Local Tex-Orleans chain serving po' boys, gumbo, fried seafood & more in a casual setting.
Recently went and found the Debris and Grits! It was great! Will be back for more of that. The servers were friendly and attentive! Great prices as well! Have been there a few times over the years and enjoy each visit!
Sooo I visited this place after leaving 2 clubs at almost 3 am, Per request of a regular customer , whom I was riding with. I really enjoyed my food ! I ordered the Thursday special which was beef and grits with a side of greens. Let me add this, all 3 of us were under the influence of alcohol and marijuana and we all finished our plates plus the appetizer and all were satisfied ! I recommend.
Food was great! Fast and friendly service. But the parking signs are absolutely faded and my car got towed so that fckn sucked. At least I was full and happy when I found out.
Tasty and beautiful experience of New Orleans cuisine!
We had the shrimp and grits and the half shrimp po boy with the chicken and sausage gumbo. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. They food was so good!
Candice is a great person and a wonderful waitress! I am truly grateful for the experience that she has created for us! Thank you bb’s for taking great care of me and my family. And the food was delicious!!
Had a taste for a fried shrimp po-poy and their name popped up. Id never had tex- food or even heard of it but enjoyed my sandwich and fries for lunch. They have happy hour and will return to check it out.
Good stuff. Smalll and unassuming! Gumbo had a tasty rue. Shrimp were crisp and delicious!
Great food but super busy place especially at night, even hard to find parking here, but that makes sense if the food is really good! The service was really nice as well, kind of felt bad with the amount of traffic they were getting but good food and nice place thats open late!
Good food as always, but they only had one cook that day. The food took an hour to come out of the kitchen. Thats not good!
At first I was wondering what kind of treatment or dinner was awaiting. But I couldnt judge by looks. When entering the waitress was very attentive and we were given good seating. She then gave a run down of the menu and then I knew exactly what I wanted and they delivered wholesomely.
Worst service ever, food wasn’t even worth it and management is terrible. Takes forever for anyone to greet you. The servers are very rude, made me feel very rushed. Will not be returning.
A small storefront type place, late at night it was hard to get seated but once we got seated we had good service and the food was great.
The food was really good. Service was sort of slow but I think the 1 server was doing the best she could waiting on all tables. Their was quite a bit of people during lunch. This was our first visit we were visiting from out of town. Food was plentiful we had leftovers for when we drove home.
The worst catfish ever, management was terrible. Took them 30mins just to even speak. Food has no flavor. Got waited on twice. Couldn’t pay me to return. I promise you be better off going to McDonald’s.
Only leaving 2 stars 1 for the service and The other for the packaging. Ordered to go after getting off late. My sister has never had crawfish,so I ubered to get 7 pounds, red beans and rice corn, potatoes and sausage. WAS SADLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CRAWFISH ,THEY WERE HARD TO EAT AND HAD A LONG HAIR ENTANGLED IN THE CRAWFISH. .the only decent thing was the margaritas I had while I waited for my food. Do not recommend.
My dish was excellent, but the greens were so salty that I could not eat them. Also it was way too hot inside to enjoy my meal.
I went yesterday. I was greeted by a young woman behind the counter that was eating a bowl of gumbo while she took my togo order. While waiting for my food, I noticed she went to refill someones drink. But they dont have the typical ice dispenser. Its old school, out of a bucket and they use a large cup to scoop the ice. No clean hands, no gloves, nothing. GROSS!I got home and opened my to go order, I noticed the "large" gumbo I paid for was barely enough to fill a literal cup. Upon reheating my shrimp today I noticed one of the two potatoes I paid for was rotten.Im going to go ahead and assume I caught them on a bad day.
So they only have 1 server.. The food is terrible and cold. This place has took a turn for tha worst... If i could put zero stars i would... And the margaritas are wine based and watery...
I’m sorry I must have different tastebuds but their crawfish taste just like spaghetti I couldn’t figure out why…..until I realized that they put oregano in the paste. As a person who knows what REAL crawfish taste like this is just disrespectful . This will be in the bottom of the pits of hell. if anyone who know what real crawfish taste like please avoid this place. I just wanna go back to Louisiana but this THIS BB’s is not IT. Save you money and go to lotus or boiling 888
LOVE THIS PLACE!! Big && Spicy crawfish (WET)!! Swirl margarita was ok!! Staff was great, parking is in the back.
