Ashford Court Hotel in Sionainn
Description
I had a room booked months ago and it was cancelled with a weeks notice. No doubt it was sold for a higher price. I now have to find alternative accommodation at short notice, none seems to be available.
MoreBar closed at 9pm ,breakfast excellent, staff fantastic
Depressing soulless and dated. I hated it! So much so that even though I paid for it, I handed my keys back and booked in elsewhereThe only reason I gave one star was because the receptionist was lovely. No stars deserved!
MoreCosy hotel walking distance to city center, very welcoming and attentive staff!
Stayed in September we found our stay to be perfect. Tom and staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and great breakfast.
MoreClean spacious room with balcony. Breakfast was really good, smoked salmon and scrambled egss. All at a good price. Highly recommended.
MoreI love this hotel highly recommend , Ive stayed alot at Ashford Court over the years.Tom the owner is a true gentleman ,The staff are great very knowledgeable of the local area and go above and beyond to help you,
MoreWouldnt class this as an hotel. More like a dorm. Shabby rooms very stark but clean. Very noisy as to ongoing work at doors woke up by noise. Plus side good breakfast.. Wouldnt stay again €67.50 get what you pay.
MoreThe staff were very welcoming on arrival . Hotel is very clean and the rooms very clean too . They do a great breakfast . Located in walking distance from the main streets and pubs . Would definitely stay again .
MoreNo stopper in the bath, so no taking baths, crazy stuff even in the era of Covid19. Not the only hotel to apply this stupid hygienic rule. Pathetic!
MoreContinuation from previous post ^After our stay both my partner and I developed bed bug bites all over our legs. The room was so unclean it was a shame. On the other hand the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was just average. Definitely will not be returning again!
MoreI put one star as there wasnt an option to choose none, right from the first moment we were a party of 3 and were talking and asked to be quiet entering the hotel and told to leave reception. The man was old and on his phone be that with there is no excuse for rudeness also he also had no mask on. In fairness the guy on reception was very nice. We then went to a really dated room, shocked as Ive had better experience in a cheap hostel. Dated interior, filthy curtains and the smell in room was disgusting. Please dont stay here, I think and not completely sure but hotel might be used by homeless, whilst Im not bothered about this I think a hotel that we spent money on should be a hotel or just a hotel for homeless, not both. Also we were sitting in our room having a chat and night porter knocked on our door to be quiet we didnt even have telly on ridiculous were on a break. Plus we are not teenagers we are women in our 50s and 60s. Ennis is a fab town just choose a better hotel.
MoreVery courteous staffs, clean, budget friendly, nice spot to reside in Ennis. Lovely breakfast.
MoreAvoid at all costs we booked for two days only stayed one we had to book another hotel
MoreGreat staff, excellent breakfast, very clean but room needs to be brought up more modern
MoreVery clean rooms, staff were very helpful and food was great. Very close to the town. Will definitely come again.
MoreExcellent staff, Breakfast Great, its probably a three star, but I would give it four. The owner a guy named Tom, is a lovely guy, and couldnt have been more helpful... Would stay again...
MoreAs said before... staff were 10/10 and its a hotel with a very friendly (almost B&Bpersonal touch. Found the rooms great and the power showers were amazing. Breakfast was fab and the owner/manager an absolute gent and so helpful...
MoreThis hotel is not for everyone but such lovely staff hotel was spotless we had a lovely stay.Breakast was well worth it
MoreStaff 10/10. Nothing on them. The breakfast was really good too. Lots of variety. The rooms do not look much like the pictures. I know its only 3 stars but the state of the room was a bit disappointing. Our sink looked punched in by someone, the toilet paper dispenser was the kind of dispenser you get in pubs....with the really thin toilet paper, not even a "normal supermarket" toilet paper. The double beds were really disappointing. Its two single beds put together with a sheet on top and really uncomfortable. The two beds were different firm-ness, just uncomfortable. The place was clean at least to be fair, just wish a little things like the sink and the toilet paper dispenser and just in general, it would make the place feel like "oh at least its being looked after". It was passable for a night I guess, just not impressed any way
MoreAvoid this hotel like the covid! Drug addicts, homeless people staying there. Chaos! The government is proping this hotel up! Should just make it a shelter for the homeless full stop.
MoreOnly stayed one night instead of three due to changes in covid lockdown, had to go back to our own county because of it. Staff very helpful and refunded the two nights no problem. Only breakfast being served which was very good, also no bar open at the moment in the hotel. In a good location in the town, five minute walk to everything.
MoreThe staff was amazing 10/10.Breakfast was good, but the rooms are not great. It does not look like a 3 star hotel. The shower was fixed with tape, the king size bed was twin beds pushed together and the coffe machine was broken at the time we were there.
MoreVery accommodating staff and a great veggie breakfast. Really good covid protections in place and adhered to. Great job! They were also able to put our bikes in an indoor storage place which was great!
