Balans Restaurant & Bar - Lincoln Road in Miami Beach
Description
Privilege
Great atmosphere and very aesthetically pleasing also Alex the bartender is always amazing and takes great care of me. Only con is the Dj with the bad wig and contacts. She was extremely rude when asked to take me and a family members photo. She stated “she was busy Dj-ing” yet had a playlist set up on auto play and stayed on Instagram live talking to her friends the entire night. I even saw her leave the booth to yell at a customer outside, yet could not take a quick photo! Balan’s is too classy to have someone like that in their establishment in my opinion.
MoreGreat service from Altab! He’s great. Make sure you ask for him and you’ll have a wonderful time.
MoreWe went today for my son’s birthday. The food was great and Adrianna and Jonathan went above and beyond. They were attentive, efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend going.
MoreI literally had the best breakfast ever !!!! So delicious fresh and yummy. I wanted to take my mom out for breakfast and we had such a good time! The egg benedict salmon and pancakes was really good orange juice súper fresh!I highly recommend coming here for breakfast
MoreThe food is tasty but wildly overpriced. I had a burger, a kebab (extra tiny), and two beers. My total was about 100$. They include 18% tip which makes sense because the servers are not very good, and I doubt they would receive many tips otherwise. 4/10
MoreHad a lovely time...
Went there for Miami Spice. Food was delicious, service super attentive and great atmosphere! Nice experience!
MoreSuch a nice outdoor ambiance. The entire staff even hookah guy was nice. Like they made accommodations for us and our couple friends who came later they were able to move us so we could all sit together. I only had a salad but the Cesar was sooooo delicious. That was a nice experience to end our anniversary weekend. Truly a vibe.
MoreVery relaxed restaurant. Delicious food for a good price. Me and my wife took the 3-way Balans menu, so nice! Spice molten cake and vegan biscuit after our grilled salmon were fantastic..The main take away for our family was the extremely good service of our waiter! Altab, you made our evening!
MoreBeautiful inside atmosphere :amazing staff and some of the best service! Highly recommend the brunch vegan pancakes! Some of the best I’ve had!
MoreBreakfast was pretty regular. Salmon eggs benedict wasn’t that remarkable. Green juice was nice.
MoreI dont like to leave bad comments or reviews but this has to be said.I think the only good thing was the hostess service. You know in Miami there are places overpriced or overrated. This is overpriced.A lamb skewer of less than a pound is 25$. The meat tasted like dog meat. It wasnt even enough for a kids meal. Really sad.I didnt understand the presentation of my drink. Normally a glass is 3/4 full and cold. My glass was halfway full, hot and just tasted like juice.Sorry, but this place is a no for me.
MoreAmazing restaurant, fair price, friendly staff. I had a Milanese Chicken that was superb! The place is beautiful too and I’m planning back as soon as possible.
MoreService and atmosphere: 5, food: 2.5, at least for me. I went to with my friends to celebrate my birthday and the place was lovely, just like our waiter. My problem was that I spent almost $40 on a mediocre crab salad that tasted un-fresh and smelled very fishy. I couldn’t even finish it because the taste was so unpleasant and the flavors in the salad just did not complement each other. It’s a shame that such a scenic place in a nice location has such below average food.
MoreI absolutely love coming here everytime I visit Miami. The staff and food are wonderful. My guy loves the the hookah and the awesome Flavors.
MoreOne of the best places in Brickell for Brunch in Miami. A great locals place. They also have a fantastic happy hour!
MoreI went on one of the most boring dates known to mankind and I...we ended up here. I enjoyed the ambiance, the staff is fabulous and the food was pretty good. The aestethics were very pleasant, the furniture is elegant. The place is a vibe.
MoreAltab was an amazing server. The atmosphere was incredible. We came from Dallas, TX to Miami to experience something different and this place exceed our expectations! Truly incredible service, food, best drinks, and an amazing experience. YOU MUST GO!!
MoreBeautiful brunch spot in Miami with a European vibe. My family and I went here on a Sunday and I was so happy they had such a great selection of vegan options. The chocolate and toffee bar dessert was outstanding. Honestly the service was great and it was refreshing to find this restaurant in Miami. I can’t wait to go back and try the vegan pancakes.
MoreI went to this bar with my friend Karina, cause she suggested it, since I was visiting her and we were nearby. The owner, Victor, was nice and super friendly. The bartender even made us another cocktail since the first one was a little sour. Absolutely enjoyable for a night in Brickell!
MoreDecent food, but they tack on 18% gratuity (after taxon a TABLE FOR TWO. I’m a generous tipper and would have given that anyway but to have that automatically put on my tab with no warning is enough to make me never go back.
