Au Pied de Cochon - French restaurant in Geneve, Switzerland
Good service and food.
Very disappointed…..Ordered one dish, but was served with another one that I didn’t even eat, and got charge for it…..
Liked the waiters beautiful smile, service is great. We ordered Geneve fresh truffle fish with vegetables and lated potatoes, also six week old day aged rump steak, both are 👍👍
Excellent food and good service! Recommend!
Our server was rude, short, and unhelpful. And the food was average.
This restaurant has been around since 1966. I think there are few restaurants today that can boast of their longevity. Now, as far as service is concerned. There arent many restaurants in Geneva that have the concept of service. They know how to guide guests from the reception to the end. Absolutely, a hundred percent reception at the highest level. I was reading that someone wrote that their food is not good. What can I say, you can recommend to people like that to go to McDonalds. A person can not come here and say that they do not have good food, if he understands the meaning of food. This is the type of food that is slowly dying out, as it would take a couple of hours to cook their pork shank cutlets, for example. People used to eat fried meat (which is amazingly delicious by the way). We took two different salads and four different dishes - everything was incredibly delicious. By the way, their portions are big. If you like real food, not just hamburger and fried meat - you have to go here.
We had a great time. We have eaten well. The dishes were delicious. fairly quiet We ate on the terrace. with a child
This is a welcoming restaurant that had extremely friendly service and delicious food - a great find! We shared sardines on toast then ordered the prawn salad and the sea perch - both were very healthy serves with fresh produce evident. Would definitely return again.
The main course was disappointing... Greasy and the taste was ok...
It was a good experience, tasty food and fair service. I had high expectations on the place and it didnt disappoint, the terrase was great with the old town mood, for sure I will be back! (Great Ribs and pulled pork 🍔 btw)
Worst food I have had in Geneva. Hard to get wrong pork based dishes. Every dish was tasteless and just wrong - Including soups, starters and main dishes. We didn’t touch the food - the service staff didn’t care - charged us in full. We ended up going to Burger King after.
Surprisingly very good pulled pork burger
Had an amazing experience at Au Pied de Cochon. We had some BBQ Style Sticky ribs and Burger Pied de Coch’, accompanied by some red wine. The meat was so tender and the taste is good. The Café gourmand was very well presented and delicious.Price was fair, for the quality and quantity it is worth. The waiter was really friendly, his name was Cedric (if I am not wrong). His energy and his politeness made our dinner even better !The restaurant is well placed, possible to reach it by car (street parkingor scooter. No parking infront, but available spots close to the place. I recommend 👍
We enjoyed the pulled pork and the veal. Both were good sized portions and good value. The meal was rounded off well with cafe gourmand with petite fours. The single waiter on duty was highly experienced and very attentive.
Great Lyon style restaurant. Friendly. Good food. Will definitely be back
Excellent food, outstanding service!
If you like pork this the place. Recommend pork cheeks
Food was actually good. Bit pricey but guess its normal for the area
Great food, typically Swiss decoration, very kind personnel, good prices!!I would highly recommend it!!!!!!
Déception. We went to the pied de cochon thinking we would find traditional French brasserie food. We did not. Products were OK but clearly executed without love or passion. Steamed vegetables? Poorly executed gratin? Hugo Reitzel mustard? No. This place deserves better than that. Forget the wraps and burgers and please just make food!
Great FOOD & nice people.THANK YOU!!!!
Good experience with that place. Very good dishes make from porky.
Top👌👌👌
I was sadly disappointed by the food and the service was lackluster as there was only one waiter to serve the entire restaurant (he did his best, but it was a difficult task!)
Delicious traditional French food, great wine.
Food was quite bland. Service good
nice and friendly shop for lunch and dinner
The perfect place if youre looking for that local, authentic place for s great lunch or cozy dinner. Great local and seasonal dishes as well as offering great Swiss wines, we could not have been more fortunate than to stumble upon Au Pied de Cochon. Friendly and good service. Au revoir!
Very friendly staff. Superb cooking. Really to do. Let them choose the wine for your meal.
Nice restaurant in Genevas old town with traditional decor. We recommend the pied the cochon burguer, very very tasty. Nice service but a bit slow
Nice restaurant, located in old Town Geneva. Try the stuffed pigs trotter.
Great food. Friendly service.
Excellent pork (but not only). Good service
Foreigners definitely not welcome, waiter was very rude. The ribs were too full of fat almost not edible. Rest was fine, but would not go back for sure.
The bacon on the bone was too nice, a must stop for nice food.
Brilliant food and vine. The lamb shank is excellent 😊
If you like pork, youll love this place. And yes, the clues in the name. If you like the trotters then this is a must-try.
Food is pretty good. Authentic. Tables are a bit too close to each other and staff doesnt always give you that necessary welcome feeling. However once seated all is well.
I’ve been here a few times now. Food is good and service is friendly. There’s often a seasonal menu so it’s worth revisiting to try new dishes but the regular menu is quite good also.
Located in Geneva old town. Fine food, good service. Can be a bit cramped when it is full.
I ordered a steak medium rare. They served it to me very well done on one side and raw on the other. I asked them to cook the other side a little more so they barely seared it, but then turned it over and charred and burned the opposite side until it was black and hard.Get the pigs foot, it is their speciality and apparently what they do well. Dont order the steak unless you like eating a hockey puck.
Nice outside seating, with ok food. Had the pea soup, which was fresh and decent, then the perch with home made chips for main - the perch was a little over cooked and home made chips awful (small and oily). Overall, I feel for other Geneva restaurants this was too expensive for the quality of food.
The place was empty on a Sunday lunch. The service was OK and the food nice.
Food was okay but the service was really slow. They basically forgot my order and offered a dessert as compensation. Fresh strawberries were good but i was too annoyed to really enjoy them
Food was very good, but had a problem with a waitress there. She immediately gave me a nasty attitude when she realized i was an American, and she left and had another waitress serve me. She had no problem with letting me know that she doesnt like Americans. She later had to serve an Asian couple that spoke English, I could tell that she wasnt happy to serve them. People like that dont need to be working with the public. Was not a good experience seeing that kind of racism.
Food was amazing and the seating is lovely but the service was beyond slow. Took them a good 45 minutes to get our food out
the food is soooo good! and the amount is also big. friendly staff. sooo delicious!
Delicious restaurant in the old town of Geneva. I liked the tuna tartar.
We (a group of sixhad an excellent dinner here. Best this week.Staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The menu was not completely in English which gave us some challenges.Place was clean, quiet. The smoked white fish terrine and the salmon tartar were excellent tasty appetizers. The waiter provided good wine recommendations. We all liked St Joseph, a red from Rhone. We got a bottle, but the by-the-glass price was very fair.We enjoyed all our main courses: pan fried duck, rib steak, filet of perch. My friends loved their profiteroles while the meringue I had was merely good.Nothing disappointed. We want to go back soon!
Great home made fries and special brie burger! Good service but a bit slow. Nice location.
