Very relaxing, shade is available from the trees but I would suggest to take an umbrella instead. The foliage from the trees get stuck to the towels. I had to throw it out.

Surfing, snorkeling, nice sand, transparent water, coconut trees that give a nice shade, bathrooms, parking (most of the time), and all of that in a very centric location. One of my favorite beaches in the area, specially if you won’t be in Puerto Rico for too long, because of how close it is to everything. The parking can get quite busy on the weekends, so it’s always advices to arrive early. The only negative is that every day there are many guys claiming to be from this organization that helps rehab people and want to get your money. They are very insistent and sadly the police does nothing to keep them from bothering both locals and tourists. But this is something you will find in every beach near San Juan, so it is nothing particular about this one.

One of my fav beach’s in PR !! Drop dead gorgeous crystal clear water ! No riptides currents since the beach is surrounded by a big coral reef. Btw free snorkeling! There’s lots of wild fish in the shallow water 2-3 feet in that you can feed. Super safe beach & parking is only $4!! A must go !

Great snorkeling especially for young kids. Many reefs in shallow areas near the rock. We saw at least 5 different fish and many of them. The marine park behind the beach we saw three sea turtles but only one or two fish. Beach is better for snorkeling. The water is calm as the rocks break the waves. There is amazing views of the fort and cruise ships coming in.Bring your drinks and food. I did not see any to purchase.

Beautiful beach, near some nice shops and restaurants in the downtown neighborhood of Condado (San Juan). Electric scooters for easy access along beautiful beaches with palm trees and white sand, which are perfect for a tropical vacation.

This is a nice beach within the city, it has a portion where the water is calm because the waves are being blocked rocks. Also, right beside it is a surfing spot. Then, there is a field where it’s not busy and you can meditate and listen to the waves. It is a great spot for different options

Best beach in San Juan hands down. Not pool blue maybe because the sand is brown instead of white however, ultra clear calm waters loaded with beautiful palm trees. Make sure to bring snacks and $5 for entry.

Pretty dope beach with incredible views of the ocean and shade from the palm trees making it perfect for setting up beach towels and picnic area. Lovely parrots singing in the background and crashing waves makes this a soothing spot also. People play their music but just loud enough can you can hear your own if you play. There is a parking fee but it’s free if you just walk in. There are Bird scooters nearby which is a great way to scoot along the coast. It’s pretty clean here and is pretty popular by locals. I would def recommend this beach.

Clean, plenty of trash cans and porta potties since bathrooms are closed because of covid. A $5 parking fee and paved parking lot. One side has lifeguards and doesn’t allow any floaties in the water. The other side has a under water current and is swim at your own risk.

One of the best beaches here in Puerto Rico. Usually, on the northern side of the island, the sea is more tidy, and not very good for swimming. But this beach is different, because a path of circular reefs create a perfect bay, where the sea is calm, and the water is clear. When snorkeling, you can see colorful fishes hanging around you! Strongly recommended

Nice beach close to town. I guess our favorite in the San Juan area of PR.We were here on an August Friday, and it was not very busy.Good shade from coconut palms, as long as one doesnt fall on your head. Not bad though if you are fried from multiple beach days. Always seems to be a good tradewind breeze on the North coast of PR, under the palms coming off the ocean it almost seemed cool in August. This is a BYO chairs, lunch and beverages beach, no concessions available. $5 for parking. The water is not as clear as the VI, and I didnt see much of interest snorkeling but also didnt explore it as much as I could have. There is a little fort about 1/4 mile to the east that is part of the same park this beach is in, you can walk over and see it easily.

Scenic beautiful beach worth taking a look at! Spent 3 hours taking in all the views and enjoying the island breeze. If you walk over the bridge past the beach you will come across a green hill with a lot of palm trees. When you walk up that hill (or runyou can see Old San Juan and Condado. You can sit on the grass and watch the waves crashing below the rocks or you can take in the view of the beach.

Great area, $5 to park. Fun to watch the surfers and a great spot to pick sea glass and see lots of hermit crabs. Open till 930. There is an old fort there thats cool to explore and lots of spots for great photo ops. The grassy hill is a nice place to fly kites on a windy day.

This is my favorite Beach from San Juan. It has palm trees that give you shadow, the ocean is beautiful, water is always warm, sand is soft and the waves are not very big, so you can rest in the water and enjoy more.

Show up early and you basically have the beach to yourself. I went here with 15 other people to workout on the beach and run. Super beautiful sunrise and lots of snorkeling and surfing opportunities. Lots of shallow water to be aware of if riding the waves, but they makes the coral and wildlife sightings even better while snorkeling. Theres bathrooms and showers on site but they were still locked as of 7am on a weekday. And if you park there its $5 per vehicle. Very cool place.

Beautiful little beach with calm, crystal clear water and food snorkeling off to the right side by the reef. Had bathrooms and shower but no sister changing area. Helado man might be there but no water, refreshments or chairs/umbrellas available so bring your own. My favorite beach close to town. Tired are not to strong for visitors so everyone can enjoy

A perfect beach for shallow snorkeling even without equipment as abundant fish are there in knee deep water. The only downside there is nothing to eat, no snacks or restaurants. There are lifeguards at the beach though it felt like a camp beach to me. Loved it!

I love this beach. I know there are other popular beaches on the Island, but this is my favorite. Simple, parking, bathrooms, showers, & a beautiful view of San Juan. Theres a section that has no crazy waves knocking you down & thats where Ill be. Whenever I visit the Island, Escambron is my beach.❤

Love this little beach. It is great for kids, clear waters, close parking (5 dollars per car), bathrooms, showers and a little snorkable reef as well! The reef is to the left side of the beach. You can bring your own umbrellas, coolers and chairs. No pets allowed though. One of the cleanest beaches in San Juan due to stricter rules.

A beach with something for everyone. For surfers, there’s a reef break to paddle out to. Protected lagoons for swimming, decent reef for snorkeling, historic batteries from 500 years ago, and food huts that sell alcohol reasonably. This balneario (public beachhas a few dollars parking fee, or just bike here for free. (Coqui Del Mar guest house has free bikes). It’s worth checking out and walkable to Old San Juan.

Beautiful public beach, ample parking for $5, no food available as the restaurant is under renovation. Bathroom is clean but closes at 530pm. Good swimming for kids, lots of shade. Lovely views of Old San Juan, walking distance to some food like el hamburguera.

There are actually two beaches here: one that is protected by an atoll, and an adjacent beach that is open to the ocean. The beach with the atoll is sandy with rocks under the water, while tho open beach is smooth and sandy. The beach is lined with palm trees for good shade. Views of the Fort and old San Juan can be had from the west side. Parking is $5 at the lot all day. The beach is popular, so dont expect pristine sand; bottle caps and other small pieces of litter can be occasionally be found away from the water. There are bathrooms available. Saw some surfers there, but the swell looked to be far from shore.
