ArtBox - Museum in Sisophon, Cambodia
ArtBox in Sisophon
Description
Nicely to visit and enjoy with our family and friend !
The outside looked very nice 😬It is still closed despite lockdown being over for the last 6 months.
MoreActually they are still closed because of Covid. But... because I wanted to go there so badly, they had opened the whole building today on request for just the four of us! ArtBox was really cool! We even watched a mega impressive light show! And we had such fun making silly photos! Definitely recommended!
MoreThe staff is quite friendly. Designed well and quite interestingly set up. Unfortunately, due to limited # of tourists, we didn’t get the opportunity to experience the light show (which is amazing). Must visit while in Siem Reap
MoreThis is soooo much fun!!! The paintings are incredible. Vibrant colors, great designs. Bring someone to take pictures with - and time to enjoy the art and yourselves.
MoreBest 3D in SR everyone should take a look
The best ArtBox ever tried!
3D art box. Its beautiful and creative art at Siem Reap province, Cambodia.
its quite a shock when you get there and are confronted with a price aparthide .cheap for locals but more than double the cost for Europeans ,Americans ,Britishers ,Australins ect. It is illegal in most juristrictions but not here. We tookthe chillden and our friends eleswhere to spend our money.
MoreGreat idea and something different to do.
The first 3D musium in Siem Reap with a show. Totally recommended place when you go to Siem Reap.
MoreIt was amazing! an experience you need if you are in Siem Reap. And the entrance fee is quite cheap compared to most other attractions in and around Siem Reap. There are great photo opportunities and if youre not into posing, you can enjoy the trick-art
MoreA great and fun place to take photos. The building has different rooms for different themes and the art in every room is incredible. The place is clean, spacious, and air conditioned. The lighting ruined some illusions though. We spent 1-2 hours here.A tuktuk driver might approach you as you leave, telling you that you wont be able to get a tuktuk there since the place is far from the center and no tuktuks pass by that road. And its sorta believable. But just keep walking and wait by the main road and youll eventually be able to get a tuktuk who will charge 60% less than the first guy.
More2 adults ,we spent almost 3 hours , beautiful paintings , fun to take pictures. For a change the young dont take "selfish" .If you do not like to be bare feet, bring socks, no shoes allowed. Air-condition was a nice and welcome surprise. Much fun.
Morethere are alot of 3D picture
In the world of tourist attractions, weird museums have long been an air conditioned activity for tourist. If you like the wax museums or Ripleys, them youll like this. It is a large building full of murals that you can take photos in front of. If you take the photos from exactly the spot that they recommend, the pictures look 3D. Visual Illusions... But its fun. Dont do alone. You need a photographer. Not selfie friendly.
MoreWe had so much fun being creative with the different art pieces there is something for everyone
MoreInteresting, fun, 3D art. The staff are extremely helpful and will assist with photography too. Something different in Siem Reap.
MoreArtbox Siem Reap is fun for photo lover.
Best and funny placeIf you in angokar (Cambodiamust visit and you will enjoy the place
MoreGood place with b u ti full background
This is a new must try place when you are in Siem Reap!15 talented artists have arranged magnificent world land marks that you can take amazing photos.
MoreHey guys if you plan to travel Seim Reap and interest in 3D art then dont miss here. Completely recommend!
MoreYou will get tired of talking so many pictures, photos were ok, nice place
Nice place with take photo 3D
Fun and worth a few hours. The 3d app didnt work kn my s10+ though which was annoying, and it would be nice if there were more staff on to help take couples pictures
MoreSuper fun place to spend a few hours when the sun is at its highest. One of the biggest 3d art museums. So many pictures and perspectives to choose from.Theres also a bunch of bizarre albeit enjoyable non-3d art as well. They all have a spot where Its recommended to take a picture, but it can be a lot of fun to switch it up.Get creative!
MoreA very good place for taking beautiful 3D pictures with many backgrounds.
I always take a chance to visit these, this one is cheap and a very good standard. Go on update your profile pic. Haha
MoreGreat place and well worth the $10.00 admission fee.I actually had no idea what I was in for. I love art and saw this huge place with a couple amazing murals on the outside so I decided to venture in and glad I did. This "trick art" experience is very unique and definately worth checking out.I will make a few suggestions...1. If possible bring a date as you will have more fun and be able to take some very cool photos.2. If you have children, do take them as they will have a great time.3. Be sure to bring a fully charged phone!4. Prepare yourself for a couple hours and try to go at a time when it will not be so busy.5. Please do not make any purchase from the gift shop because everything being sold there could be found for a very small fraction of the price at any nearby shop, market, etc.
MoreWe stumbled accidentally upon this and only ventured in on a whim... SO GLAD we did, if you go, you are in for a treat. Try and go at a quiet time, which for us was during the day (helped take the heat of midday off us). We had so much fun in there and stayed for about 3 hours. I wont spoil it for you but go in there with a camera and use your imagination. Best suited with at least 2 of you and if you are old enough, have a beer or a glass of wine first to make it more interesting!
