Bako Korean BBQ - Korean restaurant in Puch'on, South Korea
Nice design place. But food sucks and lack of hygiene. I saw the worker use his bare hands to prepare the bingsu for me. He even wanted to use hand to dig out the icecream for me but luckily i saw it and managed to stop him. Very dirty kitchen. Rm25+ for such tasteless and cheapskate bingsu. Totally not worth it.Other food is just normal and pricey. Not worth to come again.
Nice place for Dinner, u Will get authentic food here. Environment are so gorgeous. In sri petaling this is the best BBQ Restaurant.
Service is good. But the bbq porks seems not as tasty as per expected, given the price. Taste is not there and not complete feel.Portion is not that big as per described actually. The sides also not tasty and seems prepared in average effort.Place is spacious and good deco. I see a lots of potential.Keep up the good work, improve on food quality and I believe you will deserve more! 🤗
Cheap ingredients and overpriced. Sundubbu taste like water v kimchi. Tea rm13 for a jug and unrefillable.
Overpriced food and bad quality meat. Service was okay but food taste weird, hard to explain. Just weird.
Not good!! Service bad !!!!!! Feel hot , air cord broken?
Overpriced 😅 Acceptable meat quality. Only 3 tables were seated including my table on a Friday night. Probably cause it’s expensive. Waiters weren’t that helpful also tbh, had to remind them 2-3 times before they refill the vegetables. Won’t revisit this place. Didn’t bother taking much photos as the food was just ok. Nothing much to shout about on the side dishes.
Food not fresh and very pushy when ordering. Not recommended
Fair food and good service
Generally like the ambience here, comfortable and trendy too. Food is pretty above average. Definitely short staffed.I like the pork neck. The pickled radish was oddly tasteless.
Tasty food and great atmosphere. We will definitely visit again. It isnt the cheapest place but given the quantity and quality of the food youre getting, it seems justified to me.Keep in mind that weekdays before 5pm they will bbq the meat for you in the kitchen. If you want to bbq it yourself at the table, you need to come for dinner or during weekends/public holidays. We will visit again.
BBQ with self service or served service. Meat well sliced with balance of fat and lean meat. Side dishes are plenty. Service is not bad. Can order Korean alcoholic drink like maekgeoli, hite, soju and etc.
Spicy beef stew only few extra small slices, potion of the beef way too less
Seems like a budget Korean option, but is it really worth it?So this bowl of kimchi beef soup costs RM21.90. It comes with fish cakes and kimchi side dish. The overall quality is really lacking, the taste is subpar and the care towards quality of ingredient is abysmal. Not to mention the amount of meat is less than generous (this is me being conservativeand its frozen, clumpy beef. Old and dried out onions are used and not properly peeled as well. For an extra RM5 - RM8 you can easily get much better options with proper Korean restaurants. That is what Bako basically is; a budget option that is a far cry from proper Korean quality. Not recommended at all. I dare say that McDonalds Korean burger can fulfill your Korean cravings for less the cost and, sadly, with better quality ingredients.
Ordered BBQ pork neck, honey garlic fried chicken (half chicken), ginseng chicken soup. The banchan was only a few variety. I expected more. Kimchi was ok nothing special. Pork neck was quite meaty and less fat. Fried chicken portion was huge and tasted ok but the batter was too thick. Cant really taste the ginseng in the soup. Too mild. Check out my other reviews at foodylicios.blogspot.com
Just so-so, located in the busy commercial shoplot area of Sri Petaling.Fried chicken was very unique, should try. Kimchi pancake is not that good. They have different sets you can pick, typical of Korean restaurants. Sitting outside can get pretty hot, perhaps more suitable for a rainy day. Service is standard and price is standard as well
The pork was ok, but the beef was not fresh. It’s just plain beef without marinated. The pancake was too thin, like a slice of paper. For the quality of their food, it’s slightly overpriced.
I ordered from grabfood. And they did not put beef in my RM23 meal. If this is what Im getting for ordering take away from you guys, I could have just eat grass like cow. Theres no meat omg. Thought I can have a nice warm meal for once and this is what Im getting. So disappointed.
Good service. I would say that the price is slightly pricey. Would be better if they gave more melted cheese in the hot pan platter for two ppl.
If you like meat, you will definitely like this place
The menu has almost everything korean you can think of. Food is decent but not the best. Overall, i would visit again
Felt so deprived of Korean food during the lockdown. Came across their BBQ set package that also offers free delivery and a good discount! Didnt regret ordering it.. Ordered for myself, then for my family and and for my friends. Service was good, delivery was prompt, no fuss at all.Friends said that the meats, soup, chicken wings, the bim bim bab and the pancake were all super delicious, fresh and hot. Meats were tender, rice ball yummy too!
I reward 5 stars to the BBQ set that we ordered from BAKO. The perfectly marinated n tender bbq meat paired w fresh lettuce and quality doenjang, the thick kimchi jigae.... Everything satisfied my cravings during mco😍
Nice bbq , portion is quite big and of course the price is on the high side. There is a play area, good for bigger kids
Information on the menu is not complete. Was told the cheese dip need add another 8.90 but on the bill is 18.90. Fried chicken doesnt taste good at all. Jasmine tea too..yuck.And the food is so overpriced....One star for the good service from staff, but sorry, the food is so bad.
