Ashiana Restaurant - Indian restaurant in Kampala, Uganda
Amazing Food specially methi mutter Malai
Worst Indian food we ever had in Uganda. Ordered Fish Kohlapuri and Dum Biriyani and chicken 65. All were terrible.
My friend recommended this as her favorite Indian food in Kampala and it did not disappoint. Good service, great food. I got the vegetarian variety platter
Best Indian in Kampala!
It was such a lovely experience
Too much waiting and not proper train staff to attend customers
Delicious Indian veg food in Bugoloby Kampala
Degraded the quality and increased the price over the years.Gave 5 star some 3 years ago and changed to 2 star today.
Good restaurant in bugolobi located in bandali rise
Beautiful place. Very delicious Indian cuisine. The Boss is very caring, constantly checking if you need anything. Even had baby chairs for my 2 kids.
Ashiana is a warm place, some where you go and feel welcome. The manager and Bobby are some nice people that make you miss it like home.As for the food, words seem to fail me how to describe the aroma, the freshness and tenderness in every bite. While here, I have had chicken tikka, mutton curry, chicken curry, Tandori chicken and chilli paneer and Every taste is as tender and soft. I highly recommend it.
Really good food choices and yummy food!
Great food, ambiance, staff, music and generally a nice place to relax.
I was there with my friends. We reached there about 9:45 pm. Nobody told us they close at 10. Personally I don’t like to sit in a closing restaurant. Everyone was rushing to home. Cant complain the waitress coz she was all alone. had to struggle to take my wallet out while eating to pay my bill. Soon after the billing done all staff disappeared and we where all alone there. Some how we also done eating and left the place and the gate also was closed and the security opened it it after waiting a bit for it. Overall I should say its not a best destination to dine as many people already knows it coz when we enter not much customers there. If the owner of the restaurant reads this, at-least he should know why they don’t get much customers. Total disappointment after paying a decent bill at the end.
Very nice food and ambiance
Think twice before ordering your food.We visited as a small group after a recommendation and had high hopes. We ordered food which went well and all dishes were different. When the food came it was actually cold but nether the less we braced it and carried on eating. We did complain to no avail as there was a function going on upstairs. The day after we are all very ill. Please think twice when ordering food.
Good Service, Perfect taste. Fair price
Its a beautiful and quiet place even if its along the roadside where you can access the transport means.Dont forget that soon we shall be having Lindyhop and Swing dance classes here between 9am to Midday. So stay tuned for more information.
It serves the best North Indian food with a nice environment
Foods pretty good and its convenient but lacks any real ambience. Not bad just not inspiring.
It nice restaurant with very testy food
Food Taste was excellent. Desert was average. I will be regular here
The ambience of the restaurant is very good. The taste is awesome and the service is also very good. Must try food here. You will get variety of food from south Indian to Punjabi to Gujarati.
Awesome food. They have amazing chefs. Taste was yummy. Very quick service
Ambience is good. Right spot for families. Reasonable pricing. Cuisines just yummy !!! Staff service and hospitality is great.
In August 2019 I ate here and wrote “Long menu and good food, friendly service. Nice spacious restaurant. My only regret is I discovered this so late during my stay.” I went back here in February 2020 and downgraded my review and think I am probably being a little generous. The service is still good and friendly, but the Tikka Masala Dosa I had which was ok but not 5*.
Food is okay, nice and clean environment , could use better music . Just because its an indian restaurant it doesnt mean the music has to be Indian and loud at that. Its a restaurant not a bar
Amazing Indian food and Mr. Bobby is so customer friendly
Nice quiet place for a family outing or meetings even dates. Food is good. And service is fast
A lovely hidden gem with great Asian cuisine, the food was delightful to say the least, and the owner gave excellent service. We had an excellent evening, thank you. Highly recommend!
Great food though the tea portions are really small! Also my MasterCard didnt work but was given an alternative payment option that wasnt cash 👍
Very good indian restaurant..nice service.. can improve more in South Indian dishes.. otherwise all is well..
Best place for indian food near Bugolobi. They have indian Thali,Chat and good snacks option.
Very nice Indian food , friendly staffs and quick service
Excellent ambience. Great foods prepared by chefs. They will always personalise your experience. Definitely a must to visit.Thank you.
One of the best Indian Restaurants in Kampala. Behind Village mall, (KFC). Affordable. Looks simple from outside but the inside view, is astonishing. And the dishes! Oh my, fingerlicking.
Went here with a colleague last night. The food was fantastic. We both loved the foods we ordered. Our only problem was that there was so much food!
Its a good restaurant, serves Indian cuisine. Food and seating area is quite good. The rates are also okay as compared to other restaurants of the same category.I recommend this restaurant.
Great tasting food at good value prices. Our group were accommodated really nicely and our orders arrived fairly quickly, despite the large quantities of food. I had the Full Thali and it was very filling. The buffet option also presented a number of people with a challenge too due to its size and variance. I think the portion sizes were good but just the quantity of dishes in each meal was enough to leave me completely full! There was a nice vibe in the restaurant but some of the decor was a little dated. Nonetheless I would recommend this as one of the best Indian restaurants in Kampala!
Food is definitely my first love and everything else follows....Very recently, I had the privilege of ordering some indian food with a friend who made note and appreciated the beauty of the cultural diversity of Indian cuisines. I highly recommend Ashiana Restaurant along Bandali close where there is so much more to explore... "
We enjoyed a delicious meal here with generous portions and good service. Definitely going back sometime soon!
One of the best Indian restaurants in town. You should definitely try the cheese naan: absolutely delicious (and a little bit expensive, UGX 12000, but totally worth it).Good options for vegetarians or for those who eat meat. The place is also beautiful, with a nice outside area to enjoy in warm days.
Indeed you reap what you saw and patience pains but pays because i used to cry just to have my dinnerh at this place but my friends could not even bather to take me there but with GODs mercy i fought had iand i went there, good enough its were i celebrated my birth day really never give up before the battle ends because the place is so cool and attractive so i call upon all members to vist this place REGURDS FROM LIBO GODWIN
Awesome food and quality service.. we had here indian food..
Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Service was excellent and the naan was amazing. I was there with friends from India and Sri Lanka who also raved about how good it was. Just the right amount of heat and spice and everything was so fresh!
Great food, good atmosphere and wonderful service. Whether you eat in or order a take away you will not be disappointed!
Ive returned to Bobys restaurant now 5 times and I love the food. Indian food is important to me and Ashiana does a great job every time. The service is above par, they dont force anything on you and are very quick to help out. I love it!
Good atmosphere, quiet and relaxing area. Food is very good. Quality service.Parking at the back.I recommend for a good Indian. Price is fair.
Great food! Good staff and service too. Friendly prices.
Extensive authentic Indian menu including North and South Indian dishes. The owner is very friendly and the food quality is fantastic. Dont miss the dosas and the vegetarian sizzler appetizer.
