Main Street, Tigkaki 853 00, Greece, Kos
Overlooking the Aegean Sea, this chic resort is 5 km from both downtown Kos and the ancient Asklepion Kos healing temple ruins. Its 21 km from the Kos International Airport Ιppokratis.Bright rooms with balconies or terraces offer flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minibars, and tea and coffeemakers; some have sea views. Suites add living areas. Upgraded bi-level suites feature semi-private pools; some have direct pool access. Room service is available.Breakfast and dinner are included. Amenities consist of 3 restaurants and 3 bars, as well as 6 pools (1 indoor), a spa and kids' club. There's also regular entertainment. Parking is available.
We stayed for 1 week with all inclusive drinks/food.Pros:- Large spacious rooms, with amazing views even in the garden view rooms aswell as the sea view rooms.- Service at the resteraunts is absolutely amazing, all the waiters and waitresses are brilliant and the bar staff are efficent and fantastic at what they do. Special shoutout to Stella in the Sirens bar for being very accomidating of us and making this a memorable holiday for our whole family.- The food was fantastic, the buffet had a variety of food from all cuisines every dinner time, we spent most lunch times in the Argo resteraunt which is free at lunch but you must pay for dinner there, and the food was amazing. Not a single fault with any of the food at breakfast, lunch or dinner which is rare to say about most all inclusive hotels.- The pool/private beach is great, there is plenty of sunbeds meaning no fighting over sunbeds or reserving them early in the morning like at some other resorts. This made the whole experience more relaxing as you never felt crammed in with other people. And the bar service bringng drinks to you at the sunbeds from the Exclusivi app free of charge was also a great feature I havnt seen at a resort before.- Reception were very helpful and were able to assist us when needed, the checkin and checkout where both fast.- Location was good, with around a 10-15 minute bus ride into the town costing just 2 Euros, and a taxi costing 13 Euros.Cons:- The wifi isnt great around the pool area, it worked fine in the rooms but I noticed when by the pool I was using 4g most of the time.- The music at the bars was not great, we mentioned this to the staff on a few occasions and every staff member we spoke to agreed that the music being played in the evening wasnt very good, and was mainly sad music which didnt set the tone very well for the evenings, although if you are someone who doesnt really care about music this is irrelivent. There also wasnt a very wide variety of songs so you ended up hearing the same song sometimes 2/3 times in the same evening, the staff said they had no control over the music and hence just had to put up with it.Overall I would highly reccomend the Astir Odysseus to anyone looking for a top quality and well located resort in Kos.
Great hotel, nice personal and good food. Probably the best hotel on Kos
Great hotel in Kos.Pros:Hotel facilities - beautiful design and very well maintained.Staff is friendly and accommodatingRooms are cleanPools area is very large and spaciousBars with plenty of drinks and cocktailsFood and drinks - high qualityCons:Location is not in the best sea shore of KosOverall, very recommended
We spent 5 nights at the hotel and it was really great! Big rooms, great food and its not so big so everything is small, reachable and ground floor. We did have some complaints about very small things but once we filled an online survey that jumps automatically on the hotel wifi, we were called to the guests relations to give a feedback so they definitely took notice. We moved to a different hotel (a planned transferand we immediately regretted it and we should have stayed at Astir!Kos city is also close so its easy with a bus to go and change the vibe.Really feels luxurious. We were a big group of 14 ppl, 3 generations and we all had a great time.
Wonderful hotel, great staff which are bending over backwards to satisfy your every need. Very nice pool, so large you feel like it is private. Quick service!! We will Come back
This was our 3rd visit to this amazing hotel we came as a family of 9, it is spotless, we had four rooms all close to each other, the food was beautiful something different every night and caters for every age group, always plenty of sun beds, entertainment team are fantastic a big shout out to Denise for the great nightly shows, would highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic holiday nothing is to much trouble, all the staff from cleaners to bar staff were amazing, thanks again for making our holiday unforgettable till next time, Maria and family, x😊👨👩👦😍
We (me and my fiancetook my parents to this precious hotel for their birthday. We all had a lovely time, the service was outstanding, food was delicious and the staff was incredibly kind and gratefull. Apparently they had an issue with the availibilty of the family rooms we booked so they upgraded us to an amazing apartment with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms free of charge. Thank you Astir Oddyseus for an amazing stay!
