Babe's Bakery - Bakery in Grants Pass, United States
77 me and my wife love this place and she wanted she likes to cinnamon rolls and the other stuff so thats why we go there Im sure glad Dave is there thank you for your service and see you later bye
The Destroyers bagel was delicious. And the drink as well. Great customer service
The Italian style sandwich was delish!! The cream puff however was mediocre. No flavor in the cream at all, pastry itself was ok and chocolate icing good.
Been here three times and try something different but just as delicious every time. Definitely recomendable!
We love the food, quality is excellent, price is so modest for the amount of food you get, this is a place you dont want to miss, we come every year on vacation and travel one hour to get more every couple of days DONT MISS OUT ON THIS TREAT
really friendly staff and tasty pastries! they had vegan/gf options that tasted great! definitely writing this place down as a necessary stop on I5
I am soooo not happy!😔I ordered half a sandwich on sourdough. Was told by the person behind the counter that they were out of sourdough! I asked about soup, the guy behind the counter told me they dont have any more soup for the "season".....say WHAAAAAT???? The total was $9+ tip! I was sure i would get at least a bag of chips with that, but, thats what i get for doin my own thinkin! The cook walked out with only a small rolled up sandwich in her hand. There was hardly any meat on it, mostly doughy bread and condiments! There were signs that i am sure were meant to b funny but they werent, in fact they were offensive, to me anyway! The signs showed the mentality of the establishment!😔I will not return nor do i recommend Babes Bakery! Sorry.....👎👎👎UPDATE: Received the explanation from Babes as to why i was not happy with my sandwich. I will address the "lack of sourdough due to it being afternoon", making bread in house and being out. I was not there in the afternoon. And i would hav taken a sandwich on day old bread for a buck or two off!☺️Babess stated their products are guaranteed or money back. Awkward! Who wants to tackle that situation when yu are hungry and had your heart set on good food right then! After reading the snarky signs on the wall such as "No Bitchin in My Kitchen" i was a bit nervous as to how to take that if i was to complain. Mayb get some "surprise" in my food the next time!🤢I think yu know what i mean here!Babes didnt address the lack of product on the sandwich, which they had done with a customer with the same complaint about 2 years ago. Guess that hasnt been fixed yet as they stated it would! 🤨 I saw no sign saying "Guaranteed or your hard earned $$$ back"!!!I hav noticed as a regular rater of fine dining, that Merchants no longer make their comments short and sweet, nor do they offer a free sandwich or at the very least, 1/2 price off your next one! They always offer excuses why nothing was right! FYI...if a merchant would just apologize and say " Hey! We want yu back! Next sandwich is on us! " How hard is that? Oh, i know what they will say! "I cant do that! Everyone will complain!" Well, my answer for that is, use your filters! Yu know how to spot that! Great customer service is going away like the dinosaurs! So sad for the consumer! I dont want excuses, i want good food, fair portions, with excellent service with a smile! How hard can that be?!?!?!?My husband and i were in business and so i know a little of what i am talking about! Our moto was an old fashioned one, (within reason and common sense, of course),"The customer is right!" Both will win everytime! It worked for us! 👍☺️
This place is awesome.. really good food And a cute and pleasant environment. We took the Babes Combo. half a sandwich and salad. Loved it, we will definitely be back soon. The sandwich I got was the Veggie Babe and the Kicker Salad ..
I ordered a white cake with cream cheese frosting for my daughters birthday and it was SO delicious! The raspberry filling tasted fresh and the cake overall wasnt too sweet. Everyone at the party commented on how good it was. Thank you!
Good sandwich, but the turkey seemed to have gotten lost in the lettuce and other toppings. I will try again, however!
First time visitor. A little disconcerting when arriving anyplace new to eat to find an ambulance parked out front :). They have to eat too! Have to say, Im very glad we stopped. We each ordered a sandwich and a pastry. A full sandwich is a lot. Both were delicious. Very friendly staff, quick service. Would definitely stop again once were hungry again !
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, highly recommend! Place was very busy, but the service was still fast and efficient. Coffee was great too! We will be going back soon!
Great food. Cinnamon roll needs to be warmed up more. Croutons is delicious.
Out of town visitor enticed by a breakfast sandwich called "Destroyer". Yummmm. Substantial as shown in the pic and delicious. Not likely to need lunch. Good thing I dont live here...this place would be a challenge for my waistline. I think I gained weight just looking at the display case.
Great place...love the items here..baked goods like Cinnamon rolls, muffins, cupcakes, Macroons, cheesecake, cookies, bagels et cetera.. Outstanding fresh made bagel sandwiches and burritos.
Veggie babe is huge and filling . Bread is the highlight of the meal. We called ahead about an hour before, and that worked out because they had run out of bread by the time we go there; but our sandwiches were ready since they were pre-ordered :)
Good flavors in the bacon salad with almond sub for walnut and good sandwich, Employees seemed a little tense; however I noticed there was no music playing which made the ambiance non existent. The German chocolate cupcake was devine.
