Baker Street Kitchen - Restaurant in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Busy place, food lovely and fresh. Staff are friendly and efficient
Simply the best. This is my favourite place in Middlesbrough. The food is delicious. Oh and the desserts are lush. Superb atmosphere. Friendly staff. Nothing is too much for them. Would highly recommend.
Came for breakfast, avocado was like slop, mushrooms too big and tasteless, dirty menus, dirty floor, the women’s bathroom was disgusting won’t be returning.
Really nice and cosy place to go to! The lady said they dont do a student discount so me and my friend asked to split our hot drink into two cups - later we realised that she gave us a free one!🥰🥰🥰Ps. there is no review book so I am leaving a comment on here
Lovely service, and the food is amazing and the wait wasnt too long. Lovely waiting staff who are kind and respectful and the atmosphere feels comfortable and cosy.
5 pounds for a bowl of bang average granola. I’m thinking over 100% markup on cost.
We attended Orange Pip Market on Saturday. There were 3 of us & toddler for lunch. It was obviously an extremely busy time but we had excellent service, very pleasant staff & our lunch was so nice. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the Market too.(BSK is in the middle of all the action)We will definitely go again.Thankyou Baker Street Kitchen.
Lovely coffee and lots to choose from menu friendly staff
Best food, freshly cooked and friendly staff
Every time I go to Baker Street kitchen I get the best customer service I’ve ever received and obviously amazing food! I can’t explain how lovely staff are here!
Loved it. Good service, good food, good laid back atmosphere 👍
Dont know whether it was just too busy at lunchtime today but ordered a Parmo Ciabatta which was dreadful. Couldnt even get a knife through it , inedible apart from the chicken strips inside. Waited a while for it to arrive, and had no time to complain because had a meeting to get back to. Normally really nice food but very disappointed today. Staff too busy to even check if everything was okay.
The Tesla of breakfast places in BoroTop notch full English, fresh and not greasy. Great smoothies 🙌Wouldn’t go for a brekkie anywhere else!
Great quality food. Staff were very friendly and made a fuss of our dog. They even brought a sausage out for him. If were in the area well definitely be back!
A little pricey, but great food and staff.
Everytime...just perfect...Cant beat the fantabulous coffees, Hot chocolates and tea varieties. Food today was Mushroom and Egg brioche and Sausage and Bacon Brioche. 5⭐️
Every time we’ve been here the food is amazing, bus mistakes happen at all restaurants and BSK is no different. When we got our food today, there was an issue with one of the meals (nothing major at alland we took it back to the counter. The staff were absolutely amazing with us and couldn’t be more apologetic. They took care of us and instead of the food standing out to us this time, it was the exceptional customer service we received. Thanks so much for making a fuss of us and leaving us with arguably our best experience here, we will definitely be coming back very soon!
Lovely friendly staff and food was lovely. Will be going back
Fantastic coffee shop and restaurant in Middlesbrough. They have a great menu and the food is top quality. I popped in for full English breakfast and a cappuccino. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. They have indoor and outside seating.
Went out on a weekend morning for breakfast, first visit and I was very pleased with the fast table service. I had planned to get the Chicken Waffles but unfortunately they were not in stock that day, but it was happily substituted with pancakes instead. The meal was delicious and Ill definitely be making a return in the future.
The food is pretty good. Quite expensive though and the portion sizes steer towards the cheaper ingredients (IE fried tomatoes, mushroomsthan others (hash browns, sausages, black pudding).
Popped in for a quick coffee whilst my other half was at dentists.Nice flat white and a warm cheese scone.Quick service and reasonably priced.
Lovely cafe just off the main centre. Great food, delicious & a good choice. Had breakfast & took cake home, very happy customer.
This is one of my favourite spots for a mate date and catch up its stylish modern and very welcoming, the food great and they have a nice variety of options on the menu, the staff are friendly and nothing is to much for them, got to mention the young lass who is always on the till her personality shines she is very cheerful and set the pace for the restaurant, if she isn’t a manger she deserves to be
Thursday was the first time I have been in and I have to say I am very rarely wowed by service but all the staff were super friendly. In particular there was a blonde lady/person with tattoos on their arm at the till who has the friendliest demeanour of anyone I have come across and was an absolute credit to the company. The food was excellent and despite being mega busy everything was served hot, timely and prepared perfectly. Would absolutely recommend.
Very nice ,First visit pleasant and helpful staff tasty food good choice for all !! Allround great experience will definitely go back !!
Its a lovely little place, unfortunately the food that day was all a little over done.. but very welcoming and friendly staff, clean, and good choices on the menu.. and lovely, clean customer toilets 🚻Id definitely recommend and return to this place 👍
Really friendly staff excellent food quality and verry fair prices for the quality you get.Verry clean really cant pick a fault we only went in for a breakfast would definitely return.
