all i can say is wow, every bite took my breath away.. i had the chicken and waffles but really wanted lunch and they brought me some beans and greens and i was blown away.. the service, amazing, i felt so loved and welcomed... definitely a destination to put on your itinerary for breakfast or lunch, youll be blown away🙌

If you know the expression, "the cook put their foot in it..." when food is good... At BBs, they put their entire leg in it! (Im literally doing the Stanky Leg danceThe food is a throwback to Georgia / Louisiana flavors, and so is the hospitality. The catfish was light and crispy. The greens were cooked well with the slight notes of smoked pork. The Mac & cheese was balanced and cheesy, not heavy or greasy. The waffles... oh my the waffles, its a must try! BBs makes Roscoes look and taste like Cliftons cafeteria food... so much better. Such a diamond, I doubled my order TO-GO. Now you know, so GO!

Do yourself a favor and try the chicken wings and waffles. Also, the pulled pork breakfast burrito is probably the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. A sublime experience.

Baby listen, the food is good! Chicken, YES!!! Greens, YES!!! AND I dont know what the hell shes putting in those "hush puppies", but I could eat a bag of them.😩🥴😋 The macaroni and cheese looked tricky at first glance, but its actually really delicious. Strawberry lemonade is divine. Porkchops, what????😋 Now, shes only open from 9-2pm certain days a week so make sure you get there early. Well worth it! 👌🏾🙌🏾4 1/2 💫💫💫

I ordered the chicken wings and collard greens to go. The chicken was drumettes, not wings, and the chicken wasnt done on the inside. The greens was just okay. When I asked fir some vinegar to put on the greens, I was told they had never head if anyone putting vinegar on greens. Most Southern and soul food restaurants have vinegar for you to put on your greens.

Love my black owend restaurants but the customer service isnt what it used to be how can you close early on Sunday they dont answer the phone to tell you no information had to waste gas and time the place used be a bbq spot Wich ended up closing

Went with my friends after a music festival and we all loved it. The food was amazing. The staff was so friendly. There’s just a family vibe with this place and I love it. It’s an hour away but I will definitely make that drive for food.

Really good breakfast! Customer service was really good! Coming from the central valley and not knowing whats good around in that area! Fast service! The "regulars" pointed to us on theyre known for.. I got the breakfast burrito with Hot links! Next time i would like to try the chicken & waffles.. My boys loved the bacon & waffles.

Ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich w/sides and was not disappointed. Authentic taste and generous portions. Was thinking there wasn’t a good BBQ place in Covina and happily proved wrong! 🥰Only wish I had tried BB’s a lot earlier so will definitely be coming back.

From the moment my husband and I walked in, to receiving our food, the total experience was amazing! Michelle took our order and was so pleasant and welcoming. Ms. BB served us with the biggest, prettiest smile! The menu is reasonably priced, the selection was great. And last but not least, the food was SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD❤️❤️❤️!! I strongly recommend this place.

Bruuhhhh… This is THAT place. One of the best soul food joints I’ve ever ate at, and I’ve had soul food all around New Orleans. Also hands down the best greens I’ve ever had. Highly recommend everyone to come here.

This place is the bomb. I had the waffles and bacon and my husband had the cat fish and fries. It was delicious food and the woman at the counter was polite and attentive. Highly recommend and we will be back 😀

Its too bad I can only give this place 5 stars, cause I just had one of the most satisfying meals of my life.Probably the best waffle I have ever eaten, it was truly a magical experience, whoever is cooking, guessing her name is BB, she has tapped in to some magical stuff. Typically when nearing the end of a waffle, it gets somewhat mushy, after sitting in the butter and syrup, but I kid you not, my last bite of waffle was still crunchy on the outside, while the buttery syruppy goodness filled the inside, it was a religious experience.Oh wait, whats that? You wanna know about the chicken? Gordon Ramsay couldnt cook a better piece of fried chicken! I could literally taste the love. Crispy, juicy flavorful, there is nothing else I could say.BB, I think I love you, please never leave me.

