Anscheinend ist das im 3./4. Jahrhundert vor christi ein alter Markt gewesen. Leider ist nicht mehr viel übrig von den Gemäuern. Schade um solche historische Plätze. Wär sicher interessant wenn man solche Bauten wieder herstellen könnte, dann hat man auch eine andere Vorstellung von solchen Gebäuden und Plätzen.Aber im Großen und Ganzen ein Platz zum AnschauenKostenloser Eintritt

Un sitio muy bonito en pleno centro de la ciudad de koz, se puede visitar gratuitamente y es de fácil acceso, todavía se conservan alguna columnas pero está algo descuidado. No hay restricciones y la gente se sube a las columnas y pasea libremente por todos lados l. Deberían tener alguna restricción para mejor conservación de lo que queda

Η αρχαία αγορά στην Κω, ήταν ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα στον αρχαίο κόσμο, περιλάμβανε το εμπορικό και διοικητικό τμήμα, που βρισκόταν στην καρδιά της αρχαίας πόλης, γύρω από μια κεντρική κιονοστοιχία με ευρύχωρη ορθογώνια κάτοψη, αυλή, με αρχικό πλάτος 50 μ. και άνω των 300 μ. Η συνοικία ξεκινά βόρεια και καταλήγει νότια στον κεντρικό δρόμο που διατρέχει την πόλη κατά τον άξονα Α-Δ. Στην είσοδο του λιμανιού στη βόρεια πλευρά, που συνδέεται με το τείχος της πόλης, υπάρχει ένα τεράστιο άνοιγμα εισόδου, και στην ανατολική πλευρά βρίσκονταν τα καταστήματα.

Miejsce mogłoby być naprawdę interesujące, jednak jest dość zaniedbane (chwasty, kiepskie ścieżki dla zwiedzających, odchody, zużyte prezerwatywy przy kolumnach).

Absolutna rewelacja. Będąc w Kos musisz odwiedzić to miejsce - wejście za darmo, ale we wtorki nieczynne. Co ważne, jadąc na wycieczkę dookoła Kos z biura Itaka rezydent nie wprowadza gości na teren Agory co jest wielką stratą. Radzę zorganizować wypad do Kos autobusem i sprawdzić to miejsce samodzielnie. Spacer dookoła ruin trwa około 20 minut ale jest tu masa zakątków wręcz malowniczych.

Piękne miejsce spacerowe. Oaza spokoju w środku miasta. Niekiedy trzeba uruchomić wyobraźnię, by zobaczyć co niegdyś tutaj stało. Jednak ułatwiają to w dużym stopniu tablice z opisem i rysunkami, zdjęciami. Obowiązkowe miejsce dla miłośników historii, dla reszty urocze miejsce spacerowe, z dala od tłumów.

Leider nur ein Ruinen Feld ohne Konzept. Es fehlen richtige Wege und mehr Informationen dazu. Würde ich nochmal aufsuchen, aber sehr viel zu sehen gibt es leider nicht.

The agora at Kos is an impressive piece of history of the island. It transports the visitor centuries back in history to Ancient Greece times as well a Roman and Byzantine times. It is also a reminder of the geological activity of the islands and how earthquakes have been inherent to these lands.It would be nice to have more thorough explanations on the info boards, as the area contains a lot of historical evidence that the visitor could profit from.It is a must see for the visitor interested in history and architecture, plus it is free.

Archäologische (Park-)Anlage mit einigen Hinweistafeln, ansonsten liegen relativ „wild“ Säulen bzw. Bruchstücke davon herum. Manche wirken „seltsam“ wiederaufgebaut/aufeinander gestapelt. Insgesamt aber spannend und schön anzusehen.

Fabulous site, spread over a huge area with its origins 3/4c BC. Free admission, best site on Kos in my humble opinion, a must see if this type of history floats your boat, much better than Casa Romana.

Miejsce odkryte przez trzęsienie ziemi podobnie jak w wielu innych miejscach . Wstęp bezpłatny co jest fajne . Czuć tam powiew historii . Są tablice opisujące co w danym miejscu się znajdowało czy świątynia czy rynek lub szpital . Można powiedzieć że urbanistyka była wtedy lepsza niż teraz w niektórych miaastach .

