Upscale-casual Italian chain serving pasta, grilled dishes, pizza & cocktails amid Roman-ruin decor.
What a bummer this place was this weekend. Service was average and that’s being generous. “Calamari” was rubbery yet somehow still undercooked, tasted like it was microwaved. Alfredo sauce was watery, like none of the pasta had sauce on it by the time it made it to the table, it had all dripped down to the bottom of the plate into a puddle. I remember the food at bravo being so much better but maybe that was when I was a kid and hadn’t eaten at as many local family owned restaurants that take pride in how good their food is. Not going back here, so many better options.
First experience here was very trying, the waiter was very rude and didn’t seem like he wanted to wait on my guest and I. The only thing that saved this visit from being a 1 star to a 3 is my meal. I had the NEW YORK STRIP27.99choice aged 14 oz, yukon gold mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus. The food was off the chain I’ll give you that. Unfortunately because of the waiter I don’t think I’ll be back It was very upsetting to feel unwelcomed.
After reading other low rated reviews there seems to be a trend: long wait time, warm/cold food, bad waiter/waitress, etc. Speaking from my own personal experience these comments are not far off. I reserved a table for Valentine’s Day which was busy as expected and understandable, but the service we received was not. My wife, 2 daughters and I were put at a table that wobbled back and fourth and spilled our drinks from the beginning. Since our waiter, Mitchell didn’t come back for 15-20 minutes after getting our drinks, I spoke with the front desk. They sent a gentleman who came with some towels to even the table out, but ended up making it worse. After 2 failed attempts he looked me in the eye and said,” that’s all I got,” and walked away. I removed one towel and the table was just perfect, so I essentially had to do his job for him. Our waiter was very busy with other tables so we get that he may have been overworked, but after walking past our table several times after asking others if they needed refills, I got a bit irritated. I got his attention and finally got a refill for our bread that was very crunchy, so we immediately put in our orders since we didn’t know when we would see our waiter again. Our food finally came out, and we sat for about 5 minutes waiting on our silverware since they were not provided to us upon arrival. The same gentleman who attempted to fix the table, offered to go get us silverware, surprise, he didn’t go get it at all, he continued to serve other tables. We eventually began eating, and the food was great. By the end of the night and the exhausting experience, it was almost disrespectful for them to ask us if we wanted dessert, it’s almost like asking us,”what else can we get wrong for you on your special night.” I gave it two stars because my wife loved this place, but I highly doubt she will ask to go again for any occasion. My recommendation, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Saturday night my significant other and I decided to try Bravo! and we were not disappointed what so ever. Our server had a huge table and still kept us in mind, he suggested an appetizer and a couple entrees. Everything was amazing. Well worth it for a date night or special occasion!
This was a nice elegant place. Server was very nice and attentive. I got the lasagna and it was pretty greasy, but yummy. I also got strawberry lemonade and it was delicious. Overall, nice experience.
This was our first time eating here and we were not very happy. The waitress took our order for drinks right away and brought us water but didn’t tell us she would be back after awhile with our coffee so my husband even asked if I had ordered. When she did come she took our order but we had to sit and wait for sometime for our food to arrive. Because of the coat we thought the food would be better. It was VERY salty! Almost to the point that my husband could hardly tolerate his. Our server didn’t come back to offer us more coffee until we’ll after our food had arrived. When we left, I saw that some mints were sitting way away from the door but none had been offered to us. Poor service and poor food.
Food was amazing. Our server how ever did not seem to be in a hurry one bit. We told her we had a timeline and needed our checks and to head out fairly quickly and thus process took her forever. We barely made it to our event on time and her overall service showed that she seemed unsure. Maybe she was new? Otherwise, everything else was great!
Restaurant is nicely appointed. Food was not very good. Chopped salad was wilted and tasted old. Served bowl of pasta with about 5 salad shrimp and fettuccine with a few tiny shrimp. Tab without any drinks or dessert over $50. Not good! Server was pleasant. Would not return.
