Авиомузей Бургас - Museum in Burgas, Bulgaria
Авиомузей Бургас in Burgas
Description
Fantastic museum where most of the aircraft are open to let you see inside or sit in the cockpit. Wonderful experience
MoreI had an amazing experience here. There are like ten airplanes with five where you can enter. An-2, An-12, Tu-154 which is big and one mig-21 and 17 though if you can fit in them. There are souvenirs in the An-12 which you can buy. Price was 6 leva for 1 adult and for students 4 leva. Would recommend a visit when in Serafovo.
MoreNice place!
We were offended. We arrived at 7.33 p.m. We were not allowed to visit a museum. Tickets were being sold till 7.30 p.m. There is not this info anywhere.
MorePlace is wonderful you can spend time there if your flight is delayed for a low price around 10 leva. Amazing history that you can see and get on-board of most the planes such as the Tupolev 154 the Antonov 2 and lots more
MoreVery interesting and fun place. The planes are preserved and can be entered. There is a student discount.
MorePlace is must-see for every aviation fan (not onlywho travels to Burgas region. If you enter here, you can literally see aviation history ✈️
MoreIf you have time at Burgas Airport, visit this lovely place🛩️
A wonderful place to visit and its conveniently located on-site Burgas airport. You can get in planes, take photos and learn about the history of Bulgarian aviation. One can see that people have put lots of thought into creating this museum. Also very friendly and welcoming staff.
MoreMust be seen! The crew of the museum volunteerely spent a few years to recover every single narrow in planes’ cabins, so the planes can be at its manufacturer condition.
MoreCheap and very attractive for kids. Our 4yo son couldnt decide to which airplane go at first 😅For 2 adults and 1 kid we spent 8 leva.
MoreInteresting, you can enter couple of planes.
Bestest museum ever, I dont have enough hands to point at it!Not too much of area, but the few exposed items are restored very good. You can get into passenger, cargo and military planes.Staff that worked on restoration is there and they are eager to tell you about it.You can poke into drawers and doors of the TU plane and you will find all stock equipment. If you are aviation nerd, it is a must-visit.
MoreGreat museum but no storage space for luggage at all. As its in the airport grounds, most visitors are coming or going to the airport and have plenty of language. Staff is nice and polite. Overall 4 stars as storage facilities are much needed.
MoreGreat exhibition of Soviet era airplanes. Visitors can board most of them.
Free to enter, you only pay 3€ if you want to get inside the planes
Great place show the Bulgaria old planes
9 airplanes, you can sit in cockpit of legendary MIG 17, and MIG 21.
The place is actually soo exciting! The staff is wonderful and so sweet! Youre allowed to touch some weird stuff, play interactive games and open up little cabinets to see whats inside. Theyve got such cute souvenirs and the planes are renovated quite well actually. The only thing that made me remove a star was the fact that the virtual reality station was closed at the time I was visiting, however there was still enough to see and learn about. The staff will be happy to tell you anything youd like to know about and the different employees there know about different matters so you can meet and talk to each and every one of them. I could not find a toilet there, but I am sure they have one, at least in one of the planes haha. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed each and every single one of the planes inside and out! I also got to see how they close the place and it was interesting how they just lock the actual doors of the planes and thats it! The planes are out in a little park per say and they can only lock the planes one by one which was cool to know. I would definitely recommend you to visit the museum, I had a great time and for such a low price on top of all.Would recommend 8/10
MoreSmall and cosy, a lovely collection. Friendly welcoming staff. Great value for money!
MoreThe best Avio-musium in Bulgaria, as the city of Burgas itself. Wish to The city to become the small Barcelona, soon.
MoreI recommend. There was no entrance a few years ago. Now there is. You can get on many of the planes and look at them from the inside. The place is very well done and worth it.
MoreThe museum of aviation is very interesting. Recommended to visit it
Interesting place but the Tu cockpit is actually closed.
The exhibits are not in perfect condition (not well maintainedbut it worth it.
Small but really nice museum, you can see the cocpit and you can go inside the plane.
MoreIts amazing
Woderful museum that shows the rich history of the aviation in Bulgaria. Worth the visit!!!
MoreThe museum is modest, but very nice made. There are 9 aircrafts, incuding a MIG-21, and a TU-154. You can enter most of them, including the 2 fighter jets. The jet cockpits are mising some instruments, but still when you sit inside you can feel what it woud be like to fly one. The staff, young aircraft entusiasts, is knolageble and keen to answer any question. There is a good value family ticket. Keep in mind that, if you are with a car you will have to pay the airport parking (for us it was 5 bgn for 2 hours)
MoreA small museum, but the ability to view the aircraft in detail from inside the cockpit makes it a great one.
MoreVery cool place to spend an hour or so.
Very good museum. The staff is wonderfull and will help to have a nice experience. The the training simulator is th hight light of the visit. But isnt for th faith of hearted. :)
MoreNot too many planes, but the museum is quite nice
Saw it when flying out but no time to visit it
Great place! Nice for kids!
Come a bit earlier for your flight and see it. Its nice!
Young and energetic people guide you through the history of the Bulgarian aviation. Although the exhibits are not many I had great fun poking the ins and outs of the planes!
MoreWonderful place, intresting🙂
Its a nice little museum to kill some time while waiting for someone or your plane. You can climb in a few planes + a Mig fighter jet. There is also a VR experience, in a real cockpit, but they let you have fun, for only a minute or two :(.
MoreAwesome place to spend one hour exploring old aircraft.
This is a must-see attraction in Burgas. They possess a number of different planes, the main attraction is Tupolev 154, you can actually get in it and look around, including the cockpit.
MoreLoved it. Great place
Nice stop while we were in Burgas. Fun to climb into the fighter planes. Flight simulator. And also for adults/older kids a "ride" for being used to flying upside down. Chance to see planes up close.
MoreIt was very interesting visiting this museum 👌🏻I recommend it 👍🏻
5 planes one helicopter
Great feel of the past
