Gastropub with chalkboard menus, internationally flavoured food, and a tree-shaded patio garden.
Went here for drinks with friends and was served the whole night by the Assistant Manager Adele. She was lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend.
Came to the bald faced stag for dinner with friends. Was served by a lovely lady called Adele. She was so attentive and lovely. Will highly recommend the food.
Went here for drinks, lovely place, great service from Adele 10/10 would recommend.
Came to the bald faced stage for a meal with friends. I had the burger and it was amazing. Was served by the lovely assistant manager adele who was so lovely. Would highly recommend.
went there with friends and had a great experience and the manager Adele was super lovely!! :)
Gorgeous pub, great selection of beers or spirits! Staff are lovely and very attentive.
My favorite pub in north London, great food, lovely live music. Super friendly staff. Will definitely come back as always
Great good, even better atmosphere, adorable back garden and super friendly staff. Nothing to change as they perfect, will definitely come back very soon!
Quick service, friendly staff and delicious food. Pub itself is lovely as well!
Good food, lovely team, great selection of drinks. What else do we need for perfect evening. Great job guys!
The only decent pub in East Finchley! Really beautiful restaurant room and nice heated garden. I’ve visited this place few times on various occasions and every time had a great time. Pub is also dog friendly so you can take the dog for a walk and pop in for a pint.
Over attentive service, friendly staff but all of them came to ask the same questions every step of the way, food was underwhelming and overpriced. Interior was nice but crammed onto a small table because we were told we could have a dog in the restaurant and then couldnt.
I visited the pub on my lunch break and was treated to an absolutely lovely experience. The staff were nice and friendly and the chicken club sandwich was fantastic. I certainly will be visiting again for a few drinks in the near future
Best Scotch egg in London. They also have a great selection of beers. My server, Will , was very friendly.
Lovely pub, great food and good beer. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back!
Lovely bar . I been here to do a decoration for a baptism and really loved the venue . Lovely bar ! Clean and amazing staff
Beautiful pub, amazing food, great night out with friends. Cant wait to return for more good times.
Absolutely amazing!! Been in the industry for 30 yrs and really appreciate good service and food, Hats off to Louise and the team. Love this pub
Amazing local pub. Staff friendly and atmosphere great. Would recommend for both dinners out and a few pints.
Lovely venue, great staff and the odd bevvy of course! Great place to unwine, chill and enjoy great food! Highly recommended 👌👌Also great selections of beers, spirits and wines 😍
Always something great going on here - Live Music or Quiz and recently the Open Mic! So happy to keep coming back and having birthdays and events here - the staff are fantastic and the food so yummy! Vegan food super yummy! Amazing drinks list with add ons all the time! Such a beautiful local pub in N2 :)
Nice place and nice drinks. But we had to return our cider glasses for new ones as they we very dirty. The ones they replaced them with were clean but very worn out and tatty.
great environment, the staff are very lovely and welcoming. The food really fills you up. Lovely restaurant setting. Great for events, a day/ night out with friends or family. definitely recommend.
Came for a lovely meal with my son. Can’t recommend the burger enough it was amazing. All the staff were so lovely and attentive. Will definitely be back again.
Huge selection of spirits which are always on display behind the bar and the staff are always helpful and honest with any recommendations. Always great to have a drink here especially when there is live music!!
This pub is my local and is one of my favourite places to visit. The staff are so friendly and there is always such a welcoming atmosphere. The food is always delicious and they have a great selection of drinks! Always recommend it to my friends and new people I meet.
Visited recently with my girlfriend for drinks and some quick food and had a fantastic time. The guy behind the bar was so helpful and poured an excellent Guinness to start, and Louise gave some great recommendations from the menu, as well as sorting us out with a great table in the outside seating area. Great pub, great food and drinks and great team there, will be back soon. Thanks guys 👍
Unreasonably expensive, not even close to pub prices. It would be ok if what they are offering was at least descent quantity or taste. We got chicken with bacon and this ended up being 2 tiny chicken fillets surrounded by 5 tiny cubes of bacon. One scotch egg almost 6£. Never again
I have gone for dinner to the Bald Faced Stag for years and always come back. It’s maintained an excellent standard for good food with a changing, adventurous and delicious menu. Staff are always very friendly - we have never had a bad experience.A bonus on our last visit: live guitar and singing
A pleasant place, however! Just maybe, if I had wanted coffee or a non-alcoholic drink, as I did, I should have gone elsewhere. Was with a friend, who asked for a Flat White. Sorry, no milk. Instead then, a NON-alcoholic version of whatever it was my friend asked for. The NICE barman charges for the alcoholic version and starts mixing the alcoholic one. HELLO! Wake up! Are you listening? Get the non-alco plus a double espresso, get charged £13.35! Pardon? Was corrected! Go to the garden, the same barman delivers the espresso. "Would you like sugar, sir?" (So, why didnt you simply bring it with? Doh! Do you have a sweetener? Nope. Brings brown sugar. Is it me or was this whole experience simply pathetic?
