. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly :)
Awesome place to dine & wine ;)Bar is Super Cool...... Cheerios
Great staying at Bamboo Garden Hotel. Simple, clean, great staff and nice environment for relaxation and work
Lovely place, you can hear the cool sea breeze, well kept lawn and fountains with peackocks, ducks and pelicans. Friendly staff also
Burger was moldy, and squished. Great staff connection but food gave us a bug or something, which we need to go and get treatment as a result. Nausea, stomach craps, swollen kidneys... watchout for uncooked food, could have been contaminated, like salad with meals.
Expect to have trouble with additional fees not specified before booking and hotel description not matching reality. Wifi works sometimes.
Its a nice and easy going hotel. Friendly staff and clean room.
Good location. Extremely nice staff. Close to alternative dining options. Beers and food tends to be a little more expensive than surrounding establishments but still resonable. You should enjoy your time at the Bamboo if you go with the flow and remember you are in Africa.
Its a good place to stay near around the beach. but please check the website through which you are booking about the amenities. Sometimes we check through different website and book through different website. It may cause you to pay additional money for ac, refrigerator etc... Though the place is good and having beautiful ambience.
Brilliant sums up the location the staff from the grounds man to the manager all are wonderfull and friendly . The food is just about as good as you can get, just excellent. The one downside keep away from the taxi rank opposite, nothing to do with the hotel , the drivers are crooks keep well away, walk to the top of the road local taxi a third of the price. Enjoy the Gambia experience.
Name of this hotel is Djeliba hotel. Quite close to Banjul International airport. Serene environment, pool, complimentary breakfast and Wifi, close to the beach. Moderate prices and value for money...Nice place to stay
Clean rooms, very nice, friendly personnel, good location- 300meters to the ocean. Good breakfast, nice restaurant, we want to go back there.
Budget hotel, with pretty pool area. Very friendly staff. It’s a bit run down in places. We had three adults in one room, which was cramped, but it would be plenty of room for a couple. Bring nets! (Few mosquitoes in the dry season though). Air con (probably not needed in the dry seasonand safe deposit is extra. Pool is cold. Noisy club near by.Breakfast is basic, but you can get freshly cooked eggs. They have some hot places that typically have nebe (Gambian beans), pasta and frankfurter type things, bakes beans. The have a couple of fruits and sometimes pancakes. Drinks include tea/coffee and a couple of local juices.Prices of lunches range from 150-300D and 250-600D for dinner. 70D for a pint of Julbrew. This is relatively standard for Senegambia, perhaps on the cheaper side.A good budget option, but don’t expect the same standards as a European budget holiday.
