Not great. Sighed when sober driver ordered. Wine was very average. Gave us menus with different items and when the items were the same different prices.

Great winery.

Im a bit of a wine buff of about 30 years and a bit of a chardonnay lush... Absolutely impressed with this bottle I picked up tonight from a Hawkes Bay vineyard called Ash Ridge... Its a 2017 Chardonnay ... Absolutely gorgeous!... Spot on. Low acid just the right amount of butter and perfect amount of oak. Ive never heard of you before but Ill be following closely from now on... Thank you.

A lovely experience with beautiful Hawkes Bay views 360 from the dinning table. We booked a table for 4. Enjoyed a delightful bottle of wine. Tried 3 items on the menu, and all the food was lovely and really tasteful. We had herbed pate, platter for two, and pepperoni pizza. It was an A+ all round. Only tips I would suggest, is the wait staff be more attentive and engage with the customer more and consider educating the customer on the wine. We will return however as it was delightful.

Manager was incredibly rude, was appalled with how she treated us....had she been an employee, she would have been sacked on the spot. Self righteous entitled #KarenBoomer.

Wine festival was Awesome!! Black Betty slow bbq & live music with clean & modern facilities & games. Not to mention delicious wines & wine cocktails

Nice organic wines and pizzas

Food and wine were ok. We did a tasting and service was very rushed. We didn’t feel at ease. We then tried to buy a few bottles to have with our lunch and were told there was a $7 “service” fee per bottle. Disappointed.

Amazing wines... a must visit for any wineos

Super friendly and knowledgeable. Great food, the roasted feta with honey and breads was great to soak up the wine. Can’t wait to bring friends back!

Some guy I met had the personality of a dead turtle. Less than welcoming.

The wine and pizza were delicious. I was disappointed that their sign advertises platters which we were later told are not available during the winter months.The premise was lovely, and spotless, however the grounds lacked landscaping and were a little unkempt.

Super special place! Very good wines paired by small (or largedelicious plates.There are indoors and outdoors tables in a very pleasant garden.We were there on a Sunday when several artisans were showcasing / selling their products. On top of that there was live music and the singer was EXCELLENT!I highly recommend a visit to this winery.

We went as part of a winery tour. Chris, one of the owners of Ash Ridge, explained their wine making process as we walked through the vineyard. I took a lot of new info out of the session. The wine tastings were also very delicious and we ended up buying a couple of bottles. Highly recommend!

The owner gave us a great tour of this beautiful boutique winery, including walk through vineyards, tour of production area and tasting. All very friendly and unpretentiousness. Highly recommended.

I lived on the other side of the Winery and used to hear the airguns every morning before school haha As an adult I tried the wines and it was very pleasant.The decor is quite simple yet clean however people come for the wine and the vineyards not the basic decor.Would love to see more greenery incorporated within the store. Overall Im a bit biased as I grew up here in the local area which was pretty rough. The winerys however offer a refuge from the mundane.The flavour is pretty good and I would go back again.

We had a great tour of the vineyard with the owner. He was really friendly and answered all of our questions and gave us good tips for wine tasting. The wine at the end was delicious with the Chardonnay a particular favourite of ours

We went on a tour around the establishment with the owner who was friendly and engaging. He gave a very informative lecture on the winemaking process and at the end we tasted their great wines under his tuteledge. In all a great winetasting experience with a lasting effect on our approach to wine culture.Fjölnir and Eva from Iceland

Wines nice - food, premise, service and atmosphere very average. Platter was no better than anyone could make themselves from a supermarket. Not recommended if you intend eating unless you are looking for anything other than basic.

Friendly and welcoming. Easily accommodated our group. Yummy pizzas and a great child snack plate that was well priced. Wine tasting was informative and fun.

Friendly well run winery run by an English migrant. He sold his wines very well and linked them to what types of meals each wine complemented. Great place to taste wine. They provided a nice cheese plate. Great experience.
