Venetian-inspired bar for small sharable plates, pastas, pizza & wines by the glass & bottle.
I came here for dinner with my friends. We ordered shrimp ceviche, rose lemonade, chicken slider, sea bass and Margherita pizza. We all agreed ceviche was bit salty for us, but I still liked it. I recommend sea bass even though portion was small. The service was good, and I have no complaint.
$30 bottomless and the food was amazing!! Oko was an amazing server and kept IG up with us and kept giving us driblings which is very kind lol
The *worst* charcuterie plate I have ever seen. It was served on a regular dinner plate with some hunks of cheese and slices of salami like you buy at the grocery store. We could not stop laughing at it. Pizza was bland. All of that plus two glasses of wine was >$100 bucks.
Our waiter Abraham went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We were celebrating a birthday and a speech/debate competition win and his great service and attention truly made our evening! Thank you Abraham, we will surely be back and request you as our server!
The bar tenders are well seasoned, but so are their drinks! Ask for a recommendation on a Friday night and youll be swept up in a tasteful adventure surely enjoyable to all those you being.Note: This is only for the bar on Friday night! If youre gonna eat here or come here at a less prime time, go sample another review!
Amazing entrees and desserts shared with good company 💜 winning combination.
Me and my daughter ordered 5 dishes. The chefs salmon, glazed pork belly, and stuffed mushrooms were very good. The Bacardi burger is quite good from burgers standpoint. However, the shrimp ceviche was only average. Overall, it was still a good dinner for .
Lovely place to both enjoy a date night or to have a good time with friends. The outdoor seating area is nice.We ordered small starters to share. The brussel sprouts and the stuffed mushrooms were really good. Highly recommend it. Also the bread pudding with ice cream was perfect.
Interesting selection of tapas style fare. A lot of drink options, including Coke products. The night we went, service was a little slow, and some of the hot items came to us luke warm. Food could have been a little more tasty if the seasoning was pushed a tad more. The best thing was we were able to enjoy a pretty nice dinner for about $50 (for 2, no alcohol). Overall, we feel we will return and try again.
Some co workers and I stopped here for lunch after a day of shopping. We throughly enjoyed. The ambience is cute, service is friendly and food was so flavorful and delicious. We ordered a variety of plates as it tapas style and everything was delicious.
Lior Hillel’s Israeli roots combine with Venetian cuisine in a tapas format. Confused? It all comes together nicely with rich flavors. We noticed several of dishes had similar overall tastes, but there’s plenty to choose from. The bread pudding tasted a bit underbaked. There is a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and service with a smile. Recommended for a lively experience.
Food was in reasonable portions and the food was with quality. However, one staff inputted a cocktail on my order and I had noticed it when I reviewed the second receipt. Issue I saw was that one of the workers were holding a weed pen and was smoking weed. Smell was all over the place. not acceptable. The other staff seemed confused and that they kept bringing the wrong food to our table.
Wonderful experience! Food was delicious and well presented. All the staff was friendly! Abraham was amazing and attentive! Carlos had great food recommendations! Will definitely be back!
Solid food and great service. Of the items i had, the only complaint i have is that the dough used in the pizzas falls short. Ive lived in new york for 10 years and am well aware of how light and airy pizza dough should be. Nevertheless, if you get the chance hit this place up.
The truffle mac and cheese was what made me leave this review. Who puts goat cheese in mac&cheese? Who then refuses to indicate this on the menu? That was repulsive. If the other menu items were good I would rethink leaving this review, but the smoked mushroom pizza, the spicy shrimp thing, salmon were all bad. Menu needs a major overhaul and whoever created the items needs to rethink their career.
My partner and I moved to Atwater Village after years in Silver Lake and Echo Park. We love this mall even though, well, its a mall. For years we ate at Katsuya, which was great and awful at the same time. Since that closed weve been adrift. Often times we just get Shake Shack out of despair. We tried out Bacari tonight after years of mocking it, but the people watching is exquisite. The service was very attentive which I wasnt expecting. They call it a tapas restaurant but really its just a "small plates" place, with pizza. The food was uninspired and the menu confused. I guess it works for them, it was crowded and always seems to be so.
