Easy to spot location. Thankfully took me in for 1 night last minute, very quiet and management always onsite so good security.

All we wanted was a good nights sleep it’s nearly 1 am 3 girls have just left sitting out the front of our unit smoking and chatting just been picked up in cars but we re in. Unit 10 the noise behind us is dreadful very loud talking and banging interested to see what’s behind us not good for $150 a night

Lovely clean unit that has been recently renovated in a great location- quiet but near to main shops. Friendly, helpful staff! Perfect!

My young daughter stayed here with her friend after being stuck at the airport from a cancelled flight. Just amazing service and a commitment to customer service that is rare these days. The owners ensured they were able to arrive safely ( very lateand I was very appreciative of how much they cared. Should always support a business like this from genuine people because its hard to find. From all accounts the rooms were clean and spot on. Was well priced and in a great location. Will certainly check it out on my next motorbike trip and thanks again.

My friends currently stayed here in hopes of celebrating their honeymoon .They paid in excess of 1000 dollars for a few nights.They only ended up staying and sleeping for 5 hours as the accommodation they were given was not as advertised.The full payment already being coerced from them.After a discussion which of course was going to become heated when my friends asked for a refund they relocated to another motel.They were told that plates and cutlery were not included.This seems to be confusing as every motel or hotel I have stayed it has been inclusiveI have recommended my friends contact consumer fair trading and the hotel motel head governing body with the information of the lack of service they received.

Comfortable, clean and great staff. Good location close to major shopping centre yet quiet.

Front desk still appears to miss the point that they cancelled the booking due to unavailability and kept me on the phone while front desk was cancelling booking. When I asked "is that it" I was told "yes booking has been cancelled". Lousy response to return of fraudulent booking fee.

Stayed for 2 nights. Will be back next trip . Derek & Jackie are great friendly people & of course little Bobbie. Rooms & amenities are very clean & refurbished. Handy to shops..Thanks guys .

Mother wrote a review that fitted service.. booking was under fathers name and was accused writing a fake review as they could not see her name in records owner is rude and can see from here cannot take any criticism.. rule 101 for business do not argue with a customer online instead ask for details and call privately to discuss so review can be altered if situation is sorted. BAD SERVICE and disrespectful

Fabulous place to stay! Thanks for letting us lock up our bikes. This was a great spot for us as we could ride around Ballina and visit friends. We have stayed in some very ordinary places on river street over the years but we are happy to call this place our second home. We loved being close to the shops too.

Owners are very helpful and friendly. They maintain the property well. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely revisit.

Due to covid restrictions we are unable to stay on the date we had booked. The property manager Dereck has refused to offer a refund and has re advertised the booking to make double the money. He refuses to discuss the matter. It is extremely unethical at this time of hardship.

Very clean and caring.Took wonderful care of my 90 year old parents who were stranded in Ballina due to flooding. My parents stayed a night and felt so comfortable and so well cared for.I cant thank Ballina Colonial Motel enough!Kirsten

I stayed at the Colonial Motel for a stint of 10 days prior to the QLD border opening. The staff are friendly and cant do enough for you. The rooms are renovated, clean and very comfortable. The air conditioner was very effective. The motel is within walking distance of the river, a major shopping centre and the town centre. Had a great stay and I would highly recommend. One of the worst accommodations you can find in Ballina, lousy customer service, rude and unpleasant motel staff, old facilities and what to say about cleanliness. I just wouldnt recommend it.

Ballina Colonial motel is a must. Nice big rooms and are cleaned daily if you want to.Fresh towels daily, Tea and coffee with microwave. Very quiet location. Because ofThe Covid 19 no utensil are allowed in rooms. I still recommend Ballina Colonial Motel the place to enjoy.

Very well appointed motel. Easy access to all that you need and 9 minutes to Lennox Head. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this Motel

Nice room, clean, and tidied everyday. Owner was friendly and helpful. Their dog, Bobbi, is very cute. Undercover Parking right by your door. Convenient and within walking distance to two shopping centres, Maccas, KFC and. Hungry Jacks.

Great place for the price and the owners are nice people who try very hard. Brand new bathroom with great water pressure in the shower.

One of the best rooms I have ever had. Powerpoints next to the bed a shelf in the shower to put your stuff on and the beds are very comfortable, spotless and the owners are very pleasant. Looking forward to coming back.

My young grand daughter stayed at this motel last night (29th March). We booked her late in the evening but it was no problem with the owner. He was so nice and so helpful. He left a light on for her and for safety put her in the room next to he and his wife. This is Georgias first big venture from Darwin to the Gold Coast then to Victoria, needless to say we were worried about her though shes very excited at doing this by herself. In the morning she slept in and Georgias mum rang the owner as G wasnt answering her phone. The owner went and woke her, told her she could still go and have a shower, gave her a talk about being careful on the road due to road works, police being out on a long weekend and how to get to Newcastle. This is 5* service and if Im ever going through Ballina this is where Ill be staying. As a motel owner myself I know what late bookings can be like after a long day, I also appreciate all those extras, people just dont realise how hard it can be at the end of the day. Thank you so very much for your kindness and I will tell all who will listen who are heading up your way just how wonderful you were.

Lovely, clean and quiet. Close to the Cherry Street club which is good. Great hosts and were tolerant even tho I had absentmindedly used the blanket off the small bed which had to be remade....the manager was very kind. Definately recommended.

We selected this motel based on the positive reviews left by other satisfied customers. We were very impressed with the customer service we received over our 4 night stay and can understand why other people rated the Colonial Motel so highly. , Dereck the owner warmly greeted us on arrival, explaining we could use the local bowls club just down the road. Their pool is lovely and clean, in fact our room was spotless - with free wifi. Our compliments to their housekeeping staff who did a great job keeping our room spotlessly clean. They can provide a cooked breakfast for a small fee. The bathroom in our unit had been renovated fairly recently, which was another big bonus, the shower pressure was great. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, and if you needed supplies the local shops and shopping mall are just a few minutes away by car.

Lovely and clean really should be 4 stars not 3 and half. Handy to everything.

Pretty standard small motel in a provincial city. Clean, moderately well-equipped room, friendly hosts. Pool, free wifi, but no laundry.
