Awtar, Grand Hyatt Dubai in Sharjah

I have no words to express how relaxed and happy I was in this hotel from the time I booked it till the time I left. The valet parking to front desk to the quality and tidiness of the rooms; was immaculate. This is going to be a definite come back to every time we are here. Although the prices for the next coming stays are quite high but I still gave it 5 ⭐️ because it lived up to that standard and celebrating my anniversary here with all the rose Patel’s and lovely notes and the price was quite reasonable for this stay! I am coming back for sure!

Its a great experience. The ambiance is Very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable especially zahed and Nivedita they really make you feel like you are at your hoom.

Brilliant service from start to finish from valet staff to pool attendants grand hotel inside very large clean plenty of shops and restaurants rooms clean & comfertable, large pools clean, WORD of advice no toothpaste toothbrush shaving foam shaving blades so bring your own, Breakfast is brilliant ample choice, staff here is super attentive and friendly, be aware £1000 security deposit per room and city tax approx £64 is required @ check in. We were family of 8 inc 2 kids 1 & 2 perfect location and perfect for families,

Nice clean rooms and an absolutely massive hotel. Incredible pool and beautiful gardens. Great selections of restaurants. Conference center was well furnished, staffed, and serviced. If I had to pick one negative thing, the room service options are lacking and mediocre--especially considering the variety of restaurants on site.

First time staying here and was a fantastic experience. From the concierge and front off staff to the receptionist to house keeping this was such a pleasant experience. Having a baby with us, all staff were so amazing and the hotel is so baby friendly. Me my wife and baby had a joyous stay and a special mention to Simon at the front, and Hazzam, Roy, abhi, rizan and Karan they are a credit to the hotel

Although this Hotel looks beautiful both the outside and inside, the service from the staff is absolutely poor. The hotel may as well have robots instead of people because the staff lack empathy and emotional intelligence.We arrived at the hotel early and mentioned we are happy to wait till afternoon if the room needs preparing. They made us wait 2 hours for a room, which when we entered we found many faulty issues such as: broken shower, broken telephone, broken iron and the fridge was not working as we needed it. We spent up to 3 hours getting all these issues resolved.So I complained to a slightly senior staff that this is unacceptable, having to wait so long for a room to be prepared and then nothing is working and all we wanted to do is sleep. If it was not possible to prepare the room wed happily leave our things and go elsewhere and explore Dubai. This manager apologised and admitted their mistake. To make up he offered me exactly the same room on three floors above, the only difference was it had a bowl of fruit? HOW ON EARTH IS THAT EVEN AN UPGRADE? They could just give me a bowl of fruit rather than making me walk all the way up and find exactly the same room. Luckily, we didnt take our things with us upstairs so we decided to just remain in our room. The porter who was walking us upstairs even said to us himself that it makes no sense. Its almost like punching someone in the face and then instead of saying sorry to make up, giving them a slap.To further add to our misery, our baby boy was crying for milk so we called guest services for milk. They added 25 AED to our bill for a simple glass of warm milk. We also had issues when we went to the swimming pool with our child, he was only allowed in the kids pool and not the main pool with assistance. The lifeguard LIED to us and said there was new government regulations where children under 5 are not allowed in the pool - I had friends in well established hotels at Dubai at the same time where they were allowed to take their child into the pool with them.The owners of this Hotel really should review the service. Yes, the interiors are very nice and clean and the building looks great from outside but all of that means absolutely nothing, literally zilch if the staff have no common sense, no sense of hospitality and no empathy.I have stayed at Hyatt hotels before and had excellent service. You would think by the name "Grand Hyatt" that the service should be even better here, but it was just terrible. The only good thing about this hotel was the valet staff who seemed to be nice, caring and super attentive. The reception staff, concierge and porters seemed to have no people skills at all.

