Food was alright, not as spectacular as we have heard. The service was much the same.

When we arrived, the waitress and the cook were sitting outside the door smoking. Very bad impression and weak leadership. The starter Satay Chicken. The meat was dry and boring. When it came to the table it was not hot. Ordered plain white rice. The rice was not hot. Got a little upset and asked for new rice. Wrong storage dish. No more hot plates. The food gets cold quickly. Ordered two small beers and these were not served. We didnt eat dessert or drink coffee. Just wanted to leave the place as soon as possible. This is the second time I have been dissatisfied. It will not happen again. Will not go there again.

Not surprised regarding the price -very cheap- but really, it might be the worst Asian food I’ve ever seen. Don’t order the spring rolls, it looks like a paste furnished with ONLY onions, absolutely not spring rolls that you know. Then, the waiter told me the beef with curry sauce is composed with green curry, it was absolutely not.I am not used to share bad reviews, sorry for the restaurant but if you like true asian tasty food, move along. Beside, the sangria was the best one I’ve tried out in Algarve.

Ordered a meal and a soup, they bring the soup and after an hour I asked them about the meal, they forgot about it and told me that kitchen is already closed. Very bad service.

I wasn’t expecting anything special, or really authentic. Just a standard Chinese take away, but this is the worst Chinese we’ve ever had. We had the sweet and sour chicken and the sizzling prawns and both were really bad, totally tasteless. Staff were nice but the food was unbelievably disappointing.

Lovely place and very efficient staff. We had the set menu for 4 which was Very good and filling.. Highly recommended

I don’t write reviews normally but the food ordered tonight was no where near what other reviews have shared. 4/5 stars?! No way!! Just ordered a takeout from here (deep fried ribs, sweet and sour chicken, aromatic duck and pancakes, egg fried rice and chipsand was really disappointed with the food. 😔 It was very bland, mushy, the shredded duck had bones all through it (never had duck with small sharp bones through it - and we were sharing it with our two year old! 😡the chips weren’t cooked and the rice wasn’t fried at all - it was boiled with a few sorry looking pieces of egg through it with some peas. I hate to say this but I haven’t had a Chinese meal this bad in a very long time 😔 what a waste of €33.

Food wasnt as taste as home in uk.not much flavour in food and battery wasnt crispy on the prawns.

Slow (though friendlyservice, food almost without flavour. Not sure how they managed it...

Good for the price. But very loud. And don’t recommend the chicken salad. It has waaay to much vinegar and onion.

Enjoyed our meal but boiled rice was a bit sticky/lumpy, eatable but fried rice would gave been a better choice. Lesson learned. Good service and value for money.

I come here every year whilst on holiday at least once. The deep fried ribs are amazing! Nice staff.

We had Chicken with ceshew. The taste was okay, but not really good. The sauce was more like thick broth. But the worst thing about it is that our tongue feels dry and like burnt even 24h after, must have been a lot glutamate in it?! Positive: Service and price

Every year I have been going to this restaurant and the quality of the food is great, this time I ordered my favourite dish, fried spicy duck with the pancakes and the plum sauce…. Love the presentation!!!! As always the owner is easy to chat too and Samuel has great costumer service…. Thank you and hopefully we will see you next years too come !!!!!

We there last night 21st May. We went as the reviews were good. In fact, one said best Chinese ever. That must have been written by the owner. The food (4 disheswere all completely tastless. They werent even drowned in salt for flavour as some low end restaurants tend to do. On the up side, they used fresh vegetables and the service was friendly.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Portimao. Love their chow mein, sweet and sour pork, chicken with vegetables, and the wonton soup. Dont expect American style portions, one order is just enough for one person, unless you order a bunch of stuff and share.

we were visiting Portimão for a few hours and decided to have dinner at this restaurant based on reviews. We had Chicken Satay as (simplestarter that was nice. Unfortunately both main dishes, pineapple chicken pan-fry and sweet and sour deep fried chicken tasted like a cheap takeaway, sauces were identical they just added pineapple. sweet & sour chicken had the worst presentation that Ive seen in my life. just balls of fried chicken on flat plate in tiny sauce with 3 pieces of onion in it.honestly i wasnt expecting something mind blowing from this place but also not such below below averages experience.anyone that knows and prefers authentic food i would advise to skip this place.

Fantastic quality food, great service at very affordable prices. So good, we came back two nights in a row.

We had a very good time here. We arrived what would be considered late hours for a lunch (around 2:30PM). The food was very good, especially the Chinese crepes and the shrimp chips, which were the best Ive had. The price was fair and the portions were goodId like to leave a special note for the waitress who served us. Incredibly helpful, and so friendly it made our lunch that much better.

We ate there twice, on both occasions the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Food was nice and tasty. However service could be better. The wait between starter and main was very long. Also we asked for the bill and waited almost 20 mins before I eventually got up to go pay at the bar.

Have visited here often as the food is delicious and staff very attentive. Newly decorated and new bright crockery. Only negative is they do not heat the plates so food goes cold quickly as the portions are quite generous.

Bit of a wait even though the place was empty. The chicken was bland and rubbery, the prawn crackers were very stale and we were interrogated by the waitress as to what was wrong with the chicken when all we wanted was the bill and to leave. Would not recommend 👎

CHICKEN. NOODLE. SOUP. You wont regret it.When we found Bamboo Garden we felt we had descended upon a secret treasure of Portimao. The server was so helpful - we werent sure what we wanted to order, and she gave us amazing recommendations. She told us that the owner of the restaurant goes to the market everyday to buy fresh produce, and everything did taste incredibly fresh with tons of veggie options. One of the many highlights of the experience was the hot towels at the end that left us feeling satisfied and renewed.AGAIN, GET THE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP (as in two total chicken noodle soups: one at the beginning of the meal and one at the end).