Lots of different options for food, dessert, drinks (hot, cold and bottled pastries and sandwiches. Seating area was clean. Staff was nice and friendly. I would have loved a bit more flavor in my lemon Poppy seed muffin but it was yummy. And the refrigerator fan in the seating area for the cold drinks was pretty loud. Otherwise I enjoyed a lovely seat inside and enjoyed a nice breakfast.
Walked from our overnight RV park to pick up breakfast. We had the breakfast burrito, a breakfast sandwich on whole wheat seeded bagel. I also picked up half a veggie sandwich for later. Also couldnt resist all the delicious looking pastries. I only nibbled so far on the morning glory muffin. Very tasty. Staff was very friendly, a steady stream of people at the drive through and inside. Portions are very generous and everything was very appetizing. Definitely worth a stop and will do so on my next stop in Grants Pass
Probably some of the best breakfast sandwhiches on the west coast.
One of the best sandwiches that I had in a while. I had Katie and my husband got the tommy pastrami sandwich. So so good!
I love this place! The prices seem steep, but the portions and quality make it worth it. Most things on the menu can easily feed 2 people. I highly recommend the veggie boom for breakfast and the ninja kick for lunch!
Wandered in and immediately received friendly service. After a quick intro to the "sammamish"? I required no more explanations. A giant pastry that had the soft and fluffy texture of challah, neatly wrapped around cheddar, jalapeños, and perfectly crisp strip of bacon. Honestly, a relatively simple meal yet one of the most memorable breakfasts Ive experienced in awhile. Babes 🙌
Very friendly staff and the food was very amazing! The sandwiches have a lot of good quality meat and tastes fresh! Just all around delicious!
The fresh bread they sell here is delicious. I found this place while looking for a place that made bread from scratch, without all of the normal additives.
We bought some individual slices of cake to celebrate my b day. They were just what I wanted...rich and gooey. The staff behind the counter was excellent and very friendly. They have a drive thru window as well that I have never used but always has cars in line
Veggie babe sandwich was wonderful. HUGE portion. I was there on a Saturday around noon and a lot of the baked goods were gone, so if you want a good selection, go early. You can walk in or go thru drive thru. Clean, single bathrooms.
Fantastic atmosphere, super cute. The baked goods have some gluten free options and are all vegan. The menu is a little less allergy friendly, there arent gf or dairy free options to sub in but you can still get a smoothie or salad. Or get your sandwich lettuce wrapped 😅
Bagel sandwiches are incredible. Coffee is good. Service is great. My only complaint would be the cookies. They’re very large and look tasty. Maybe it’s just my taste, but the texture was kind of cakey and it tasted a bit like baking soda. Not the worst cookies, but I was disappointed.
I highly recommend Babes Bakery. They have several choices of huge sandwiches that never disappoint, bomb soups, and an amazing variety of baked goods. The staff is always incredibly friendly and you can tell everyone is working hard. The best bakery in Southern Oregon in my opinion. Pesto perfecto toasted is always my go-to for lunch!
I gave them 2 stars because the mocha tasted okay. Not too friendly. Theyre way over priced, and although their menu boasts a large selection of muffins, they only had 2 kinds at 7 am. Made me wonder if their other items were so limited as well. 16 oz mocha and apple oat muffin $8.50
Stopped in last Saturday and ordered the breakfast croissant. Mmmm...yummy.Staff were kind and all had smiles. As far as price...for $22.00: breakfast croissant w/avocado, coffee, an Izzy and smoothie to go....plus a generous tip.Id say that was pretty darn good everything.Today, decided to stop in again and waa-laa...really nice staff, fast service, great food...$13.00 for breakfast burrito and coffee.Would definitely suggest Babes!!!!
Great treats, especially their wonderful scones. However I left the bakery empty hand, the other day. Two scones were in the case. I asked what flavor. The girl reaches in, picks one up and eyeballs it. No gloves, nor tissue. Calling her on it, she said, I washed my hands and besides we make our bakery items without gloves. I said, but you are handling money. Maybe some people dont care, but I did and I know my family does.
It was my first time trying their food and I was pleasantly surprised. Im glad I only ordered a half of a sandwich as it was more than filling. I would recommend them to everyone and look forward to my next order.
Wow this isa hidden gem. Breakfast sandwich with bagel or croissant are delicious. I recommend the garlic or plain bagel. The bread is perfect, slightly crunchy, soft on the inside. The sandwiches are a flavor explosion. The Gods Fist, Veggie Boom, Croissant are all recommended. Fresh ingredients, made to order. Allow 5 minutes for your sandwich. The cinnamon rolls and Dutch Apple bar are delicious. Smooth and creamy, amazing. Cinnamon rolls are warmed up in a warmer, crunchy and perfect.Self serve coffee and tea. Plenty of drink options in the coolerPlenty of comfortable seating now that theyre expanded. Group of eight is doable if you call ahead. Also a great place for solo dining as they have bar stools. Six skinny people could squeeze in the two booths.
