The bouncers is really had very bad behaviour for outsiders. For no reasons they say please find another bar we will not allow you to come in. The bad thing was they havent said same thing to anyone else may just because we are local residents.On top of that addition of rudeness,Racism and arrogance is simply what you dont want. I hope they read this review and reshape their behavior.

Great on a Sunday, but Fridays and Saturdays are usually good too. It has 3 rooms (pop, hip hop, alternativeand sometimes collaborates with Kokomo to make a huge club night.

Went there last night after we had been for a meal and the bouncer asked us how we were and we didnt even get 2 words out before he told my boyfriend he was not getting in when all we had had was two drinks with dinner

Girls got spiked here and staff didnt care

Myself and my friend were spiked here, management responded to the situation with a very condescending email stating that we lied about the whole situation. Do not go here.

My first and last time here I was attacked after an hour of entering and the bouncers done nothing to help. They act it on the door but when it kicks off theyre nowhere to be seen

Made us queue for over 30mins just to get to the front of the line for the female bouncer to turn us all away (group of ladswith no reason, “I’m not letting you in” while we were 100% sober still. Then for her to refuse another few group of lads behind us (who we didn’t knowto not be let in, but then let’s groups of lasses in?5 mins later the female bouncer changes shift and swaps with a male bouncer but he let everybody in? Not even worth your time queuing

Again, another night club that says no to tourists.Bouncers were sound. Just telling me its the rules.Avoid if visiting.

Went last night , female bouncer instantly told us to no because it was 5 guys we had had 1Drink each. just a joke really then told other bouncers not to let us in. Find new door staff or stop judging a group of young guys wanting to have some fun .

Ok so u might think they have got a long Que outside thier club but believe me when I say that this is the most racist club I have ever been through. The female so called bouncer outside the club has total disregard for outsiders and they que outside will compel you to get in line but its not at all worth it. After standing for 1 hr in line, getting confirmation from the male bouncer, we were simply told to go somewhere else. On top of that addition of rudeness and arrogance is simply what you dont want. Female bouncer just looked at us and instantly told us to go away. Was only me and my mate waiting in the line patiently to get in and we were greeted with her being extremely aggressive and rude towards us. Would recommend finding somewhere else as it’s not worth the line and dealing with her to get into the club.

Some of the staff very rude, overpriced, not great atmosphereMale Bouncer at the front door was very courteous and professional. bar staff also quick and proficient at their jobs.However the actions of some of the staff at the end of my visit to bamboo thoroughly put me off visiting again:Trying to leave, none of the girls at the jacket collection window paying attention as they were all on their phones, female bouncer got angry cause I tried to get the jacket ticket collectors attention by shouting excuse me, so that I could be heard over the music, and threatened to have me thrown out, cause I was trying to leave. Also the bar is over priced compared other clubs

The worst nightclub I have ever been to in my life. The staff are obnoxious and rude. I paid £15.60 for two double vodkas, even though it was advertised as being 1.50 drinks. When explaining this I only got rude responses from the worker. Disgraceful, I’m never coming again and no one in their right mind would

There was an odious big Tam on the door that wouldnt let me get krunk in the swamp

Awful place. Ordered 4 Venoms and 3 of them were somehow flat, no idea how because there’s no soda or carbonated juice in them. Complained because they were flat and tasted like water, the barman poured another 3 and they were the exact same. Complained again without leaving the bar this time and was ignored for about 40 minutes. When I finally got the attention of the barman who poured my drinks both times all he did was shrug his shoulders. Continued to complain and next thing he left the bar to get a bouncer, ended up throwing the wrong person out because I had clicked on to what he was doing so took a step back from the bar. Imagine pouring bad drinks and then getting the person thrown out. Absolute shambles, will not be going back

Great club, had many good nights in here. I left my jacket in here a couple day’s ago and got it back simply and easily. Great staff, great managers and great atmosphere. Highly recommend if your looking for a good night out in Glasgow

Bouncer turned us away for no reason. We were not drunk or had even started drinking. Nor were acting disordely in anyway. When we asked him why, he couldnt give us a reason.Very dissapointed he ruined our night..

Very judgemental toxic bouncers. Sometimes they let me in and the next time they act like they never seen me before and deny the entry. They let in people they personally know. Not recommended for solo party goers. The club does not care about customer service. Should be investigated thoroughly for discrimination against customers.

I couldn’t be more annoyed, I absolutely loved bamboo, and that’s the last time I ever go! I tried to go with my boyfriend and they asked how much I had to drink and he didn’t believe me as I do not drink! At all! And he said to go else where, then called my boyfriend a skinny bast***! So bloody rude!!!

Average night club, but go on a none student night and chances are you are going to get overcharged at the door and at the bar. They have also falsely advertised closing times on several occasions.