Amazing holiday spent in this hotel, cleanliness, delicious food. A lot of variety! Excellent high class service. Hotel offers downloading an app and you can reserve restaurants as well as order drinks directly to sunbeds! One negative thing is that waves can be pretty strong if it is windy, but it did not change our experience! Lovely sunsets.
Fabulous hotel, cant fault it. Staff are amazing, attentive and friendly. Food is delicious in all areas
We spend our honeymoon in Kos and we couldn’t be happier, that we stayed with Astir Odysseus. Everything was perfect and the staff made us feel like home. Especially Rena from the dining-area and Caleb from the reception. Although it is a huge hotel, every little corner was beautiful and clean. We will come back for sure! Efcharistó!
Beautiful hotel with well decorated and very clean rooms. I read reviews thats its not exactly 5 stars hotel and I must disagree. We have been in plenty 5* and this one for sure deserved it. Even basic rooms already met our expectations. Upgrade to highly recommended "shared pool" room is definitely good choice. I didnt understand fuzz about it until I booked one. Spacious and private-shared with few guests pool is jackpot. Although general pools are also very nice. Plenty of beach chairs in pool area, on the beach bit limited but you still find spot at any hour and with bit of luck you will see dolphins in their natural environment jumping from the water. Food is surprisingly (not a fan of dinners in hotelsvery good. What surprised me on plus was "Greek breakfast area" which I found very nice addition to the morning selection. Plenty of greek dishes for lunch & dinner. Although if came to Kos for fries or spaghetti, you will find it as well. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Great location is another plus: with a bus stop next to hotel you can reach Kos(citywithin 15minutes (ticket 2 euro). With a car you can reach most of turistic spots within 20-30 minutes. Only one thing I would improve is quality of wine and drinks, coffee is superb. Thank you for great time!
Nice staff, tasty food, clean rooms. If you are lucky you can see dolphins chasing the waves from the beach.I really recommend.
Has to be one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed in. Beautiful spaces inside and out with its own beach looking towards Turkey. The staff are amazing, so friendly. The food is brilliant even if it is predominantly buffet. The animation team work hard to entertain you without being forceful. Its there if you want it basically. Add to that the green beauty of the island of Kos and the fantastic weather in late May and what more could you ask for.
Very nice hotel, amazing, beautiful gardens, very tasty food and kind personal. As usual, for 5 stars there is room for improvement: in family room for 5 y.o. they just puted a travel cot for babies (where my son barely can enter), while there is a sofa-armchair in the room, but of bad quality, so out of use anyway.Pools are ridiculously cold and never warmed, so it was possible to swim there only after 5 days after we arrived. Also the entertainment team, being very friendly, is a bit... boring: there are just few toys in miniclub and also evening shows might be something better.Anyway, the food is very fresh and tasty. Maybe you could expect for more delicious food as salmon and sea fruits , but still tendentially the food is simple and good (especially cheeses and yoghurt). You can arrive in Kos town in 20 mins by bus that passes every 40 mins. The staff is friendly and nice, very patient also. Nice place to stay with kids.
Such a lovely place plus nice staff also good food and lush sunset
Amazing service. Proper food. Clean rooms and lots of amenities you won’t expect on a Greek island like proper conditioner, tooth brush, flip flops, soft bath robes…our room was next to the beach so only 1 minute walk with an amazing view.
Nice hotel; clean. Food is ok, but have seen better for 5 stars.
A blissfully quiet and luxurious resort. Families are very welcome here, as well as couples and the elderly too. The food is great, with a huge selection. Our room was spacious and comfy. The beach is narrow but clean. And the numerous pools are nice to relax by. They also host all sorts of events. We would stay here again if we wanted another escapist resort holiday. The only downside is that it is quite far from anywhere. I’d recommend renting a bike/scooter/car if you intend on going anywhere else on Kos.
Great Resort, will come back in the future, food is good, service is outstanding, your empty plate isnt on the table for more than a minute usually. Also the rooms with direct pool access are amazing, you barely have to leave your room/terrace - The daily refills for the Minibar come in handy 😎.Another note: great cocktails at the beach/pool bar.
We enjoyed our time here so much! This hotel is definitely worth for a relaxing stay.Shoutout to all the amazing staff at Astir! You do a great job!
We enjoyed beautiful weather, nice animation with water gym -especially Dennis in a costume and Zumba Toning with Simone was great. We liked a lot that the animateurs were unintrusive, but still welcoming. Also the shows were really nice. We liked the dancers and the rock music shows a lot. Also the app with the possibility to order drinks wherever you ste is great. The drinks are fantastic!Great and friendly team!
