Slow-smoked BBQ & other American grub like pizza & burgers plus tons of beer in a casual setting.
Food tasted nice but was cold. Waitress was really nice and very helpful/attentive! Probably should have just ordered a beer or water!!!
Used to be good. Bbq is dry and food is cold. Every time I go.. I tell myself never again.
Large portions, maybe too large. The food is not bad by any means, but it did leave a little to be desired. The staff was wonderful, the location is great, the atmosphere definitely feels like a BBQ joint. If you want a decent place to get some decent BBQ this is the place!
Food was amazing !!Pumpkin cideer awesome ..
This was our first time here at the recommendation of friends. We shared a full rack of delicious spare ribs, fries, and sweet potato fries. We ate outside and portable propane heaters near us kept us warm on a cool Fall evening. The place was packed, which says alot. The menu offers a lot of options at good prices. Well definitely return.
Wow…I’ve heard so may good things about the smokehouse, and so I was looking forward to my first dining experience. As an appetizer, the 4 of us ordered crab cakes and soups and all were good. Then, salads which were also good. But then dinner came….awful!First, The Rueben sandwich had to be returned. I’Ive rarely seen beef so overcooked and chewy….someone in management really needs to try one!The rest of us had bbq ribs and chicken…. in some combination. The baby back ribs were really, really dry and tasteless.Really bad!I can’t imagine that a smokehouse would serve such a poor dish!We wanted to tell our waitress but she was rarely present, never checked on our food, and finally returned and ignored us - she had 3-4 other small tables. She was obviously overwhelmed on a Thursday night.I hope that management responds to my review because I always give local restaurants a second or third visit, even after a bad experience. In the meantime, I won’t be back.
Really enjoyed their 2 persons BBQ sampler. The spare ribs were perfectly done.
Great food and great atmosphere. The perfect place for a family dinner or a weekend lunch since everyone will find something to eat and it will always be good. The team is always very friendly and will go above and beyond for the customers. It might be hard to find a place when theres a game on, so give them a call before you arrive.
Food was flavorful. Great portion sizes. Restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area. Currently serving an Oktoberfest menu.
I had the fried chicken and ribs combo. The ribs were tender and the chicken was tasty. The Brussels with bacon were ok. Mac and cheese was good. The garlic mash didn’t really taste garlicky I guess I expected a strong garlic taste. Drinks were riced well and were not weak. I had the Blauvelt sunset which I loved. Not too sweet the liquor taste was well marked by the other ingredients. I will definitely go back and try other things.
Passed by here on our way to the city. Decided to give it a shot. Everything was lacking in flavor. I had the grilled chicken the underside was completely burnt I wish I would have taken a photo. The baked beans had absolutely no flavor. Hubby had the Pastrami and it was very small for the price. He said it was dry and also lacking in flavor. He had unsweetened iced tea and for the first time in his life didnt even get refills he even asked for water and left the iced tea on the table. How do you mess up making unsweetened iced tea. Tasted like they ran it through the coffee pot and never cleaned the coffee pot. The place was very clean, the staff was friendly, but the food needs some help.
We had Baileys before for take out and food was good. Today my family I dined in and our experience was not good. The waitress was good but the food was not. The french fries were hard, the mac & cheese egg rolls did not have a good taste and the wings was bland. Again, this is not our first time eating food here. In addition, the section we were sitting at an isolated corner, we spent more time fighting flies. What a terrible experience I will not want to come again. What happened?? Hope there is someone that looks at the reviews and deals with these issues.
Slowish to bring food out (we waited about 45 mins - it was quiet - and they still didnt say anything). The meat could have been cooked slightly slower to improve the texture.Im guessing not many people order the steamed vegetables as they were undercooked (they were hot but very hard/crunchy).Good selection of beers on tap. I had a point of the wrench - which was really good.
Always consistent with amazing bbq, fried chicken, and pizza. A place that has perfect three different types of food. Pretty impressive
Had lunch with co-workers. Pretty decent fried chicken and spare ribs. Excellent flavor but the ribs couldve been a little more tender. Id go back again for sure. Very cool pub vibe.
Good bbq and service. We came around 1 on a Sunday and there was plenty of indoor seating. They have ample outdoor seating as well.
Great food, cold beers what else do you need!!Update, we ordered wings , table buster for one and brisket sliders. We sat in the little room by window. Wings, ribs and pulled pork were delicious, but brisket was extremely fatty. Also major fly problem in that room. Waitress was very nice and drinks were cold.
Great food for the price. The flavor is more sweet bbq rather than peppery of Texas style. Portions are generous. Sides are great. The meats are a bit dry but overall good.