Visited Houston, Texas and BBs was our first dining experience as they conveniently stay open pretty late. Lively dinner with a mixed crowd/customers. Tried their Po’Boys & Gumbo combo along with their crawfish - the gumbo was good but the crawfish was our absolute favorite! Spicy yet well-seasoned and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for somewhere good to eat after-hours.
I’m used to going to the one on Westheimer but glad I stopped by and tried this location. The service was great (Crystal was on top of everythingall of the staff was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious! The bathroom could use a little more cleanliness but overall a great location. lol
Im so sorry to say....not impressed. I ordered a pound of boiled shrimp with 2 pieces of corn, 2 potatoes and 1 boiled egg (No judgment; I love boiled egg). When I got home, most shrimp were extremely hard to peel but had tons of seasoning. There were others that were easy to peel, but no seasoning. I think I know what happened here, but I will not shame this location because of it. I was left extremely underwhelmed with my $35 purchase. The decision is yours. Maybe other locations are better, but the lack of consistency for texture and flavor combined with extremely inconvenient parking makes me wonder if this location is in over its head.
walk away from that place. BBs Tex Orleans is a great brand and they have many other locations in Houston that are much better than this one. the people working there were not welcoming to us nor our dog. even parking there was horrible. the location on White Oaks is so much better.
Good food, reasonable prices. Even though my crawfish tasted as if they were frozen...a couple was rotten.
This is my favorite location! You can even get the mushrooms fried! 5lbs for $35. I know you can’t get fried mushrooms at the westheimer location.
Atmosphere was great! Food was really good.A bit loud on patio only because of traffic. Still nice to sit out there. Definitely recommend and will be going back!!👍👍👍👍👍
Food was good that’s the only reason I’m giving 1 stars. But service was terrible tonight .We“Started”with chips and queso they never came because waitress didn’t put it on the order. So I said that’s fine. Then We ordered crawfish and asked for gloves and bibs. Waitress never came with. I said ok guess she forgot because she never came back to check on us so we proceeded to eat. When she finally came back we asked for napkins because there wasn’t any on our table. And again she never brought any. So I had to ask her one more time could you please bring us napkins. This is almost comical.. SHE BROUGHT US LEMONS !?!? And mind you she literally sets the LEMONS on the table with her back facing us didn’t even give me a chance to tell her something. At this point I’m furious. So I just leave it at that . So we just calmly ask for the tab and leave. This was our first time here and definitely won’t be coming back. It was literally worst service ever . I wish I would of caught her name to write it on here but unfortunately I did not. But do better she was literally worst waitress I’ve ever had.
Kinda disappointed. I love bb’s crawfish, but the ones i received last night were so hard to peel as if i was given reboiled crawfish . They were hot and the sides were amazing. but they were extremely hard
Parking is very limited. At night it’s less crowded but the place can easily be filled. The prices are reasonable. They have great customer service. You get a lot of chicken tenders as seen in the pic if that’s what you decide to order. They taste ok.They come with stringy fries. The restrooms aren’t always clean so be mindful it’s a chance it may be dirty. This location is better for take out due to parking
Service is def above average. Helped out with All my questions without judgment or hesitation. My 1st Crayfish Boil, loved it !!
Everything was perfect 🥰 friendly service great staff great menu 👌 I liked the strawberry 🍓 margarita
I like the other locations better. This one only has plastic picnic ware but charges silver tableware and linens prices. The service is nice and the food is good though.
The flavor of the louisiana seasoning is really good. We got 2-lbs of crawfish each with three potatoes and corn. However, we were upset that the potatoes were not cooked well enough. The center of the potatoes still need at least 5 more minutes in the pot. We did ask for more potatoes to replace the uneaten potatoes and still the same things happened. It was really disappointing. We surely would try it again.