SUMMARY:Good hotel for a family stay // We stayed two weeks as a family here (2 adults, 2 kidsincl. a half board package (breakfast & dinner)Here are our insights. HOTEL: Great and tidy facilities. Although the hotel is from 2003, everything is kept tidy. Very spacious. ROOMS: the rooms are ok. I‘ve expected more when it comes to space and I‘ve seen better at Rotana or Hilton in the city. For a family of four a family room is definitely to small — what you get is a kingsize bed plus a portable bed (which again takes up the room’s limited space). Hint: take a room in the plus 10th floor garden view and you have a magnificent view of the spacious Pool/garden area which is real nice! POOLS: there is an indoor pool with restricted access for kids (only within special times, whirlpool access not available for kids). The outdoor pool landscape is gorgeous for kids and also includes water slides. The pool area needs some renovation. The pool bar does not have family-friendly prices which is quite disappointing (take a coke for 8 Euro or a scoop of ice cream for 6 Euro). GYM: this is a real surprise: plenty of state of the art cardio and strength equipment in two rooms. FOOD: we had a half board package that included breakfast and dinner. What can I say: there is a good variety of foods and the quality is high. Drinks included for dinner (brand soda, beer, wine etc.). BUT: breakfast takes place at three and dinner at two restaurants to accomodate all guests. However most of the times everything is hugely crowded and consequently the breakfast and dinner atmosphere loses a lot of quality. Also the staff is very „dedicated“ to some guests, e.g. bringing them pizzas to their table (remember, this is a buffetor keeping the drink supply chain up and running. Probably a tip thing (€, $, AED). But well, guys, you should not concentrate on that when the house is really crowded and some of the guests are waiting for drinks to be served… :-( STAFF: the true gem of this hotel: expect for some cases (see dinner experience), the staff truly goes out of their way to make things happen for the guest. We had several incidences during our stay in which this proved. Chapeau! All in all a good stay at the Grand Hyatt.

Visited Andiamo italian restaurant, didn’t stay in the hotel. Great food, shisha and ambiance. Came back twice. Tropical garden in the middle of the hotel is just a miracle.

Amazing hotel. My go to hotel when I visit Dubai. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Large property with plenty to do on site (poolsalong with many dining options.

From the first moment the service was great, the rooms are beautiful and the employees were so friendly. Special thanks to Shivam, Pratap and Jovian for the great service during breakfast and dinner I couldnt have wished for better.If you are looking for a hotel in Dubai, this is definitely a must!

The staff was great and friendly. The room is big and clean. For those who is looking for a quiet pool, this is not the place. There are a lot of children in and around the pool. Maybe it is holiday time.

My favorite place for staycations with my husband or just alone. Rooms and services are excellent. Amazing indoor and outdoor garden. You will feel like youre in a lush tropical place.

Hotel staff were so attentive to our needs and room was spacious. The room temperature was just to my liking. To all the staff over there, keep up the good work and hope to stay again in the future.

It’s a wonderful hotel. The environs with beautiful landscapes and the water streams enhance the experience. The staff is very efficient , courteous and attentive. The quality of upkeep and house keeping is top notch.

I dont know where to start! Its an outstanding hotel with brilliant staff! It was my best experience in my travel times. Heads of to the super nice valet staff (like Karan, dont know the all names but everyone top!whole day in this hot weather outside, respect! Its 100% whenever I will come again to dubai, only to this hotel, so kind, so respectfull, every staff! Love it, and my family loved it also, especially my both kids! Went here to dine in, the hotel is nice from outside. However in the parking lot going to the entrance of the hotel is little dirty.The front desk is kinda messy and I don’t think it’s organize because we are shook how come there are people, I assume guest in the lobby and front desk just wearing a towel.I think they should make some rules the atleast don’t let people or guest wear like that if they are in the lobby as it gives bad expression to people coming, especially if they are conservative people.

Check in time is at 2pm and they claimed couldnt honour that as they allowed guests late check out. How is that the problem of paying guests who want to check in? Then system failure with the keys but claim thats not their problem. Booked 3 rooms but cant be on same floor eve though we had 7 children. Reception claimed hotel was full even though could still make booking on their website. Asked to speak to manager and a man claiming to be manager came out to say sorry and not their problem and we had to take what they gave us and late check was not their problem. Have one room on 12 floor and the other 2 on the 4th floor. Check in times different. Then a lady saw the commotion and came to speak with us claiming the previous person was not the manager. Seems like lies are not a problem at this hotel. Manager promised due to issues she will give complementary lunch or dinner and will call me when I have settled in. Called to say restaurant was fully booked and will call me following day. Didnt call. Went to reception to ask a few days later and was told by the alleged male manager that other manager is off on holiday and now wont honour what she offered. Avoid hotel if you value good customer service

