Good place to go for an half day trip from Bangalore. Easy to reach, roads are good, good parking space and have nice food to eat. Reach there before sunrise so that you will enjoy the sunrise over there. Single stone which is in the hill top is the main attraction and worth an picture over there. Take water bottle when trekking because might be sunny while doing an trek. There is an temple situated in the hill top as well. Take around 1hour to trek if ur doing it slowly. You can reach to hill top in vehicle as well if your performing some Pooja in the temple.

Cliff on the backside of the temple. Its a prohibited area and police keeps guarding the place. Might be better to go on week days as lesser crowd eases out police ptrolling.

Crazy place, now they have put barricades to the spot but talk to the guards and try to squeeze in if you know what i mean. Make sure the visit happens early in the morning or during sunset. It’s almost a 30min trek/walk.

this place mostly we see in Google now prohibited completely. people are not allowed to go there. i saw policeman moving everyone from that area who manage to go there instead of the warning. but you can go to top where temple is there. and the roadside view was too good as monsoon is in peak now kind of. enjoyed the journey. apart from that particular place as when we reached it was fully raining and covered with clouds/fogs on top so couldnt enjoy the view from top.

Located nearly 100 km from Bangalore up north is this place of scenic beauty for thrill seekers. One of the best thing is to ride a bike to reach the destination before 6 30 AM to experience the majestic sunrise and the clouds blazing past the top of the hills. Start your journey around 4 15 from Bangalore to experience the same. One can simply use the roads to reach to the top or can use the track(pagdandito save time and enjoy the trekking. At the top theres a temple and hell lot of monkeys eyeing on your back pack. Very picturesque and breathtaking views full of hills and valley can be seen from the top.

Its a very pretty ride, wonderful for a day trip. Make sure you have an extra bottle of water once you reach as you wont get anything at the top. There are a few hawkers at the parking area selling coconut, cucumber and water so make sure you have some snack just in case if you need it. Keep in mind that its one hell of a uphill walk.

Beautiful place but view point is closed police dont allow to visit the view point only till temple it is allowed. There are two ways to go from the parking area to temple by trekking its by car way i.e, 2kms and from trekking way its 1.5 kms. Its better to go by early in the morning to avoid heatwave.

Avalabetta Hill, Yerramaranahalli, Karnataka is a nice open hill top within a wide range of the scenic area. It has a nice hill view from a range of places in this tourism place. Nice place to visit, for a good trek like walk and a good outing spot with friends. It is also a good long drive to consider from nearby living places like Bangalore.

View point is beautiful. Trekking is in beginners level. One should visit right after rainy season or at the end of rainy season, as you fill find some water in the small pond, which is at the hill top. Picture is taken best when water is present in the pond.

Its a 2km trekking betta. Its 40km from nandhi hills. There is a narasimha swamy temple at the hill top and from where we can have good view. We reached around 11am and we were not allowed till view point. We had some great time near the temple and came back. There is no proper toilets and hotel near the hill like nandhi hills. The bathrooms are 15km from the avelebatta which is at Indian oil petrol bunk. The hotels near by also doesnt have toilets. There are 3 small small shops on starting point of betta they sell tender coconut, water bottles, cucumber, butter milk, biscuits and chips. There is enough parking at starting point. They dnt allow vehicle near the temple without permission. The temple and view is 2kmThere is some prohibited reserved forest area.

Located in Chikkaballapur district is one of the easiest treking destination you can pick. This destination is roughly around 90 kms from Bangalore. You have ample parking area. This is where you start the trek.On the top of the betta (hillis a temple that houses Lord Narasimha and Godess Lakshmi. You can also drive up the hill if you are carrying items to conduct Pooja at the temple. The climb would be some 40-50 steps. If you really want to trek, park your vehicle in the parking lot and proceed.Theres 2 paths for trekking here. While you start your trek on the pathway (roadleading to the top, you can take the steps in a couple of spots else stick to the road if you prefer it comfortable. As you start to ascend, the view starts getting better. Through the path you can see a lot of litter which is very dissapointing. The view from the top is amazing. Note that the temple is not the final destination. Theres a Godess Lakshmi temple further up and the view from up here makes it worth that extra effort. You will need to explore around the 2 temples. To the RHS of the Narasimha Swamy temple is a restricted area which would lead you to the popular protruding rock, the photos of which are posted by many folks been here earlier. This is now a restricted area which is completed fenced and is manned by a cop. You can only view that rock from a distance. The temple has a pretty reasonable ambience and is maintained well. The Lakshmi Devi temple is closed mostly. Its just for the view that I suggest you should climb further up.Theres a lot of monkeys at the temple premises so you better be careful of the eatables you carry.