This was my first time at Bravo and I was impressed. We were there slightly after lunch hour and it wasnt too crowded. First impressions were great. The restaurant was very upscale, they had a nice bar and I enjoyed seeing about 5 chefs in the kitchen. The waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. I had the lobster ravioli which also had some shrimp on top. The other dish was the grilled shrimp it was excellent. We had a house bottle of wine and the minestrone soup was very good.
A little on the expensive side. Otherwise worth coming here. I ordered a house salad and Lobster Bisque. And also the rolls on the side were delicious
Being empty nesters, my wife and I eat out a lot and are always eager to try new places (we dont live in the Grand Rapids area but visit the area at least 2 times a week). We liked the atmosphere and were encouraged that we may have found a new place for Italian food. My wife ordered the lasagna that she said was good and I had the pork chops. While the pork chops had decent flavor they were dry to the point that I was taking a sip of water with every bite of food. The asparagus was good but a bit salty. We felt that for the price of the meals the portions are a bit small. Our waiter never checked on us once our food came out and I finally stoped another employee to get my wife a refill of her pop. Not real sure if we would visit again. Maybe just an off night??
Server was awesome, great personality. Atmosphere cool. Food mediocre. I’ve had better pizza at a bowling alley near me. Pasta was dry. Doubtful we will be back.
Went here twice in a week (once on Friday 8pm and again Tuesday 7pm). Both times food was terrible and service was subpar. The fried ravioli came out totally burnt with barely any cheese left inside. My aunts fettuccine had no sauce on it and was completely dry. Came back a few days later, purely based on convenience of location. I ordered a chopped salad and it was supposed to come out with grilled chicken and Gorgonzola and the server brought it out plain- just lettuce! 😳 I gave a chain a chance but I won’t be back anytime soon which is too bad because I do like the atmosphere.
My family and I went here for my brothers wedding reception and it was a fantastic time. We had the private room at the end which seated about 30 people. The food was very delicious and the staff was PERFECT! I was very impressed with all the wait staff who tended to us.
Food was good. Meatballs were a bit salty for my taste, but still good. Hostess seemed like she was having a bad day, and was overall inattentive. Took a queue of multiple parties before attention was given to anyone. Service was poor in general, for only having about 7-8 tables dining. Check delivered midway through meal, but took about 15 minutes after meal was finished to take the bill and offer a box. Drinks were remained empty throughout the meal.
Pasta dishes are incredible. The meatballs were piping hot and delicious. The house salad was a disappointment all around, I wouldnt recommend. The downside was having our entrees delivered immediately after our salads. The server was delightful though and made it a good overall experience.
Very good service. Our waiter "Kevin" had a fun personality, very friendly and interactive with our table. Food was served "Hot" and fresh. The double porkchop was very tender with just the right amount of sauce. Great flavor! Enjoyed a happy hour drink with friends. The Manhattan was very good.
Been here several times and the service is great however, can be slow and delayed when busy. You get yummy dinner rolls while you wait, house margaritas are good and kids serving sizes are awesome - good size. Salmon and pork chop dinner was delicious!
Went out to bravo this past Friday and had excellent service as well as delicious food! I can’t remner the name of our waitress but she made the experience a 5 star one! She was attentive, very sweet, and took the time (we came close to closingto get pictures of my boyfriend and I. If I see her the next time I come, I will definitely request her as our server. Our food came out quickly, was cooked well, and was tasty! Happy customer!!!
Good environment and open atmosphere. Excellent food - strongly recommend the Tiramisu
Family of 4 with reservations. Appetizer order and delivered in a timely manner. We would have been even happier had they delivered the appetizer we ordered. We all ordered 4 different meals. If you are a big eater I suggest you order bread and salad with your meal. Out of 4 dinners one was so extremely dry they took it home. I do not think Olive Garden has anything to worry about.
We werent planning on eating here but we werent sorry we did! The waiter was very attentive and friendly, I wish I remembered his name but he was very concerned about our comfort and checked on us frequently. The drinks here were also phenomenal and the food was good. I wouldnt say the best Italian Ive ever had, but still really good. But the drinks though, mmmm.
