Atabey Condado in San Juan

Probably the best vegetarian option restaurant that I visited while in Puerto Rico. Nice. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice bar. Paper menu or qr code for the tech savvy. Lights dim in the evening for a better vibe. Nice street view. I highly recommend vegetarian mofundo. Tacos are good too.

Great evening at Atabey. We were looking for a fun, relaxing place for dinner while in Condado and I am so glad I found this gem. They seem to have a lot of regulars stopping in which is always a good sign. We started off with the S&S margaritas and they were great. Truly craft cocktails. We tried the chicken mofongo and the chicken tacos. The mofongo was in a creamy garlic sauce that was just perfect. The spices they used were subtle and the dish was amazing. The chicken tacos were just right for a light dinner. The chicken was fried to a nice crispness and the cilantro aioli set it off. After dinner I tried another craft cocktail, the Baja la Presion. Another great choice. I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica, the owner and chatting for a bit. Our waiter/bartender Ken took very good care of us. Wishing this great little place much continued success and so happy I stopped in for the perfect dinner.

After eating here, I’m so glad we asked a local at our hotel for a recommendation. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS meal. Already planning when I can go back for vegan meat tacos. Started with the tacos, had the vegan patty mofongo and the local catch. Ended with the guava flan which was soooo worth feeling so full from. Thrilled they had so many vegetarian options. Fresh, delicious, beautifully presented food in a chill casual ambience.

Atabey was definitely one of my favorite restaurants while visiting the Condado neighborhood in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Literally everything was great from the Brule Pancakes to the Chicken and Waffles. We also tried the croissant and the smoothies were so so good. 10/10 would recommend!

Wow! Thats the first thing that comes to mind. We didnt plan on getting food there but WOW Im so glad we did. Got the chicken tacos and bean burger, everything delicious. Fries are so good. So naturally we went the next day for brunch. Chicken n waffles and the croissant sandwich and turkey bacon. Delicious. Smoothie so good. Then we went back 3rd day in a row...pancake and all american. Food and coffee, all so good. Needless to say, we highly recommend!!

Judging is based upon food, cocktails, service, and ambiance.For cocktails I would come back, they were made really well.Service was great, friendly.I was disappointed in the food. It looks and photographs better than it tasted. It left you wanting more.Interior decor and ambiance are well done, although not the most comfortable chairs.Overall experience was nice. It is a restaurant I would be willing to try again, but wouldn’t seek out.

Delicious, concise menu with tasty, craft cocktails. We enjoyed fish tacos and chicken mofongo with garlic tomato sauce. The restaurant is a charming cafe with a small bar and tables inside and out.

I loved this place. The best gnocchis I ever had in my life!!! If you like the spicy drinks, you should try the s&s margarita, is really good. They were quick with the food and the customer services was excellent. I would definitely come back.

Amazing meal tonight at Atabey! Everything, from the refreshing drinks to the fresh-from-the-sea fish to the scrumptious tostones to the please-keep-it-on-the-menu peach cobbler, was top notch.Also, please dont miss the small font at the bottom of the menu - $2 to buy a beer for the chefs (find out how many folks are working). Jessica and team deserve it and more!

Staff could of been friendlier but the food was great! We got the huevos racheros and it was delicious after a morning at the beach

This was my last stop on my trip, simply walked in and let me tell you, the coffee was amazing, the food even more. Definitely do not miss out on this gem

The server was amazing! We came here twice. The second time we came it was after an absolutely horrendous experience at 1919 that left us without food. We arrived pretty late but the staff here was super inviting and fun!!

The mofongo and Puerto Rican coffee here were absolutely amazing!!!

Came here for lunch today and we have 0 regrets. The service was friendly, calm inviting atmosphere with chill reggae music. I got the sancocho and the hubby got a salad. Both were flavourful and highly enjoyable. We also got drinks which were very yummy and just the right amount of strength to them.

Top tier experience. The whole menu is fire. You won’t be disappointed.

We had dinner here last week and it was easily my favorite meal of our entire trip. I was looking for a place that had vegetarian and some traditional Puerto Rican food options for my meat eating family and decided on Atabey. Im so glad we did!We had the vegetarian Alitas, mozzarella sticks, tostones, mushroom truffle gnocchi, pork tacos and rice. Everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious! It was so relaxing sitting outside, they had an awesome playlist going and the staff was super friendly. I will definitely be back the next time we are in San Juan! If you have a chance to visit, check them out.

The brunch menu is incredible. The chicken and waffles is a must! Really cool space, great music, and friendly staff. Eggs Florentine was great too.

The foods alright honestly. But the drinks are great! Their cocktail collection is pretty decent. I still dont know what the "play" part in their tag line is. We came here coz it was close to our hotel and was one of the fewer places with vegetarian options.

Owner is very courteous and considerate. There was a mixup with our meal and she apologized profusely and comped our meal. Food and drinks were excellent and everyone spoke English fluently.

The fish tacos are my favorite! They have vegan food as well! Yummy food and excellent customer service! Now it has new look!! Beautiful decoration!!

Atabey was located very close to our AirBnb and we stumbled upon it on our first night. The quality of service, food, and drinks made Atabey the one place my friends and I constantly visited every day. The morning brunch is a must but get there early! The dinner menu had quality food and amazing drinks. The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledagble about the island. If you want to have a quick bite, a relaxing drink, and just an overall great experience, do yourself a favorand pass by Atabey in Condado; you wont regret it.