Our visit was from July 23rd to July 31st together with our 9 year old daughter.For me this is the 4th time I have visited Dubai.2008 I stayed at the Shangri La2016 we stayed at Fairmont Palm Island2019 we stayed at Sheraton Grand and this time we stayed at Grand Hyatt.There are a LOT of hotels to choose from and so everytime I decided to choose something else as none of the previous ones blew me away to warrant a return until now.This will definitely be our spot. The hotel is beautiful and stunning. The rooms are gorgeous with daily service. Beginning of July we had a 1 week stay at an also 5 star hotel in Greece ( Ammon Zeusbut nothing compares to what we experienced at Grand Hyatt.The food is delicious. Breakfast was so extensive that you could have something different every day. Wox was our favorite restaurant inside the building. Good food for very reasonable prices. The sushi was delicious too.But what really sealed the deal to make this our go to place for our yearly Dubai visit is the staff. The management should be so proud of their staff. What amazing attentive service they deliver. Sooo many people yet they find the time for every guest. Attentive at breakfast, at dinner through the lobby every service that they provide is attentive.We also used Roli Poli which is a play service for kids up to 12 years. If my daughter had a choice she would have stayed there the whole holiday. Incredible nice people. Kind sweet caring. All of them.We had the honor and pleasure to get the service from Faiz, Kajo, Vikrant, Sujan, Francia and Dina.Im surw they think it was an honor to have us but really the honor was for us to have them take care of us.Whatever training Grand Hyatt provides they need to keep that up and make sure these people are properly compensated as the hotel is gorgeous like many other hotels in Dubai but the employees they are the ones who will make us return.Thank you again to the above employees for making us feel so special especially my daughter by celebrating her birthday with her and giving us a Bon Voyage cake. I mean how sweet!.Grand Hyatt make sure you retain your employees and making sure they are aware of how influential they are with their service and kindness.Thank you for making my daughters first trip to Dubai so memorable!.A guest for life you gained from us.

Awesome Resort! I spent 6 nights here, 5 days. 2 days I did not leave the resort. Great swimming pool. Very well equipped gym which I used twice.Awesome buffet breakfast in the Market Cafe. Also had the buffet dinner here too. Very goodMany restaurants to choose from Sushi, Indian, Lebanese, Singaporean, Italian. I ate at the Sushi restaurant very good!They have free shuttle bus to go to La Mer Beach leaving at 10.30am and to Dubai Mall leaving at 11.30am.Taxi from hotel to Dubai Mall takes about 10 minutes and costs about 32 AED.To airport is less than 10 minutes.

Very good hotel, amazing amenities and facilities, very helpful and attentive staff always there for you no matter the time, cleaners are very quick and respectful, the hotel is absoloutely amazing for short and long haul stays and there is plenty to do within the hotel with 24/7 taxis outside the hotel making it easy to travel anywhere with less than 15 min drive to the airport, sleeping here was good apart from the noisy neighbours who were occasionally noisy at 1-3am but apart from that staying here was amazing 9/10 would stay here again, club rooms were very modern and done to a high specification with very spacious bathrooms and an amazing view of the city too! felt very safe here.

In short the staff in particular the restaurant staff. All the staff in the restaurant were great but 3 people stood out to us. First of all a manager called Rajeev could not do enough to help us and was so welcoming. Then 2 of his staff stood out and they were called Lissa and Roy who were both fantastic at their jobs and so friendly they really made our stay extra special. The only down side was check in as we had booked an extended stay but had to do it as a separate booking and despite us emailing the hotel in advance of arriving and getting confirmation the bookings would be linked they were not. However otherwise the stay was excellent and the staff were fantastic

We stayed at the hotel last month, 20th to 26th at one of their Grand Suites. We loved the room, service was excellent and a very child friendly hotel too. Breakfast and dinner was made extra special because of the lovely attendants Noyal and Abhi.. they always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything at our table.However, one problem though, weve been trying to get in touch via emails and calls after returning back home but no response for a week now. There was a deposit that was blocked on our card for the hotel booking which still has not been reversed after check out for almost a month.

