MoreA beautiful spot and look out place. Weather is too chill and good place for photo shoots
MoreAlways spectacular. Even more so on a sunny spring day after a ride through the RNP. New cafe there apart from the usual food truck.
MoreGreat place to ride your bike on the weekend. There is a shop, beautiful lookout and toilets.
MoreBeautiful view. Good parking area. Safe entry and exit from the road. Good seating for taking in the grandeur of Gods creation.
Moresuch a stunning lookout. definitely a must visit if you’re on the south coast
Its our familys tradition to visit this lookout. I did a tandem hang glide flight here over 30 years ago. Just love the views.
MoreGreat stopover on old princess highway near red cedar picnic point in the national park. Amazing views of Illawara coastline. Popular spot for hang gliding .
MoreThis lookout is one of the most beautiful places to visit, whether coming at night or day. I’ve done both and it is spectacular. Night provides i relaxing view of the night sky absolutely lit up with stars and allows you to see Wollongong lit up at night time. Day provides a scenic and immersive view of Australia’s coastline and is nothing short of spectacular.
Morebeautiful landscapes with sea. wow
You can go here for a calm and relaxing time. The view over the Tasman sea is incredible. You can find a snack shop and ice cream van there and free parking is ample. Paragliding starts from here so you can watch that too. Overall a must visit place to have unforgettable memories.
MoreExcellent views with plenty of parking, washrooms, and a cafe available. Its a location for paragliding and hanggliding activities which can be nice to watch. However, keep in mind that it can get pretty crowded!
MoreA lookout that is nothing short of spectacular. We arrived before the break of dawn and witnessed a breathtaking sunrise. Combined with ample parking and clean amenities, this is a must-do pitstop if travelling through the area.
MoreCould do with more seats or benches… and definitely hard to find a park… but I guess that would kind of ruin the magic of the place so not sure what the answer is there……But that view!! Oh wow!! Toilets were clean enough and the little cafe was doing a decent trade too! Definitely worth the visit!
MoreGreat place to stop over on the way to south coast.
While the name of it feels like a personal attack for a balding man, its too beautiful and bald to hold a grudge. And wonderful cafe that was very serious on COVID safety and crucially doesnt hold back on the garlic in their garlic sauce 👍🏻
MoreSimply superb place, astonishing views, love it so much
Need to come back when Im bald as I felt having long hair during my visit was rather inappropriate. The cloud view was cool though
MoreVery calming and peaceful. There is a cafe to grab a quick bite while admiring the view.
MoreVisit this place for breathtaking views and/or to experience paragliding. On a normal day car parking is not a problem. However, sometimes it could get really busy. Take-away shop is good, enjoy the beautiful views with fish and chips or a pizza. Btw there are free public toilets.
MoreOne of the best lookouts that’s only a short drive from Sydey (1 hourcombine this with a visit of the royal national park and it becomes a great day out.
MoreDefinitely a fantastic view from this place. It’s always kind of windy there which makes it more cool. Also you can see hang gliders jumping from the cliff which is Pretty awesome. It has also got a coffee shop and ice cream truck for snacks and then you can also visit sea cliff bridge which is nearby
MoreCold mornings, but beautiful. Snap a couple of pics or just sit and enjoy the sunrise serenity before it becomes a Lycra vs Leather showdown 🏍🚲
MoreLovely lookout to the Tasman Sea with views of Coalcliff Beach and Sea Cliff Bridge.Paragliding is very popular here and many people take off from a grassy area nearby.
MoreWhat a wonderful afternoon spent at Bald Hill Lookout watching the hang gliders and paragliders just majestically floating off the edge of the cliff and being caught and lifted by the air around them... what a rush 💨We could have sit and watch for hours. It’s a wonderful view and a great place for a picnic!“Jonique Life”Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
MoreView along coast, as well as coffee stop, and site for hang and para gliders. Good spot after Royal National Park scenic drive and link to any of 5 lookouts on Illawarra Escarpment.
MoreMy family and I loved Bald Hill Lookout and the extreme cliff without the fence I think is totally awesome. We had our young children there that we had to keep away from the edge (which was our problemand putting that aside; its a wonderful place.Being Easter as I write this review; the place was packed with everyone taking selfies and more.Great spot, love to go back there without the kids LOL (as much as I love them!).
MoreFantastic view down the coast to the sea cliff bridge. Bald Hill is obviously a mecca for paragliders with no less than a dozen in sight. The Cafe was busy with a full car park of cars and bikes, many of whom were there for the amazing drive down the winding coast road and across the sea cliff bridge. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
MoreGreat little stop on your scenic south coast drive. There’s toilets, parking, benches to sit on, cafe, hotdog/ice cream van and an amazing view!!
MoreDefinitely one of the highlights of my trip back to Sydney from Wollongong. The view is incredible and honestly makes you ponder about how inconsequential humans are on this planet. We are merely a speck on a massive globe, and seeing the ocean from here, and everything from this perspective is nutty. The view of the ocean takes up literally half your field of view, and it’s just super calming as well. There are also cute, lovely but cautious rosellas here that appear friendly. Please don’t give them bread. If you do, you are only contributing to their sickness and I’d like for you to wrestle with the gorgeous view.Besides the spectacular view, there is a cafe, and more importantly the most advanced public bathroom I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. The cafe was unfortunately closed when we got there but the bathroom was definitely the main event. Everything felt so futuristic and automated. I may be a simple plebeian but holy moly, the little extra touches add up. Playing music while you do your business, automatic flushing once you wash your hands to avoid flushing, automated doors, oh man. It was pretty messy when I got there though, likely due to the works of some careless bread feeders. It was a lovely experience overall and I had thoroughly enjoyed it.
