Bad business practice. When ask for recommendations our waiter only recommended the expensive whiskey even though we told him we want to try something for beginners

A nice place for a drink and meals

We were told minimum charge per person was $800 when making a reservation. Unfortunately the trained staff was kind of pushing us to order set menu which was $2200-2400 plus pairing drink $1500 plus water $80 per person when we got there. Reluctant to offer the other food menu (I used to have). They claimed Backyard is transforming to “a dining place” during supper time🤔 Not a pleasant night as our set menu was pricy and not luxurious. In general that will be great if you mentioned “new dining thing” on the phone🙂

Nice ambiance. Decent collection of whiskeys (including some independent bottled whiskey), Rum, wine etc. Well experienced staff. Notably they provide a good service.

super nice place to try all different kind of whiskey. no wine list but just tell the bar tender what kind of whiskey you like to try and he shall give you a very nice suggestion (S.DONT FORGET TO AAK PRICE FIRST.

Really great bar in the Xinyi area.The have an outdoor area and the views of the city at night are really nice.When ordering drinks, you can let the staff know what sort of whisky you like and they’ll provide some suggestions. They’ve also got a really great cocktail menu.I’ve been a couple times and it’s always a great experience

Poor service. The staff here likes customers who spend a lot of money at once rather than regular customers. Byebye唷～

Cocktail quality is more than a disappointment even to a point that might slightly piss you off. Ordered Long Island and a special menu similar to mojito but none of them taste even decent. Also their whisky collection seems much but missed quite some good ones... The only upside is probably nice crew and sweet vibe (thus two stars instead of one.I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for decent drinks...

Even though they didnt have anything vegetarian in the menu the chef dis manage to rustle up a delicious veg pasta especially on request! Nice place with great serving staff.

DO NOT COME! They got the worst server they could possibly hire.The attitude was so rude. When she talked, she didn’t even look at us, no smile, nothing. We do not feel welcomed at all! Since we got seated outside, it was hot and my sister got bit by mosquitos. When we looked inside, there was only 1 to 2 tables occupied with people. There were plenty empty tables. Therefore, we asked the server politely if we could be moved inside if people didn’t show up. She straight up telling us that there is no way to be moved inside and if we don’t want to sit outside we should just go home and maybe come back the next time. She didn’t try to accommodate instead she just refused to make any kind of accommodations for us.It is totally understandable that the restaurant is fully booked. My family and I are also fine to sit outside if she could talk to us with a better attitude or at least put on a smile.There are so many other places in Taipei where you can find good service, food, and cocktail. I would recommend you all to avoid this place!

Had business lunch here, western food is ok. Fusion food is interesting, but not as I expected. Overall, vibes and drink are good, as for the food, really have some space to be improved.

A $2000NTD (retail pricebottle of Nikka Coffee Malt is sold at $600NTD per glass (roughly 2oz). We also had a glass of Russells Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon for $450NTD, retailing for approximately $2000NTD per bottle.

Ive never been to their original store, but after coming here, its definitely on my to try list. they have a large collection of whiskies (in fact they barely have anything else). their cocktails are also mostly whiskey based. so whiskey lovers should definitely try this place out.sadly the food is mediocre, so i wouldnt recommend this place if ur looking for a decent meal. For bar food standards though, theyre decent.Although the place isnt huge, the decor and atmosphere is chill.I would come back again if im in the area and looking for place to drink

Come here in the afternoon, then you can enjoy the good selection of whiskey and a great leisure time. Food is savory and good to go with alcohol. A little bit pricey than other whiskey bar.

If you come here to order a bottle of whiskey/Scotch to drink slowly, you come to the right place. One of the female staff is very patient and knowledgeable when it comes to whiskey. She takes time to introduce different labels to customers. However, if you come here for cocktails and food, it might be a different story. Food is only fair but pricy. The bartender really took his time to make simple cocktail (20 minutes for JD with Coke).

Whisky sour tasted pretty good. Performing average for food so may feel a little but pricey.
