Aubaine in Tan An

Overpriced fare served in a noisy space by indifferent service. The most painful part of the meal was having to overhear loud, obnoxious, annoyingly entitled and self-absorbed patrons complain dramatically about their daily trials. People with no sense of perspective will feel at home.

The food was ok, but the staff extremely slow and rude. Customers needed to chase staff to be served. Overall experience very poor. Avoid this place

I really like the aubaine at Selfridges! Maybe one of my more favourite ones because the ambience is quiet, stylish. Of course the food is very good too. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee here was.. a perfect américano with crema (most places don’t get it right as it is very traditional Italian style). Will be back!

Terrible experiencePoor service, many unavailable menus, and ridiculously expensive price. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the location, thats it. I’ll never go back.

Waited about 15 minutes fir a table. Excellent food & cheerful waiting staff. Lobster pasta & Chicken supreme was very good. Will certainly go there again

Thank you you Ses and Sumaiya for advising matcha latte. Its the best in London. Truly its my favourite place for latte now. Definitely coming back to try beetroot latte next time xxx

Gourmet class food, professional and very efficient service, reasonably priced, would definitely recommend to enhance your gastronomic experience when doing your shopping .

Absolutely amazing! This place is not only gorgeous, the food and service was equally amazing. The eggs Benedict had the best hollandaise sauce my partner has ever had(and he had eggs bene many times...). We had a special occasion so we ordered mimosas and Westley even topped us up with some more bubbles for free. Great service, thanks so much! Couldnt be a better breakfast spot.

The food was good , the service was average, the menu varieties are acceptable, some items are limited , they ran out of some of the choices so we had to change the order , staff are impatient with customers, you feel you are rushed and before you open your mouth , they just dump you and disappear.Not as expected, it was much better in the past when I visited this restaurant, service was adequate and staff were helpful.

Such a fabulous meal!Our server SAHIL was beyond helpful, he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to help us with great gluten free options and ensured everything was perfect.

Lobster spaghetti was delicious! Friendly and attentive staff.

Amazing food with a good location at Selfridges this place is the best place in the whole of oxford street. If you want good food this is the place for you. We had the truffle scrambled eggs - which was extremely fancy!

The truffle fries were delicious and the service was friendly. There was a lot of really rich sauce in the lobster spaghetti which made it hard to finish. They cooked the meat medium rare instead of medium but overall okay.

Wisteria is fake, service is trash, and this whole cafe is a bait. It took 45 minutes for a waiter to come take our order and give us water only to find out we were given the wrong menu from last year. There is only one small area with the flowers which has been closed off due to low staffing.

Food was ok. Service wasnt very attentive and the poor guy next to us got a drink spilled on him. The biggest issue tho was that we were not allowed to take leftovers home. An entire plate of food just gone to waste. The restaurant manager said that it’s forbidden by selfridges, which I don’t see why it would be since take away food is the entire purpose of the foodhall downstairs. Also just never expierenced this in London before, selfridges x Aubaine = no sustainability on any level.

Found the place to be a little hyped. The selling point is the interior and it is only in one half of the restaurant and not necessarily you will be placed in that area.. so you might be disappointed. Making reservations and asking for the specific table might help.The food tastes good but with limited menu and very few options for vegetarians it becomes a bit difficult to make a good choice.Though what we ordered tasted good.The place is definitely pricey.... 30 to 50 pounds on average per person.

Lovely restaurant!Service was great (despite being served Saint-Maure salad instead of a Tuna Nicoise), food was tasty and most importantly, the atmosphere was perfect.Very authentically French.

First time at Aubaine Selfridges and it is lovely here in every sense: great classics with a fresh twists, beautiful scenery and friendly and attentive staff

On arrival the waitress showed us to a table that was located in the middle of the restaurant. when we asked politely for a window table we where told it’s closed when there was customers already seated . Soon after we received our food there was a white hair in my guest food I was mortified what really did the damage was soon after seated the waitress seated four people in the area she had said was closed. Waited the whole time for our orange juice that was never served was so disappointed just wanted to leave will not bring any international friends here again for a bad experience.

We came here for the ambience, but we’re also pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. It’s so busy though! You have to walk through the bustling department store to then get to the restaurant entrance which usually has a line. Always book in advance! The service was fast and professional, but they turn over so many tables that they don’t have time to be very warm or take extra time with customers, but it should be noted that they do try!

