Great venue for classic rock. We always have a great time. Owners are fantastic folks and the staff top shelf.

I come here all the time but will absolutely never be back again because of a bartender named Carly. We brought my niece here a week after her 21st birthday to celebrate. My niece is trans. Carly wouldn’t allow her to drink or accept her ID because it has her LEGAL name on it and it doesn’t match how she looks!!!! She even told us we were “full of shit” I will never be back. My mom even got married at this bar and all the other bartenders and owner are amazing. But because of this one bartender we will NEVER be back.

The staff was super friendly, and the drinks were just the right blend. I had their signature, The Purple Pucker, and it was suhweeeet 😁If youre looking for a down home crowd and a good time then this place is for you.

Backwoods! Not happy with your bar! The bikers that come into your bar are all packing! The atmosphere is way to serious! Your not a family bar! One of the bikers came up to my husband and asked where he is from! And not on a conversation basis level! It was just my husband and I enjoying dinner after a hard weeks work! But no! We ended up leaving do to all the biker hostility and drama! What a disappointment!

Very cool place, always friendly staff. Good live music, motorcycle parking as well as plenty of car parking, just off of I-45 between Conroe and The Woodlands makes it a convenient place to hang out with friends and family. Beer and liquor available as well as an on site food truck. Pool tables and outdoor patio seating as well

Very impressed with this place. I went for a dear friend’s memorial on a Sunday afternoon. The bar is on a large piece of land with beautiful trees and wooded scenery. It’s not too far off the freeway, but I felt miles away from the busy hustle of the city.Great service, big indoor AC cooled space with pool tables, covered outdoor open areas with bench seating, live band, delicious food and beautifully made drinks – serious, the Bloody Mary is a meal inside a drink – Fantastic! They have a fun bar with beer, liquor and wine. The waitstaff was on their A game the whole time and prices were great. They have a food truck right off the patio of one of the covered sections. The food was fantastic! I sampled a friend’s catfish and I ordered the fried okra with ranch for dipping. Both were very tasty! I had food envy on the plate next to me. The guy had a Texas Cheese Steak with fries. It looked good and he said it was better than it looked. If I wasn’t so full from my Bloody Mary meal and okra, I might have ordered something else from the food truck. I would like to go back now that I know what to expect. Highly recommend! I came to this bar and was forced by a biker gang to tip $200 on a $4 tab and then I was told to leave immediately. I was later beaten to a pulp by these same bikers at Golden Retriever bar off 1488. After $65,0000 of dental work and facial reconstruction I returned a year and a half later only to be confronted by the same man/biker gang. I refuse to let these degenerates ruin our beautiful city of Conroe. Do not support these thugs and if anything happens to me or my family after posting this I pray Conroe PD prosecutes the men responsible for the heinous acts they promised to commit if I or my family spoke out against them.

It is only getting better. I have been coming to Backwoods Saloon for many years and it only gets better. There are more areas for comfortable outdoor seating and a place for a food truck. When I was there a few of days ago it was Meat Wagon. Excellent bar food! I suggest putting Backwoods Saloon on your list of stops!

Had my wedding ceremony there and it was perfect, and Ms. Brandy and her staff were so sweet and Helped in any way I needed. Glad I picked there for my special day. My guest ate at the meat wagon food truck there and they said it was so delicious.

One of the best hole in the walls on the north side. Good music, great bartenders, and good vibes beyond the occasional drunk chick climbing on stage. Check this spot out, laid back and fun at all times!

Went for the first time on Sat Oct 16th, 2021. Most everyone was dressed in pirate gear or motorcycle attire. My girlfriend and I stuck out like sore thumbs but it didnt matter! We had a blast and everyone we talked to was super cool! The 3 ladies behind the bar were the most efficient bartenders Ive ever seen - practically no wait for a drink! Well be back very soon!!!!

Im gonna give this place a 5 star cause of their vibes and the Alligator in the back. I came in too late and their kitchen was closed but at least I got to enjoy a beer with an alligator. Pond was kinda murky but it was dark and I couldnt see much

Great Bar, off the beaten path. They have really good live music. Big out door deck off the back and parking for motorcycles. The staff is friendly, alcohol and cold beer. Did I say really good music. Can get a bit smokey at times, but hey, people can smoke in this bar they even have a cigarette machine. Check this place out. Texas Icehouse in the flesh.

Biker/blue collar atmosphere in a good fun way. Cool owner. Friendly bartenders. Huge outside area. Good bands on the weekends. On weekday afternoons the regular crowd is like Cheers but in Texas. Great place to kill a Monday afternoon laughing your butt off. Dont be scared! The beer is cold and the bar has phone chargers!

Great Huge bar. Neutral biker bar, with some of the best bands you will ever hear in any bar. Beautiful out patio with bar. Great staff. Great little dive bar! Were not bikers but have always felt welcome here by the regulars and staff. One of our favorite low key spots on a week night.

What a great little hideaway. Mostly the biker community but not strictly so. Pool tables, and dart boards , as well as some really great live music. You will enjoy yourself

A great hidden treasure. The owners are awesome, and the people are friendly. I read a review stating, unless you are part of the click, nobody talks to you. I was there for half an hour and a whole bunch of people spoke to me. And not one joke about just arriving from New York. I strongly recommend this place to bikers. The only thing I hate, and the only reason I dont frequent there, is I hate smoke filled bars.

So glad I found this place. Stumbled upon it on the Houston Blues Society calendar. What an awesome place. I was fortunate to come in on a Thursday open jam night. This place rocks. Awesome staff, great music, cheap beer, a gator in the pond. A great mix of people and free nachos. What more do you need.

We love going here! Such a diverse crowd and it is fun to get to know the regulars. Has good prices and great bands too! On slow nights the jukebox works like a charm. Darts and pool! If your lucky...you can see an alligator!

Love this biker bar! Its got a great deck and view. The perfect stop on a ride or just to go hang out. I love their Bloody Mary, its the best! The staff are very friendly and call their regulars by name. The food is pretty decent.
