Aye Myit Tar - Burmese restaurant in Chauk, Myanmar
If you like Myanmar taste, try this one.
Lunch in an Air Con room. What else do we need more?
One of the Nice Traditional Food Center in Mandalay! Fresh Indoor Atmosphere, Tasty & Variety traditional foods, Very Nice Service & Fair price. So i love that traditional restaurant.
The Burmese food at the restaurant is good. The dining area is spacious and the room is cool but a little expensive.
Taste good, but not much variety. But, Taste is really good.
You order one main dishe which Myanmar traditional food and get many side dishes.Delicious mutton curry!
Good and tasty traditional Resturent.
Nice place, ubication, staff and really clean! They have beautiful details (free coffee, fruit timeand help you in all you can need (informartion about the city, transfers...).Nice breakfast (Nutella included for choco addicts)
Services excellent. Waiter would check table to table to ensure all customers get served properly. I had several mains which comes with their sides. Cat fish curry, tea leaves salad and an omelet. Very different dishes from where I come from.
Good great even to much portion, much rice salat etc.Value for the money
Maybe this food remarkably well represents local gastronomical tradition. But for someone whos not into local traditions, its just poorly executed mealsI ordered 4 positions (without drinksand none was enjoyable to me - being a big fan of Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisines - but some dished were interesting: never heard that tea leaves can make a soup! (They call it salad)

Decent and clean place with air-con. Very delicious, spicy and flavorful. They offer a wide variety of Traditional Burmese food and the price is cheap. Service was great and staffs were friendly. Overall it was a great experience.
I feed my foreign friends at here. They like myanmar foods. So I am very proud
The main dishes are very delicious and love the side dishes which are free of charge. The place is clean and have A/C, too. And the waiters are helpful and friendly. Overall is excellent.
We went there for dinner, but after having nice local restaurant experiences before z this was a bit dissapoint from taste aspect.. Everything felt pickles and not so fresh..
Traditional burmese food. You order a main dish and get lots of side dishes. Some side dishes were very good, some side dishes had a strong fish paste taste which we are not a big fan of. If you like it or fancy traditional burmese food this is a good place to go for.
Fair price, Good tastes, Good customer service. Extra Curries are also delicious.😋
Great authentic Burmese good at the most reasonable price. Only local people come here to get homely Burmese good. Very hygienic environment, great service large portions per dish.
Good authentic Myanmar food at affordable prices. The staff are so kind and even gave us free extra side dishes. The premise is also pretty clean.
You will get traditional Burmese food here. Waiters are very respectful and food is also tasty. Definitely a place to try out.
I think food are delicious but price is high. 4000 MMK for any dishes. But they provide many side dishes and jeggery. Its atmosphere is cool with airconditioner. Tables are clean and room is spaceious.
Nice and clean.... Mutton was very good.. Immediately served after place an order... A place to go if you want fast food. You dont have to wait just 5minutes to get all served on ur table
Reasonable price. Delicious Myanmar Traditional cuisines. Good hygiene. Nice service.
Authentic Myanmar restaurant.White rice with optional Myanmar cuisines. You need to choose a main dish and they serve side dish and soup.Good table service and elevator can be used to go upstairs.Lunch and dinner are good.
In the beginning we thought it’s a bit expensive, but actually the service you receive value much more!We ordered one chicken curry 4.5k and two juice and you can see what they brought for us! The main food and 7 side dishes and a soup for free! Seems like Rice is for free only first time and when you ask again they’ll charge you for sth like 2.5k!! For not saying this i remove one star! There’s aircon inside which is very relaxing and cool after a long walk in hot Mandalay!recommended
Good homey Myanmar food. Great service but may be a challenge for non-Myanmar speakers but they have menus in English. Lots of extra side dishes watch what you order because your table will run out of space. Rice is free-flow. Eat and enjoy at your hearts content. Highly Recommended for an authentic Myanmar meal in Mandalay.
U need to try this! I ordered 1 curry chicken but come with so many dishes. Nice and autentic burmese food
Super amazing traditional food <3 It’s the best choice in Mandalay <3
This place was recommended by an expat the lives in Mandalay. Good place to try the local food. The place is highly frequently by whays seems like mid class locals. It seems clean.
Traditional Burmese Restaurant. This place is probably a bit pricey for local standard, but the food is very good. Tasty food, clean environment and efficient staff service. Pity they ran out of Yoma beer, which my husband was hoping to try. Car parking can be challenging here.