This is a great place to eat. Delicious food great people. Michelle is wonderful and sweet. Her sister is a great cook. First time having collard greens. So delicious. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I loved her food. She seem very humble and down to earth. The young lady at the counter was very nice and on it too. We had the fish dinner with macaroni and cheese, baked beans, greens (which were on point), and hush puppies. My oldest went last month and bought me one of her shower curtains, hand drawn due to her fiance dropping my dinner off the car roof so that shower curtain made up for the lost dinner. We will definitely eat there again. ☺

Today was our 1st visit and it will not be our last! We drove 45 mins on the recommendation of a friend and she was right! The food is outstanding! I chose the catfish meal and it was so crisp and delicious! And you wont go wrong with any of their sides. Im not embarrassed to say that we finished the whole thing in the car before driving off. Really the best way to enjoy it is fresh and hot!

BBs is it! I had a great experience. They have some good people working there. And the experience matched the quality and taste of the food. Im big on flavor and they got it. I got the potato breakfast burrito (and I asked for the cheese to be swapped for baked beansand they were willing to take my request!Food was great, for a great price, clean environment & people that feel like home. Came here on 5/30/20 at 9am when they opened for some chicken and waffles and had the wonderful experience of meeting BB herself, along with the friendly women behind the counter. I was greeted with a warm smile and welcomed by everyone in the kitchen. The chicken and waffles were really good! Simple and delicious! Can’t find a good soul food spot around the area, so I was pleasantly surprised with BB’s! Will definitely be back for the service and good food!

I love BBs Cafe waffles! The scrambled eggs are perfectly cooked!--soft and fluffy, just like I love them. Her hashbrowns are so delicious! One of my favorite menu items. Everything is always hot and fresh!!

Very cool little spot, nice staff. Meant for take out but has 3 tables seating 4 each . I got the chicken n waffle cook gave me an extra chicken wing it was my first time there. The waffle was good enough but did ask for crispy but not so much so but compared to others delicious.Chicken is the star of this dish!!! Well seasoned!!!!

Upon entering BB’s Cafe, i received a very homey and comforting vibe from the staff and Ms.BB herself. My girlfriend and I ordered the Bacon&Waffle, Chicken&Waffle, Mac&Cheese, with a Red Kool Aid and let me tell you something, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! We received our food in a timely manner, it was fresh, delicious, and had ZERO complaints. All of their food is priced fairly, tastes more than great, and this all comes along with excellent customer service. Anyone with a right mind would have no choice but to come here and enjoy something from Ms.BB’s delicious menu!

SO GOOD! Hubby and I were craving waffles so we stopped in and LOVED IT. Quaint little storefront, friendly and helpful staff. The chicken and waffles was out of control good. Dont forget to try the hot sauce with the chicken!. Will definitely be coming back.

Theres absolutely nothing good here as far as food quality. Customer service is fine but the people in the kitchen just flat out cannot cook.Ordered a lemonade and it was way too sour. Had to add alot of sugar to make it palatable. Waffles were bad. Texture is weird and too soft to where it absorbs the syrup and yet is still dry so you end up having to add more syrup to compensate. Flavor profile also off. My eggs were completely overcooked. Chicken was bland and a bit overcooked. Mac n cheese also bland. NOTHING I consumed here tasted good.

I had driven past this spot dozens of times since they opened a couple years back, but kept forgetting to stop in. Man, I didnt know what I was missing. You can literally smell the chicken and waffles walking up to the place. So good! Ive been here a few times now. The waffles are good (its true, theyre more on the soft sideand they go perfect with the crispiness of this chicken. The ribs are also very good. And totally out of left field...their breakfast burritos are amazing. Thick, savory, and filling. The service is good. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes for anything I ordered. Its a small location, but Im telling you, what they do with it is fantastic.

This is easily the best soul food in the area. Their fried chicken is divine and its so much better than anything you can get anywhere else. Their Mac and cheese is equally as amazing. I really cant overstate how much I love their food here.Michelle is really sweet. Theyre super attentive and theyre lovely to chat with.