Had breakfast in here, and my workplace had a staff do before the first lockdown. Both visits were excellent. Staff are great, especially with kids, and the food was just delicious. Waiting times are absolutely fine and I couldnt find a y faults with it. Just go!
Great food, great service and perfect location in the city! Had to wait for a table on a busy rainy Saturday morning but was definitely worth it!
Very good breakfast, had the eggs and bacon with some white bread toast. The only thing I was not totally happy about was the orange juice; not very big and a bit pale and watery.
Excellent. Great Gluten free food. Clean and airy. Well worth a visit. Nice friendly staff too. 👌
Was visiting the area from London and decided to have some food there. The quality was terrible, the bacon was like cardboard and they forgot to serve our orders TWICE and we had to remind them only to have to wait again another 20 mins for it to be prepared because it wasnt prepared in the first place. Will definitely not visit again.
Great cafe in the heart of Middlesbrough... Tasty food and swift service... Breakfast to recommend and some particularly tasty bacon and hash browns.. One to come back to
Ordered this morning food was amazing and didnt wait long coffee was amazing
Absolutely disgusting. Paid £22 for this. Asked for extra mash and instead recieved a tea spoon amount. Ordered chicken breast and recieved a scabby, undercooked slimy leg. Roast potatoes rock solid and tasted of fried fat. Basically paid £22 for some peas. Wont issue a refund either as they have lost a lot of customers lately due to ethical reasons, and clearly need to keep my money.
First visit after lockdown. They have a great system in place, you can order your meal on your phone. Quick service. Lovely food and pleasant staff. Nice place to eat.
Went here for breakfast and it was lovely. Full English is good quality and not too much on the plate. Coffee here is always very good. Service spot on. Will definitely be back soon.
Lovely place with a lot of class. Staff are super friendly and professional. Made me and my wife feel really comfortable. One of the best cafes in the Middlesbrough town area.
Food lovely and the restaurant was itself is nice. However service is terrible. Food was late and asked for sugar multiple times still wasn’t given. Change for £10 wasn’t given had to go Back to get change still noapology.
Stopped by for a family breakfast. Place set up to be COVID-19 Secure, and everything felt secure, with good procedures in place. Food and drinks were great (only slight criticism was that the bacon was a little dry and tough for my liking)!
Had a Sunday roast in here yesterday. The staff were friendly, the portions of the food was right & the cheese cake was very nice. However, the foods were just lukewarm which was rather disappointing. I wouldnt expect that from somewhere like this.
Lovely place for an informal meal. Had dinner there on a Saturday night. It was quiet, but very crowded when we passed earlier on today. Food was good, service was great. Very friendly staff.
Although the staff were extremely friendly and the place was lovely and had a chilled out atmosphere, it wasnt the greatest. The vegetable antipasto starter was good but the marinated chicken main was dry. The seafood in the linguine was terrible; the mussels in particular had a horrible after taste. I have made plenty of seafood at home and never messed them up this bad. The linguine, again, had almost no flavour and even the chunks of fish tasted of watered down sea water and smelt like a fish tank. Definitely will not go again. I left feeling disatisfied and sadly disappointed as I expected more for my money.
We received a Groupon voucher for Sunday lunch as a gift, came today to redeem not knowing what to expect as none of us had been before. All four of us were impressed with our meals! Beef was mouthwatering and pork was sensational. It can be hard going for food with a six month old thats just starting to be weaned but staff were very understanding and helpful in everyway possible. Im sure well be returning in the near future. The very best of luck to the waitress expecting her own little boy. Thank you all again for a pleasant experience.
Very convenient little place for a lovely cuppa and a chat. The cakes are to absolutely for and the presentation is excellent. The atmosphere is delightful and very comfortable and welcoming. Just the place to go and take the weight off your feet and catch up with friends or simply watch the world go by. Id not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is seeking a fantastic experience.
I was pleasantly surprised that they had a vegan English breakfast which was very nice. There were other vegan dishes on the menu which I would have liked to try and will do so some other time. The pot of tea was very large and the service was attentive and friendly. Will surely go again.
A fantastic place to eat, drink and relax. Lovely atmosphere, great staff. A few more dairy free options and this place will be spot on. Great value for money, love it!
Much better than I expected, although the portion sizes are quite small (which suits me finethe quality just about makes up for it.The staff were very smiley and friendly.Lost one star purely on value which, isnt bad, but isnt great either.
Visited a few times for lunches, friendly staff and quick service. Always managed to get sat straight away/relatively quickly if its been busy. Good choice of sandwiches, melts, salads and brunch options available and a good mix of hot and cold drinks.