MoreFood was bland. First waitress was preoccupied and not interested in waiting on me. Service got better when I was ready to leave
MoreIf you are going for the atmosphere, shisha and decent service then you are good. The late night menu is terrible - feels like prepared food ornately presented
MoreSaturday Brunch! It wasn’t were I expected, but it’s centrally located in Brickell a blow down from City Center. We had reservations which we made through open table.Parking was a bit of a pain on a weekend but there’s a lot about a block over for $15.We arrived at 12pm and there were a few tables taken outside and 2-3 inside. I guess we had just beat the rush.We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table. The restaurant is very cute and quaint.I ordered a Green juice, came in a bottle, still delicious. I ordered an omelette and shared the French toast.I liked the fluffiness of the omelette and the roasted potatoes. Very tasty. The French toast has a good favor and came with guava and passion fruit. I would suggest eating them right away bc French toasts always taste better warm.I’d come here again if I were shopping in the area.
MoreThis place is a 5 of 5 stars. Great service from hostess to servers, food is so yummy. I’ve always had great experience here. Totally recommend
MoreAbsolutely the best place in miami! Not only were the food and drinks phenomenal but the customer service was the absolute best! Everyone, from the hosts to the managers, made us feel welcomed and at home. I 100% recommend coming here!
MoreGreat and tasty food. The staff was really friendly too. We will come back.
I dont know how Balans doesnt have higher reviews. This is our favorite spot in ALL of Brickell and we have had a year under our belt to have come to this conclusion. The service is always great- some of the best in Miami, especially when Rich is around. Hes such a vibe, always on top of it and hilarious to boot. Zen, the hostess, is always welcoming and full of smiles. The food is always incredible, as are the drinks.I always gush over the playlists and one night the manager went out of his way to show me where to find ALL of them on Spotify. Keva, well done! Our first two times coming there was also a magician going around the tables outside and he was incredible! So much fun, nice little addition. In the huge sea that is Miami, this is one of the only restaurants we have found where we actually feel seen.Thank you team at Balans! Keep rocking it.
MoreI had an amazing dinner with friends! The food is sensational, the music perfect and the drinks menu was incredible! (Dinner was so good we went back the next day for arguably the best breakfast in Miami!)
MoreAmazing Food, Drinks are Great! Staff is helpful and friendly! This is a Happy Hour Spot!
MoreEverything about this place was anything short of amazing. John (the managerwas attentive to my friend and I the entire night! I think we were here about 4 hours. He made our experience a memorable one and because of that they have a new loyal customer. The hookah guy was also great! We will definitely be returning soon!
MoreGreat great place... well located. American food awesome. AWESOME for Sundays breakfast. TERRIBLE SERVICE.Now it looks dirty. I was served water and the glass it is dirty. Look at the picture.Still 2021 and the service is horrible. We are in Brickell so or either close down or offer an awesome service.
MoreAbsolutely atrocious coffee. So bad they need to lose a star off an otherwise 5 star rating. Terrible quality and taste.Bright sides are professional, friendly, and prompt service. The eggs Benedict is fantastic and nearly makes up for the aforementioned morning transgressions. Fair prices especially for Brickell breakfasts. Would eat here again but please for the love of all things holy get some decent coffee! Tastes like Maxwell house or some other canned brand.
MoreWe had such a great experience- Alex was amazing! We got the mushroom toast, avocado toast, eggs benedict, and ube chia seed pudding. All the food was unique and satisfying. Definitely recommend.
MoreThe reason why I give it 3 stars is because it is very OVERPRICED .I paid $13 for Caesar salad + $14 for salmon …. And $11.50 for a dessert that less than the size of your wrist . Very expensive and nothing special …
MoreVery delicious food. The place very cozy. The service was amazing. Highly recommend.
MoreCute spot and got right in. Staff was very polite and food came out quickly. The waffles were delicious.
MoreWow what a surprise, after 5 yrs of living here in Brickell I finally stopped here...I really thought this was "bar food", but what a great meal, Steak and Eggs $29 my wife had Grilled Salmon with coconut rice, mango salsa..she said "amazing".18% gratuity included, well worth it...Bruno our waiter was super....Balans in Brickell is my new spot...