Came here for our team holiday lunch, party of 20 people. menu was restricted i believe , which is kind of nice, less confusion. Food was super delicious, everyone loved it, our server was sweet. Nice to have gluten free option. Salad was spot on, rightly seasoned, pasta was lipsmaking 😋. Mozzarella appetizer is super good. All in all loved the place, good for office party as were given separate place.
Decent food, but far too salty. Wait time was a bit long even though there wasnt hardly anyone there.
Had a party of 35 people on Sunday, Dec 2nd, 2018. The experience was really good (according to my family (I was not in attendance)). Everybody was happy with the food and the waiter/waitress service was great. Thank you Chris for making helping make this a success on such short notice! Eric
Started with a nice cheese dip with honey which was amazing than the Pasta Bravo which was very delicious nice size portion than came dessert the seasonal dessert was a warm cake with gelato topped with fresh berries was amazing than the crèm brüle it was amazing I would recommend this too anyone while waiting I had a raspberry mojito made with fresh raspberries and it was amazing so was the Italian mule I had definitely on my top 10 list!!!!
Love his place! The food and the atmosphere is wonderful. My sister and I have both had our birthday dinners here. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Todd, great waiter. Great food and service. Desserts are a must.
First experience meeting our son there for his birthday. We each ordered soup and salads to begin with. The lobster bisque was very good. I had the eggplant parm which was good, but a bit too much mozzarella for my liking. Our son and hubby both had lobster ravioli with vodka sauce which is normally a little spicy, however the sauce needed a little more flavor. The waitress was nice, but at the end of our meal cleared everything including our water glasses which I thought was odd because we were still visiting.
We went there for the first time tonight. There were a couple of issues with our meals, no big deal, that happens. Our waiter, Todd, and management went out of their ways to apologize and make things right. I appreciated it and felt like we mattered as customers. Food was good. Atmosphere was very pleasant. All staff were friendly.
First experience was not the greatest. However the manager Chris called and asked us to give them a chance to make it right. Not only was the food amazing tonight but our waiter Todd was the best weve ever had! We will definitely be going back soon and requesting Todds section! Great place to bring your family with great food!
Love the food and always have a great time
Great experience from beginning to end. Service and food was impeccable. Must have the caramel marscapone cheesecake.
Very nice facility. Great atmosphere. Decent service. Nothing to write home about in terms of food. How can a bowl of seafood pasta be flavorless??? Well, they have got the formula. Chicken Marsala... I have tasted a lot better. This was my first and probably last time, unless it is a summer (wine visitto their patio, which by the way looks very nice.
Great food. Great service. Made us some special orders and was easy.
Great food and even better service! Yes - its a chain and interestingly enough, one that doesnt serve draft beer! Imagine being in Beer City, USA and not a tap in sight! That said, they do have a decent wine selection and an assortment of bottled brew - just not a very good selection of local suds. Enough about drinks - this is a restaurant after all and yes they do indeed serve food. Very good Italian food at that.
My parents absolutely love the eggplant Parmesan at this place. They like it so much that we might change our plans if theyre craving it. It is delicious. Ive tried a few other dishes, and theyre pretty good. The Ambiance is really nice in here. I love the low lighting, and temperature has never been a problem. Weve had some peculiar wait staff experiences, but nothing bad.
We had a late lunch here on a week day. The atmosphere was very nice and clean. Service was excellent. Salads and pizza were very good, the pastas seemed a bit bland though. It was also pretty pricey. 80 bucks for 4 of us with no drinks. I would still recommend it though.
Amazing and elegant service, atmosphere and food! It’s a great place for a dinner date or for a smaller group. (8 or lessThe menu has a good set of options for everyone. (If you are wondering why a pork chop is on the menu - it’s because it is amazing). You must save room for dessert! The Creme brûlée is the best I’ve ever had!