A MUST in Mandalay. Not only is the food one of the best meals I’ve had in my month in Myanmar, but the service one gets here is out of this world! The vegetable/lentil soup is to die for.
Must try when in Mandalay! Similar concept as Minglabar, but in my opinion here the food is much better. Plus they keep refilling food, rice, tea and sweets. The staff is super nice and the place is hit by locals as well, which proves it must be good ;)
Yummy food but some dishes were hot AF 🌶🔥. They made a special soup for us without meat since were vegetarian. All dishes seem to come with a ton of side dishes so order one per person at most. Bill for two with drinks was around 10k.
One of the best Myanmar Traditional food restaurant in Mandalay with very reasonable price and free side dish.
非常推薦!性價比高且好吃的緬甸傳統美食體驗!Highly recommended! Must to try if you got a chance to visit mandalay. Great Myanmar transitional food in a really fair price. There are many small side dishes along with your orders. There are many locals dinning next to us and the food was testy. We had the tea leave salad ( the dish in every tea shopand fried chicken with special sauces. After food, there was a sweet treat for free if you like to try. Great experiences.
Best Myanmar-style dishes in Mandalay. I love it! Waiter girls are generous and kind to their customers. They are celebrating 30 years anniversary. Good jobs!
Good taste and resonable price.
Not sure why people highly recommended this place. After seeing the next table ordering, I understand that they provided a set menu for every dish you order. Which I guess the reason for the price being so expensive. But it is almost 4 times more expensive than the next road restaurant. What about the food waste that need to be thrown away from every guest?. I think only a few can chew all the side dishes down (firstly because the side dishes come in 5 variants plus the vegetable+sambal, secondly because it might be too spicy or salty for some, lastly because it was all very rich and oily).I think its not worthed that the hefty price paid, end up wasted away.Picture 1:We ordered tea leaves salad and prawn curry. The salad is 3000kyats, the curry is 6500kyats, plus 500kyats tax (you got a sticker on your bill). totalling for 10,000kyats for a two dish, with heaps of side dishes and unlimited rice. But, no tea served at all nor it was offered. The staff pushed to sell fruit juices and alcoholic beverages. While it is a common tradition in all restaurant I went in Myanmar, that the tea is freely available for all customers. So it is quiet a shock to find a restaurant with Myanmars cuisines speciality doesnt follow this custom.Picture 2:Earlier I bought the exact same dish, the tea leaves salad, in the same portion at the Moe Wai Kyaw Coffee just on the next street (they are also a restaurant, not only selling coffees. With AC and non-AC dining areas. And, free hot tea). The tea leaves salad there was only 800 kyats. And more importantly taste wise, the 800kyats tea leaves salad, taste much better.Regarding staffs, they were friendly as all Myanmar people are, but their conversational English was still difficult to be practical. I was expecting for a tourist-targeted restaurant, they would have been quiet fluent.
The food is good and tons of delicious side dishes are offered ! The price are very fair and given the quantity of food it worths twice your money
Very nice Burmese restaurant
Nice place for Myanmar traditional foodClean and hygieneTaste great Service will surely satisfie youA bit expensive but affordable
How this place was only filled with locals blows my mind. Food was delicious and plentiful. I just ordered a salad thinking I wasnt hungry and was brought 5 other dishes. All were delicious. Only 3 dollars for what felt like a buffet. Also staff was knowledgeable and accommodated vegetarians well.
Taste is good, nice service and reasonable charges. But limited for choices.
This place was filled with locals when we went there, and we were surprised at the portion of the food that we had ordered! We ordered 3 main dishes and then got at least 4 other side dishes and unlimited rice and tea and some condiments with it. I would say the food quality is good and hygienic and the place is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend !
Great Places for Myanmar Traditional Food lovers
Real Myanmar restaurant with real Myanmar food. Excellent staff. Great prices. Everything is good especially all the side dishes which makes a great banquet of taste and interesting flavours.
Good Myanmar food. I can not say that it is much better than street food but prices are higher. Side dishes are good. When I was there there were almost only locals.Service is super quick, waiters are friendly and attentive.Restaurant is nice and clean. The location on Google maps is wrong. So you can ask locals and they will help you to find.
Food is various and tasty, order one and get many dishes plus. I always eat great here. Approx. 4000 Kyats per meal. Recommend!
Tasty food served with a smile. The pictures on the menu dont look that appealing, but the food is good. Also, the pictures only show the main item (e.g. mutton currybut itll come with rice, salad and a few side dishes. More expensive than elsewhere, but a lot of food for the money. Note its actually further North on this road than Google currently shows it.
