Ballyhoo Coffee Cafe - Cafe in Childress, United States
Passing through and stopped at this cute little coffee shop and boy am I glad I did! I ordered the sweater weather coffee and found a luscious soft T-shirt. The gift area is so wonderful to shop in. Decor makes you feel at home. The staff was so friendly and I definitely will be stopping there again!
Staff was very friendly and coffee is good. Worth a stop if you’re in town.
By far the best coffee shop I have been to in a long time. The coffee was delicious, and they had so many options. It also is a cute country store with an edgy decor.
Great coffee! love the atmosphere and energy!
We stopped here for coffee. The coffee is Superb! We had a great conversation and they told us good places to visit in town. So, after we explored their gift shop, which was full of cool stuff, we checked out the town.
Lovely place-great coffee and nice staff. Made our morning.
Absolutely lovely spot to grab some coffee, tea, or ice cream. They’re super friendly. Other items are also for sale, preserves, pickled stuff, etc. Very cute store!!!

Very good coffee. But expensive.
This was a cool little spot to stop and grab a coffee while i was passing through. The coffee was great, and I enjoyed walking around the store area while waiting for my drink.
Super friendly staff and a lovely surprise on our trip between Denver and New Orleans! Highly recommend a stop to stretch your legs and caffeinate.

We always stop on the way to or from Colorado. Best coffee bar, fantastic Christmas decor, and chic clothing. Enjoy a new outfit and a great drink.
If your driving through or want some great coffee and pastries you have to stop in. Super friendly staff and awesome little shop.
We stopped through on our way to Dallas. Such a lovely coffee shop. Great coffee, nice people and a cute store too.
Absolutely love this place!Their coffee is fantastic better tasting than Starbucks coffee to me.! The flavors of every syrup is perfect high quality! The Sara is my favorite coffee drink! Hot & cold. Hard working people.! Their shop is lovely. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram and they have amazing sales every so often on lots of items/clothing! A wonderful place to come and chill upstairs or down stairs grab a lil snack too relax or shop around. Very friendly people.
Delicious vanilla latte, adorable shop, and we could bring in our little dog. Small town Texas perfection.
great local coffee bar and shop. good choices and snack food items. pies are awesome!
Fun place for a pit stop on the long road between Ft. Worth and Amarillo. There are so many tasty drink options! I would go here over Starbucks any day.
Excellent iced latte, welcoming employees, and a cozy place to study or work. Stopped on my way to Dallas and will be back if I ever make the drive again
Absolutely love the atmosphere Im this place, the workers have always been friendly and polite. Love almost all the coffee I have had, its only almost all because of personal taste. They have something for every one.
So many amazing coffees, goodies, ice cream, and lunch! Along with trendy cloths and all sorts of stuff to shop. It’s a cool place to visit
Texas friendly! Such sweet folks. Small town love. Glad we stopped early this morning.
I had got the Italian cream soda cake batter and it was not what I expected. The taste of the drink tasted watered down. I didnt really care for the drink. The whole place looked cool! Im pretty sure there are better drinks they make:)
They are very Polite and My cold coffee was 😋 Delicious. She has a lot of awesome Decorations candles and clothing awesome variety and lots of other stuff Including sandwiches ice cream and delicious sandwiches.
A wonderful coffee oasis. A must stop on your trip for a drink as well as a little shopping. Excellent coffee, smoothies, pastries, and service. Comfortable lounge area and functional funky tables. The place has a wonderful vibe. They are definitely doing some cool things here.
Stopped here to and from Amarillo and both my coffees were great. Theyve got a huge menu to choose from with much more than just coffee. Nice spot, definitely recommend if youre passing through and need a pick-me-up.
Top notch service the staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to do anything to please you very polite ! Was just served two over the top lattes the best Ive had in a long time and coming from Seattle where coffee rules its saying a lot ! Dont pass up this place if you get a chance to stop shopping experience as well very nice get your coffee or latte browse the shop and make it a wonderful experience we did thanks again well see you on the return trip !
Nice little place on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere! We ordered our drinks with half the amount of syrup they normally put, as we typically do to avoid a sugar bomb. Our drinks were far sweeter than a Starbucks drink even! Okay flavor otherwise, but its hard to tell with all the sugar. Gift shop was nice, picked up a couple last minute Christmas gifts.
Ballyhoo has been one of my favorite stops in Childress for a few years now. I always leave with something from their boutique and a Great coffee for the road. I love the iced Americano with vanilla and heavy cream!
We pass through Childress at least once a quarter as we travel to Colorado to see family from the Houston area. Never stopped until a few weeks ago! We will be stopping every single time from now on. Clean, great people with great coffee! Not to mention the variety of cool stuff for the house!! Thanks for the high quality of service and great products! We cant wait to see you this Christmas when we pass through! A MUST STOP!!
Very cute small business. Good coffee though was slightly slow the morning we stopped in. Pecan brownie was more cakelike in texture but did have good taste.
Amazing store, staff, food and drinks!!
Great small coffee house, on your way to Colorado from Texas. Right on 287 for a quick stop, when you just cant handle gas station coffee anymore for the rest of your trip.