After 10 years since I last visited this place, our family recommended grand hyatt to our family’s friend who turned 50 and her family who visited from Saudi. I’d say the same warmth and welcoming spirit we experienced from 10yrs. ago is still alive and we’re lucky to be served by such lovely staff. As one foodie would say, the way to a hotel guest’s heart is through the stomach 😁 and it’s great to spend time with family and friends in a place where you feel warm and comfortable. on the night of July 14, we got seated in a quiet area, a good one for a fact that there’s 10 of us. Faiz was really great in that evening of my aunt’s 50th birthday, from drinks to presentation of the surprise cake. It was such a sweet gesture to have the team sing her happy birthday as well. We were so happy to see the golden girl enjoying her time. The second night dinner was fun-filled as well with the help of Bikal who was very attentive to everyone’s needs. We were seated in the area just a hand-reached from the drinks (lucky us!Again, the whole team made sure we are on high spirits and enjoying our dinner. On our last day, during breakfast, Faiz, Bikal, Muhammad and the rest made sure we have a great last day, we were seated in the indoor garden area where we were surrounded by the soothing sounds of flowing water/waterfalls, it was great to meet Dina who greeted us nicely. I just want to thank each and everyone of the staff from The Collective by Market Cafe, Mr. Rajeev and the manager from the night of July 14th whom I unfortunately couldn’t remember the name but still thank you for all the efforts. You made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. As a person who experienced the service 10yrs ago back when I was still in my teenage years, I am proud that we recommend this place again and experience the service in my adult years Truly this is not going to be the last time we visit grand hyatt dubai, especially the market cafe ✨

This was the first time me and my family were in Dubai. The experience here was amazing. The food here was amazing as it was a part of our package. My favourite part was the pool. All the staff treated us with car and I would love to stay here again.

It was awesome and one of the best. Its a kids friendly resort. Although thwir food was always the same, still it was great and sumptous. My kids live this hotel and they always want to go back as this is the best resort for them. Spa has a great facilities. They have indoor pool and room has good amenities.

The hotel is nice and the service at the restaurants, pool and kids club is excellent. Check in was very slow and despite trying to agree everything in advance we were told that we had to pay more on arrival. The biggest problem occurred on check out. We settled the bill the night before so we could leave early for our flight but when we tried to leave we were told there was a problem with the bill but they couldn’t tell me what it was. I asked if we could sort it out later as we had to catch a flight but they refused to give our bags back until we queued up at reception. This was stressful as we then had to rush to catch our flight. Given the amount we had paid for the room and the fact that they had our card details I thought this was unprofessional. I later complained but the hotel insisted that it was entitled to retain our bags to sort out the bill even though we had paid the night before.

It is a really great place, but not as good as it used to be. This is because the market has changed, we used to book a club room which gave you access to the executive lounge. Now it has changed to half board plus where your dining is in the market place, drinks 6pm - 8pm it became difficult to get a table for a meal because people were staying for drinks. Another thing they had comfy sunloungers, now they are 3 star.

We went with college’s to Grand Hyatt Dubai last night we had dinner at Ballroom and it was an amazing! More I would share its food … very delicious food we tried kebabs, chicken with chestnut different kind of rice and desert. It was very very tasty. Ice cream station I couldn’t find unfortunately but overall I like it so much! Personal very kind when I asked for hot drinks it was immediately served by the waiter, Chief Ramin kind and helpful! I really suggest you for all!Thank you so much and wish you be successful !

One of the best hotels. My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Grand Hyatt Dubai.At checkin t Sam at front desk was so welcoming and nice. He gave us one of the best room on level 12. A very nice lady Jackie told us about places enjoyable for our daughter.Room was fantastic with a perfect view of the garden and also very clean.Food was sensational. It was included in our package and every single thing was yummy . Well done chef👌All the staff were so kind and helpful. At the restaurant one of the guy Hazem made beautiful dishes for our daughter and made her breakfast and dinner special.

