Azambezi River Lodge in Zambezi

Nice place but a bit tired - good location and friendly staff enhances the experience, food and amenities the opposite.

Great place with natural wonders,fine refreshing air and totally worth the price...

It was quite a surprise to watch buffalo and elephants come to graze on the grounds as we ate dinner!

Too expensive for South Africans. But a beautiful place.

Went there for boat cruise while I was staying at Elephant Hills. I had the best boat cruise on the Zambezi River at Azambezi River Lodge. I would highly recommend them.

The location in relation to the Zambezi is on point. The rooms suite the environment.

I didnt get much time to be there. Was only there for a training seminar. I did see a difference from the last time I was there in 2005. The suites look a little different from the balcony side. Lunch was amazing though.

Off the regular path but a great hotel. It has all you ever need. A restaurant a bar and a fire pit for after dinner drinks and a good cigar. Wildlife on the grounds so watch your windows and doors if left open. Rooms area good size and huge bathroom. Clean and also a friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is everything you want and food allergy minded. Definitely would stay here again if in Arusha area.

Well there is nothing to take away from the experience I got here! It’s beautiful! The service is amazing. And to top it off, the traditional dance entertainment crew was captivating then the sunset cruise was beautiful. Unfortunately don’t have pictures of the inside lodge itself

Great welcome, great hospitality! The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The food is very good. The location of the hotel is great as there are beautiful views of the mighty Zambezi River. The staff is very courteous, pleasant, responsive and have great attention to detail. I could go back again and again.

Staff very helpful. Amazing place to stay.The shower was the best , comfy bed , best is the mosi net…. We had a swim and swimming pool was very clean and pool towel provided . Joseph was very nice greeted us with a nice cold drink even helped us to arranged someone to clean our hired car. Grace welcomed us. Sani arranged our river cruise with Batoka cruise.Overall an amazing experience .

we had a cocktail there and it was most pleasurable. The food, drinks and ambiance was great by the lodge garden by the side of River Zambezi. It was quite chilly in the evening/night

Buffet was both disappointing in terms of quality/variety and overpriced. The traditional entertainment was great though

Went there for sunset cruise with Batoka Safaris so didnt get to use the rooms or service. The location was very cool and welcoming though

This a beautiful hotel at the water front in Victoria Falls. It has an amazing swimming pool and courteous service people.

Very nice location, close to nature and right on river front, services were good only drawback was that room size was bit small for a family (with a small kidalthough properly cleaned.Property was big with nice pool and gardens and nice view of river.

What a wonderful place! The staff was awesome 👌 The rooms were clean and all have river views. Free shuttle bus to town, the falls, zipline.

Spectacular view of the Zambezi River , with wonderful service delivery, definitely worth the stay.Heritage did an incredible job with their packages and transportation .I would recommend a dinner cruise, kudos to the chefs and captain . Nothing beats watching elephants and hippos taking a bath as the sun sets and casts its radiance on the zambezi river.I would also recommend the Boma dinner, an ambience of electronic energy, tradition , culture and the best cuisine. The buffalo , kudu and crocodile tail were spot on!

The lodge has the most incredible setting on the banks of the Zambezi, the staff are friendly and helpful but everything else could improve. General maintenance is poor and everything looks a little tired. Aircon was ineffective and noisy and the bar fridge was noisy. The restaurant was expensive and below average, bar prices are the same.

Great experience, very professional staff and clean rooms. We really enjoyed our stay and we are definitely coming back soon

It’s simply great! From the moment you walk in you are welcomed by smiling faces and lively atmosphere. From the wild animals you’ll spot outside to the mighty Zambezi river at the back. They will help you out with activities too. Good spot in general

Nice room and ok location are to 4 stars…. But location makes you eat and drink and the hotel too double the prize and half the taste.. and the food and drinks are only 2 stars so together max a 3 star place

Fantastic service at reception....but down hill from there. Shower head was broken. Aircon was noise, TV channels we not turned in nicely and fridge didnt work.

Great food, clean rooms, decent service with staff who really work hard to make your stay excellent, and decent WiFi throughout the facility. Lodge is good value for money for its class. Greatly enjoyed both stays and would recommend them when going to VicFalls.

We had a wonderful stay. The Majestic Vic Falls was outstanding and then dinner at The Boma. The traditional drums were something else!!!

Gorgeously set on the banks of the Zambezi and a few kilometers from the Zambezi National Park. One just has to slide their curtains open for a calming view of the river from ones room. Modernly furnished, the rooms offer amenities one expects. The warning signs for Hippos and crocodiles remind you, how close to nature you are. The dinners were well served although on our 2nd night, it took just over an hour to get our orders, and this was concerning. For those with a taste for game meat, there are various options leaning towards warthog and crocodile on the menu. Tried out the crocodile and bacon salad and I would recommend it to wet the appetite for a bigger course. Waiters were very friendly and the overall stay was good

This place is beautiful, it feels more like a hotel. Everything is just perfect, rooms, bathrooms and all the things yu expect to be in your room is available. Clean towel etc

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location on the river. Room could be a bit more spacious and their bar was expensive in comparison to surrounding hotels and restaurants. All in all, an incredible experience.

WoW WoW WoWWe had an amazing weekend at your resort. Compliments to the chef for the amazing food, and your friendly staff was always available to assist with transfers or advice on activities. We could view elephants and hippos from te restaurant. Can definitely recommend this resort

This hotel spoke to me of what Africa is all about. We were literally within a stones throw from the river front. At night we were visited by hippos, elephants, buffaloes and warthogs. The river cruises and dinner afterwards at The Eatery were fabulous. The people were unbelievably happy to see us and they all took care of us like we were family.

Absolutely loved the place! The rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet was top notch and the stuff was welcoming and attentive. I really have no complaints except my bad luck on not getting to see the known hippo that stays nearby.

We were there for my fathers 60th birthday and the staff did their best to please him. He got a surprise birthday cake .The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were neat and clean. Food was excellent. We saw the resident hippo and other animals on the property. Everything was perfect. We had a very nice stay

Lovely accommodations. Mostly very friendly staff. A bit expensive bar and restaurant. Bar food not the greatest. Breakfast did offer gluten free pancakes and muffins. Great location with wildlife all around. Playful warthogs come to visit. Monkeys too. Really nice local tribal song and dance group performs in the evenings. The waiters just need to be more considerate and not walk in front while taking photos and videos . Very annoying.