Whilst the place is pretty, and I was eventually let in - I received the most appalling customer service being turned down at the entrance because on occasion 1. I had a gluten allergy and the host told me there is no gluten free options, this is a french restaurant, the french do not do gluten free, on the second occasion 2. I was turned down apparently for no reason when I wanted to sit in for tea/coffee, only to be proceeded by the host letting two ladies (who were Englishin for tea after telling me the restaurant was closed (when in fact it wasnt, it was only open for tea/coffee in between breakfast/lunch service). I am lost for words as to how I was treated the way I was, being refused to take a seat. I have sent an email to management waiting for their response!. Honestly shocking behaviour by the host (either because the host is against those who have a gluten allergy or is a racist?!)

The food was delicious and the service was exquisite. It was my wife’s birthday and was one of the best lunches we’ve had in years, a memorable meal.

First of all, we didnt feel comfortable as the waitresses kept coming around very often, cutting our conversation, they also kept looking at us and talked about us. ( the blonde girl and lady the boy with glasses were saying something eachother and then looking at us. some of the guys were over lovely though but the girl (Jacquelinewho served us was very miserable, never smiled, never said thank you/youre welcome etc. kept looking at our table, we had so many eye contacts, and we just wanted to leave. But from our observations, the other tables were treated differently and noone cared about bothering,checking, staring at them.I dont think there is an equal service between foreigners and others.The other thing was about the bill, service charge was over £5 which was OK but the bottle of water was almost £6 (which we didnt want from the first place but when they asked us 3 times we said okbasically weve got the water by force, and when I checked the other tables they had tab water for free but not us? and they added extra £1 for donations again without asking us if we like to donate, when I realised that i asked, he said they add this to every bill, which was ridiculous without customers permission, I asked them to remove it not because I didnt want to donate, because that wasnt ethical from the business adding something extra on customers bill without asking.Overall we didnt have a good experience, its shame that such a nice ambianced place has wrong workers ( some of them), and unprofessionally managed, especially for the bills, receipt, service etc.

The service was okay, ambience was brilliant, the music was fitting and the food tasted great- especially the Wagyu beef sandwich. I was a big fan of their burrata, too. Probably one of the best burrata dishes I’ve tried in London.

Beautiful cafe-restaurant located in a mall. Good for a break but I believe the place is overrated and the food not the best I had those days. For the price I would expect better s crumbled eggs and not some that look like mashed potatos 🙈 but the people that where working there were lovely and for a coffee or tea break with some croissant I definitely recommend this if you are in the area

High attitude for a fairly decent joint. We came here for an experience. Booked in advance and reached there minutes before our booking. We wanted a seat with a view and there were many seats open, however, the general manager refused us a seat by the window even though we told him the distance we traveled to come specially to eat here and there was no one there we didn’t see the issue. However, he was extremely rude and stubborn and didn’t budge and even let us go without a care. So anyway good luck, the food and the ambience may be good but the customer experience is a fail. Definitely not worth the hype and for sure poor customer experience as at the highest level of the chain no one cares.

Five star for unique and beautiful decor. Plus lovely staff. Didnt order much as we were there early. Even just after opening it was getting quite busy, but just managed to get some great pics! The struggles of a blogger/instagrammer! Mocha and pastries were just ok.

One of the best restaurants you will find in Selfridges. Tasteful floral decorations adorn the restaurant with highly attentive service right from the moment you step into the restaurant.The modern French menu is classy and elegant without being overly heavy. It is particularly strong on salads and desserts but pretty much whatever you order, you will not be disappointed.

Had such a lovely time. Food was excellent, food was great and staff were lovely. The decor is stunning really nice touch

Such great service and accommodating for my allergies. They altered some of the dishes so that I could have them. Would definitely recommend - I visited the Selfridges location - cant wait to go back!

Great place - Lovely decore. The food is pretty good (but quite expensive considering the portionsand they have a decent drinks selection. Suitable for a quick, but higher end, lunch or a drinks meeting... Not sure about anything else BUT the staff are great! 4/5.

The place was beautiful and the service was great. There are lot of photo opportunities for any Instagrammer. The food was basic in my opinion and it is not halal. For the price I was expecting better food. The place is smaller than it looks in the pictures.