Nothing to complain (German style of saying excellent hotel :D). The pool area is really big and definitely needed for the temperatures over here. The service is always gentle and welcoming, but there is a big shoutout needed on noyal and abhi. You guys are rocking 🤘

Paid good money at this hotel. Haven’t seen my father in 11 years and we met here. I had a big problem with the way they conduct their service at the restaurants especially the sushi place. They don’t understand the difference between attentiveness and pestering when waiting on you. If you like to go a place where you cannot even enjoy your meal because the servers pester you then this is the place for you. The servers were in our face so much I didn’t even get to enjoy my meal. After the third time of kindly asking not to be bothered for 5-10 minutes with no luck, the fourth time , I told the server please after this one time please tell your colleagues not to approach our table again for 10 minutes because we are having critical conversations , 1 minute later another server, again, is in-between me and my father again trying to wipe down our table. I respectfully asked for some privacy but the servers like some sharks circling us and watching us eat the whole time wouldn’t back off. Ruined my entire dinner experience. I will not be eating there ever again or returning to this hotel simply due to the fact that the hotel took no responsibility after I voiced my concern and addressed it with condescending smiles on their face. I can’t give a one star because there were gem employees like Roshan an employee at the concierge table who was very kind and helpful with respect to other requests and also the pool staff had helpful employees. I’m completely bummed out and sitting here writing this lengthy review when I should be enjoying my reunion with my father. I’m very disappointed. Farewell grand Hyatt , see you never again.

Amazing hotel with absolutely awesome staff, including Sridhar, who couldn’t do enough for our family each breakfast and dinner. Room was lovely, cleaned each day and any issue or question we had was quickly answered, either at Reception or on the phone from the room. Pool was great, attention staff and great facilities.

A wonderful stay in this incredible hotel, which of course offers very comfortable conditions (large and luxurious rooms, many services available in the hotel, absolutely magnificent indoor and outdoor swimming pool, etc.). The most impressive I think is the size of the hall, organized around an interior garden with a river, and the great diversity of atmospheres and offers of the many restaurants. A special mention for the market cafés fantastic breakfast and the friendliness of its team, especially Rabii, Lisa, Julie, Rizan and Nadi. Thank you all!

The Grand Hyatt Dubai is a wonderful place, the staff are their greatest asset, they really are fantastic in this hotel. Every single staff member seemed happy and genuinely sincere. The rooms are wonderful too, stylish, large and comfortable. They’re really nicely done. The lights in the room were a bit annoying, some times you want just one light on but it didn’t seem possible. Some of the 5 star benefits had been removed in this hotel like free water by the pool, also the sun loungers are very 3star IMO. There wasn’t any flexibility in the dining time which didn’t quite suit us. The quality of the food on the buffet was excellent, regularly replenished and the staff worked hard to look after us with the drinks orders etc. it can get quite busy… the hotel is still using single use plastics for toiletries which is a big annoyance of mine because I end up picking them off the beach. Plastic in the ocean is absolutely shocking and I’d encourage anyone reading this to also mention it in their review as we can drive change. These plastic bottles are incredibly fiddly to use in the shower and a pump dispenser is much easier. So the hotel is wonderful in lots of ways but there is room for improvement in some areas but I’d like to say again how wonderful the staff are! Thank you to everyone who looked after us.

From start to finish, the experience at the Grand Hyatt was amazing! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Check in process was smooth, we got everything settled and went straight up to our room which was so clean, welcoming and felt like home. The hotel is really family orientated, our 22 month old also felt like she was at home. The pools are amazing to sit by with so many options. The kids one was particularly enjoyable for the little one. The staff on site are super friendly, constantly greeting you, checking you are okay, ensuring you are happy and just love to chat. The food experience was on a different level, it was shame we didnt get to try all the resturants, but Andiamo and Wox were amazing! Such big portions and the flavour was out of this world. The market cafe for breakfast and dinner is one of the best buffets we have ever been to. The food was always hot, fresh, flavoursome, spoilt for choice and no matter how full you are always making you want to go back up for more. Be prepared to gain some pounds!...A special shout out to Rhiannon (Who was always so polite and helpful at breakfast and dinner getting us seated), Jackie (at the front who made a special connection with our little girl), Isaac, Frizki, Hemie, Nadeem, Deepak, Rabii, Vineet, Vinoth, Rajeev who made our eating experience an amazing one, and finally to Nora who made the check in experience really smooth!