Crawfish MexTex flavor just kinda blaugh and heavy. Crawfish at least 1/4 hard peel which means dead when cooked, frozen a long time or over cooked. We were a late lunch so maybe some earlier craws were left in pot. Service very good. Budon balls were very good.
Food was amazing. I got the Thursday special! Greens, tasty. Grits, different but amazing. The meat was tender and the Texas toast was unlike any other Texas toast Id ever had! I liked it and it was small and secluded even though the seating was close.
Hadnt been here in years back when I believe it was their first location. The issue is the parking is tight as well as being located literally at the traffic light of Montrose Blvd and Westheimer... so lots of traffic and hard to get in and out when the traffic is backed up.The food was still pretty good and slightly spicier than I like but my taste buds adapted! The batter for the shrimp is light and great, the place is affordable and clean. They didnt skimp on quantity so I filled up half way thru my meal. I heard the Carters come here when theyre in town (Beyoncé & JayZbut didnt see them to holla at them today lol
This place is cool B-rad is the lifesaver of this place I bet if anybody els was there I would have left because they messed my waffle up two times and I normally don’t eat after food goes back but because of his people skills I enjoyed my time and the boudin balls we’re good
Candace is the most amazing server. She was so fun to visit with. She gave us so many ideas of fun things to do in Houston. Every meal she recommended was AMAZING. We were planning on eating at many places while visiting, but now we just want to eat here!! I have so many more things I want to try. We are so full!!!! This photo was taken after half of our plate was gone. I snapped it just in time. They were gone in seconds! (Loaded Pollo Bullets)
The food was great and the service was so friendly. 👌
Shrimp and grits was off the chain. Alligator sausage and crawfish was real good as well. Cool spot
The service was an 11 out of 10 but their crawfish are the BEST.My grandbaby loved his greenbeans tossed parmesan.
Delicious! The seasoning on the crayfish was unbelievable, highly recommend. Great service too, and love the drinks. Also the sausage options for the crayfish boil were AMAZING!
Didnt get pictures of the food as the lighting was bad and i just forgot. Grillades and grits from Maw maw was delicious. Steak bits tender and grits had good seasoning and whole kernels in there too. Loaded Pollo bullets also were great. Gumbo had great flavor. Only bad thing was the bread pudding. The pudding itself was great, but the meringue/whipped cream substance on top smelled as if it had turned. Had to rake that part of as it was ruining the dessert. Servers were nice but super busy. Purple haze Rita was interesting.
I recently dined in at the BBs Tex-Orleans Montrose location. I ordered a fried seafood combination platter and my partner ordered boiled crawfish. Both of our plates were hot, accurate and tasty. My only complaint is that this particular BBs is quite small and can be a bit cramped when busy. Otherwise, the food and service were great. Drop in if youre in the mood for some Southern favorites.
From out of town, loved the seafood, the po boys. Waitstaff was friendly, service was fast. Casual, laid back environment with outdoor seating
I had an amazing experience at BBs Midtown. I kept seeing my friends on FB getting crawfish from there, so I decided to do the same. I called my order in and by the time I made it there, it was being prepared for me. The employees were so nice, great customer service skills. Now to the crawfish. They were great. Flavor throughout the meat. I will definitely visit again.
wanted to take my BF some place he had never been to before. it was already after 12am NYD so not many choices as we drove back into town. he loves cajun food and i remembered bb’s was open till 3. i had been there one time before w/ a co-worker. anyways we knew what we wanted before arriving since the menu was online. there were a few people in there, but not crowded. as soon as we seated ourselves candice our waitress came over took our order without writing it down. my mad hatter salad and his gumbo w/shrimp came out in less than 5 min. omg both were very delish. i love the balsamic dressing they gave for salad and the hush puppies that came with soup...very good. the boudin balls took a little longer to come out which was fine since we were enjoying the food we had. plus the salad and gumbo were served in huge bowls...then come the boudin balls - omg - i never had one in my life. amazingly awesome and the bb’s sauce was great for dipping. the bill was $32.30 and gave her $40 and said keep the change. candice really made our visit there unforgettable in the best possible way.
One of our go to spot for crawfish. Love love their hush puppies. And ohh their fries are really good!!