Gorgeous, and MASSIVE, hotel. Were here for drinks and dinner in Ithaka. Was superb! Georgios was a wonderful host. The butternut squash soup was fantastic, as was my lobster. Am considering staying here on the last 2 nights of my holiday now. Very impressed.
Fantastic 5 star hotell with friendly staff! Large pool areas (large!!!!and several rooms with direct pool access. Well planned hotel area. 2 main restaurants with bars and one ala cart restaurant. We had the all inclusive option and enjoyed free food and drinks during our stay. All cocktails were ordered through the app and was served at the sunbed or table you choose. The main restaurant had a huge buffé so you had no trouble finding a good lunch or dinner! Pool temperatures in october were "refreshing" around 22 degrees. A bit warmer in the sea... The beach is just by the beachfront pool and has both sand and small stones. Lots of sunbeds both on the beach and by the pool. Many activities to choose from (climbing, dart, tennis, pool aerobics etcand some fun and games during the day. Every night there is some kind of entertainment or show (or both). We enjoyed the show at the theatre every night! Kos town is just 10 min away by taxi(€12or 20 min by bus (€2). The rooms were clean (we had 6 rooms all over the hoteland we were quite happy with all of them. Nothing to complain about. Some walking distance on the hotell area if you forgor something in your room.
The best part of staying at Astir Odysseus has to be the staff - they are all extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. Nothing was too much effort for anyone. The pool is lovely, we went end of September so it wasn’t too busy, which was great. However - the food is by far the worst I’ve had at any hotel. There is a lot of choice, yes, but it is school canteen style food, and no better. We resorted to having Greek salad every night, which was great, but it was a shame to not see more Greek food on offer. One night was Mexican night, and another Asian night.Lovely hotel, but if you like good food, I would look elsewhere.
We stayed @ the Astir Odysseus from 11 until 18/09/21 and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel and premises are very wide stretched so you never felt it was too crowded. As others already described the food is very tasty and there is abundant choice. Personnel is friendly and helpful.Everything was very clean and the gardens are beautiful. Large pools, great large pool directly at a private beach too, the view was spectacular there. We noticed that as everywhere on Kos the cats strolling around were allowed to walk free, maybe some people dont like this but we certainly didnt mind, it was nice to get to pet them once in a while :-).Also the entertainment in the pool (Aqua danceand shooting exercise in the garden were great to do, also big points for enthousiasm for the entertainment team! The only negative point was that the location of the hotel is a bit remote but we knew that in advance and when you are looking for some peace and quiet time the location is ideal.I would rate the Astir Odysseus a 4,5!
The Hotel itself was amazing and in great shape. There were various opportunities for entertainment. The personell was very friendly. However, the rooms did not meet our expectations. We booked a family room for 3 people and instead got a double room with an additional bed. Quite a disappointment. The wifi wasn’t great either- completely overstretched. When it comes down to the food there are hardly any complains. The only thing to criticize is that the juices at the breakfast weren’t fresh. Apart from all this we really enjoyed our visit and would come back anytime :).
Great service, beautiful hotel setting and nice facilities (although gym a bit mediocre), excellent and quite varied food. Super kids club and entertainment. Some eco-friendly aspects too. A bit remotely located, but overall would definitely recommend.
My wife and I have been to this hotel for the fourth time and that should be enough for a hotel recommendation. Very tasty meals, a bar with at least twenty types of olive oil unique in other hotels. Very clean rooms, beach and pools, never short of sunbeds. Even though the hotel is large, it does not feel crowded. The service is nice and willing to help. I hope to visit you again.
This would be a good 4*, not certainly 5 especially given the horrendous reception (they messed up room booking, private transfer to airport and they make up excuses all the time to cover misbehavior). The balcony is serviced with table and chairs, but no loungers (only ground floor with pool access have them...). The laser gun playground right next to main restaurant has loud horrible techno music at time of dinner, every single evening. Pools are nice, but common bathroom there are old, tiny and incredibly hot. Spa staff runs after you on the beach/awaits for you at the exit of restaurant after breakfast to promote their products/services so you have to repeat every day you already got info. Food choice is good, but often overcooked and lactose free products are not available. Service at the main restaurant is the only aspect which deserves a great rating. The staff there is amazing and does an incredibly efficient job (reception should learn from them).