MoreGreat place. Interesting. You need to go with someone to take photos of each other or it just doesn’t work. If you are solo then ask one of the staff, one of them went round with me and shot loads of photos for me. Look at the thing on the floor and pose how it says. It might seem weird but it will look great in the photo. $10 entry fee.
MoreKids had great fun!! Some adults were enjoying as well.. 😊.. its very close to airport.. so, went to art box on the way to airport for an hour. Nice last spot in siem reap.
MoreWas good but could do with more help with taking photos
Nice place with beautiful picture with many world heritage
Fun few hours spent with the family being creative! Great for a few laughs, just remember to bring your smart phone and an open mind. Suitable for ages 3+. Not sharing any photos because you should let the images be a surprise. :)
MoreInteresting place and good option to kill an hour on the way to the airport. Small kids should have a blast. Can get a bit annoying if a tour bus or two arrives at the same time you do.
MoreA very good place if you are going with kids or just want to get the kids out of you. a word of advice, please get your best camera with you when you go there, as the mobile cams are not best advised, have at least 2-3 hrs with you if you need to take snaps leisurely for each design. further dont use flash while shooting the pics. the place is very well structured and this will be a place you will remember for a long timeThere is a wonderful center piece where a real apsara sits and poses for photos with the visitors, very thoughtful, they have a good cafeteria and a very good place for kids to practice art work.Highly Recommended
MoreSaw it on the tuk tuk ride from the airport then stumbled upon it on a day cycling around. Really fun way to spend a few hours. $10 entry is worth every penny. 3D app takes ages to download but worth the wait.....bring the artwork to life! A must do!
MoreNot worth it. Cost $10 bucks to get in(only really worth $3 tops). Based on the pictures they show, I thought it was more of an interactive style art room. It’s only 2D not 3D like it states on the website. The art is decent and it looks cool in pictures but when you’re actually walking thru it’s only sub-par. If you’re a budgeting backpacker you can easily skip this.
MoreAmazing place. Great art on walls and floor. Also very suitable for kids. You can easily spend about 2 hours in there. Make sure your phone is fully charged as you will be shooting pictures en mass. Toilets are also available. A perfect escape from the rain as the entire place is indoor. They even have a little cafeteria for a quick drink.
MoreImpressed with all the murals, its a huge place with floor to ceiling pictures. But it was difficult to find the right angle for many of the pictures.
MoreI did not like it. First off, I felt that the price is too high for what it is (in my opinion the quality of the murals is average at best)Also, the price is different for locals and foreigner which cant be justified for a private business (Ive heard all the arguments about this, thank you). Finally, its just too crowded and messy, there is no queue system in place so enjoy pictures with strangers or worse, people actively trying to get selfies of you and them without your consent.
MoreArtbox is Amazing with its illusion art work. We had the greatest experience exploring this brilliant museum in downtown of Siem Reap city.It is located to the West of Siem Reap Pub Street taking you approximately 5 minute drive through Sok San Road and Ring Road. The place itself has a huge parking area which is easy with the parking. Inside the museum, you are not allowed to wear shoes, so you have to keep them at the reception, it’s very safe with professional guard, before starting the tour. To well understand, you will be guided by the local guide how it works with the photo taken and where to go. There are about 150 different painting arts that make you feel different tastes. It cost me 5$ per person and it might be $15 for a foreign visitor.Everything looks amazing, clean, and cold. So, you can spend your time happily.I highly recommend Artbox to family with kids and teenagers. I am sure they really LOVE it.
MoreThis place look so amazing with 3D painting art in Siem Reap town. I been there with my family last few months ago, all art look more attractive and you kids will be happy and a lot of fun. Also good for people who like to take a photo to post on social Media.
MoreGreat place to take the family for fun photos!
Took my 2 kids (a 4 year and 2 year oldand they both loved it. We also had a great time. The artwork was fantastic and the only disappointment was when it stopped. I was hoping it would have lasted a bit longer because we were enjoying it so much. We had ice cream and waffles on the way out and they were good too.
MoreI went with a large group of children from Butterfly Paradise Orphanage this last Cambodian New Year. It was awesome. I went as a photographer for the group. The camera positions that are marked out to help you with you photos were in excellent positions especially for smart phone users. For other photographers that have bigger cameras, I would advise you to take a lens that will give you a good wide angle view but also some telephoto capabilities would also be good. The 3d murals in some of the exhibits are very big.I would go again anytime.
MoreThe worlds largest trick art museum..ArtBox was pretty cool and its right here in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Near Angkor Wat temples, so its a perfect change of scenery after a couple of days in the stunning temples and hot streets. (Great aircon;Worth the $15 for foreigners or $5 for locals, especially if youre into fun 3D art. Kind staff, clean facilities, and also has a small cafe. Great for 2 or more people, better with a larger crowd because the purpose is to pose with the art for pictures. Perfect for families too.
MoreNice done, I went with a friend and we had a lot of fun, it definitly isnt just for kids! You will have a ton of fun photos after the visit.Really worth it, I would recommend it to everyone!!
