Badgers Bar and Restaurant in Derry

Ate here on a very busy Halloween evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.

Brilliant chowder and other small plates last night, Guiness was great. Atmosphere is stimulating, lots to look at with pictures and paintings, staff very friendly and helpful.

My husband, sister and i visited Badgers this weekend. We would recommen this Bar/Restaurant to everyone. Staff particulary Kevin were absolutely amazing. Food was to die for. We defo shall return soon.Thank you guys.

Family friendly, good food choice and great pints

Best fish n chips Ive had on the island of Ireland yet. The pints of Guinness seemed even fresher and tastier than most other pubs. The Guinness stew was large and also very good. The interior, service, and prices make this place worth eating and drinking at.

The staff where great and friendly and the food was great and really tasty. The only thing it felt cramped and not enough space between tables. Great decor around the building. If you take your car you will have to park somewhere near as no car park. Give it a go you will love it.

Brilliant pub for a Guinness and, from chatting to others, great for food.

Food brilliant as usual. But place needs an update. Carpets ,tables and chairs must be there from 1970. Staff everything good bar decor as I say 1970,s lol

Great food loads of choice and helpfully staff responsible priced

We were over from Glasgow visiting Derry and popped in on a Friday afternoon.Service was great and so was the food. Smart looking place too but we wouldnt expect anything less in Derry.👍

Was in Derry for an overnight stay from Belfast. Called to Badgers on Friday afternoon. Place was busy but my daughter and I got seated. We both ordered the roast beef with veg and champ. The roast beef was disgusting. Full of fat and inedible. Its a pity as staff were nice and surroundings cosy. Unfortunately I wont be visiting these premises again.

Lovely place, love the decoration and everything. Should’ve tried their beer too but I was driving, burger was just okay though, the patty was a little bit dry.

Very busy bar on Sunday the rugby was on tv plenty off people having food looked good we just had a drink very quick service @ friendly staff

Surprised at the reviews. .As my experience was totally different unfriendly and Unengaging barman .Even though the place was nearly empty.Had a great time in the rest of the city though.

Used to always love this place for there food but lately it has not been as good. Cant fault the staff, all helpful and friendly but the food is a definate no☹ really disappointing doubt i would eat in there again

If you are in Derry and dont go there for dinner, then you are missing out big time!! Simply reading the menu makes you salivate already and once the food lands on the table you just cannot help yourself but dig in!!! And the wonderful, kind and professional staff is the proverbial cherry on the top!!

Met a friend from Derry here for a chat. My first visit to this pub. Very friendly staff. Glass partition between tables . Great buzz. Good Guinness. Seems to serve food also. A central location near shops and the historic walls. Classic Irish pub decoration. Will revisit.

In Derry for the day and went here based on the recommendation from local wall walking tour. Great traditional food and well priced for what you get. Will be hitting here again on the next visit to Derry.

Amazing staff.We asked can we watch the rugby?Next thing we had great seats with TV in perfect view.Great Guinness too the best in Derry they say.And like many other bars well priced.Highly recommended5 stars all day long

We always visit this place when we stay in Derry. Great bar with great staff but yesterday there was one member who had a very bad attitude, They got our drink order wrong and when it was questioned they proceeded to slam it down on table followed by dirty looks.This will not put us off from visiting again, but thought we should make you aware!!

If you live in Derry or come to visit, make sure you get a pint of Guinness, some grub and a bit of banter in this lovely pub!

Excellent place to eat and drink, staff couldnt be more helpful. Even spotted our doggy (he sort of hid under the tableand offered us water for him.We were lucky to get eating outside as the weather was great.Great range of beer on tap, and great range of dishes to eat also.

I love eating here but i gave 1 star less because the Guinness bread was inedible. It was rubbery and they had no alternative. The seafood chowder was very good though.

I cannot rate this place high enough for super-friendly staff, great prices and a menu that’s spot on. The service is personalised and friendly every time I’ve come here.When the Guildhall Taphouse let me down on a Saturday night booking, the wonderful team at Badgers helped me out, otherwise I’d be left hungry. The food is great from their cheesy chips and toasties to their mains. Excellent value and very tasty.This place is also host to the Derry Girls mural but if it wasn’t, I’d still give it 5 stars for the food and service alone.

Beautiful food good service and polite staff .

I was with a large group and we went there our first night. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Igot a burrito and it was really good! If you like the show Derry girls you can see the mural from the bar.

Great place! Great food! Super busy due it the Jazz festival, however they were very attentive, till it came time to pay. We tried to flag down three different wait staff before we got our bill. We were just trying to clear out so someone else could get in. Normally, we would just sat and chatted.

Cool spot. Has a pretty authentic vibe inside. The food was quality: we ordered the pan seared salmon and the sea food salad special. Would for sure recommend. Easy parking at the mall and right next to the wall.