The food is delicious. Our server, Natalie, was working by herself. She handle the bar, the dine-in, and take out with such professionalism. I was very impressed. I would highly recommend stopping by if youre ever in the area.

Nice place, good food, but horrible service. Our waitress had a really nasty attitude. I have never written a bad review but I took time out of my vacation for this one. She was rude, unhelpful, and just didn’t care. After all her tip was included so that why she has no interest in her job. I felt like we couldn’t order and like we were bothering her.

The staff, food, and cocktails at this location are unbelievable! The food was delicious, and the vegan/vegetarian options were delicious. The staff was very accommodating. It has wonderful carry out that’s just as wonderful as the menu. The location is ideal for beach goers and the farm to table offerings blew my family away. Some of the best food in Condado.

Cute little place in the heart of Condado. Drinks were great and reasonably priced- the Borinken was delicious, and we loved the coconut mojito our waitress suggested. We also loved our tacos (many options for vegetarians- the all veggie tacos and fake chicken tacos were both delicious). Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a casual dining experience in Condado with tasty food!!

Second time I visit Atabey. Again it was an excellent experience: food, service, ambience. Brunch menu has something for everyone. Danny, our waiter, gave us exceptional service. In addition outdoor dining as well as indoor dining available. Will definitively come again:)

Great food here, great drinks. And staff were very nice. Seemed like a family environment. Me and my gf were in pr for 5 days we came to eat brunch here 3 times..will def visit again when i go back to pr👍🏼

The female at the door wouldn’t seat black people. She stated that they were only taking To go orders but continued to seat other people who were non black. She spoke to other people in Spanish not knowing I speak Spanish. We left the restaurant and went to another one. I will not spend my money where I am treated like trash.

Alright. Boyfriend and I attempted to go to another establishment prior to stopping at Atabey. We ended up stopping here on the way back to our parking spot... We had amazing drinks and food while there. Plewse get the wings! Our waitress forgot to put in our taco order, but came back with tacos and shots for the table. The customer service has been impeccable. If in San Juan, please stop by. Its the cutest little diamond in the rough!

Great staff great food! Nice to find a restaurant with Vegan options. We had the Hummus, fresh fish tacos and vegan burger along with a few drinks. Nice friendly staff. Reasonable price. Will definitely recommend and return again.

Food was amazing! Fish tacos the waffles and chicken were very delicious but there is plenty of healthier options that looked amazing as well so did the smoothies. Derrick was an amazing server!! Also I forgot to add that hot sauce they have is so amazing

Delicious food, small place with a close walk to the ocean. Indoor and outdoor seating.Highly recommended.Try the homemade local soup and the avocado dishes.Don’t forget a mimosa with passion fruit if you have brunch. Enjoy

Came here for dinner since it was a short distance from our hotel. Each member of the party ordered something different, and everything was pretty delicious. The only thing is that my dad’s vegetarian burger was a bit dry. I’d say the salad with pineapples and salmon that my sister ate was the most stand-out dish. If you plan to go there, I’d suggest asking for their hot sauce. It was sooo good and I am so sad I wasn’t able to take some home!

Love this place! Great service and very friendly staff. The food is delicious. I recommend the black bean burger and croquettes ! Their Smoked Mirror mezcal cocktail is my favorite. I also recommend the Avocado toast with an egg. It’s a great place to have lunch, brunch (with $17 unlimited mimosasand coffee! They have a nice outdoor seating area with great shade. The ambiance is very relaxed and quiet during the day perfect for an afternoon read but lively and great music in the evening. Will be coming back when visiting Puerto Rico again!

My husband and I stopped by to get a quick bite before heading to the beach. After 10 days of island food, we wanted a good burger (lol). He had the turkey burger and I have the veggie burger. Both were delicious. The cherry on top was the homemade hot sauce. Spicy but packed with flavor. Whenever we are back in San Juan, this will be a for sure stop. Everything was fresh and affordable. The lady who served us (who we assumed was the owneris a special person. You can tell she has a heart of gold. We noted the kindness she showed to someone down on their luck. ❤️

Great place to eat, the food is tasteful and affordable. I had the fish tacos (they came by 2and I highly recommend that you try their homemade hot sauce! It is delicious, hot and spicy but still with a lot of flavours, not the kind that just burn your mouth. You can sit at the bar and speak with the friendly staff, inside or enjoy the terrace in the front. Ever way, the staff will take care of you and make sure you enjoy your meal!

Chicken wings-solidFish tacos-some of best I’ve ever hadChurros were amazing, topped with ice cream. Smaller spot inside but great cozy vibe. Trendy music and the owners are very welcoming. I was staying at the Vanderbilt and this place was right across the street. I never leave reviews but this place is amazing and deserves a 7 star if I could give it! Best restaurant in Condado hands down! And, very reasonably priced as well! The turkey burger and the pesto chicken sandwich were both amazing. Make sure you ask for their homemade hot sauce!

This place is so delicious! Great vibes. Great food. The prices are good. The coffee is to die for and its local coffee. I love that they support local farms. Farms to the table is great for the economy. And they have a bar if you want some drinks. Live music on sundays. We will definitely be back!!! And Derrick is the best. Hes the sweetest and can point you to all the best places to visit while your in town.

This place is a Gem! Recently open... incredible tasting food & great presentation. Try the salmon... it’s killer!!!Also, the mixed drinks are well balanced, delicious and a must try... I suggest the Earl.Oh, and the dessert... a perfect finish to a satisfying meal.
