Avilon Zoo in Jalajala

I guess this is one the the most wonderful zoos i have been to (here in the phil)... The place is really big and is filled with trees and plants which really makes it look and feel like a jungle 🌴👌👌 surprisingly it is full of different species, from exotic to farm animals! ... Twas a great experience to have had a close encounter with them as well... Great place!

Tons of room for improvement but definitely has good roots.Ticketing was very accommodating since I thought there would be card payment options given the price per head. We settled via personal gcash transfer.Could use a good cleanup and trim or two but provided their limited staff, it would definitely be hard to do that daily. I saw expansion areas being built though so who knows. The repaired cracked glass on the tunnel area of the leopard enclosure sure is concerning but funny as well. It gave a "it just got real" feel to the enclosure. The number stop system was confusing as well. Given the price, a map would be better.Fun experience but heres to hoping for more improvements.

I highly recommend Avilon Zoo. We visited this zoo to celebrate my sons birthday. The zoo is very vast but you will not get lost because they have put up numbered posts that you can follow so you can efficiently see all the amazing animals. My son especially enjoyed feeding the giraffe and the rabbits. We spent a good 2.5 hours inside the facility. As a souvenir, my son picked a tiger friction vehicle at their shop. For a zoo, there were minimal bugs.Zoo proper: 4/5Since it rained yesterday, the floors were a bit slippery but there were signs so it was ok. There are parts of the zoo that are leaking (caves/under bridgesso you need to be careful when walking/passing. There were minimal crews going around the zoo to assist or serve as guides too. Its a really large area so you must be prepared to walk for a longer time.Main Attractions: 4/5The Giraffe feeding was the highlight of our visit. For P100 pesos you can feed and interact with Bhari the giraffe for a few minutes. There was also a station where you can feed other animals for a minimal fee but we opted not to go there because we were already tired.

We had a great time here, not crowded when we went there so we enjoyed the environment minus the mosquito :some of the road are slippery since its raining, I suggest theres someone to remind the people.but overall its a great experience :)

There are a lot of animals but many can be commonly found in other zoos, even in private keepers as well. What makes the entrance fee worth its price is getting to see Barry the giraffe. Some enclosures badly need maintenance and I think Avilon is understaffed at the moment. It’s understandable though because of the pandemic. I recommend buying tickets online. We bought 4 tickets for only 1800 Php (3+1 promo).

It is very far from the metro but the experience for the family is superb! Make sure to bring water, extra shirts, towel, cap… keep yourselves hydrated since most of the exhibits are outdoor.

If you love animals, youll definitely enjoy here.

A huge place the kids will really enjoy. Not so sure for adults though. A lot of hikes and climbs, so not so fun for me. Theres a lot of animal species there too; knowing the kids of this generation, theyll love it them.

The place has lots of animals but needs more attention to cleanliness of their cages and water... Some animals might be experiencing heat exhaustion. But nevertheless, we enjoyed especially my son.

Their enclosures seem big enough and recreate an ideal environment for most of the animals we saw.The zoo could use more informational signs about the animals and a map with details of each area but we had fun

Whats good about this place is very organized and not too crowded. Animals are looking healthy and some are rarely seen compared in the zoos that weve visited before. Make sure to bring towels, water and fan. Visit as early as you can - they are open at 8AM.

If you can only choose one zoo to bring your kids to, this is the one I recommend.The animals look healthy and they seem to be taken well cared for . There are some animals where you can interact with them, something kids really enjoy.Theres also a canteen where you can eat and refresh yourself before going back into the fray, because its big, around 70 stations big.Overall a great and enjoyable experience you can have with your loved ones.

APR.2022 - Wonderful place for all ages.As per the staff, it is 7.5 hectares and ramps are accessible for stroller/wheelchair. There’s a station to feed animals and for photoshoot (extra fee applies). Excellent staff and customer service.

Place is big around 7ha so wear comfortable shoes. Bring extra shirts and water. Start early since its very hot already around 11am. Bring umbrella. Smooth pavement and there are provisions for strollers and wheel chairs.

This place has 70 stations to complete. It would be nice if there is a map handed over to us for easier for us to explore the place. So much fun i hope maexpand pa yung mga species of animals.

Most enjoyable part of the zoo is the feeding station (giraffe, guinea pigs, goats, sheeps and rabbits), other than that its just your standard menagerie. The place is very spacious and good for families with kids as there is plenty of space to run around in (plenty of toilets also). Well maintained. Though they can really use an upgraded pavillion with better food and drink options.