Absolutley disgusted the way myself and 10 other people in my group were treated on saturday 4th Aug at Bamboo by one of your security guards! Utter shambles! I have reported him to the police asking them to come and check the clubs CCTV of the time we approched Bamboo, I have also asked them to look into the bouncers SIA door Licence as I feel he shouldnt be allowed one and to be treated they way we were was wrong on so many levels! Whilst we were standing awaiting entry befor being refused, three young girls came up and spoke with this particular bouncer, to which they never stepped foot into Bamboo but each of them were given a dtamp on their hand, no ID was requested and they walked away! I questioned this at the time and he said I know them personally, so you have to be known to the door men or its if your face fits!? Im absolutley disgusted! We then moved on to merchant city and got a booth in another club, which was fantastic and second to none. I will be awaiting a reply from your manager at Bamboo and iam awaiting the outcome from the police.

If you go in before 11 PM, you get in there for free. Great music. DJ plays everything you want to eventually. Not sure on drinks. It is a young atmosphere with R&B and raving music.

Its really a nice place....but only if u get an entry as the bouncers in here are serious trouble n wont grant u access until properly satisfied regarding your alchohol level and ur clothings !!

Dont waste your time trying to Go there , most probably you wont be let In and that will ruin your miid completely.

Skip this club. Bouncers are a pain, ludicrous prices to get in, drinks are far too expensive, falsely advertised drink promos and when the club shut on their website. All round bad clubbing experience

They will look for any reason to not let you officially in when your busy, even when youre on the guest list, its unfair and ruins an otherwise good night. Personally I wont be back

Got in the first time i went, standard club night. Refused entry twice after for no apparent reason, rude bouncers, lost interest ever since, better things to do for sure.

Sexiest bounce on the door refused me entry as I wanted to go in on my own as my mates were already inside he then said I was an embarrassment to be walking in on my own what a joke of a place would not ever go back there

Approached the top of the steps to be greeted by the little door man with a big chip on his shoulder who blocks my path and looks at me like Im an alien!Proceeds to question me who are you with Im alone I tell him (Wednesday night, not really a great choice of clubs so followed the crowdyou cant come in he says "whys that then?" No singles allowed? Okay whys that? Incase you drink too much and fall over!"Hmmm but I dont drink alcohol" he stands his ground and politely tells me to go on to a cocktail lounge round the corner!First visit to Glasgow 3rd refusal into a pub.. Im a 40 year old adult (smart casual, clean respectable person with a full set of white teath Ive never visited a less hospitable city ? Which is a great shame, people make the place, Im sure the neanderthal doorstaff are not representative of this otherwise great city!I didnt bother trying anywhere else!

Nothing. Possibly the worst club Ive ever been to. Ive been in clubs all over Europe and this ticks the boxes for the top 3 in the shite holes hit list. Bizarrely surly aggressive doors staff, and once youve negotiated them you then have to deal with the inept, customer unfocused bar staff, yep Ive tollerated the trauma of getting in this dive so please do the decent thing and at least look like you do want to pour me a drink. The only small chink of light in this whole sad scenario that is Bamboo the GlAsgow super club is the the shire hold will go out of business very very soon. Will I lose sleep when it dies a timely death, will I jack. For he owners of this dive I hold its death is slow and financially painfull.

Happy to take the booking for my hen party but on arrival were refused entry! Door staff were rude and arrogant felt discriminated against because we were a hen party (they knew about this when bookingand because we werent Scottish! Actually feel annoyed that I have to give it 1 star for this review it doesnt deserve even 1!

The place is just Okay. The sound system is push to its max so all youll hear is noise. However, drinks are cheap and people were nice.And for those who are talking about discrimination at the entrance, we went in this club in a huge group, and no one was from UK.

power happy doorman no customer service would advise to go anywhere but here staff knock back anyone who is not local and over the age of 25 this is really quite disgusting for 2014 but door staff feel obliged to let anyone who is local and clearly intoxicated in I for one would certainly not recommend anybody visit this venue unless they changed the staff and policy, the club should really read these reviews and sort them selves out on Trip Advisor this place scored 1 star and the comments about the venue would certainly put you off on a plus side Cova next door is a really nice and a friendly place cheap drinks and decent people so found a wee diamond in the rough and was happier spending my hard earned cash with them instead so cheers bamboo i didnt waste my time or money with you

Terrible experience ruined treat for overseas visitors.Do not book a booth at this place,I did for my friends visiting from Spain.We were all well behaved smartly dressed and most certainly sober,but when we arrived we were refused entry because one of my friends was wearing boots with dress trousers and a tailored shirt.I wish I had booked somewhere else as I was very insulted and humiliated in front of my very middle class friends.I thought Glasgow people were supposed to be friendlier than Edinburgh people.We got in a taxi and had a super night in the capital.

End result of sitting down with a drink to listen to music is not worth the arduous (look it up stafftask of appeasing door staff to do so. Especially seeing some of the clientele that had no problem gaining entry.

Arrogant staff starting at the door and all the way to the bar. Most of them seem to be dreading the fact that they are at work. Customer service is a concept unheard of. Tiny tiny floors. Music outrightly rubbish made worse by sound systems probably bought from a Flea Market. Totally Avoidable if you have some dignity and class. Rather not go out at all.