MoreA must see lookout if you are in and around Sydney! The drive is beautiful and the view is spectacular! We went in January on a weekend and the sky was full of hang gliders, just like kites! Was a beautiful sight. Hang gliding sure has been added to my to-do list now😊 There is a lovely cafe and also a hotdog truck if you want to grab a bite with loads of options for ice cream😍
MoreSuperb views of the Ocean and south coast NSW with a large parking area which is a must stop for many cars and bikes.Ice cream van selling coffee as well and a slightly slopped hill is a good spot for a quick picnic as well. Its an iconic spot along that road in Royal National Park
MoreThe place is heavenly. You must not miss this if you are near Helensburgh or Otford. View of Never ending ocean meeting the sky and the Sea cliff bridge from the lookout point are awesome.
MoreLovely place. Enough parking place, facility like cafe and washroom is also there. Check time for cafe since its doesnt open long but within time frame. The view is eye capturing. Not sure but pretty much on clear day you might be able to see Wollongong. Perfect place for short trip from the city life. Sunny day, you can just go down the beach. Dont forget the Bird, I feel great on those environment. With table around first date place if you drive,🤞.
MoreMagnificent view from Bald Hill LookoutHas been renovated since the last time we were there.Parking has improved but still limited, has new seating installed, toilets and a cafe
Morenice place. good view. when im here little bit windy and cloudy. put your jaket on so not make you headache because of the wind. i think when summer or sunny, its must be good time.
MoreBeautiful, view point. The lookout is extremely good to see, a hill down there s still sea and cloud on just your head..so a perfect quite gatewayConviniency: A small cafe is there also automated washrooms.but it can be visited with car or personal transport as no public transport is accessible from there
MoreMy friends have been telling me about this lookout for awhile now. I was in the area and went for a look. I was not disappointed. The view is amazing and you can get a great look along the coast from here. There is a nice view of sea cliff bridge from here although it’s a long way out. Parking is tough here and you have to be patient looking. Nice lookout, enjoyed it.
MoreThe amenities are fantastic. Its a beautiful place if you w at to be close to the sky. View of the Stanwell beach and Wollongong CBD is a pleasure for the eyes. The coffee shop serves fantastic coffee and the price is VERY REASONABLE..
MoreA must go place to go! What a view of nature from the top. It was very cold and windy when we reached there. But amazing experience!Parking place are limited, so donot spend more time to help others to come and enjoy with their car
MoreA sensational view looking south across Stanwell Park beach and beyond to the awesome Sea Cliff Bridge, and then further along the coast to Wollongong. A very cool cafe on site along with a mobile coffee kiosk. This lookout is well worth the drive from Sydney!!
MoreThis place is located around an hours drive from Sydney. Probably chose the wrong weekend to go with over 200 mm of rain. So didnt quite get the awesome views. But hey. I get to share pics of how this place looks like when it gets 200 mm a day of rain. The clouds cleared up a bit for a couple of secs so could get some pics to prove that I was actually at the Bald Hill lookout. Plenty of car park and good toilet facilities. Discovered I had a flat tyre. That kind of screwed up the rest of the day and then we decided to head backEDIT : So I decided to visit this place again. So see the views. Hope these pictures help. They have hand-gliding facilities here as well. Managed to get a pic of one.
MoreTop beautiful spot . For golfers its heavenly. Nice sounds of the waves buying the beach side from above .Amazing spot for nape shoots ...
MoreFreshness of Sydney feels here by every visitors every day. For me this is the best place to visit and relax with mind blowing views activists food drinks and friends. Yes you should have visit this place if you are in Sydney. Check my uploaded photos and videos here and know more about this place. Thank you 😊
MoreDunno why 2 lookout are so close together and having the same view. Nevertheless, the view here is stunning and worth a visit. You may also grab a cup of coffee or even a burger and fish n chips at the cafe nearby.
MoreAn internationally known hang gliding point, can sit here and watch the hang gliders roaming freely as birds. It also overlooks the Sea Cliff Bridge which extends along the Grand Pacific Drive, a scenic coastal drive about an hour to the south of Sydney in the Royal National Park. We went this afternoon(Sundayand the parking lot was completely full. Go earlier if you can to avoid the crowds.
MoreGreatest #view ever! Im so darn glad we decided to pull into that little rest area at the last second! Great all inclusive view of the town, beautiful beach and endless ocean! The pictures Im posting and that others have posted CANNOT accurately depict the stunning view! You need to be there! There are benches and grass where you can chill and have some lunch, and theres plenty of free #parking.
MoreAwesome view. Hardly spent 30 minutes there but it was worth it. Beautiful lookout it is.You got to see all shades of nature, blue and green sea to white coast line to black cliff bridge to green mountains to lovely sky-blue sky.
MoreOne of my favourite spots on the drive from Sydney to Wollongong. Must visit. Breathtaking views and a nice little food truck in the area.If visiting this place, don’t try coffee from the cafe next to the toilet area. They have the worst coffee ever!! Also, don’t miss the hike to the secret lookout over the sea-cliff bridge.