Review is a little late (honeymooned at Astir Odysseus in August 2019but still felt as though I should encourage people to get out to Kos and stay at this wonderful hotel. My wife and I had an absolute blast here. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were clean, air conditioned and well cared for. There is ample space, the beach is lovely and so is the spa/indoor pool/hot tub. It has a super relaxing atmosphere and the only chaotic part of the whole experience was the meals at the hotel. As all meals are buffet style, you might not always get the piping hot specialised meals you may expect at other 5-star hotels but dont let that put you off. I had some delicious and refreshing breakfasts and some amazing seafood varieties from the buffet at lunch/dinner if youre into that sort of thing. The service was great - from reception to restaurant staff to the spa. I didnt have a bad thing to say about any interactions with the staff during my visit. Ive been talking about coming back since my honeymoon so Ill have to make sure I book something after COVID-19 becomes a thing of the past.
Very very good Hotel with awesome staff, amazing breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and a very well working Covid-19 protection. Will stay again in the comming years!! The quality of the drinks as well for the all-incl. option are on high quality as well.
Well where do we start! Got to be the staff, from the check-in, porters, waitresses, bar staff, Dawn pool waitress, cleaners and of course dining experience- every single one of you guys are so polite, warm and friendly - YOU make this hotel great. And the room (558upgrade with the best view imaginableJust returned home today and we have had the most amazing time thank you so much.Definitely return Sept/Oct 2021
Super friendly staff and service is very good! Although, the furniture like the deck chairs at the pool and beach are not worth 5 stars. Also the bathroom is small and the furniture in the room is as wel not 5 star worthed. The coffee table on the terras is not stable aswel.Have a look at these little remarks in the future.
Beach stoney and quite narrow. Order via their app brings your drink to your table at poolside! Huge pools. Rooms have little annoying things like the handles to open wardrobes (tinyalso no hook to hang your bathrobe on ended up on the floor. Rooms only cleaned every other day.
Great Food, the complex is getting older. If been here in 2009 the first time and since then nothing has changed. Which is ok. The standard is still high, the beach great and the best food you can have. A new playground without any shade is not the smartest thing to build. but all in all with 2 big children pool a good place to stay at family.
Extraordinary service with kind and courteous personell.Rooms as well as the whole facilities are extremely clean and tidy. The area and nature around the hotel are beautiful and worth to explore e.g. a trip to Kos by bike. The food is good and there are a lot of different types of food to pick from. The pool areas are plentiful, clean and very well placed. Especially the private pool areas are gorgeous.Just make sure to book before the English people arrive. Getting A LOT noisier afterwards....
A lovely hotel!!! Staff were wonderful to me and my family. Food is of a good quality and the rooms and surrounding environment were top notch. Weve already recommended it to all out friends.
We arrived late October, took the maisonette with the sea view and a sharing pool at the far end of the hotel, about 4 minutes walk from the entrance. This hotel is one of the finest in Kos. The staff are very helpful and polite, the room and the surrounding areas are very clean and kept tidy every day all day, the main restaurant has a vast variety of high quality foods that would fit any preference and taste and has also children dishes, sitting is also great with options to sit outside at the open or inside. The hotel facilities are very good. The main pool near the beach is very long and extends from one side of the hotel to the other. Actually its the longest pool I have ever seen. Theres also another big pool near the entrance. Remind you many rooms have also small sharing pools. Because we arrived in October the pool waters were chilly. There are 2 additional restaurants and a beach snack bar, a cocktail bar, a spa, a gym, a mini club with activities for young kids, a climbing wall that has a very limited operating hours, a ministore, a small game room which you should pay for the games at the ministore and the Calypso room for conventions. I also saw a hairdresser sign but didnt find the person. The hotel was granted an award for its clean beach. Environment is also a priority here so bicycles are for hire and recycle bins exist. The only issue we had is the separate beds - we didnt have a king-size bed and the gap in the middle is annoying.