Very good experience. We went there by Motorcycle. Journey started from Hosur. Around 153 kms distance. To reach the top you have to do a little track. Now a days they are not allowing near to the main clif edge. Which is the main attraction.Nearby so many vineyards and Wine factories are there. You can visit. It will be a good experience also.

Start early to reach the top to avoid the intensity of the sun. The famous selfie or photospot is closed for public. However guard there seems to be lenient for some bribe. I have not done bribing myself, its up-to you. Take steps to the top if you are trekking, they do allow vehicles, again for some fee or bribe, not sure. I have seen vehicles on the road going up the mountain, but gate was closed while i was entering.Lastly please don’t litter.

Serene spot to visit for a simple trek, not much crowded even on weekends.. max 20-50 people in total... Comfortable trek as you can walk on the road that leads to the guesthouse on top or you can take the faster and tricky route that goes cuts through the jungle. Amazing view from the top ... Do not leave your belongings without supervision as there are many monkeys. Carry whatever you need just dont litter.!

Parking is available downhill, but if you are going for Pooja offering then you can take your vehicle uphill, descent road goes till the temple, mostly everyone is taking their vehicle to the top. Few stalls selling tender coconut, snacks etc are available. Go to the second temple at the top for beautiful scenic view.

Amazing experience. One of the best spots around Bangalore for Trekking. You need to be there at the Hill top by 8. Else cops chase you away. The main spot for Photos is completely restricted. But there is a better place to relax even beyond/above that.Avalabetta Hill is must visit place for trekkers and nature lovers. The view is breathtaking from the Top. Beware of Monkeys 🙈

Good small trecking like experience. Try to reach the top before sunrise. Good views all around. You can take you vehicle all the way up near to the steps if you are reaching very early and got enough space topark the vehicles, otherwise the gate below will be closed and you can experience the trecking by walking through the bushes. There is a temple on the top. Too many monkies, so be careful with your belongings. Entry to the beak like stone is completely closed. Try to buy drinking water from the locals near the gate, it will help them. As we all know what happened because of the pandemic. They will allow you to keep your helmets in there so called shops.

The Avalabetta hill top grants wonderful view of the surroundings! And I personally liked that one could choose for it to be a full day or a half day getaway. Important to note that one would need to trek around 2 kms to reach the hill top, would take anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. The roads are superb, and dont miss beautiful farms with flower beds or marigold and chrysanthemums. There is decent parking space available. Also, stock up for food and snacks for there is nothing available on the top.

People aged below 30 only can reach the peak as the last 50m across rocks is tough to climb. Otherwise anyone including kids above 3 years and Upto 70 aged people can reach hilltop just to see the temples. If you’ve kids below 3, please do ‘demand’ (and not requestthe watchman that your car is allowed till hilltop else your kids will find it very difficult to trek.Important Tip: Just carry one coconut and flowers in a bowl from home. Show this to security guard and tell him you’re visiting this place to offer prayers and Pooja at the temple. He’ll allow no matter what.At the hilltop, neither water or coconut water or cucumber is available. Please carry ample amount of water if required. This trek good for spending 2-3 hours only and there’s nothing amazing about this.Roads are good enough. Even a BMW Jaguar can be seen parked here.Best time to visit: before 9am

Nice place to hangout with place near to Bangalore. Beautiful scenic views with fresh air is enough for refreshment from the monotonous life. Best place for 1 day quick plans. Theres no entry fee. But its not allowed to enter the popular selfie view point and is surrounded by fence because of the crack visible in the rock. But apart from that point its a very beautiful place to visit.

Beautiful hilltop with rocks and forest. However, unfortunately, people made it into a huge waste bin. I found food waste, paper plates, plastic bottles, snuggies, underwear and shaved hair scattered all over the place! Really sad state of affairs. Visit there by all means, but please dont litter. 🙏

View from the top 👌.The road to this place isnt good at all. There are absolutely no sign board to this place. One has to reach he location and then park your car/bike and then walk up to the top.If you wish to walk up you could do that or else you can take the short cut by taking the stairs.Anyhow the view from the top is breathtaking. It is totally worth the experience getting all the way to the top. Such a delight to our eyes. Its nice and breezy up there. There is a temple at the top. Small monkeys are there as well so be careful while getting there with kids. Do not carry edible food in your hand. It could prove to be risky.Buying a bottle of water or carrying a bottle would be advisable.Do wear shoes.Ideal to visit on a not so sunny afternoon or evenings.

Though there is a driveway, I preferred to trek through thick vegetation enjoying every step, scintillating views, chirping of birds,an ancient temple, soothing breeze and all this reinvigorated beyond my expectations. One should not venture to reach the hanging rock as its not only risky but also prohibited. There are lots of monkeys around and one should be very careful.