My daughter, who has worked as a professional baker in restaurants, bought strawberry & raspberry/blueberry cupcakes this morning from Babes for my granddaughters 6th birthday. These are THE BEST cupcakes we have ever eaten. The cake was moist, fluffy, sweet, springy, and delicious. The frosting is to DIE for, so creamy, smooth, sweet, but not too sweet, it melted in our mouths. Both the cupcakes and the frosting were made with FRESH FRUIT! We cannot wait to find any excuse to go back to Babes Bakery.
This place is amazing. They have the best sandwiches Ive ever tasted and theyre portions are the size of your head. My only complaint is that they arent open longer in the day so I can further savor and enjoy their ranchy ultimate pork sandwiches.
One star. They dont post breakfast hours on their website or anywhere else it seems. I ordered a sandwich, 2 cookies and and strawberry banana smoothie. I received the sandwich and an orange flavored smoothie. Very disappointing, I should have double checked that I had everything but they handed it out and said thanks & closed the deive thru window. Already heard some disappointing rumors about how they treat their employees as well, this was just additional proof not to bother with this place again.
I have been here often and always been happy with items Ive purchased, however it was a different story today. I ordered a 1/2 grilled cheese (without pepper jack). When my order arrived there was a single slice of cheddar cheese on two very large pieces of bread that were smeared with some cream cheese. So disappointing ☹️
Oh, Babe. YES! That bakery menu is perfect - divided into columns of Sweet and Savory. The fresh baked bread, artfully used to create scrumptious sandwiches. My husband had the smoothie, blended fresh fruit and it was just what we needed to finish the meal. If there was anything left I would have posted photos!
Super nice workers.Veggie sandwich, chips, drink and a slice of cheesecake was $26. A side of Mayo was $1.75.Pretty pricey.I doubt I’ll go back.My sandwich (hummus hipsterwas dry and lacking. The bread was good, but not $26 good.I had high hopes :(
Destroyer- Best breakfast sandwich eaten on the west coast….hands down!I ordered it with everything bagel - and the bagels itself was fabulous, this was a very fat breakfast sandwich. Filled with homemade bacon that has artisan salt, deli style ham, scrambled eggs (about a 3 large egg equivalent), sweet peppers (really complemented the bacon and ham flavors), along with their special sauces brought this sandwich over the top!
This bakery makes delicious bagel sandwiches and the sweets they make are mouth watering. Very friendly atmosphere. They have a convenient drive thru window and you can call ahead and place an order before you get there. I would have given them a 5 star but we decided to go in and sit down. The drive thru was so busy that they forgot our order for several minutes.
I walked to this bakery and was a little disappointed by their prices, $14 for a sandwich, But after I got back to my truck I saw it was a generously sized sandwich on beautiful bread. It was worth it. I got the veggie babe and it was delicious. I also got the blackberry cream cheese bar and it was otherworldly. Their bakery is amazing and if Im in the area Ill be back again!
This was my second time at Babes Bakery and both times I have been WOWed by the service received by the employees and shown that they truly care about their customers. The sandwiches are huge but also very delicious and enough to split with someone or save for another meal.
As soon as you come off the exit 58 for grants pass this beautiful bend of baked goods and breaded sandwiches in swirl with savory treats and smoothies. I bought a Bellas hot babe. . . Listen, a while sandwich is the size of a plate!! This ginormous sandwich is enough for you to eat on two separate meals or spilt with a sweet date. :)The baked goodies are just as good as they look! And the smoothies are a perfect way to alkaline the arteries and attributes of one self. These women have my vote! I will definitely be back. Upon finishing this read, I ask. What is it you think I should try next off the menu this week!
My wife and I really enjoyed a leisurely breakfast here. The staff was excellent and we loved the variety of the menu offerings. I had "The Destroyer" breakfast sandwich: Ham, Bacon, scrambled egg, cream cheese, and pepperoncinis on a bagle. Fantastic!
Total hidden gem! Were visiting from out of town and stopped here on an impulse hunger decision. NO REGRETS!!!! Holy hell their portions are more then generous. We got a cupcakes, a burritos, and a few sandwiches. Everything was great quality and we are stuffed. The bread was holy hell!.. my kids are picky and they both devoured their sandwiches.Looking at it from street view it doesnt look like much because of the bank and drive thru aspect of it but what an awesome surprise. Their staff was super sweet and even brought our food out to the car for us. I noticed some people getting annoyed that the drive thru wasnt moving quick enough but lemme make this clear... this isnt a heat and assemble sort of place they are cooking your food fresh with love from the kitchen and thats what makes it so good. Will definitely be coming back and recommending. Thank you Babes for an amazing brunch.
Great place for some high quality, medium price food. I got the "Babe" sandwich, for like $12 and a Yerba mate to go with it. Half the sandwich was all I could eat! So good... they put pesto on some of their sandwiches and it is to die for. Seriously, go get yourself a nice healthy sandwich if you are in the area.
Pretty good baked goods. Only got to try cupcakes, if you come later in the day a lot of the baked goods are sold out. They must be incredible cause this has happened twice. I wasn’t disappointed with the cupcake just not what I was hoping to find. Quick service and easy in and out location.