What an experience! I have always loved smokehouses but had not been to any in a while. Knowing this, my boyfriend took me to Bailey’s, because he enjoyed eating there and his food friend (Chef Wilsonworked there. In about a week and a half we went twice and both times I was blow away by the food but also the service. Every single thing was amazing! Everything had its own unique taste, was cooked to perfection and was packed with flavor. Wilson also gave us some splendid dishes in addition to our order. Man, what an experience! I highly recommend Bailey’s Smokehouse. Also, Wilson has his own menu separate from Bailey’s, you can buy from both. You also will not regret getting the corn soufflé and the honey tater tots 😀 thank me later.
Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. I had the sampler with spare ribs, brisket, and sausage, and they were all so delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, lots of people laughing and having fun. I’ll definitely be coming back here.
Completely not satisfied. I heard great things about this place. Our meal was not cheap. To start off, they gave us our order without all of the items. When we went back to get it, the person did apologize. We went home to eat it. #1....$18 for a steak sandwich with NO STEAK. Where was the steak? Also, Im not sure how you could screw up a french onion soup or a pretzel and make it taste disgusting, but it did and was disgusting. As a chef i would be embarrassed to send that food out to customers. DO better baileys!!!!!!!!!!
The food tastes terrible. I would ask for my money back, if i hadnt read the reviews first and see that the owner is clearly in denial. IS not good with critics. He should be listening to his customers that are paying, instead of claiming we are incorrect about the food being terrible. This place is almost Gordon Ramsay worthy of visiting. Kitchen Nightmare, nightmare owner. This place used to be good, but they clearly sold us old food. The taste has stained my mouth even a day later. Gross! I wonder if the health department has ever visited this place... or fire the chef/cook!
Great restaurant in Blauvelt, NY It reminds me of a typical barbecue house in Houston. Great ribs and chicken waitress Kelsey is super nice. And efficient.
Had the chicken and rib combo, highly recommend the spicy southern greens, and Brussels and bacon. Absolutely delicious. Been coming here since 2015.
Wow, this place took a turn for the worse. Their prices are like 7 dollars more than a couple years ago and the quality of the food is less than ever. $26.50 for 6 slices of brisket, green beans and Brussels with no color or roast on them at all. What happened to this once great place? That was my last trip there. The waiter also didn’t come by more than once about 15 minutes after we got our food.
Our family really loves Bailey’s smokehouse because they have so many nice people working there, it’s clean and affordable, and we love their food, especially the fried dark meat chicken dinner, corn soufflé, and nachos. I do wish that it was not always as loud in the main building, though, which is why we often choose to sit in the takeout place next door. Otherwise, it’s great.
Just had Bailey’s for the first time, decided on their spare ribs. Some of the best ribs I’ve had in a while! Nice smoky flavor with a really balanced dry rub, my only regret was that I didn’t get a full rack. 2 thumbs up for sure!
To quote my husband “that may have been one of the worse breakfasts ever”. For me it was. We both ordered French Toast. One with bacon; one with sausage. When served there was no butter with it and none on the table. The sausage was a patty and over cooked as was the bacon. We asked for another order of bacon and it wasn’t much better. As for the butter - it looked like they used a knife and took a piece off a stick of butter and put in a small plastic cup. Very sanitary! When the waiter asked how everything was I told him. It was very evident his apology was insincere. Shouldn’t ask if you don’t want the truth. This was our first time and it will be our last. Definitely not recommending Bailey’s The Eatery to anyone.
At one time this restaurant was great. The food was good and you could count on it being consistent. How times have changed. Just not the quality it used to have. The meat is very fatty and the quality has just gone completely downhill. And if you order takeout make sure you reinforce the packaging before you put it in your car. They do not care and they don’t package things well.
Visited on a busy Sunday, sitting at the bar. Beer selection is really good with a few macros tossed in, and as advertised, in 20-ounce glasses (typically $9). Its a barbecue joint with an expansive non-barbecue menu, so I started with the buffalo chicken salad, which I expected to be fairly small for $13....nope, its enormous, its like a giant mound of chopped-up breast soaked in a medium buffalo wing sauce, atop a big pile of lettuce and grape tomatoes, and ranch-like dressing with a ton of blue cheese crumbled around it. My dining companion had the barbecue wings and enjoyed the pile of gooey goodness that arrived.I was plenty full but hey, gotta try the brisket! So I ordered that as well with another craft beer. The brisket could have been fattier, and it came out a bit on the dry side. It was like it was the lean part except there was bark, which naturally was the tastiest part. But the bartender was really attentive even with a full bar to himself, and food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. Its a big room including the seating and the crowd seemed quite chill. Id entertain a return visit next time Im nearby.
If you like BBQ and Beer thats the place to go!!
