Azteca in Chelsea

Oh my god!!!!! 10/10 all across the board!!!My friend and I met up after work and looked for places to go for a bit of dinner and we walked up and down Kings Road for places to eat, but it was fully booked EVERYWHERE!!! And thank GOD we ended up at Azteca! From when we were greeted at the door by the most lovely host, till we were sat a table by the sweetest servant. We ordered Nachos for starters, and that’s when the party began! Sombreros to wear if you feel like it!? Absolutely love it!! Plus the tunes! Let’s talk about the Raggaeton. I will be back!!!!!!!!!! I can’t thank you guys enough, thanks for very friendly and attentive service, heartwarming Mexican food, and the tunes just did it for me! Pure vibes!

Great ambience and decorations😍 they have the traditional Mexican live performance later at night💃🏻We ordered the Nachos but forgot to tell the staff we only wanted small and it came out to be HUGE😂 It would have been better if it’s with guacamole and sour cream🥲 The grilled prawn tacos were amazing tho! Very flavourful 👌🏻The cocktails were nice too😆 highly recommend the first one (forgot the name but it’s sth with mango)Churros were a bit disappointing tho. I felt like it’s not the traditional onesStaff were friendly and helpful

Food was great (chicken tacos and enchiladas), drinks look nice and are tasty. However, went there for a dinner on Saturday and I felt like in a night club - it was loud and dark, not possible to have a conversation. No spaces between tables, they are so squeezed.

Loved the cocktails and the fajitas. Out of the tacos, the prawn option was the best, the others were just so so. Cozy little place, went on a Monday night and it was still buzzing.

Small restaurant renowned for its cocktails, all at £12. Food is more texmex than Mexican, fajitas very average and too much sauce on the lukewarm meat. Tortillas were fresh and tacos not too heavy. Crammed tables, outdated decor, it could be ok for families rather than couples on a date. Average prices, considering the area.

Absolutely love this place, where I dined solo earlier this week. Excellent drinks (Michelada, Margaritas, etc.and food (more Tex-Mex than Mexicanand thoroughly charming staff. Highly recommended.

Amazing Mezcal choice! Good company, good vibes, great fresh tacos! Asked the barman for his tequila and mezcals of choice and he gave us a nice selection to choose from. Will go again next time I end up in London and around Chelsea/Victoria.

We have been coming to Azteca for many years but on this occassion the normal management/staff were not there. We arrived and asked what table would you like, selected the table, ordered a bottle of Malbec, waited and was told they only had Merlot but did not know the price but they agreed to sell at the Malbec price, no idea if this was a fair price or not.During the wait my wife went to the toilet and was shocked to find that it absolutely stunk from lack of cleaning which we then realised you could actually smell the toilets in the bar. She mentioned this to the nice waitress and she did pass onto the management and said they will look into it. Then we were asked to move from our 2 seater table as other guests that they knew had arrived - we declined.Finally our bill was double what it should of been but unfortunately I paid by contactless, realised that they over charged and had to argue on how to refund and then charge the right amount...they even had the cheek to try and charge for service.We eat out a lot, hence 143,000 views on Google and our reviews are always fair but unfortunately this was a memorable night for the wrong reasons. Never again!

It was good, but to make it 5, need little of changes in food taste and flavour. Other than that, I am happy to try again.

Used to go there all the times for years until few of us started getting nasty reaction when we were drinking there. Also been over charged quite a few times when opened tab. Shame! As the food is really good.

Came here on Tuesday what was meant to be a few drinks and dinner but ended up being mostly drinks! The staff were very friendly and came over regularly to check if we needed anything else. The atomsphere was great and loved the decor! Really enjoyed the cocktails too. Would reccomend and thank you for having us

Wonderful bar/restaurant. Really picturesque. Service was perfect, our waitress Valentina was so lovely and really made our night. Ill definitely be going back again and would recommend it to friends/family. Thanks! :)

Nothing special just a mediocre Mexican restaurant with nice environment.

A great little Mexican on Kings Road. Very cosy and theyve gone all in with the Mexican theme. Good food with great vegetarian options. Would highly recommend the vegan black bean burrito which never disappoint. Fantastic margaritas, nachos and guacamole. One of my favourite restaurants.

Coming from California, Azteca was a refreshing and nostalgic experience to dining out eating Mexican cuisine. A lovely atmosphere with an amazing selection of tequila cocktails. I reccomend the habenero margharita if you are into a drink with a spicy kick! 🌶🍸Azteca may look small when you first arrive, but the establishment is fitted with two bars, both upstairs and downstairs. Both the floor above and below are detailed with Mexican and Aztec decor.Overall, this is a great place to grab a drink after a long day at work as well as a fun place to book for a night out with friends or a fun first date.

