Backsberg Restaurant in Noorder-Paarl

The restaurant are temporarily closed.We however tasted the wines. Fairly average except for the dry red blend which is not only good value but also exceptionally well blended and with subtle wood. Well rounded everyday drinking wine.

Had our wine tasting here. They where very professional and had some great tasting wines. We learned a lot from the tasting was great fun.

Best wine and chocolate and cheese pairing. I was in heaven.

The space was really comfortable , service poor from initial server, the bobotie was really nice but overall a rather disappointing menu, rather average so 2.5 stars !

Was there today were busy dishing me some of the starters so when i lift up the bread there were alot of cockroaches on the table

If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. The box "beef" burgers are sub-par and thats being polite. The tin mushrooms served alongside are barely palatable. Then theres the almost 2 hour wait for the meal... to try and be reasonable they are busy, but no heads up of the long wait for food. When the above was brought to the managers attention I was fobbed off. Overall, Highly Disgusted

Very disappointed this time.. The breakfast menu is dismal. Especially for replacing items to make it vegan friendly. I brought friends with me after raving about restaurant only to have been let down.

The best buffet and lamb spit roast I have eaten, EVER!We didnt have a reservation and took a chance while out for a drive. The staff were friendly and arranged a table for us. I would suggest you make a reservation for a Sunday. The buffet is available every Sunday for lunch. It is very reasonably priced.There is a place for children to play as well as a jumping castle. There are meal options for children too, aside from the buffet.Seating is available or wine tasting and you can order a snack platter to enjoy while you do the wine tasting.This is a true gem of a place and we shall definitely be back.

Such a lovely place! We came here for breakfast and even though their menu States that breakfast ends at 11am, they were more than happy to accommodate us just after that!Take note, the ENTERTAINER app does not apply to breakfast.The eggs Benedict is amazing. Their addition of balsamic vinegar really is a game changer