MoreTHE.BEST.RESTAURANT.IN.MIAMI!!!! Out of every place I have dined at , this puts the cherry on top for me. Absolutely perfect. My first visit was with my sister. She took me out for brunch and we had the lobster pasta and Mexican eggs along with peach Bellinis. Honestly, the eggs tasted pretty good but I thought the lobster pasta was a better taste and more satisfying. The second time was right before our flight back to NY with the rest of the family. I ordered the lobster pasta again which was phenomenal: the flavors and the thickness of the noodle along with nice chunks of lobster made for a fantastic dish (and look how pretty it came. The salmon cake was light and delicious and so was the dipping sauce. I do not like waffles but when I saw how thick and slightly crisp they came for my nieces and nephew , I tried a small piece and instantly fell in love! That was the best waffle and I was surprised how it was crunchy but soft on the inside and sweet without syrup they were!!!! I had fo order another plate for myself LOL! It was delightful. I had the best time here and I can’t wait to come back to Miami to dine here again. I would give it 10 stars if I could!! EXCELLENT!
MoreThis place rules!!! The service is AMAZING, our server (Brunois the nicest guy ever, the drinks are amazing and it has a really good vibe! 100% recommended, you won’t regret to go to this restaurant!
MoreBeen walking around for awhile looking for some stomach warming soup, even though it is not on the menu but the server says they do have.As a business traveller staying in a hotel, I expressed my concern that I want just the amount so I dont waste. Was recommended a side with the soup plus some bread to go with the soup. And food came quickly with just the right amount I was hoping for. The olive spread for the bread is the highlight. Goes really well with the soup. Advocado salad is well balanced with just a tiny bit too much of the citricy. It could be just me though as I am always looking for the creamy taste of the advocado before anything else. All around, good food, good service and I am a happy traveller.
MoreEclectic restaurant with a varied menu and great drinks selection. Ive been to the one in London and the selection here is a bit Americanized. Food is good and decent flavor but not great. I suppose for a late night option its good. Staff are polite but not friendly.
MoreWe didn’t try the food but it seems people like the food. However this place has the worst hookah ever and it is very expensive. The 3 stars are for the service, the waiter tried his best to make it better.
MoreHate to leave poor reviews but I was very unsatisfied eating breakfast at Balans. Service was hardly decent. I kept having to grab the attention of someone elses waitress to help me. She was great, wish she was my server. I barely saw my table server the entire experience.Food simply wasnt great at all. Guacamole and Crab on toast sounds like a delicious crispy bite, yet came out soggy with little flavor. I was excited about the Banana French Toast but bread was so soaked in syrup I couldnt enjoy the bright flavors of the dish.Anyways.. I work and live in Brickel now. Just moved here from Vegas and simply looking for a great place to dine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
MoreThis restaurant is mostly a brunch place that have some good lunch options. The buttermilk chicken was too breaded and made it seem like there wasnt any chicken. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and yummy after adding some pepper. The Crab linguini was a delicious meal with pepper added. It would have tasted richer with more spice. The noodles were al dente. The breakfast was good, its a traditional English breakfast. The bacon was crispy and salty whereas the potatoes required more seasoning. It was very bland. Overall the atmosphere is great, they have a live DJ outside that plays modern and throwback music. The drinks are well priced. Would come back.
MoreBalans is a Brickell staple, has been around longer than most of the residents. It is a solid spot for breakfast on the patio, meetings, lunch, dinner and even late night.I always get the 2 eggs breakfast and they do the poached eggs perfectly. For lunch, the crab and citrus salad is amazing. At happy hour, the hummus platter is great, or crab cakes or the wings. Lately, theyve been setting up a Bloody Mary bar on Saturdays that is CRAZY. Every topping you can think of.Go here and see.
MoreDont waste your money on the Sangria it is bitter. The manager tells us that we must consume a beverage to sit and smoke the Hookah we are already enjoying...Maybe you need to get a new Bartender (Mariahor was it you that made it??? Our server was nice guy
MoreChristmas Eve morning. Needed coffee. My son & I walked to Balans. We each had a cappuccino & decided to have breakfast. The service was great & helpful. We sat outside with the beautiful December weather. The food was delicious & reasonably priced.
MoreIve been here for brunch, lunch and happy hour a handful of times. There is a decent variety of food and drinks. It all depends on what you get. Breakfast is good, lunch can be ok. Happy hour prices on food and drinks is a great deal. My issue is with the cleanliness. Ive sat along the bar many times and the counter is frequently sticky and there are fruit flies or gnats or something. Also my most recent visit the person next to me had their shoes off and rubbed their feet nonstop while putting their hands back on the bar. A few employees walked by and noticed but didnt ask the customer to put their shoes back on.
MoreJust sat down to have a quick brunch and study. The Huevos Rancheros were good, but not amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and respectful. They let me stay for much longer after I had finished my meal. The food is 3 stars, but the service definitely deserves 5 stars :)