We were walking Americana on our way to Frida when we saw this spot. I glanced at the menu and decided to pick this spot instead. We sat on patio side which was the appeal of the place. On colder nights there are heaters but on a warm & windy day, it’s perfect. The Chef salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. A good portion on top of what I believe was cous cous. The flavor was there and it was a great dish. The Glazed pork belly was my favorite dish and actually ordered it twice. Be aware it looks burnt but when you taste it, it’ll all make sense. The sauce and the pork being super tender is what made it phenomenal. I highly recommend this dish for sure.I ordered the Oven roasted bone marrow & the Smoked mushroom pizza. Both were on point with flavor and I added some of the bone marrow on top of the pizza to give it even more of a flavor punch. The pizza crust was baked perfectly and the mushroom flavor was good.I finished off the night with the Bread pudding and it definitely hit the spot after all the plates. It was baked perfectly and the ice cream complimented the dessert. The best bread pudding I’ve ever tasted.Overall a great dining experience and our server was excellent. We’d definitely come back to this spot and try their other menu items.
Food was deceptively disappointing. My wife & I had VERY high hopes when we looked at the menu and made reservations. The menu *LOOKS* like it was written by a top tier chef, but in person it all tastes like it was thrown together by amateurs. The produce in some of my dishes was almost fast food grade, and most of my food was over cooked or under chopped or oversauced. We tried 7 dishes and every single one wasnt inedible per se, but there was at least one significant element that was off about them considering the three figures in our bill. You can get much higher quality food in the area for $100.I will say the atmosphere was good and the servers were fast and friendly. The food was a miss for the price point though, there are FAR better restaurants around with similar food like Eden On Brand.
Weve come here twice. They offer a seasonal menu of tapas. They recommend ordering 2-3 plates per person to share. Its really hard to limit what you order because everything looks so good. If youre coming here on the weekend for brunch, reservations are highly recommended.
Everything on the menu sounded amazing but didnt deliver. It felt very much like a well trained chef created the menu and its been executed by amateurs we were disappointed and had very high hope. Service was good and ambiance was pleasant. Not worth a second visit
Stopped by on a whim and so glad we did! The food was delicious, and so were the drinks. Our favorites were the Royal Blood cocktail and the Pilpelchuma shrimp. We also had the sweetest server, Sonia, who was so attentive and gave us great recommendations. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent craft cocktails with fresh herbs. Tapas are creative and delicious. We tried the shrimp ceviche (fennel made it superb). We followed with ricotta and beet gnocchi which was heavenly and full of innovative elements. And finally the smoked mushroom pizza was beyond description. We definitely liked it and surely will be back soon. If you like good cocktails and a foodie, dont miss this place.
Amazing!Limited spirits available but fabulous cocktails with what they had.The service was greatAnd the food was killer, every bite was so fabulous, we kept ordering more.
Very good service and very good tapas bar. Wines are amazing and food are so good. However, check the bill, it has this 4% "optional service fee" that is not optional since it was added to my bill. Not a big deal but still.... Weird
Quick SummaryGood food, service, and ambiance. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. The main highlight was the pork bellyFood- 4 starsShrimp ceviche- this was okay. probably wouldnt order againSea bass- not the best either. Fish was quite dry and not the best with the flavorGlazed pork belly- this was the best dish of the day. Pretty balanced with the sweetness of the sauce, fattiness of the pork, and topped with the lemon for aciditiySmoked mushroom pizza- this was pretty good. Its pretty basic with the flavors, as its mainly cheesy, buttery goodnessService- 4 starsOur server was pretty good and attentive. It did feel like the servers were understaffed and left alone on an island waiting multiple tables, so it can be slow at timesAmbiance- 5 starsPretty cool outdoor seating at the Americana. Perfect for people-watchingBottom LineFood was decent, but the ambiance and location were nice. Pork belly and pizza were my favorites here
This is a small restaurant with very good food! There is plenty of variety as well,There’s wine from South Africa, Margarita pizza, and fried chicken sliders. It is also very covid safe, I really recommend this restaurant if you have the chance.