Second time at Grand Hyatt and never fails to impress. Nothing is a problem. All staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Will be back again soon Grand Hyatt thanks for a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend you.

This is a very good hotel. Clean, renovated, friendly and well located.I would give it 5 stars, the reason why I put 4 stars is:1. Valet service is congested2. Breakfast is not what you expect and congested.3. Swiming pools are congested. Using salty water in pools doesnt give you the best refreshing feeling.

First family trip abroad and couldnt have chosen a better place than the Grand Hyatt. The stay was pleasant, they catered to all of our needs. I was very pleased with the way they have accommodated us as the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and supplied us with loads of water and fresh fruits. We also had a great time at the pool.The only little suggestion I would make is to have more breakfast choices for the hot section, as it was the same every day.I will definitely be coming back to the same hotel again in the near future.

Great hotel with great staff who are happy to help immediately.Hotel has 3 different level pools which makes it great for kids and pool side service is great.Hotel has a number of restaurants which are epicabily great to eat at.I would advise to get the all inclusive option as some of the restaurants are not available in the evening...designated for all inclusive paid members.

Only stayed here for 1 day. We had flight delay in Dubai with Emirates who arranged for us to go here. The hotel itself was very good, staff were professional and efficient. Our room was very comfortable. Good pool area as well. Perfect for either business or pleasure. The buffet style restaurant had a very wide choice to suit all tastes. The central area of the hotel has an extensive indoor garden area with a real stream running through it. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property with great location advantage as it offers great dining experience as well as activities to make the stay fun filled. The rooms are nice and spacious ans the property is well maintained. Staff hospitality is very good and people are very friendly. Many food joints are just walking distance away and metro station is near by. Hotel gives a nice view of Burj and its landscape. Experience of great stay and great taste.

Great hotel, family friendly, many pools for all ages and needs and, most importantly, very friendly staff and Uber helpful front desk people.I must say, a lovely lady during check-in asked what my children like for a snack, my wife said bananas…. So there was a gentleman with a plate of bananas waiting in front of our hotel room.How did that happen so quick is still a mystery!We got the club room access for us and our children, and also chose to dine at the lovely Iftar tent since we visited during Ramadan.Beautiful memories were created at the Grand Hyatt Dubai that will remain with us for a lifetime. - Recommended!!

Second time of staying (stayed in May 2019and still a great hotel. Friendly staff. Only fault was the sunbed quality. Last time we stayed, there were very full cushions on the sunbeds. These seemed to have disappeared and replaced with plastic beds which were not as comfortable. We had a Family Suite which didnt disappoint.Staff were very friendly at The Market Cafe especially Lissa who looked after us every lunch time.IZ is a nice Indian restaurant. All the restaurants were nice.

We spend 10 days with two young kids in this lovely Resort/City Hotel. The location is great to explore the city. The family rooms are spacious, the pool area really great, always very clean and meet the need of everyone: toddlers, kids and adults.The pool service team could be a bit quicker and more proactive, sometimes it took a while to find a waiter. The breakfast is sometimes crowded and split over 4 restaurants. There are big differences among the restaurants but its at any time your choice to wait for your prefered spot.The restaurant waiters are amazing. We were served by Lissa frequently. She was so welcoming and friendly that we enjoyed every dinner to the fullest. Overall a very good experience we will certainly try other Grand Hyatts in the future as well.

This Hotel has been one of the best in Dubai and our choice for many years for both business and recreational trips...considering their price range, the rooms are now in dire need of renovation..a big flat screen is no substitute for decent and unworn furniture, clean carpets and working toilet flushing systems... a pity really, as the hotel as such with the great pool area, the really good restaurantsand the always friendly staff, would deserve a good touch up and a return to the more glamorous days when windows were clean, and carpets less sticky...Ill return to the Grand Hyatt nonetheless and hope to see improvements...
