BONZAI Asian Restaurant in Ioannina

Πολύ νόστιμες γεύσεις! Όμορφο και ήρεμο περιβάλλον, με ωραία χρώματα και διακόσμηση. Είμαι λάτρης του μπουφέ τις Κυριακές, δεν υπάρχει κάποιος που δεν θα ευχαριστηθεί, ακόμα κι αν νομίζει ότι τα πιάτα δεν ανταποκρίνονται στις γεύσεις του. Σας προκαλώ να το επισκεφτείτε! Αγαπημένα πιάτα το γλυκόξινο κοτόπουλο, tempura eby και bao buns με τραγανό κοτόπουλο!

Do yourself a favor, spend your time on a local Greek restaurant, and avoid this “Asian” place. We order sushi which was just ok and beef bun - avoid this dry bun (!no sauce, the bun dough was a disaster.

I ordered food and after 40 minutes I called them and they told me that the order we leave after 15 minutes. So I waited another 30 minutes and I called them again and they told me that just now they started to cook/prepare the order. This is the second that time that did that, so I ordered from somewhere else after waiting for 1 hour and a half. So if you want to eat from bonzai, you need to order 3 hours earlier. They are lying and they didnt have the dignity to offer the food for 3 hours delay. When I was telling them on the phone that their behavior and their policy and management is unacceptable they were telling me that for some reason they couldnt hear me. All in all, do not order from bonzai.

Very slow service. Waited for about an hour to eat ,but the food was average. We were also not allowed to pay separately for the sushi we ordered for 4 people.

I share the same reservations as most people when it come to the food, quote mediocre. The issue is that they try to serve too many cuisines and end up doing none of them that well. The sushi is alright but too expensive, the Thai (spicysalad was not at all spice, rather sweet and the Tom Yum soup is a disgrace to all tom yum soups around the world, had no authentic flavour and they added shrips and noodles?!!! Like since when was that ever a thing in Tom Yum soup.

Very high prices for food that is definitely not worth it. I paid 4.40€ for 2 nigiri with salmon which were completely tasteless. Not to mention my stomach is suffering after eating there. Not worth it at all.

Prices are a bit on the high end, but it is the best choice for this specific cuisine in this area.Some dishes are wonderful, while others are a bit dull.The staff is very kind, and also treated us with fortune cookie at the end of the meal.

Πήγαμε χθες το βράδυ για να φάμε πρώτη φορά και μπορώ να πω ότι μείναμε εκπληκτικοί! Το προσωπικό είναι πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό. Το φαγητό ήταν πεντανοστιμο και ήρθε πολύ γρήγορα από την ώρα που το παραγγειλαμε. Θα ξανά πάμε σίγουρα. Σας το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

i eat here again and i am disappointed. today I ordered Ramen. What I was served was definitely not Ramen. they dont know what it is apparently in this restaurant. portion so small that it is served in a cup. only water and noodles tasteless asia. Siopao tasteless, meat not spiced at all. this place doesnt serve the flavor of asia. And the serving lady is not nice.

Πολύ ωραίος χώρος, πολύ ευγενικό κ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό, προσεγμένα πιάτα, η ποιότητα φαγητού εξαιρετική κ ίσως στην 5αδα των καλύτερων ασιατικών εστιατορίων που έχω φάει! Πολύ ελαφριά κουζίνα κ γευστική, δοκιμάστε σίγουρα τα ρυζια.. Είναι το πιο δύσκολο στην κουζίνα αυτή να πετύχει με τόσο ισορροπημένη γεύση ! Οι τιμές ειναι απόλυτα νορμάλ. Θα μείνω άλλο ένα βράδυ στα Γιάννενα.. Και αύριο εκεί κ πάλι! Εύγε!

