B Street Pier - Tourist attraction in Crescent City, United States
Nice place for a wedding
We like to come eat lunch here it has a beautiful view of lighthouse.
Lovely view of the water. No crowds.
Good crabbing there. But needs some lights fixed only about half of them work.
Public pier used alot for crabbing. Everyone seemed to be doing well
It was rainy the 3 days in crescent beach. The rocks are misleading and thought the wall had seals on them🤣😂. Seeing the waves crash against the wall was amazing. Seeing wind surfers surf was crazy as well. If wasnt raining and strong winds might have walked the pier.
Nice peaceful place
Awesome but chilly in the evening. It has a lighthouse and a pier surrounded by rocky bank set up to prevent tsunami. Thus its crescent shape. The city is called Crescent City. The hotels in this city dont have air conditioner except heaters because hot weather is never a problem here. Please note that about 20 minute south of the Crescent city has a beach with less crowd where you can picnic and do tidepools for free
Great place to spend some time enjoying the ocean breeze.
We didnt know you can rent traps and catch crab, snails, etc for a small fee. Super fun for family activity!
Distance and crashing waves can be intimidating but the walk is worth it.
Its a pier, a plane pier. But its nice. We went at night and it was a mix of relaxing and creepy with the fog rolling in and the sound of the fog horn. The lighthouse is visible and lit up at night.
Great view of the bay, beautiful, crabbing seemed productive
B Street Pier is one majestic place. There is a parking lot to the pier that delivers you out into our historic harbor. To your right is the Battery Point light house and Jetty and to your left Whalers Island. You might even see a Bigfoot down there as well like I did on my visit. Local business Fog Bank Clothing co was filming a commercial when I was down there.
This is a great place to just pull up to and eat your lunch! Super pretty views when its good weather. Nice park right near by and a few restaurants. Everytime I go to Crescent city I also visit this beach/pier.
Great place to see the Battery Point Lighthouse and walk the pier to take in the surrounding area.
Its a nice pier with a beautiful view! We love taking the kids here fishing. If you are wondering about fishing off the pier, you can without a license. Not gonna catch much but thats why we come here, for the kids to practice casting. Lots of ppl drop their crab pods here.
Great place to see but the fog is crazy!
I caught 4 Crabs and a small bucket of muscles shells. The Light House is wonderful
A must stop and check out, especially if youre just traveling through and need to stretch your legs
Beautiful views, crabbing is fun. Fishing is really hit or miss, mostly miss. Get a crab pot and hang out its a lot of fun!
This was a pretty good spot to see the sea lions. Its also a great view of the ocean so I will be back next time I go to the coast. Definitely worth checking out.
Despite a little rain, my family and I enjoyed a walk down the pier. Such beautiful scenery and very peaceful.
Beautiful views. Many people crabbing off of the pier.
Its beautiful. The people are friendly. The birds and squirrels come up and eat right out of your hand.
Beautiful views and a nice walk on the pier and the getty
A great place to see Crescent City from the pier. And wonderful vistas of the lighthouse and of the abundance of wildlife everywhere there ! Nice to see the return if the Seastars a.k.a. Starfish!
Was a quiet pier. During low tide collected lots of shells and sand dollars. Were able to see a few star fish attached to the pier. One of our favorite stops.
Love it! Jetty is awesome, the pier is great!
A nice stop in Crescent City but your experience will depend on the weather. If its a cold and overcast day, its not really worth driving over and walking out. If its bright and sunny, however, it is a good experience.
The view was pretty but there was a group of men at the end of the pier smoking weed and generally ruining the place for everyone. Walking up to the end of the pier we were hit with the terrible cloud of secondhand weed smoke and we saw a group of 6 or 7 huge men looking at us and daring us to say anything about it. Completely ruined the experience.
Reminds me of my hometown pier, Santa Cruz! Beautiful
I enjoyed walking out into the ocean. It was very peaceful.
Just as i remembered. Sorry forgot to snap a pic of the lighthouse, it is to my right in both pics. this is facing southeast, showing the dock at two different times of day.
We discovered Crescent City while touring the western states on vacation in 2009 and keep going back. The pier completes the atmosphere of the town and always fun to visit. You can watch the crabbers and everyone fishing or just wait for the occasional sea lion or seal to come by.
The only real pier in Crescent city. Great for crabbing certain times of the year. You do not need a fishing license to fish or crab from this pier. (even you out of state folks)
Beautiful views.. a good little walk.. you get to see those trying to catch crabs and fish.. love it that its free fishing off this pier...
Very pretty pier. Different types of birds with picnic tables and handicapped parking and access to the pier.
There were signs that the jetty was dangerous and a ton of people out there. We kept to the docks and saw a lot of people crabbing. Great views, occasional bad smell.
Nice little walk near the Marina. Runs along the jetti. Instead of risking your life on a rogue wave overtopping the surf breaker, take the pier. There and back is a nice breazy walk. Say hello to the seabirds.
Its always bustling here people bring theyre fishing poles or crab pods and enjoy fishing from the pier licence free. Merry people from all walks of life sharing theyre fishing knowledge or enjoy a picnic lunch while watching the v boats come and go. Or maybe walk down from your hotel and enjoy the cool fresh air
Nick and I loved the Pier its great for kayaking fishing and crabing :it would be fun to walk to the end of the Pier and eat lunch at the tables :you can see the lighthouse which was one of the first on the California Coast
Its a great place to go crab hunting, if you can find any that are a good size. It has a great view of the ocean and you can see and hear the local lighthouse. Very nice place to go for a picnic or just hear the waves. One thing I didnt like is that there are no restrooms near by, and the public ones that are close by are always locked.
Very nice pier with a view of a cute lighthouse. Good for pictures. Wasnt too many people there for crabs on a chilly jan 30.
The best spot in crescent City California, there is a big lighthouse with waters filled with crabs and sharks, if you dont care about your life like me then go surfing in those waters. if you are not single then take your partner to a mile long walk on the pier, but if you are single AF as me then enjoy with the birds as there pray over crabs and fishes. The city is very small amount 2 miles of diameter, so make sure you dont miss it. Dont bother looking for accommodating there as its very expensive with the whole demand supply thing it gets crazy during summer, I heard from a fisherman that they have the best fish and chips in the restaurants in the city. So look out for them and enjoy yourself. Oh on the bonus, if u are daring like me then go to the top of the lighthouse (Dont jump like a moronjust enjoy the view of the beautiful 360. The only other lighthouse you will find will be near golden gate bridge.
Great place to go crabbing. No licence needed. Just make sure it is actually crabbing season which usually opens in November. Get yourself a hoop net from a local shop a measuring tool a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot and some chicken legs thats all you need to catch Dungeness crab. You may also take some rock crab.
It is just beautiful! It is a great asset to our community. Its wonderful that were allowed to fish and crab for free from it. We meet amazing tourists and see many wonderful locals.
While the crab fishing season is yet to provide a good catch this season the peir is a beautiful place for a walk or a picnic. Almost always some one walking around to chat with.
On the left is a pier with bad pavement and potholes and stuff, on the right is an unsafe jetty walk you are not suppose to be on. Fair view though, nothing ordinary nor amazing. Just fair, in comparison to the views I have seen riding the Oregon and California coast by bicycle. Probably not worth the time or effort to walk out there though unless you have nothing better to do.
Very nice place to stay. Wheelchair accessible other than the lip on the sliding door to the deck is a little bit high for wheelchair. But very convenient to go and look at the sea lions and go for a stroll down the pier. The bed was very comfortable staff was very helpful and polite
