Beautiful staff, great play list for emoween. Had a sick time, thanks guys. Glassies and bar tenders are fantastic! Hope those tips are going towards an end of year celebration for these legends. Thanks for a wicked Halloween weekend darlings! Decor was 10/10

Probably my favourite venue. Perfect for seeing live shows or emo night events while still being able to chill out, chat and actually hear your mates in the beer garden in-between.

The bands were amazing! I am only giving 3 stars for the venue though as there was no food trucks. It was constantly advertised that food would be available so we thought wed have dinner there. On the night we were told sorry...youll have to order Uber Eats. It would have been nice for an update to be posted so we could have grabbed dinner beforehand!

Hired Ivy 1 for my sons 21st birthday and was absolutely blown away by how helpful, friendly and competent all the staff were. Especially Nick who went above and beyond to make the night a success. Fantastic venue, thoroughly recommend!

Unique tucked away gem for live music. Holds up to 500 people. Good sound and for a smaller venue a number of different vantage points to watch from. Casual beer garden where you can get a drink and a feed before the Gig.

I visited the bar for the anime/cosplay/music event last Saturday 27th of August. The event was awesome!!!! But the bar itself seemed a bit out of maintenance and the cocktails were not correctly prepared :( I understand that it was a very busy night but there was not a minimal effort to at least shake the ingredients correctly.

Seen quite a few gigs here and not once was the sound quality poor. Good layout with a number of vantage points and an unusually good amount of seating inside too.

This bar would rate up there with one of the top band venues in Perth. Plenty of seating options, food and toilets are kept clean and presentable.

Great drinks, events, staff and atmosphere. Will be back!

stunning venue! terrible cocktails.. would love to watch another show here but would skip the cocktails.. so small and tasted actually awful.. shame.. we saw the Fleetwood Mac Dreams tribute which was insanely good! loved them so much! ❤️

One of my fave venues, especially for live music.So easy to get to by train, lots of different zones that cater for all kinds of patrons.

Went to listen to two tribute acts for Perfect Circle and Tool. What a unique and fun venue. Totally felt safe and surrounded by fellow music fans. This venue is tailor made for musical experiences for genuine fans.

Attended an Emo Night event here on a Saturday night in June 2022 and had an amazing time. Security before and during the event were friendly and present and we noticed no issues throughout the night. Bar staff were quick and decent despite the loud noise levels in the venue, and bathrooms were clean and well presented even late into the night. We would definitely consider attending the venue again.

Staff were great, the place is a bit of a weird set up, sea containers, fences, marquess, weird but, somehow it’s good. The people the place attracts so weird people as well. Or maybe it’s just me. The older I get, the more I think everyone is weird.The food was quite tasty as well.

Emo nights are repetitive, but as a live venue, it absolutely slaps. Good drinks good vibes

If i could rate this place no stars I would . Great venue and I absolutely love velvet shock. However, the security were horrendous and the management absolutely sucks. They were extremely snarky and rude, kicking my friend with aspergers out. In absolute disgust about the management of this horrible place. All we experienced was discrimination, with my friend being denied entry at the bar constantly. Anyone associated with her was kicked out. Will never return to this place because of the security and management. They need help ASAP!!

Nice place for a gig. Tiered setup allows for a good view. Dance floor is small tho. Booze is cheap.

Good atmosphere and good music.However staff were very quick to judge friend, unfortunate circumstances, friends accidentally butted in to ask for a glass of water, and was kicked out for it. Bouncer Told him he could come back if he ‘sobered up’ so he sat out the front and went to 7/11 to get water/Powerade in an hour and A half period and was still denied entry after that He had only had 4 drinks throughout the entire night :)It came down to a misunderstanding and I understand they’re just doing their job but it was pretty poor form we had just arrived and he was removed within 5 minutes. Did everything he was told and was super cooperative not causing any trouble and still kicked out. Disappointing

Really cool bar and the concert area is really cool. Saw Custard on the weekend and it was a very fun evening. Staff doing drinks should be able to know what a customer is asking for but also MIX THE DRINK.When you put the syrup on the bottom of the glass and don’t mix it I’m not getting the drink I was paying for. Same with things like Vodka. Don’t not stir a customers drink

Clean place, nice burgers from the Yard, I wish I had a glass for my beer and not plastic cup tho. Otherwise simple and friendly atmosphere, good for the weekend out.