MoreBooked a double bed room on booking.com and got a room with 2 SINGLE beds pushed together with a double bed sheet over them!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! Complete scam!!! Didnt notice until we lay down on the bed and noticed the split/hole in the middle of the bed where the 2 single beds met. I have never encountered such falsehood. For a hotel this is just unacceptable!!
MoreGreat value, nice rooms. I was down early for breakfast and the staff was very accommodating.
MoreGood hotel with friendly staff and great breakfast. Good location near town centre.
MoreEnjoyed our stay. Quaint hotel, great service. Breakfast was good too.
Dont judge it by the outside, the inside is perfect, the triple room really nice, modern, clean. The receptionist was really really helpful, I am very happy with this hotel. Its only a short walk into the centre of town. Ennis is a beautiful town with narrow streets and full of charm.
Morethis is not a nice hotel. the pictures do not match the rooms at all. There was diry on the floor from previous guests and stains on walls and door everywhere.
MoreGood location for easy access to the town of Ennis.Room was very spacious, and clean - just what was needed for a night out in Ennis. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice, and a bit of craic with the staff.Well worth stopping by if your passing through - Ill definitely keep in mind for the next time....
MoreDisgraceful attitude towards guests , no facilities , rude owner , clueless staff, no night staff , no food served . Ridiculous RIP off , avoid this place like Ebola!Illegal fire door usage , staff speak little English, owner barges into your room in the morning uninvited .Complaint lodged with Irish tourism board, this traveller idiot shouldnt run a hotel let alone a bath.
MoreWhile it is lacking in certain facilities ie swimming pool, spa etc.; it more than makes up for it with its very close proximity to other amenities. Upon arrival, the receptionist is very welcoming and gets you checked in right away. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast and food were delicious. The experience I had was thoroughly enjoyable because of the very lovely and helpful staff. The customer service was truly excellent.Very happy customer here. Would recommend in a heartbeat!
MoreLetters missing off sign at front of hotel, visible the minute you arrive......only 2 parking spaces for the hotel had to park out on the road, rooms tiny not even enough room to place suitcase....reception desk very poor, and the pictures they have attached is nothing like the reality........positive reviews above must be hotel staff or something !!!!
MoreBeautiful boutique hotel. Amazing food and always a friendly smile. I love it and will definitely stay and recommend it to friends and family to stay in in the future.A beautiful hotel, and an amazing team behind it.
MoreReal nice place. Our room was really nice. Got excalty what we paid for. Real nice staff. Very helpful Central to town.
MoreHi . Never judge a book by its cover. This hotel is in the town so no walking too far. The rooms are of good standard
More100% on food, staff and customer service! Couldnt do enough for our group of 11 women...got a gorgeous homemade meal on the Saturday evening, by chef Anna and the breakfast in the morning, so fresh and plentiful... The old style teapots, are a lovely addition in the morning to let guests make their own. Tom the owner was a gent, and poor Ray the night porter had a lot to contend with when 11 women arrived back to the hotel at 12.30am looking for a drink, and obliged us happily ...would highly recommended for a stay in Ennis... And will return!! Well done to the management and the all the staff...
MoreCan have no complaints. Excellent room, breakfast spot on with great service, beside the town but tucked away. Staff excellent and wouldnt hesitate to go back 👌
MoreThe bed was nice and big and the Wi-Fi worked well walls maybe a little thin could hear a baby crying bit of a walk into town.
MoreWas extremely disappointed with this hotel. Mostly the restaurant. It most definitely is NOT an Italian restaurant. Little on the menu was provided and it was at a very low standard. Lidl brand everything including the wine.
MoreComfortable rooms, not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in but very friendly staff!
MoreVery run down hotel, rooms have a tiny 14" tv & the only form of heat is a switch on storage heater, it took all night for room to heat up
MoreSmall family run hotel. Great breakfast friendly staff so helpful. Highly recommended staying here.
MoreVery friendly and helpful staff, but the hotel itself is below Premier Inn standard
MoreLarge comfortable rooms. Bathrooms could use an update. Very capable personnel and close to city center. Would stay there again.
MoreOverall we had a very nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpfull, and the breakfast was good! Walking distance to town center.
MoreHave stayed here twice for hen parties, both times they took good care of us. Its in a handy location to walk into town. Parking was limited but they managed to fit us all in. The breakfast was ok, I would have preferred less of an Irish breakfast but there was plenty to eat. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and rooms were cosy , clean and comfortable.
MoreOverall had a very nice stay. The parking was very rough. I had to park in front of a fire exit (the woman at the desk told me to do sobecause no other spots were available. The elevator and mens lobby restroom were out of order. The shower curtain seemed to have a little mold on it.None of these were major issues, but added up to dropping the rating a star. As for the positives, the bed was comfortable and the room was well stocked. The receptionist was extremely friendly. She drew me a map of how to get to the center of town (great location. Only took about 10 minutes of walkingalong with suggestions as to where to go. The restaurant looked nice but I did not eat there. Great hotel for the price.
MoreFriendly staff and good breakfast. Hotel needs a bit of love though. A little unloved.