The margaritas were not disappointing!! Tacos were really delicious too. The sauce they come with was a nice spicy addition 🌮🌮🌮

One of the better Mexican restaurants in London. The tacos and quesadillas are super tasty as well as guac and chips. They also have a wide selection of tequila and mezcal. Recommend this place in west London for good Mexican

These guys passionately throw service, agave goodness and Mexican food in a mix and deliver nothing short of the best spice Chelsea has to offer. A smile with a great beverage and an authentic dish is never far from perfect in my eyes 🔥🍸👍🏻🥳

It is a cozy restaurant, you will feel you are eating in “abuela’s” house. The service is amazing and the food even better. Every time I go there is the same story, definitely worth recommending even though I never leave reviews.

Absolutely fantastic. I have had an amazing experience at Azteca. Delicious authentic Mexican food, amazingly helpful staff and expertly crafted cocktails. The atmosphere is very lively. Must try.

Second visit to the restaurant; the extremely aggregated and basic doorman appears to control restaurant entry. We booked at 9pm, at 10pm the sad faced individual rudely mentioned our booking was not attainable because I had complained about the table being so late. The sad-faced sick kick (managereventually found some trousers and told us we would not get in, making various excuses. The food is average; the doorman and manager resemble droopy eyed, petulant children and can’t control a small restaurant’. If you’re looking to book, please consider throwing yourself off a bridge first.

Great food and we loved the spicy magharitas

Generally I find good staff in a cocktail bar can make your evening. However I found the staff very disapointing here. Had booked a table a week in advance. Noticed the reservation email stated we could only have the table for an hour and a half so I called up to ask if I could extend to two hours. I was told I could have the table for longer if I was happy to sit on the table in the middle of the bar which is usually reserved for walk ins. This table isnt pleasant to sit at because you have people standing over you and brushing past constantly. I therefore decided not to extend the booking and told the manager I wouldnt want to move to the table in the middle. However when I got there the manager had placed me on the middle table so he could accept more bookings. When I called him out on it he tried to make out that I had booked the middle table. There are plenty of other cocktail bars around with great service and staff which makes your evening a lot nicer so I wont be going back here.

Look no further.The one-page menu holds a handful of dishes, with the shrimp tacos making it to the top of my favourites list.The tortilla chips - fresh and warm straight from the kitchen - are worth the visit alone. Dont forget to order the pico.Service is friendly and efficient; the tequila selection vast. Mezcal also available.Great value for money on the food, but booze prices a bit steep.You wont regret checking it out.

I should have written this years ago!A truly excellent bar. Nobody falling over drunk! Always comfortable even cosy.And they match the bar with superb food.I dont rave about many bars in the world....but Im pleased to say this is the first one in London that deserves it! Well done to all the staff and As terrific manager.

I’ve lived in Chelsea for many years. Used to attend this place frequently and noticed the absolute decline in customer service. Staff are quite rude, including the bouncer. Would not visit again! Luckily I found another great Mexican theme venue on Sydney street, called mezcalito. The staff are beyond friendly, food is delicious and the ambience is very welcoming. I had great times in azteca but can not tolerate diabolical customer service, especially with the locals.

I came here to meet some people for after work drinks. I have discovered a great place. I sis not eat the food but I will certainly be coming back for that. This place has a great selection of tequila. I sampled several different and excellent tequilas. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Sadly we did not have dinner reservations so we had to leave as the place filled up.

Came here with for a friends birthday celebration. Staff were ok. Can be seen just leaning on tables looking rather bored. Unbeknownst to us (friends gueststable was only until 11pm.... fine. But for staff to clear the table including glasses which were still more than half full. Not great... at all. For products you have paid for then be taken away from you by a certain time, not really sure how exclusive this place think they are (maybe because of location?When it came to telling the manager we were told that our friend knew that the table was needed by 11pm. And not even offer a replacement. Overall left a disappointing impression even with great food.

Great atmosphere, really helpful staff and are enthusiastic, love Latin American countries and the food which is superb. Never before have I had more chips to guacamole ratio. So many tequilas and regional cocktails. A well sized menu for food keeping it simple but really well done. Id book as it gets super busy at the weekend. Dont sit by the door upstairs as that will drive you nuts. Be prepared to dance past 9pm. Ole!!!!

Delicious cocktails with high quality ingredients and a great variety of. Tequila. Especially the happy hour when the price is £4.80 per cocktail is highly recommended. More cozy space downstairs as well.

Great little find. Very cosy and lovely happy hour cocktails. We only tried the nachos from the food menu but these were great, with fresh ingredients. Well be back again if in the area :)