Nice food, all of us like their kimchi soup, reorder twice and feeling satisfied.Price range around RM50 per person, as we order set and share.Toilet is clean.
Foods and drinks are ok. Place quite nice. Price are little bit on the high side. Btw, their service are good.$$$$/$$$$$
Pretty nice Korean BBQ place here in Sri Petaling. Food is fresh and side dish are quite alright. Just felt the price per pax is slighty high ~ looking at RM55-70 per pax if going for BBQ.Parking can be tough in that area but you do have the multistorey parking lot closeby.Service is good too
The environment and food is awesome. I would love to come back here again and again. The Korean food is authentic.
The best experience. Such a cozy and welcoming environment. The owners are the most down to earth kind people you will ever come across. And the food! Growing up in Korea I can te you and this is one of the most authentic experience you can get!I
Generous amount ofBuDae Ji Ggae, nice environment, the stuff is very welcoming.
Nice environment, good staff but not so good.Their teokbokki taste ridiculously sweet instead of spicy. Seafood soup lacking of taste and the prawns are not fresh.
No air cond, only 1 fan for whole shop. Seriously? Already mention is hot, but still not switching on the air cond.Foods are a lil pricey.
RM130 set provide many dishes, suit for 2-3pax, but I still dont like korean food :(
The bbq pork they cooked in kitchen taste stinky greasy and those pork slice look like over night one and not cooked freshly. Kimchi are bad. The rice served are cold and taste weird too.If you are the investor of this shop. Go try it taste it your self. By the way the shop i visited is the sri Petaling branch.
We went during lunch time , not much people there but sad part was No bbq at table during lunch time , food is nice , different way of having it , buy taste good , price is on higher side , no discount for lunch as they should have given some discount coz no bbq at table , no service no money , but food is nice we had set for 2 people it cost around 130, and cheese pan cake another 40 , nice place to dine in , nice ambient light . Could recommend ,but only during dinner time .
Good environment/ambience with nice lightings. However, price is slightly high/above average than those korean food restaurants outside. For the food, the kimchi do not have strong/heavy taste of a kimchi. Feel like not authentic. Then for the Grill pork is a bit stiff. Grill items do not come with the oil with salt for dipping like how normal korean restaurant provides. The boss/cashier is a local chinese.Overall can worth a try.
To be honest, the puchong branch is better.Their kimchi here doesn’t taste that good and their kimchi soup is super bland, so dissapointed with the price u charge. Also the toppokki is just plain tomato sauce lol. Around 50 per head and this rubbish food. Disappointed. The meat on the other hand were decent
One of the best kbbq, however prices are a little too high for high schoolers. The ambience was great and perfect for gatherings but it can get quite noisy during weekends to the point we had to shout at one another.
Decent place for BBQ, and good ambience with a/c. Stuff was OK friendly, but many were not very responsive. I am in love with their 8 variation of side dishes offered for 2 pax, they are very well cooked and tasty (and of course refillable). BBQ was a disappointment, its either the meat (beef and porkwas not fresh, or the waiter who helped us cooking has no idea how to grill the perfect meat. May not come back again.
Underrated place, food alright, service is tip top, price not too expensive, acceptable and better than most Korean food out there.
Decent place for a Korean bbq. Taste was average. Service was awesome
One of best Korean bbq in town. Very generous with side dishes - no problems for numerous refills. Staff are super friendly, even offered to cook our food inside if we wanted, and when we said we want to cook at the table, the waiter did all the cooking and cutting for us. Good selection of normal and premium cuts. There’s a reason why they are around for a number of years.
Quality food with reasonable price, our favourite place for Korean BBQ!! RM80 for set for 2-3paxs and comes with Kimchi stew
fantastic korean BBQ . kimchi and side dishes nice . kimchi jigae very good taste . recommended pork skirt and jawl meat tasty . we will coming again .
A new Korean restaurant in town and the BBQ is quite tasty. Environment is relaxing and nice for chilling with friends.
Is great experienced that having Korean BBQ at Bako. The BBQ meats imported nice, juicy and fresh . Unlimited refill side dishes ,refreshing watermelon soju , waiter and waitress giving a best services . A Good place for gathering and hang out !
The only thing going for this restaurant is the decoration. The service is absolutely horrible, prices are above average. It would seem that they staff gives no interest in customers and you will end up chasing them just to make sure you are even served any food. You ate better off going to the other Korean restaurants in the area.
The place is chic but service was bad, seems understaffed... And the server seems like doesnt know the menu well. I dont find the food to be authentic enough. Well based on the look of the outlet, its not going towards the authentic direction.Limited options of banchan.
Outlet design is good but ventilation is still not good.Menu not much choices.. mainly on bbq set on premium price. May not be the choice of people in this area. Good luckGood thing is food out quite fast, maybe during early dinner time 630pm