Good experience, lots of animals to see there and you can even feed some of them or take photos with them. Its a bit far away from the center of Manila, but well worth the visit. Theres also drinks and food available for a fair price.

It was a great experience. Make sure to experience this with groups because it will be a long walk! Its better if you go there in the morning because it wont be so hot. Enjoyed feeding them and petting those you are allowed to pet. Many areas are closed but all in all, its nice, clean and you feel like its a rainforest.

Took a trip with my family on my second sons birthday. The place is great and too big to explore in one day. Lots of restrooms in between stops for people with kids. Having the chance to feed animals with area bought food is also a plus and a good experience.

Avilon Zoo has been well maintained ever since its beginnings. The animals and their enclosures are properly maintained and comparable to zoos from abroad (albeit not the best but still good). It was nice bringing the kids here, plenty of space and ample parking. Seems like there are also new constructions around the park for future expansions, cant wait. Will definitely be back.

The zoo is located in Rodriguez Rizal. It opens at 8am. Normal ticket price is 800. Tickets are cheaper if bought online thru KLOOK. On the way to the zoo you will pass a market with narrow road and a road with overflowing river water.

We visited December 2021 and bought discounted tickets via Klook. The management implemented a route to ensure social distancing among guests where you will have to follow numbered arrows to go through the zoo. We were able to see all attractions. Caution for those with strollers or using wheelchairs, some accessibility ramps have been closed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.Each area has accessible and clean toilets. there are also staff who check the cleanliness.Only a few shops are open. Food/Drinks not allowed once you go to the actual zoo area. Make sure to eat/drink at the entrance pavillion before you embark on your trip around since you might get hungry midway.There is an area for feeding animals. This is a lot of fun especially for kids.Overall a great experience. Keep it up!

We went on December and although there is a bit of a crowd, we did not feel cramped because the zoo is huge. There are numbered signs that you follow so will not miss any attraction. Feeding is allowed for some animals and you can pose for pictures and this is organized. Your group will have an alloted time, and you line up when its not your time yet. Take note that you cannot buy tickets onsite, you have to get them online. And, if youre going on a weekend, there are lots of bikers on the highway.

Our experience was very educational. The zoo was so clean. Just make sure that you are ready for a long walk, follow the trail so that you can see all the animals, stay safe and hydrated..Enjoy😊🤗👍

very nice experience to bring your kids especially after the series of lockdowns. there are a few animals that you can feed but must be strictly fed with zoos food only. the rate is always 50php to feed them. most of the animals are looking healthy and seem well taken care of. the nicest experiences for the kids include getting to feed the giraffe, feeding rabbits and hamsters, letting birds sit on head/shoulders, and my personal favourite, was feeding the huge arapaima fishes!

It was quite an adventure going here and since I went with family, it was unforgettable! The animals are well-fed and well taken care of. Feeding the giraffes was exciting! The tigers wooing and courting each other was heartwarming. It is one of the best places for a family outing!

Ok to bring kids but please wear your masks and distance yourself from other visitors. Bring lots of water and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. There will be a lot of walking. Hats and umbrellas for the sun as well.

most important it has parking space. a very huge place, there are a lot of animals to see. the most attraction there is the giraffe.pro tip: dont bring a lot of stuff while touring around, just bring your camera and tissue.

They allowed kids but with strict protocols such as wearing facemask all the time, following social distancing, and allowing only 30% people inside. We had fun eventhough it rained when we visited the place. Be sure to allot all day walking because the place is huge.

It was a fun experience! Felt safe throughout my stay. The place was clean and the animals look well taken care of. A lot of animals to see, definitely worth the travel and the price. Happy about the feeding activities for kids. All in all 5 stars!