Beauthiful hotel. Very good service and lots of choice with the food. The cocktails where great and definitely advised to try out!The personal is very friendly and helpful. Most of the time help u with a big smile on there face which just makes your day 😀Everything is kept very clean. The fridge in our bed room was refilled every single day of our stay. The beach side of the hotel is just amazing, the water of the sea was not cold or to warm and was fun to stay in. The loungers are relaxing to lay on.This was 1 of my most beauthiful vacations ever and we promised our kids to go back to this hotel when they are old enough after 10 years so they can also experience the beauty of this island and the relaxing stay at the hotel Astir Odysseus.I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a relaxing vacation and wanna visit the hole island of Kos 💛💙💚👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😎
Staff were very nice. The hotel is clean, swimming pool is very big and clean. Mostly families visitors but its very quite.I liked the most that we got free champagne in our room, got free massage for 15 min.The bad part is that we felt they try to sell us to extend the massage or to do another one with payment. I think if you give a present you should give it from the heart or at least make me feel its a present and not for sell extension.Hope to visit there again. But next time I wont take the "free massage" lol
The hotel look nice and its big. The rooms are nice, and there is a lot of spac, there is a minibar,TV,AC. Hotel during the day looks nice, and during night looks even better (due to Blue lights and pools)Close to the hotel there is a beach. The service is nice and kind. The only one thing which for me could be better is food. There is a big choice of food but in my opinion this is the weakest point of the hotel. That is why it is only 4 stars.
Absolutely amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would. All staff there were so friendly, helpful and polite. So many different options for dining, the choice was overwhelming. Accomodation was to such a high standard. So impressed, I am planning my return there already. Best hotel I have ever stayed at.
This is a 5-star all inclusive resort that is extremely well managed. We stayed at the end of the season and enjoyed our tranquil experience. We found all the staff members to be friendly and attentive. The facilities themselves (pools, gardens, pathways, common areas, etcwere all very impressive and well kept. The main restaurant is a buffet style restaurant with a made-to-order pasta station, and the food in general was tasty, creative, and plentiful. The spa facilities were nice and the services were excellent in quality, albeit a little pricey. I would definitely recommend this place for those seeking an all-inclusive resort experience.
so we have just finished our first day at this hotel (6 more to goand already i am blown away with how perfect this place is. The room is modern, clean and well presented . Lots of attention to detail. shaving kit, dental kit, slippers and robe and a well stocked mini bar of soft drinks and beer. We arrived around 2am and were greeted with great hospitality. As we had arrived late the staff had put cold plates in our room consisting of sandwiches and crisps. This was a really considerate touch especially as we hadnt eaten since we left the UK. We were also given a voucher for a complimentary 15 min massage which im really looking forward to. The food is superb. a fantastic selection and very well cooked and presented. The facilities are modern and clean and there is something for everyone. I highly recommend this stunning hotel and their attentive staff.
Such a great hotel, such a great service. We enjoyed our stay so much. A great stay with luxury, food of great quality, and amazing facilities. Although we werent happy with the beds (not as comfortable for a 5 star hoteland the design of the room could be a little bit more modern, we didnt regret booking this hotel. Thanks for having us!
Definitely shouldn’t be a five star hotel. The lifts don’t work and broke down whilst I was in one. After that I ended up using the stairs for the rest of the holiday, which isn’t ideal carrying a 9 month old.The all inclusive has been ok at meal times, but at other times they have not had snacks even though this is supposed to be part of the package. The staff seem uninterested in helping and the service is certainly not what I expect when we have spent this money. My advice: Book elsewhere
Amazing staff. Very friendly and couldnt do enough for us to make our stay as nice as it could be. Lovely surroundings, all of it perfectly clean and neat. All the garden areas were very well kept too.Food was delicious. Lots of choices at every meal all lovely and fresh. We did have a couple of minor niggles but really in the great scheme of things they are not really worth mentioning. On the whole it was a pleasure to stay here and were truly sad to leave.
Attended a wedding in kos and booked this hotel which was different from where everyone else was staying and glad we did as we were not disappointed at all. After seeing the other hotel we were happy with our choice. A beautiful resort. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of space for sunbathers. Whether you prefer pool or beach wont struggle to find a bed. Spa is well worth a visit too. Had the hot stone massage and deep tissue massage and both were very relaxing. Massive thanks to Alice for that. Best to book a package when visiting the spa. Will be returning in the near future.
A very beautiful, spacious, well-maintained facility, featuring two swimming pools, sea beach, several restaurants and bars. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling despite of their hard work. The room service is exceptional. The food is in cast variety and delicious. The hotel is located in the middle between Kos town and Tigaki village with bus connections to the both directions. I highly recommend this hotel to couples and families.
Its a beautiful property, great pools, very good buffet spread BUT lacks the five star finesse that I have experienced in other five star luxury resorts. For eg. One has to pay extra to use the steam room. Thats a new one for me in a five star. The table tennis equipment needs serious updating my 8 year old informs me and I would rethink the welcome drink. Its the first impression of the hotel and fails to impress. Otherwise the staff seem friendly enough. Its pleasant not superb.
