Asylum Point Park in Oshkosh

I went there specifically to scope out the location for fall colors pictures. A beautiful setting around the lighthouse. Will return to take more photos.

This was a cute place to spend some time away from home!

A perfect spot for a beautiful view of the sunset along Lake Winnebago.

We went to visit the old insane asylum and poor farm cemetery. Its dog friendly and there are nice trails through the woods. The cemetery is well kept, its just sad that it ever existed. A hundred years ago, how many of us would have been there? May they have found the peace now they werent given in life. We wont forget.

Very pretty nice area to fish

A nice little lighthouse is the best part of this park. I could only find one picnic table, a bench and a porta-potty in the whole park. This place could be a really great area with a little more investment.

Gorgeous views of the lake and the little lighthouse is a hidden gem! Gonna go down the trail next time and try to find the old cemetery!

Pretty lighthouse, kind of a creepy atmosphere sometimes.. but definitely a good spot for fishing and geocaching!

Bridge to the island has been fixed. Not very interesting besides the lighthouse. No trails on the island. No benches to sit on and watch the water.

I thought it was very peaceful & not very crowded at the time I was their. Relaxed enjoyed peaceful ✌🐾

A small park good for walking dogs and children. Cool things to look at like big dry docked boats, an old lighthouse, and you can walk right up to the shores of the lake.Went in November, so there were no mosquito or insect issues.There is a very small trail system that Loops between the two access roads. This is not a hike.Lots of burrs in some of the walking areas.For what it is, its nice.

Beautiful place, great fishing

Always nice place to relax. Until all the lovers and smokers from WIMH come flying in and out.

A nice, small park. Water was very green with algae and seaweed but the sunset was still beautiful. Caught a couple tiny fish. Overall pleasant.

A nice little park. Free access, nice secluded area off of the beaten path. Has boat launch and trails. Separate launch site in bay for kayaking. Light house bridge is currently out / under construction. Perfect for a picnic or to bring your pups along for a nice walk.

Meh. Not what we expected. The boat launch was popular, but otherwise nothing visibly marked at all. Was overgrown and no desire to walk into brush. Maybe was good place to explore in the past, but unless you are launching a boat, I wouldn’t bother.

Nice for adults, not so much for children

Nice boat launch. A lot of weeds and kinda shallow but close to where I fish. Nice on those windy Bago days.

The fog can be phenomenal over the lake. Great sunrises and sunsets. A personal favorite. Cant wait for the bridge to be repaired to get back on the island

Quiet peaceful trails that lead along the shore line. Dogs are allowed which is a huge plus in my books. Trails are tight but many. Can be quite icy, muddy or wet so do prepare for that. There is a campsite as well & a boat dock. There were more people walking it then I thought, so it might get crowded at some times, mainly summer Id feel.

Wish the bridge would get fixed already

Nice quiet place for a walk but not alot for kids to do

Fishing/boat ramp/nature hike. * Light house area needs to be cleaned up. Trees that are blocking sight of this landmark need to be removed and bridge to the island repaired or replaced.

Great place to go exploring on the paths. I go a lot with friends. Also a great place to go see wildlife. Only thing is trash from people not picking up from themselves

Wish the bridge to the lighthouse was fixed.

Good place gets crowded during hard water. Plenty of trail to hike with the pooch.

Came for a lovely photography session and loved the size and location of the park. We even explored the cemetery for the asylum. Cool day trip

Good place to take your bf or gf. Light house at point and some alright bass fishing.

Nice park

The bridge to the lighthouse is currently damaged from winter ice but if you turn around you can have a fantastic walk through nature. I followed the shoreline to the trail that winds through the woods, by the cemetary, down the road to a grassy trail that took me much further than I had expected. Took me back to younger days of exploring near the trail my hometown was on. No shortage of living things to look at whether breathing or growing or even the spindly rot of a once robust tree.