We paid a visit this afternoon after having not been there in some time. We complimented on the new decor and enjoyed some lovely food and drinks. Unfortunately when I went to the bar to order a round of drinks I was completely ignored by not one but 2 members of staff (male). There were no other customers waiting to be served and the pub was far from busy. My partner (malehad no issues being served so based on my experience we left.Update. We thought wed give this place another try. Arrived today at an empty pub and were greeted by a woman who then walked away and did not return. Another potential customer came in and also left due to no one behind the bar. After sometime we also left and went to The White Lion where we were served straight away.
A good pub with a nice selection of beers and ales. The barman offered me a sample of a couple of the German beers that Ive never had before, which was nice. The beer garden is nice but not spacious. It was pleasant enough though.Would definitely visit again when Im in the East Finchley area.
Lovely place with great vibes, especially on a Friday night - special shout out to Will for really personable bar service, made us feel really welcome! Thank you all x
We came here for a drink really nice refurbishment was too busy for food so they told us before we ordered which is very good we are coming back
Delicious food , friendly staffs , excellent customer service. Will recommend it to others And will bring my family to this restaurant in future.
Fabulous Sunday Roast and drinks. Very attentive and friendly staff. Lovely restaurant area and outside seating too. Definitely reccomend
Really nice pub with a great tree and a beautiful garden, this place is awesome! Try the bread with avocado, its super! 🥑
Good service and great outdoor seating area.
We have been here before for a drink and bar snacks, this time we booked for a meal. The staff are great and attentive, knowledgeable and helpful, with a smile too, you see the two guys at the bar in the picture I was allowed to take of the guys, great help and sense of humour. On being seated at the table I managed to knock and smash a wine glass all over the floor, so embarrassing 😞 I tried to pick the pieces and was told by Will the Assistant Manager to please leave it as its ok and they will take care of it , better than cutting your hands and causing more problems ! Thanks Will and sorry about the glass. The meal we had was the roast option, most had chicken with the trimmings ihad the trio option. Tasty and enjoyable, the only criticism is, it needed more vegetables on the plate , sorry . We did order extra sides and the broccoli with the chilli and lemon , master class 👍. Only two had desert, Bramley apple pie and custard, sticky toffee pudding with pecans and I had custard with it , delicious. Thanks to Will and hes amazing staff from the bar to the restaurant and the the kitchen , thanks Chef 👍See you soon guys 😊
We came for a Sunday roast and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Weve had trio of roasts as well as a burger for the main. The burger was very good but chicken and pork from the trio were absolutely amazing. Much better than your usual Sunday roast. Unfortunately the piece of beef from our roast was extremely disappointing and almost inedible. It was very chewy and completely raw which normally I wouldnt mind but with this particular cut it just didnt work. The atmosphere as well as the staff were very pleasant so all in all Id definitely recommend this pub!
We had a delicious Sunday lunch today catching up with family before Christmas. Initially we chose The Stag for its dog friendly bar area (although our furry friend couldnt join us in the endbut we will definitely be back regardless. Its really lovely inside with fantastic friendly staff. The Sunday roasts were really good. I had the pork belly and the crackling on top was perfect. Good choice of beers on tap.My son said the chicken was the best ever (he had the kids roast chicken). He wrote his own review which Ive added as a photo. We recommend the bald faced stag and will definitely be back!
Food was lovely although quite pricey (£5.50 for a scotch egg - this is the benchmark 😬 .The staff were lovely apart from one chap who was slightly passive aggressive when he saw a table, that another waitress was fine with us moving, was moved closer to us to make some space.
Fantastic service, Alex the manager went above and beyond for me when I visited as part of a special birthday occasion. Thank you!!! Great selection of drinks too. Love the champagne pictured!
We had camembert amd sourdough plater and the best scotch eggs i had in 6 years in London, great service as always🤩
The darling of East Finchley, Bald Faced Stag, has made an excellent transformation to reopening and accommodating social distancing. The updated menu is excellent, with no-contact ordering if you need or super-friendly staff who made a great effort to provide the same level of service despite wearing face coverings. Still such a wonderful atmosphere.
Lovely fish and vegan fish & chips! Quick, pleasant and polite service with excellent food costing ~£30 for both dishes. Nice pub with a dedicated large dining room.
My wife and I have recently moved to East Finchley but have not had the opportunity to try out the Bald Faced Stag until now ! To our pleasant surprise they were running a promotion in January which included 50% off mains during the month. I opted for the Lamb Shank and my wife decided to try their chicken mushroom leak pie. All in all the food was amazing. Not what I normally expect at a pub, very high quality ! The pub is divided into a pub area and then a dining area. We sat in the dining area which was quieter and made for a lovely evening out. Great decorations and service. I would highly recommend the Bald Faced Stag to anyone.
Proper pub with a large selection of beers and wine, a dining area with all the pub favourites, a heated smoking area and a garden bar.Prices are ££Food quality is pretty good and the open kitchen is kind of cool.
A wonderful lunchtime menu at very reasonable prices. Relaxing with good food in the summer sun is a perfect way to start your afternoons. I would highly recommend a visit.
Love this pub. The food is absolutley amazing. The staff friendly and the seating comfortable. Its quite buzy and noisy but I feel that it adds to the atmosphere of a good night out.Open mic on every Thursday with live music and some very good singers. They have a massive rear patio which is so nice during the summer times. Also good parking facilities and a disable entrance. Also very close to the tube.