The view is breathtaking and the vibes, great for meeting 1 friend or a date.. the burger is the best! And it’s worth the priceFriendly staff and service

Aubaine located in Selfridges level 2.Pretty decor and friendly staff.I was really impressed by the plastic dividers in between each table. You can tell they take health and safety very seriously. All staff members wearing masks and face guards.We ordered the Croissant Pain Perdu which is very similar to a bread and butter pudding. This was exceptional very light and crispy with the ice cream.We also ordered Honey Cake but unfortunately this had a distinct fishy taste to it. I advised the serving staff member and he was adamant that this could not be the case as the pastry section is at the opposite end of the main eatery. Nonetheless we returned the item back and then the waiter after a few minutes came back and admitted the cake had a fish like taste which he couldn’t explain how this would occur.Item was take off the bill, but I felt like it just completely ruined my palate and couldn’t enjoy anything after.

Aubaine was absolutely gorgeous. We had such a great table and the waiters were very nice. The food, oh the food was amazing. I totally recommend the chef special. It was so beautiful. The chicken was tender and the meal was just so tasty.

It’s a shame! I came here yesterday after the peak time (2:45pmwith my two friends and we were waiting for our starters for 30 minutes (burrata and scallops). The half of the menu was “finished”. Ok. I ordered the Wagyu burger and waited for one hour! 1 hour for the burger!!! Did you kill the cow before to cook my burger? Terrible service!! Our first waiter came to me and said that my burger wasn’t in their system, however he offered to me to order this burger. Ok. Went to the chef came back to me and said “it was finished and the chef didn’t tell”! I ordered a different burger. But 5 minutes later another waitress came with my Wagyu burger and said “They forgot to send it”. Sure. Thanx. Got my waygyu burger in ages and it was almost cold, slightly warm. And about the desert. We ordered one strawberry tart and one pavlova. The pavlova came as an ordinary merengue, divided into the four pieces. And with a big sorbet. Will not come again. Definitely not recommend it. Spent £50 each.

Very nice hostess. We were seated almost immediately with the place being packed. The waitress was very accommodating and the food is delicious. I love the grapefruit twist on the avocado side order👍🏼

Booked the table when saw how popular its in Instagram, surprisingly food is delicious, we had the Salmon salad , salad with goat cheese and mussels, I would say that it was all good even if the variety of food was totally different. Also the drinks are good. For instagram photos its nice but keep in mind that tables can be busy and u need some time to wait till taking photos. I will recommend for lunch, but book in advance

Went here yesterday with a friend. Drank an amazing rosé and had a little choclate cake to share. The windows are surrounded by lavender decoration and the whole space is covered in a very romantic touch. Would very much recommend to have a wine here in between shopping!

Great atmosphere with lavender vines dangling from the ceiling! The food is also delicious, the coffee was nice and the Nutella cheesecake was just 🤤

Hands down the best Lobster Linguini in London. 👌🏼 the soups are delicious. The calamari was fresh & just perfect.The Patisri’s are fresh, delicious & addictive. I’m a big fan.

Looks pretty in photos but does not really meet expectations. It is always very busy and a constant queue. Be prepared to wait - wait to get a seat, wait for your waitress to come by your seats, wait for your drinks (40mins from the point of ordering for us and we had to remind them twice). Food took an hour to come and even asking for the bill and waiting for someone to come by with the card machine.Food is underwhelming and below average in taste and presentation, using ingredients that are not well cooked (my burger was dry, cold and hard). Matcha latte was powdery. I came for brunch and arrived at 11.30am to be told brunch menu has finished..?!Not a place that I would recommend for brunch. So many brunch choices in London and this does not meet expectations.Service is friendly though despite slowness.

Disappointing. The place looks dull when its not shining outside, fake flowers, window-side table area closed after 9pm. Didnt actually manage to have any of the desserts from the menu, waiter joking too much / inappropriately. Food was ok though, but overpriced.

A lovely cafe, with friendly staff. They dont accept reservations so you have to wait for a table. It can get very busy during lunchtime. Delicious food, with both vegetarian and dairy free options but no gluten free desserts. Also quite pricey, with small portion sizes

Ive been here multiple times with friends and family - often to show them the cute lavender hanging from the ceiling at the back of the restaurant! The food has also always been very good and the menu often changes which is nice :I would definitely recommend their lobster burgers and fish!

Came here twice, staff that sat us down was a little hostile. One who took our order was okay. Was being spilled drinks on by another waiter but the manager gave us a discount afterwards. Came here a couple days later for dessert but the waiter was very rude(no crowd evenwhen introducing the dessert(they would come out with a board of it to show you). Looks very pretty and quite a pricey place.