We were passing through and stopped at Ballyhoo for coffee. We both ordered the Caffe A Lait. The coffee was fantastic. It had a rich robust flavor without being bitter. They had some very yummy looking desserts and it took extreme will power to not order one. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly. This is much more than just a coffee shop. There are numerous things to look at throughout the store. We will certainly visit again when in the area.
Beautiful boutique and coffee shop. Delicious high end coffee!
Old-time browsing place for meal, small things for memories of trip, some local handmade..well done items to show off back home! Food quick and made. Hot and Quick and of local flavor..Enjoy!
A nice place to stop on a long drive. The coffee bar is very good and the people are nice. Lots of pretty things for my wife and daughter to shop.
What a perfect boutique, gift store, coffee shop! Ohmygoodness!!! Stop! Everybody stop by this fabulous shop. I walked in and I think I heard angels singing. Lol. My favorite shop in West Texas!!!
My friend and I passed thru here on our way to New Mexico and man were we lucky to find such a gem. The coffee was aaaaamazing!! I had the creme brulee latte and my friend had The Sara latte (which is named after a regularand it greatly satisfied our caffeine needs. We also had coconut cream pie and strawberry rhubarb, both delicious! They also have a little shop thing going on with lots of unique trinkets and clothing. We were so pleased with the service too, the lady at the counter who made our coffees was genuinely kind and wished us well on our trip. Good vibes and good coffee. They have earned a lifelong customer; Ill make it a point to always come back here during my travels.
Super rustic historical yet modern place. Friendly atmosphere.Great coffee and positive findings here. They sell much more than coffee and offer much more than smiles.
We always stop here on our road trips. Nice little break. Coffee is good, restrooms are clean and great priced gifts! I only wish they were open later!
This is a really cool place but I would call it a gift shop before a coffee cafe. The place is 75% full of gifts, cool decorations, amazing candles and such. There is a coffee bar that had a small sitting area. They serve Seattle Best coffees, and a few baked goods. But compared to a full on coffee cafe its a small affair with a limited selection. But considering this is in Childress, TX it is an amazing spot. I pass through this city often and will not likely pass it.I was disappointed they didnt have cold brewed coffee, but they were nice enough to fix me an strong iced coffee which sufficed.Really nice people and just a well laid out and beautifully decorated place.
Everything about Ballyhoo is wonderful. Enjoy a scrumptious dessert (made on siteand a coffee or other drink as you relax on the sofa or in a comfy chair. Then shop til you drop - youll find everything from candles to kitchen items to clothing and accessories! Find a creative gift or something to make yourself smile. The friendly staff will welcome you and help you with whatever you need!
We were on our way to Amarillo and wanted a break from driving for a coffee. Ballyhoo cafe visit was purely a chance and accidental. But what a surprise it sprang on us. It was a delight being there. Not only the place has been strangely and interestingly organized but it has a very fine and unique collection of merchandise available for sale. It was cozy inaide on a the bitterly cold day and comfortable to be seated. The Chai latte and the caramel coffee too were equally refreshing. The rest room had a variety of moisturizers and hand wash for trying our, if one wishes to buy. The antique collection of items out side is inviting and amusing. Would love to be there when ever passing Childress.
One cafe that is completely unique in its appearance from inside, its selection of items for sale, and coffee/tea.You can literally find anything here, though a lot of it is just for ambience. For example, there is a vintage washing machine outside. A stove that is being used as a table. Some deep freezers being used as storage. They also have unique pieces for purchase. There is no common theme here, youll just have to look and something might click. The walls of the cafe are made with the same tin sheet that is used to make roofs. They have used flattened cardboard boxes to insulate the walls. Inside the bathroom youll find newspaper clippings used as wallpaper. There is a urinal that is under a mantle. On the mantle are about 7 moisturizers that you can try. They have a very good selection of coffees and teas as well as flavored syrups making their selection endless. Their selection of cakes and cookies is also very appetizing, although we didnt try any.Its a nice place to stop if you are travelling from Dallas to Amarillo and beyond.
What a cool little coffee place! I stopped here for some coffee and a break from driving on a road trip from Utah to Houston, TX. I was boring and ordered iced coffee but it was good. Staff was friendly and there was tons of neat stuff for sale in the store. Like tons. I also really love how the space feels... Very well decorated/organized. :)
Gal friendly atmisphere, with unique and interesting items for sale. They offer a small but very tastey range off coffee. Free Wi-Fi is available, and Ive seen people just hanging out chatting to chat. Great place for a quick coffee. A tad pricy but worth the stop.
I stopped by for some coffee to perk up and was pleasantly surprised by the decor and hospitslity. I love how everything is eye candy from the outide to inside. Very well organized with a dash of chaos. Talking with Erica, she seemed very passionate about her business. After getting the expresso I order I was blown away by the quality! I will definitely make a stop through here everytime I head to Dallas texas. Keep up the good work!
I read the reviews and thought I would try the coffee on my way back to Colorado. The coffee was great, the staff helpful and friendly. Its a cute little coffee shop and store. Wish I would of known about it on my way to Mineral Wells, I would of bought gifts for my family there.