Okay, first of all, when you walk in, you are greeted like family- I loved that. Second, the food was delicious!!! I had chicken and waffles- scrumptious!!! Oh! Their sweet tea was so good, too! I dont live close but I will make the drive for some good food!!

BB is amazing. The food is always so good. My husband found this family owned restaurant and we havent stopped going since. Every time we go we are treated like family. My fav is the breakfast burrito but i also love the Mac n cheese n baked beans as my sides. I get the sweet tea and a refill before i go. The burrito was so good I was half way when I remembered to take a picture today.

A no-frills soul food based spot. We tried their chicken and waffles and found the dough in the waffles to have a nice chewy doughnut like texture. Friendly and attentive staff. A bit of a small sitting area, but they accommodated some overcrowding by implementing a foldable outdoor table and chairs. I’ll have to try their breakfast burrito the next time I’m in the area.

Best chicken and waffles ever. Saturday breakfast with hubby. We both had chicken and waffles. Price point perfect. Two hefty plates of waffles and chicken with coffee $25 with tip. Chicken perfectly cooked. No breading, just a light dredge and super crispy skin and succulent chicken inside. Waffle was delicious and super flavorful. Served with real butter too. Everything came hot fresh from fryer and waffle iron. Met BB and she is a delight. Staff pleasant. Service prompt. Do yourself a favor and come here. Only three tables, but I bet the lunch/dinner takout if fabulous. Well do that next time. Love that the menu is limited and they do what they do right.

I just came from BB’s Cafe and the Chicken and Waffles were great! The employees are very friendly, and the environment is so comfortable. I will definitely be returning to try more things on their menu! Also the prices are very reasonable, easy five stars

This place has 3 tables and hardly any space to stand otherwise. We ordered chicken and then waited for about 30 minutes before we got served. This is when we noticed they had served us ribs. When we told the young lady we had ordered chicken, she did not apologize or offer to redo our order. Rather, she said chicken is not served with the veggies we had ordered.Rather than argue and wait another 30 minutes, we decided to eat the ribs. They were fatty with hardly any bbq sauce on them.Not a good experience.Do not recommend.

Yum yum yummy. BBQ pork sandwich was great.. make sure you put the coleslaw on it! Chicken and waffles was awesome. And the banana pudding was amazing... you wont want to share!! Very friendly owners too. Totally going again 😋

This was great soul food! The greens, fried chicken, ribs, mac n cheese, and peach cobbler were all packed with so much juicy flavor. I was honestly shocked by how good this place was. Even the kool aid was perfect! 100% coming back and would recommend this to my family and friends.

This place is great!! Greeted by Michelle when we arrived. She really engages with the customer. The everyday menu is small and they offer daily lunch specials. I would definitely recommend dining with this mother and daughter team. They make you feel like part of the family and the food is delicious!!

Actually a GREAT place!! The waffles are fluffy & tasteful; the chicken has a deliciousness all its own; let me tell you about the koolaid.....its been a while since I had some good koolaid & this is the bomb . com!!The cherry on top is Michelle & her mom. They are such great hostess! Feels like I am at my Aunties home, not a place of business .... made me tear up! Such beautiful souls, so friendly.I didnt see a parking lot for them but found street parking fast. Not sure during peak times.

Super good chicken and waffles. Was a little skeptical at first of the wings, but theyre actually a perfect blend of white and dark meat texture. Waffle had a lot of flavor. Made fresh so it takes a little time. Call ahead if youve got a short lunch.

My wife and I have driven passed this place for months and have finally decided to stop by and try it. All I can think of now is, why did we wait so long to try it?! Food was delicious, loved the chicken and waffles, chicken was juicy and full of flavor. Waffles were awesome, not super doughy at all, they were fluffy and soft. Dont forget about that red Kool-Aid with the chicken and waffles, totally hit the spot! Got to meet the owners daughter, Michelle who was super friendly and warm hands down one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants Ive ever been too! Great food and great service. Thanks!