Badlands is based in a wasteland right along side the railway station in Mcgyver.Sunday sessions closed at 8.00 p.m but other nights open way after most City Watering holes are closed.Friendly and efficient staff who go out of there way to answer questions, if they cant, they get a shift manager to do so.One of the rare places in Perth for bands to avail themselves of live Gig performance experience.Good atmosphere, well run, with more than adequate Security, when required. 8/10

Great venue for live entertainment. Awesome atmosphere and team are fantastic. Always enjoy being there. Wish there were more places like it. But I guess thats what makes it great.

Great night! Saw a Joy Division / New Order tribute night and the band were unreal! Well run comfy venue with cheap booze and an awesome vibe. Would badlands again!

I came here to watch End of Fashion with my partner, family, and friends. The venue has a great cavern-like aesthetic, and plenty of drinks on tap. The staff are very friendly and approachable, while the security stays on top of rowdy or inebriated patrons. Id never been to Badlands before, but will definitely be coming back!

Great vibe here. Lots of good live bands and shows on at this bar that make it awesome. They usually have a nice cocktail essentially on tap for $10 which is almost always a winner. Can get very busy and crowded but still an amazing time. Especially love the Brazilian gigs they occasionally host, crazy cool atmosphere.

On Friday night I held my own festival for my birthday at Badlands, which had been postponed since April lockdown. My only concern with the delay was going to be the weather. Well, I can confirm that the staff had delivered in making sure the marque was up with lights and heaters and our own smoking section!The bar staff. Brendan, Jordan and the other cool young guy, I’m so sorry I forgot your name. made the night so effortless. I cannot recommend Badlands enough. Ashleigh was very helpful in the leading up to the night.Whilst I can’t say enough about the venue and staff, my DJ and my people, made my special night epic!!

Awesome place for gigs, huge room that looks and feels like a cave, which adds to the fun of a rock or metal gig for sure. Good sound too. Great drinks, well priced and the staff are very active and friendly.

AWESOME! Cant thank these guys enough. They took a lot of the stress out of organising my sons 21st. They kept me up to date with everything and they made the night go as smooth as it couldve gone!! Fantastic night out. I dont go out much, but this was an amazing night out. Very welcoming staff, fast service. Great music, had a blast dancing the night away. Will come again.

Really friendly,vibrant crowd staff are excellent and venue is really well set out catering for all walks of life, highly recommend a visit and yes we will most definitely be going back.

This place has done a great job with the outdoor area. I really liked it. The inside is quite dark but you do get some good music events here, keep an eye out for them and come down to check it out!

Badlands are awesome, Ive hosted a few corporate events here over the years and theyve always been well catered and well organised. The team are always very flexible with our requirements and the staff are super friendly. Definitely recommended.

Myself and my girlfriend had our joint 21st birthday party here recently. We had an amazing experience - the weather was a bit cold and rainy on the night and the staff set up extra marquees and heaters for us which was appreciated. The whole process of planning the event was made much smoother by the lovely staff member who we corresponded with (Ashley I believe their name was!), the bar staff were amazing and friendly on the night, catering was great (and flexible for people with dietary needs/allergiesand the overall cost of venue hire + catering was reasonable and didnt blow the budget. Thank you to the team at Badlands! We highly recommend here for anyone looking to host a party or function :)

Awesome venue, saw a great band live but wow the music was just over the top loud. Laying in bed the next morning and I still cant hear properly and my ears are ringing like crazy. They sell $1 ear plugs at the bar and I strongly recommend you grab them or bring your own.

An iconic Perth venue with excellent facilities (yes even bathrooms), an awesome team of bar and venue staff, and now a delicious menu! Love the fact that we can still get great food, drinks and live music all at the one place.

Large crowd. The bar service was excellent very little waiting time and fair prices. The happy hour before the show was good value. The toilets were very clean during the entire show. All round Nice venus. Good service. A credit to management. And staff

My wife and I just went and saw Butterfingers and co. and had a great time at this venue! Friendly and attentive staff who were working hard and with smiles. Good drinks and the pricing is very reasonable. The decor of the bar is awesome and well suited to the location. We will definitely be seeing more shows here!

Quaint, trendy and lively! Great concert location for Ziggy Alberts

Went there for the Iron Maidens show and was very impressed with the facilities. The layout of the venue is interesting and works well. The staff were both friendly and efficient with their work. Prices for drinks were very reasonable and cant be faulted. So overall you cant help but have a good time at the Badlands. Highly recommended....

Great live music venue with decent drink prices. Full elivated stage and epic outdoor area to chill between bands. Often have food trucks for a late night sneaky snack too ;)
