Aruu Falls Campsite - Tourist attraction in Gulu, Uganda
The campsite is great, but this is not (!!!the location of the campsite.
really really appreciate the opportunity to visit this place of beauty
The walk down to the falls is amazing! Best place for photography. I would drive 500 kms to simply go and take pics then back!Tip; Ensure your shoes have good grip, my friend Ben Ntale had one Big fall that was equivalent to 4 falls. He caused a tremor 🤣
Hospitable Staff, Good Parking and good for camping
Great place for a nice picture but I went in the dry season so their barely was a waterfall but because their wasnt any water dangerous we could take a swin in the water. The hike too the waterfall isnt long but if you visit in rain season you will maybe experience a bit difficult getting there.
Wrong location on the map!
Slippery and payment too high
The best place to Relax and enjoy the sound of nafure
The best upcountry place youll ever be to!
Very very beautiful site that many have not been to. It has accommodation, valuable historical sites
I enjoyed each and every moment at the fallsMy next is to do camping around
I loved it!! Its so naturally beautiful!
Severely affected by climate change and no local standard food point but a very natural place worth all the environmental protection
A relaxing and nature place. The sounds of the water running over rocks and the cave like sections just make it a go to place...carry your own food though..
Eden camp had better facilities
Its a place with good hospitality and where your stress and worries are over come
Calm and relaxing
Very interesting with nature given scenery
Its good for camping
Not yet completed .. bright future but I would wait til its complete
Its a wonderful place with a great ambiance for camping, having fun with friends and family. Great memories can only be made here..... With its beautiful falls, the sound of the waters and the experience of crossing the waters makes the place interesting for those that love Trips.
If you love camping, surely this is the place to visit
Beautiful places
One of the remaining places in Uganda where you can view water falls. You hike to a point called the Amin’s eye because he was the first Ugandan president to view the Aruu falls. Aruu is an Acholi word meaning sounds. The view at these falls is spectacular as we visited it recently with Maddie Travels & Logistics company a tour operator in Uganda.
The place was amazing, lots of falls with lots of water and revellers having fun. The strong currents resulting from the heavy rains this year made it impossible to tour all the falls but the first fall that we could see was still breathtaking.
Great get away camping site
Just look at the photos🤗
Iconic...walking down to the river amid the thunder of the water over the rocks, heart thumping, scary, exciting and amazing all In one....
Uganda is truly a pearl. I thought when I saw Murchison falls I had seen it all but Aruu falls left me speechless. I will continually bless the Lord for such wonders. It stems from the mighty River Nile. This beauty(The Nilenever disappoints. From the Nile to River Aswa, then this magnificent fall. Its on a very high plateau. Much raised than Murchison. The roaring of the mighty waters are life.
The facilities are very basic and the service was wanting.
Oooo was very so nice to visit
Super beautiful fast flowing river.
Truly beautiful
Its nyc place that will make your day shine
This is a nice place every one should visit, this sky from down the falls, the Uniqueness of the falls, wow
its one of the beautiful falls we have in uganda with a total of seven fall. its around 7.5km off kitgum gulu high way. This where u hear music from the falls
Nice waterfall
One of my favorite places in the north!
Very nice place for chilling, no mtn network that means you will have a free mind out of social media
Great place to enjoy nature and hiking
Aruu falls is an undiscovered marvel... Great experience at the open mic event
Hidden treasure in Pader. A must visit for anyone who loves adventure
The waterfalls are magnificent however the campsite lacks basic facilities like a shower and the two available toilets are not clean. There is no running water and what is there is fetched from the river. The campsite has too many Acacia trees and the grounds not leveled. The staff are pleasant and very helpful.
The falls are beautiful
I love the place, it is even more nice when least expected.Camping site is available better with own equipment. You are required to pay extra for parking space.
Great location, poor facilities. Make sure to bring your own food.
From the sun-kissed rock formations to the frighteningly-soothing song of the cascading waterfalls (yes, theyre infact two), Aaru (or is it Aruufalls is the perfect place to contemplate the wonders of the Lord; His creativity on lavish display within the greens of the algae and the whites of the water, the silky smooth weathered rocks upstream and the textured laminate ones downstream, the boisterous roar of the plummeting water and the gentle chirps of the birds. Aaru (Aruufalls is not merely to be seen, it is to be experienced. Beware, though: you might find yourself trying to capture its beauty through a lens and forget to experience it with your entire self.
The scenary at the water falls is amazing
Beautiful place with nice falls
It has two Big falls and some small falls. Its beautiful and you can climb up very well.