Its good but it could be so much better. Its a fairly large site close to Kos port a short walk from the old town and from the nearby beaches. There are a few information boards but theyre now old and dated, faded from the constant sunshine.Its surrounded by so much history, but its hard to make out what was what, so information sheets, a visitor centre, maybe guided tours would be a good start. Maybe even a cafe by the entrance to help generate some funds. Children love history and the history on this site would be great to know.Its great history but it looks like its being forgotten and just left for the grass and weeds to take over. Its really sad, it could be something really special. Heres hoping that its just not left to decay further.

Sito archeologico situato nel centro della città di Kos. Noi non siamo entrati perché era a pagamento, non ricordo il prezzo, siamo comunque riusciti a vedere qualcosa da fuori e devo dire che forse meritava una visita interna, sono tuttora visibili i resti del tempio di Ercole ed Afrodite, delle mura del porto e delle colonne del mercato.

The ancient market of the island, next to the port. The entrance is free of charge.

Se non sai bene linglese poco comprendi...è sempre affascinante però vedere rovine e immaginare che molti moltissimi anni fa cera chi li mangiava pregava e amava (cit.)

A lot of ruins, nice place to walk through or walk by.

You should be history fan to fully enjoy. Not sure if it was low season, yet place seem to be abandoned an forgotten.Still one of the best sites in Kos.Next door, there is a street full of bars, coffee shop and taverns, so feel free to enjoy the view from one or theirs terrace.

Super ruiny w centrum miasta

Dallesternol sito anche dallesterno è ben visibile e purtroppo si può anche osservare che non sia troppo ben conservato.I resti dell’antica agorà cittadina, dove sono tuttora visibili alcuni resti delle mura del porto e delle colonne del mercato.

Warte miejsce obejrzenia, ponoć to ruiny starego Targu , nie płaci się za wejście , troche ma się wrażenie jakby ktoś porozrzucał te wszystkie kamienie ,resztki rzeźb na dużym terenie . Nikt tego nie pilnuje ,tak trochę dziwne ,można by chociaż skrzynkę postawić ,jak każdy by wrzucił chociaż 1€ to by było na sprzątanie tego obiektu bądź inne naprawy. Warto tu zajrzeć ,jakby się czas zatrzymał .

An archeological site in the middle of city of Cos. But to be honest, there is not much to be seen there. The agora is, well, ruined. You can see wall fragments, a few barely standing columns and many more fallen ones. There are a few plaques with detailed descriptions, and with visualisations of the buildings, which are impressive.On the good side, there is no entrance fee. But on the other hand, had there been one, funds for restoration could be eventually collected. And currently the site is not protected from vandalism - weve seen English tourist climbing the ruins.

Bardzo dobre miejsce do odwiedzenia. Wejście jest darmowe, po prostu nikt tego nie pilnuje i na bieżąco nie nadzoruje. Jest tylko kilka tablic informacyjnych z opisem danej budowli i zdjęciami pogladowymi.

Interesting archeological site. You can see the ancient agora and multiple other buildings or building insulas. Free entrance, only closed on Tuesday.

Great place of history. If you like ancient Greek, go and have a look

Rzywa historia rewelacyjne miejsce d zwiedzania

Impressionante archeologische site. Gratis bezichtigen van 8u tot 15u. Ingang aan de haven (naast politiekantoor). Je vind er restanten van prachtige mozaïeken vloeren, zuilen, oude ruïnes dit in een oase van groen. De informatieborden geven weer hoe het vroeger was. Zeer grote site, was ooit de grootste agora ter wereld. Mooie plek om tot rust te komen. Aanrader als de oleander bloeit. Enkele banken aanwezig. Hier zal je geen massatoerisme treffen. Opgelet hier is geen schaduw, vermijden op hete dagen, water meenemen is dan een must.

Ruiny starożytnego targowiska w samym centrum stolicy Kos. Warto odwiedzić, ponieważ dostępne są za darmo, w przeciwieństwie do płatnego 8 euro od osoby Asklepiejonu, który nie dość, że położony jest daleko, to oferuje niewiele więcej. Gorąco polecam. Obok ruin znajduje się aktualna hala targowa, w której kupić można m.in. bardzo dobre przyprawy :)