Came out for a nice dinner with family while in Glendale for a wedding. Theyre very familiar with the Americana and Bacari, so knew to make a reservation in advance. Was immediately greeted by the hostess and our table was waiting. Theres a few tables inside, but a majority of the tables are on the outside. Although it was a chilly night, the outside tables are in an open tent with plenty of outdoor patio heaters.Waitress immediately came over to take the drink orders, explain the menu, and answer any questions. Since its tapas, everyone just called out any items that caught their eye as well as ordered a few recommendations. Everything sounded good, but we had the sabich, rainbow beet salad, Bacari fries, bone marrow, cauliflower, stuffed mushrooms, chicken sliders, and pork belly. Food was brought out as they were made, so it naturally gave you time to work on a few dishes before more were brought out. It was a nice team effort of various servers and food runners bringing food out, refilling drinks, and asking if we needed anything. All the tapas were fresh, plated nicely, and very good. Hard to pick a favorite as each had its unique purpose and role in the overall meal. The dishes didnt compete with one another, but more complemented each other. Tapas are always a perfect way to share different dishes over drinks and great conversation. The food, environment, and service made for a great evening out with family.
This place is way over rated。 have dinner with a girl friend over there last Thursday, it is crowed, so we have to sit outside.First time over there, dont know what to order, the waitress recommand sea bass, she said their food portions is small, recommand 3 dishes per person, my friend got the pizza, I ordered the mussels and mac and cheese~sea bass is over cook and tasteless like chewing paper, mussels~never see any mussels that tiny in my life before. I need an manifi glass to locate the meat inside the shells, and it has no flavour too, mac and cheese has no favor, the brussels looks better than its tast…also seating outside the food gets cold fast, the pizza gets cold and hard to bite, disappointed!
Had a fun post birthday dinner with friends at this “small plates” restaurant at the American at Brand.Outdoor seating was not bad as long as you don’t mind the sound of cars passing along Brand Blvd and the heavy stream of people walking along the sidewalk going to and from the Americana. The staff was very friendly and the food was delightful. Come between 2:30-6:30 M-F, to avail of their Happy Hour discounts on food and drinks. Will be coming back here again to try their other pizzas and plates.
Just went here for brunch FRIENDLY TIP their entire menu is available, even during brunch, in addition to their brunch menu.Stuffed mushrooms 8/10Mussels 9/10Brussels Sprouts 8/10Cheese/Meat Tray 7/10Pork Belly 9/10Gorgonzola Pasta 8/10Can’t wait to come again and try the rest of their menu. Loved this place. Great service and food came out swiftly
Sat outside, had two servers and both were great. Had the seabass, muscles, and drinks. Food is tapas style and very tasty. Such a fun night, highly recommended!
I came here for my 3 year anniversary with my other half and it was a wonderful experience. Grace M was our waitress and she was awesome. We had the margarita pizza, cauliflower, Mac n cheese, pasta with chicken and chicken sliders. My god everything was delicious. The sliders were soooo good. For dessert, we ate the ice cream with bread pudding. Perfect way to finish the night. Highly recommend.
If you’re around the area you should definitely check them out! I had an amazing pasta and falafels, my friend had the stuffed mushrooms, they are worth every penny! We had to order pizza from them later that day!😂
GREAT HAPPY HOUR- we just went for happy hour. Overall the menu is super reasonable and drinks plentiful. Our waitress Noel was sweet and welcoming. The Pizza, Salad, and Mushrooms were awesome. The bacon wrapped dates and the mussels - not bad, but not our favorite. Will definitely go back- really enjoyed it.