The food and service is exquisite. Bread is served along with an oil infused with what tasted like sun dried tomatoes. Nice wine list for those that enjoy wine. It was a brunch time for myself so we did not partake in the bar menu at all. The food selections were well rounded and seemed to cater to all needs. It took a little work to make a plate vegan but nothing a true vegan is not already used to having to do. All 5 of us dining had a different plate and although there was sampling, no one was disappointed they did not order something different. The prices for food are around the 15$ mark with some of the more elaborate meals topping out around 25$ (fillet). Will definitely be going again but for the price, it will wait for another birthday celebration in 2-3 months.
Been here a few times now and have loved it every time! The food is delicious and the service is always good! We recently had my sister-in-laws bridal shower in their banquet room and it was perfect! They had plenty of menu packages for a great price point! And the wait staff that set up was so helpful and willing to set it up however we wanted. Also, the whole restaurant is absolutely beautiful, no decorating needed! I would recommend this place for sure!
Another new favorite!!!! We went for our anniversary and they did not disappoint!!!! Great food, wonderful ambiance and the service was impeccable! We have been back and will continue to!
Higher than average prices are well worth it here. The food is amazingly delicious and the staff are very courteous. I recommend the veal parmesan
Nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. I booked here for my Bridal Brunch in May and was very pleased with the service I received. The banquet room was a decent size....PERFECT for my party size of 28ppl. Manny, the service manager was AMAZING!!!! He was great with responding via email in the days leading to my event and greeted me upon arrival to make sure that the room was set up to my liking. I left my bridal shower and went directly to my bachelorette party out of town and wasnt able to look over my receipt until a week later and realized that I was charged for a few things I shouldnt have been. I called Manny up with my concerns ....he looked over the bill with me, apologized and I had the credited amount back on my card before the end of the week. Just amazing. The food was also very good and presented in the nicest way. Cant wait to return to have dinner in the main dining area, Im sure it would be just as great an experience.
Great food. Our server was friendly and on top of everything. When I couldnt decide on a drink, she recommended the Strawberry Fresca and it was delicious. My husband was a fan of their old fashioneds. The star of dinner was their beef medallions, but the chicken we had was delicious, too. Top it off with a cannoli crumble and it was an excellent meal.
Good service...Funny though was asked if we had reservations and there were hardly any people there. Note to self, remember that if dining during the weekend you will want a reservation. During the week not a big deal. The Bravo chopped salad had canned black olives kinda surprised me. Server named Gabby was great, helpful with suggestions and kept our glasses filled. I would dine there again.
Bravo was only okay. Food was decent, but definitely not authentic Italian. Where Brazil lacks the most is the atmosphere. Very noisy and loud, and the lighting is harsh, and not attractive for food. Portion sizes were also huge.
The food was incredible, service tremendous, will be visiting this restaurant again.
A mixed bag. My wife and I were seated promptly in the spacious dining room. We had a series of servers who came by to tell us someone else was serving us. Eventually got a server and ordered. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, my wife the salmon. She could not say enough good about the salmon meal. Everything was excellent on her side of the table. My spaghetti and meatballs on the other hand was possibly the most average meal in the place. The meatballs were excellent for flavor and size. the downside was they were at best warm and personally I would say cold. The spaghetti noodles were all stuck together almost making it like eating a large chunk of pasta - the good news was it was hot. The marinara sauce was very nice and full of great fresh and tasty tomatoes - a bit sweet for my taste but overall very nice. I wont get the spaghetti again. By the time we left, I had to flag the waiter down again (chased him once for a refillfor the check.Overall on a scale of 1 to 10 - a 7 for us. Good food, top end of the price scale for what we got, but overall a positive experience.
Had an early Saturday dinner with 4 in the party. Drinks were small and mostly ice. Appetizers were nice, but served with the salads. Bread came later. Make sure that you read the menu as to what comes with your meal. It sounds like a salad is included, but it isnt. The two that ordered fish were pleased. The steak was so-so, and my lobster ravioli was dry. Dessert was yummy. Be prepared to have your waiter up sell you on everything. While the decor is pretty, I this extremely noisy inside. Ill give them another try with the lunch menu.