Excellent barbecue. The pulled pork was delicious and the burnt ends were so umami. My pallet was fully satisfied and I walked out with leftovers. Bartender was authentic Irish lassie. My drink was big and well made. I high recommended this establishment. 5 forks I award to this barbecue.
Texas lollipop were excellent. Ribs were cooked perfect.Only problem, menu says 3.5% charge when using credit card.No extra charge when using cash or debit card.Well I was charged the 3.5% and used my debit card.Yes, I should have checked it before we left. So my fault.Just make sure you check your bill before you leave.
My boyfriend and I found this spot on Google, and decided to stop by for lunch after hiking nearby. It’s a very cozy bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The service was quick. We had the chicken and sausage gumbo and my boyfriend had the chili as appetizers. Soo good! We also split the braised short rib grilled cheese. All the food was amazing! Definitely recommend this spot!
Over priced and under cooked, filet was like dog food rubbery. Asked waiter to find out why the filet was sautéed in mushrooms and onions since I am allergic didn’t even come back with response. Ribs where pink 215$ Christmas Eve dinner down the drain. Been going here for years maybe chef is different either way last time for me.
Food was really good! Price was really good for the amount. Friendly staff, great environment. Definitely recommend for your bbq eatin(pic is platter for 2)
Fantastic experience for the family. Enjoyed the food a lot and the atmosphere is great. With awesome music (rockin the background. Had tried many menu selections between the 7 of us. All of them were scrumptious. Thanks Baileys... Well definitely be back!! Food was fresh as well...Cooked to order it seemed.
We always go here if we have a craving for BBQ. Their BBQ platters is good and reasonably priced. Our favorite side is the corn soufflé. We are definitely repeat customers of this place.
Our waitress Sarah was amazing. 3 adults and 4 kids and she didnt skip a beat. Food is delicious and weve been here multiple times and drive in from NJ. Well worth the drive!
What a gem of a find! I love BBQ and craft beers, so this is going to become by new best place to eat at. Food is excellent here, and the ribs specifically are fantastic! A vast and ever changing selection croon of brews to boot! Service is fast and friendly and the staff are very knowledgeable. You wont go wrong with visiting Baileys.
My few visits at Bailey’s have not allowed me to experience the entire menu but I’m in love with everything I’ve ordered here so far. Staff is pleasant and the management is world class.A++
Wow!! I cant wait to fly back next week for more food!! The bartender was awesome and the food was amazing!! Texas Lollipops and Burnt ends were 🔥
Great food, and great service. Drinks are reasonably priced. The ribs were not fall off the bone type, but they taste very good. The brisket was slightly dry, but they were good as well.
Im not a meat eater, but my bf enjoyed his meat samplers and his meal. Food looks amazing and smelled great. Service was good. Loved the corn soufflé. My favorite side dish. Its similar to cornbread but with more bits of corn inside. I thought the sweet potatoes to be just regular and as sweet/flavorful. the catfish needed a little more seasoning. But it was perfectly battered and fried.
Food was great. Really good service. 3 meat combo with Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket. Mac and cheese side counts as two and it is. Got the corn souffle as well and it lived up to the hype.
Amazing food, Awesome staff, cant go wrong with anything they offer.... Brisket was perfect. Must try the corn souffle
Ordered the BBQ for 1 with three types of meat (brisket, sausage and baby back ribswith a side of mac & cheese. The brisket was gross. It was clear that it was old brisket reheated with some BBQ sauce on it. How they served this for lunch is beyond me. It was so dry, overcooked and inedible. The ends were so dry it reminded me of jerky. Seriously. The ribs, also old and reheated over a charcoal grill (a little too much since it was a bit burntwas a little better than the brisket, but really bad BBQ overall. The sausage was just ok along with the mac and cheese. In retrospect, I should have complained to someone.Wont be returning.
If you are in the area, this place is an absolute must! Excellent BBq, Impressive tap beer selection. Nice selection of mixed drinks ( order the donkey ;)..Oh, and its all very affordable! I had a wonderful dinner and returned for lunch later in the week.
The smoked ribs are absolutely delicious! Baby back, spare ribs, sausages, anything you order you will not be disappointed. I attached a picture of some Texas lollipops, holy cow, best appetizer, ever!! (Sausage cutlets wrapped in bacon)
The meatloaf is weird as it tastes like either chili or taco seasoning plus mushy. The BBQ beans I was told were baked beans but in reality were kidney beans. The bourbon glazed carrots AMAZING!!! My friend ordered all white meat chicken meal ended up with mixed chicken meal. Waiter said he would fix it, came back with another mixed chicken meal. Granted he may gotten 2 meals for the price of one but he only got 2 pieces of white meat out of 6. Bacon wrapped sausage sounded a lot better then what it really was.