Το επισκέφτηκα μια Κυριακή για τον μπουφέ. Έχει αρκετές επιλογές αλλά θα ήθελα και μια δυο ακόμη. Πχ δύο επιλογές για γλυκό και ένα ακόμη είδος σου σούσι. Κοστίζει 14.5€ ανά άτομο και έχεις μέγιστο χρόνο μια ώρα. Επίσης κοστίζει +1€ το ότι θα φας μπουφέ. Άρα, 15.5€. θα φαγητά νόστιμα χωρίς αμφιβολία και σίγουρα θα ξανά πήγαινα για να δοκιμάσω τα πεντανόστιμα νουντλς. Το συστήνω σίγουρα!

Nice place for some Asian food.The sushi is cute but we liked the 5 fried entries much more.They had no fresh salmon the day we visited, so I suggest to check before you come.

Great restaurant, but sushi was just OK

A place that is supposed to be super fine turned out to be mediocre. It is usually rather difficult to serve multiple cuisines and excel in all of them. Bonzai fails in this attempt. Service first: when you promise to move a table to a better location, one must keep this promise. We noticed numerous new parties being seated, while we were kept at the temporary table we were offered when we entered. Needless to say, we were not moved as promised. In addition, we had 2 waiters – a waiter that could not speak English (an apprentice perhapsthat had to call his colleague every time we asked for something. She, in return, was impatient whenever she arrived at our table. Food-wise: beef dishes such as the beef with vegetables bao ban or beef vegetables noodles – the beef was chewy, and was served in large chunks, rather than small pieces that can be eaten in small bites. The sushi we ordered was partially good, but some sushi dishes seemed like a pile of vegetables on a bed of rice – not appealing at all.

Στα Γιάννενα η ασιατική κουζίνα γευστικά στα καλύτερα της !!!!!Πολύ ευγενικό και κατατοπιστικό το προσωπικό όσον αφορά την επιλογή φαγητού , όμορφος και περιποιημένος χώρος.

"all asian": Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and Indian restaurant and the quality is as expected. If you must have Asian, be prepared. If not, go to a Greek restaurant. Service is attentive and pleasant.

Fresh sushi. Well prepared rice and delicious combinations. It can be considered economical also.

I enjoyed a nice sushi and wok noodles at this restaurant. the staff was kind and polite.Edit july 2021: excellent sushi. I loved the gunkan spicy salmon and gunkan spicy tuna. Excellent, fresh fish and well prepared rice. We also tried four kinds of uramaki and they were all delicious. The staff is very nice. They brought a suitable seat for our one year old daughter.

Very delicious food! The sushi with avocado, shrimp and cucumber it was very nice! I will go again one day!! I suggest you visit it!

This place is not about good atmosphere, not about smiling waiters, not about tasty soup, not about tea (Asian restaurant doesn’t have tea, really?). From 5 stars I would like to order minus 5.

Love the buffet every Sunday

We visited on Sunday which is the day that it offers all you can eat buffet. The food was really nice and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

The cuisine is good. This place has dishes from a few Asian countries. The prices have increased recently so I recommend visiting the Sunday buffet. This way youll get the chance to taste various dishes at a relatively good price.Their delivery service, however, is horrible and so is their customer support. The delivery time is unacceptable and they tend to use cheap excuses when they mess up an order.Overall, if you want to go you should just go to the Sunday buffet.

Absolutely delicious. We asked if they offered vegan options and the chef made the most amazing food ever. The makis were amazing, and the Bao Buns are to die for... We went twice in 3 days. Congratulations to the chef. AND it was super friendly. I miss you Bonzai.

Nice Atmosphere and Delicious Food . Just no parking area and we have to walk to reach this place. But beside that, I like this place and food

We visit Ioannina about 2 or 3 times every year, it is a 2 hour drive from our home in Lefkas. The highlight of these trips is a chance to eat fantastic chinese food at Bonzai. This type of cuisine is not available in much of Greece and it is such a treat to dine here. Tempura prawns, spare ribs, sate chicken are a sample of the delights on the menu, plus a full Sushi selection - highly recommended!