Its so fulfilling to finally see kids run around a big open space like this! Its a good idea to wear comfy shoes and only bring essentials.But if youre planning to bring a lot of things--you might as well bring a baby stroller. Use it as a pushcart for your things ooooor for a very tired out kid 😅The animals, plants, and enclosures are well-maintained. The staff is also friendly! Some areas within the zoo are understandably closed. There are also a couple of rennovations within the compound. Dont let it put you off though--I think its so nice to see that there are ongoing efforts to preserve and improve the place ☺Lastly wear a mask and maintain social distancing 😷 Be responsible visitors, so more kids will get to experience normal kid things like going to the zoo 💙🧡❤

By far the best zoo in the Philippines. They have a wide variety of animals that you can see and have interaction. Altho the place needs some serious up keeping in some areas already. Hope they can maintain the zoo well

The best zoo in the Philippines. Large collection of exotic animals from different continents: large and small mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish. Spacious grounds with places for rest and refreshment. Guests are not allowed to bring food in the grounds, but bring plenty of drinks: you and the kids will need lots of it! Kids will surely love this zoo for the animals (some which they can feed). Parking though is limited for such a large place and you have to go through congested areas to get there. Worth the trip!

We had a great time! Theres tables and chairs near the entrance where we had our lunch. You can bring your own baon inside. After lunch, we started walking to check out the animals. We just followed the numbers along the way and we were able to finish it in time. The giraffes are a must see and the kids had fun feeding them. Its a long walk but we enjoyed every minute of it. There were still ongoing repairs and other areas were closed. Over all, it was such a fun filled day well spent.

This place might be old and needs some improvements but this zoo still has its charm. The place is quite spacious with many different kinds of animals. Has a lagoon with araphimas swimming, which you can feed chicken (50 PHPa tub. Interact and feed their 2 giraffes with carrots (50phpgoat, and sheeps for also 50phpinteract and have your picture taken with their lovely parrots.This place is struggling to survive the pandemic season, I suggest we support them and visit the place. Online purchase promo is at 600PHP and 800PHP for walk-ins. They are already accepting kids of all ages and senior citizens. Not too busy on weekdays so you dont have to worry about the crowd. Has ample parking space (free of charge). 1hr drive from Pasig. They are open from 8AM TO 5PM. If you cant visit the beach during the pandemic season, this is a great family bonding experience. I think, its safe to say that this is my most favorite Zoo in the Philippines. Dont worry about Covid-19 in this place its way too spacious, guess what the its 6-7 hectares. I felt like a kid again while strolling around Avilon Zoo with my friends. I love the fact that the animals looked like they were well taken care of. The zoo has so many wonders to offer, as much as I would like to spoil here, I wont go in detail because I truly wish that you can experience it yourself, just trust me in this part. Lets start with the area going to the zoo, its quite underwhelming outside but believe me, once youre inside, its like a different world. 😁 You may also buy the ticket through klook.com if you want to save some money and time. Avilon, has 70 stations, they have this big colorful sign board everywhere so you wont get lost. About the animals inside, of course, before I forgot, youll be overwhelmed and happy. When you leave the place, youll have a big smile on your face. You may also buy food inside and drinks too. Bring your kids, its for them (and us the kids at heart 😉). Didnt expect that there will be so many guest during the valentines day. for those who are not aware, there an og-going constructiin of the bridge goi g to the zoon amd a detour is in-place (good thing I was abke to see this from their site when I was booking the ticket)

3rd time to visit this zoo. definitely has less animals in its collection now than when it was newly opened more than 10 yrs ago but still a joy to visit. kids will definitely enjoy. pandemic-friendly. just follow the arrows 1-70. good for hiking.

Bring a face mask if your sensitive to smell. Its 800 per person if you are a small group, the 500 is good for large groups.Still 1.5 hours from Makati its best 8-12 and on weekday because of the small crowd.A lot of stagnant water so bring mosquito repellant. Bring a lot of 50p change for the many opportunities to feed and take pictures. The kids are going to enjoy those memories.Our little girl cried leaving. She likes animals so this was a very good place. I think its value for money given Philippines conditions. I believe the price is cheaper in other countries because of govt subsidies so it should not be compared. Philippines wont get that kind of considerations.All in all a good experience for kids to have the curiosity needed to make them do well in STEM subjects.

One of the best zoo in the Philippines, but way too far from other countries zoo. Government should give incentives to the few remaining zoos in the Philippines.Could use some renovation. We visited twice in the span of 6 years. Its deteriorating really fast.

A great place for kids and a wonderful alternative to Manila zoo. It is clean and well maintained. It needs a proper map though. The map should be provided to all guest and contains the feeding times of the animals as well as the times of the shows that they provide.

2nd time to come here, entrance for adults is 700, kids 400, they give senior discounts, lots of animals, from fish, birds, reptiles, insect and mammals. Some animals are in good condition some dont look good or maybe their enclosures should be nicer or bigger. Staffs are friendly and helpful, ample parking area.