Where do I begin?! There’s nothing like coming to a restaurant and knowing that there’s nothing you would do different to each dish. The flavor alone will have me coming back here! The late-night happy hour didn’t hurt either! ;)A special shout out to our amazing server Kory! He made our experience that much more enjoyable!
First visit and we fell in love with the food and service. Their stuffed mushroom is the best and all other items were also very good. They have loads of cocktails and spirits on the menu as well.
Seating is a little bit of a cluster. Once seated the service is really good, but getting drinks is slow. Food was really good and timely.
First time visiting and the portions were decent in size and the food was great. My favorites were the crab cake Benedict and the Noas Cauliflower.
We sat at the outside patio and enjoyed drinks and dinner. With four of us, we were able to try more of the dishes. The food was fabulous except the tacos took an extremely long time to come out. I think they forgot our order. That is the only reason Im giving 4 stars. Customer service was good as they were packed. Be sure to make reservations.
From the initial greetings, to the great service and amazing food, its ALWAYS a treat to come here (usually the go-to place for any excuse to celebrate something 😋)
Wow! Just wow! Everything from establishment to the service...well and of course the food! Tapas style but boy these arent small plates really lol Stopped in here after a long day of riding around sight seeing and what a place!
Great small plates, perfect for sharing. Mediterranean flavours done tapas style. Wish we were a bigger crowd as many dishes look mouth watering.
Food great, tapas style.Service: What is the point to make the reservation if you can’t have a decent table.
Great Spanish/Mediterranean food restaurant. We came here for dine LA restaurant to sample some good food here. They offer small Tapa style dishes to sample. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. It has great vibes and great view into the street next to the Americana mall. Our waiter is great and provided us excellent services. We ordered cauliflower, spicy pasta, egg Benedict, burger and port belly. Out of all these dishes, We particularly like the spicy pasta. The restaurant also offers extensive wine selection and excellent cocktail choices. Parking is easy, we just park in the Americana mall and got another hour of validation from the restaurant.
Amazing outdoor patio, you can eat and drink all the while enjoying the beautiful weather of LA.The staff was very considerate about accommodating my enumerate allergies. The food tastes amazing (check out their fries with eggs and bacon on top),the ambiance is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend it to people who want to enjoy a warm talk with their friends over a tasty dinner.
Delicious tapas and wood stone pizzas. We absolutely loved the rainbow beet salad. The Brussel sprouts was also memorable because the cream sauce was excellent. The smoked crimini mushroom pizza was also perfect, but keep in mind all plates, including the pizzas, are small to medium in size.If you’re a grown man, with an appetite, you could easily house a pizza, and an appetizer by yourself.
Had an enchanting date night here. The ambiance was sexy mood lighting, with cozy seating. Each plate of food was stellar and burst our bellies with warm happiness. Everything was seasoned to perfection, from truly unforgettable brussel sprouts to the comfiest truffle-y mac-n-cheese. Even the Malbec was wonderful and went down the throat super easy. It was a chill environment with small but very satisfying gourmet plates. MmmmmmmMmmm!
Nice brunch served tapas style. The brussel sprouts were our favorite. The margherita pizza was also good. Service was also prompt and pleasant. I prefer this location to the LA restaurant.
Went there for a friends birthday, we got there early to take advantage of the happy hour (ends at 6:30pm on Saturday). They have great selection of drinks and food on the happy hour menu. My fav is the burrata cheese with freshly ground pesto sauce. Very delicious and refreshing.
Came in for dineLA but instead just decided to order the tapas separately. The brussel sprouts tasted very creamy, just wished it could have been more crispy. The lobster and crab Mac and cheese was on point - right amount of cheesiness and meat. Expect the green lip mussels to be those big mussels not like the wimpy black ones. The lamb chops came in 3 little cute lollipop shapes - smaller than what I expected but tasted good nonetheless. The duck wings were sauced perfectly. Overall the experience was wonderful, friendly staff and good food.
